We stayed at B&B Conte Luna for 10 days, we really enjoyed it. The couple that own it are very pleasant, helpful and ever present should you need them. The rooms are very clean and very up to date everything being in good order. The owners are very security conscious which is reassuring the property has several safe guards. The property is very well placed in the old town to access restaurants etc but not so close to any of them that you would be disturbed by any of them. We stayed in room 11 which is on the top floor next to the communal balcony which was great it was like having our own large balcony. However on one or two nights one or two guests perhaps a bit worse for wear managed to find their way up to the balcony and did make a bit of a racket. Also as room 11 is pretty much at roof height or just below, the noise from the boisterous seagulls throughout the night is constant. We always carry earplugs so for us these were minor intrusions that wouldn’t stop us from asking for this room again. We didn’t find parking a problem while we were here there always seemed to be a space some place. We would definitely return to B&B Conte Luna. I don’t know why it’s called a B&B, it’s better than a lot of Hotels I’ve stayed in Italy

We were welcomed with juice and typical Sicilian cakes. A pretty, immaculate hotel, only yards from the beautiful central Piazza. Convenient for our language school, restaurants, shops and bars. Angela and Tiziana, led the helpful and friendly staff to ensure we had a wonderful stay. The breakfasts were plentiful and varied, including Sicilian dishes. There is a lift, but there a few steps up to it. We had a big and comfortable family room, with a safe and shower. Angela speaks very good English and introduced us to the Town App, which has audio walking tours. She also arranged minibuses when we needed them.

Stayed here for one night on our tour around Sicily. Located close to the centre of the old town in a back street with an entrance of faded grandeur. Parking close by proved difficult so had to walk about 800 metres. Didn’t help that Dolce & Gabbana where in town putting on an elaborate show. Our room, Al Porto was compact without a window but did have a little door onto a tiny balcony, this gave little natural light. The bed was a good size and comfortable. En suite was fine. Everyone mentions how good the breakfast is, great if you like sweet cakes and pastries as there was a wide selection. A little offering of fruit, nuts and yoghurt was also available. The hosts were very friendly and informative plus they have a lovely Chow Chow dog called Leone. We ate at Osteria II the best meal we had on our tour. They specialise in Mozzarella starters and beef steaks to die for.

Very nice hotel with a view to the sea. The rooms are large and comfortable. The people at the front desk is very polite and they helped us with some paperwork we needed to print, they made the copies right there and in full color. Great people, great place and even though we only stayed for one day, it was crucial for what we needed to do and our time there was very pleasing.

Fazio B&B turned out to be the perfect choice for our family's short stop in Sciacca. A lovely, comfortable, immaculately kept, place with beautiful, spacious rooms each decorated in a unique decor. Conveniently & contrary to a previous report, there is a small elevator to reach the upper floor. Breakfast is included with the very reasonable price of the room & offers incredible Sicilian pastries, breads and other options such as fruit, ham, & pizza to tempt your palate. While dinner is not offered here, the restaurant right next door is a great option with one of the best meals we had in the city. Many other great restaurants are also within easy walking distance. The location is actually ideal, as it is on a little side street close to the historic district and a short walk to view the amazingly beautiful Mediterranean Sea. The owner/staff are warm and helpful and make you feel like you are coming home to visit family! Aldo was also very kind to help arrange a private taxi to tour Mt. Kronio and other parts of the city not easily reached on foot. A huge thank you everyone at Fazio B&B & to Aldo & Pamela, especially, who made our visit so enjoyable.

Hotels Near Porta Di Mare Ristorante In Sciacca Review

We booked this place at the end of our Sicily trip for 4 nights lured in by the promise of the Kids Club creche which meant we'd be able to have some couple time, hurrah! Tackling the big downside first...it is ruinously expensive for those of us paying in pounds (which may explain the abundance of Germans and Americans, and paucity of Brits!) and you're a captive audience so charges are high even for things that are cheap as chips in Italy like gelato and pasta; consider that a bottle of water will set you back EUR6 (please, Verdura, provide filtered water for free, you're a luxury resort, you can do it!), the creche service is EUR20 an hour, cocktails start around EUR16 etc. If you can get over that or money is no object, here's the upsides... 1) Our room (the most basic) was absolutely huge, with great view, walk in wardrobe, giant bathroom and plenty of room for cot 2) the SPA is UNBELIEVABLE! Probably the biggest hammam steam room I've ever seen, 4 outdoor thalassotherapy pools, indoor pool, steam rooms etc and this is all free for guests to use so make the most of it 3) the Kids Club was fab with absolutely wonderful, friendly, competent staff, and it provides a nice space for the little ones to stay and play (either with you or without you, for a fee for under 3s), which seems to be a rare thing if you're travelling with small children. So, overall worth it, but comes at a price!

Sciacca was our first destination after arriving in Sicily for our deferred (because of Covid19) trip. Sciacca was famous for its tuna fishing industry and the buildings used for this wonderful hotel previously had a life as a tuna storage/processing facility dating back to the 1700's. We couldn't have picked a better start for our accommodation choices for our trip, as this was without doubt a superb boutique bed and breakfast/hotel. Rooms are constructed on an open plan apartment based format, with a combined living / sleeping area and and another section containing a small kitchenette and a long bathroom with an excellent, powerful shower. The building is set out in a large square overlooking  central gardens. Outdoor space for each apartment is well catered for both front and rear. The rear has a large set of comfortable garden furniture & parasol and benefits from the morning sun. At the front is a twin table/chairs, parasol and quality sunloungers. This receives the afternoon sun. Both patio areas benefit from manicured mature hedges fox distanced quality sun lounger and parasol. There are no restaurants immediately close by although Venti Nodi is in the next inlet over (nice setting for this sea food restaurant, but better value & quality can be had by taking a drive/taxi into Sciacca). Our favourite was Trattoria Il Faro (The Lighthouse) which was an excellent (again mainly seafood) restaurant popular with locals, so booking is recommended.  I have to mention the staff and owners, all of whom were so welcoming and friendly. Always available if needed, but respectful of your space to relax and enjoy this unique hotel.

We spent two nights at this lovely boutique hotel on a recent 3-week trip through Sicily. As others have noted, the hotel is modern, immaculate and well-designed, especially the bathrooms which use space and design elements very well. We found it extremely comfortable and we liked the town a lot. We used it as a base for a day trip to Valley of the Temples (about an hour's drive and not to be missed) and for Selinunte (equally fascinating). Sciacca is not particularly a tourist destination, which was a plus for us, and we enjoyed strolling through the town, taking in the gorgeous harbor views and dining at two excellent restaurants just a few minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The one point, as others have noted, is parking. The hotel is on the busy main street that runs through town. Even stopping to drop off or pack in luggage can be a challenge. The hotel tries to use two spaces in a nearby square for these purposes, but cars are often in those spots. When we were there, we were unable to get a spot in the nearby parking lot (on a busy Sunday) but finally found a spot in another lot up the street. This isn't a deal-breaker by any means, given the pleasures of the hotel, but it is something to be aware of, and the hotel doesn't have the staff to do this task for their guests, so be prepared to allot some time for the parking situation. Otherwise, this is a top choice for the area and we enjoyed the town and the hotel very much.
