The hotel's price/performance ratio is super high. The location is a bit far from the bustling area, but not too far. The staff thought very well when communicating with the hotel about the luggage. I am very satisfied with the service of the hotel!

If I could give zero stars I would. I am in the second of a three day stay at the hotel. I used their valet parking and called the front desk this morning to request my car be pulled around, and was told the valet went to the airport on a shuttle and would be back and that there was nobody else working the valet desk. I waited 20 minutes to get the car, and when I complained to the front desk in person I was told that there were actually two valets working today. So the first person I spoke to obviously did not know what they were talking about. Then I found out that if you go to the front desk you can park in the same lot a block away that the hotel uses for less money, and nit gave to wait fir a valet. All they had to do was add this feature to your room key. I did that and when I tried it the gate would not come up. I left my car in front of the hotel and walked the block to and from the parking lot four different times before the key that they kept on fixing would work. Our room was not cleaned. We called the front desk and they told us that you have to request your room to be clean 24 hours in advance. We talked to other people we know who are staying here now And they said they never requested their room be cleaned 24 hours in advance, and the rooms were cleaned. Does anyone at this hotel know what they're talking about? This is a Westin hotel?! No one ever told us that when we checked in. When I questioned the front desk clerk, Catalina, she took out the little sign that they hand out she said when people check in, stating they need 24 hours notice to clean the room, yet no one gave me that when I checked in. She rolled her eyes at me when I told her I wanted my room cleaned today. Why don't they place these cards in the hotel room? Why dies their website not state that you need to give 24 hours notice to get your room cleaned? I called the general manager 3 1/2 hours ago and left my phone number for him to call me back and he has never called me back. We had to plead to two housekeepers in the hallway to clean our room. Thankfully they are the most capable people we have met yet in this hotel and the room was finally cleaned. This is one of the most poorly managed hotels I've ever stayed in and gives a bad name to Westin and Marriott Bonvoy. None of the staff seem to know what they are doing. There is also very little space to store your clothes once you unpack. I recommend staying away at all costs!!!!

The hotel is clean and has a great location! We were however very disappointed that this hotel did not have a pool like the app lists! Currently there also is no one to cook for at the restaurant so there was only a bar no food!

While it's unsurprising that the PHH has succumbed to some pandemic-related cuts, the changes combined with the premium prices left my fiance and I wanting as compared to trips in the past. $600/night for a king garden view and there was no mini bar this time, no place within the hotel offering a wide variety of snacks (my fiance said she thought she saw a vending machine somewhere), very limited room service (5 - 9pm only), and limited dining room hours (breakfast and dinner only). I felt this information wasn't accurately conveyed on the website, as no hours were listed for anything. The menus were also rather limited for both breakfast and dinner. The breakfast fare was good and though a bit high-priced not entirely unexpected given the hotel. All this food situation wouldn't have been as big a deal if nearby restaurants weren't also experiencing staffing shortages which force them to closer earlier than pre-pandemic times (like Pat's Pizza which used to be open until midnight but now is only open until 9pm). The two convenience stores w/in a mile's walk also aren't open late/offer robust food stuffs. The hotel's geographic location in downtown relative to sights and restaurants remains prime. For the vast majority, staff was on point from valet to check out. One exception was when we arrive early for check-in. Desk staff said they could call us when the room was ready, so we provided out phone number. We never got a call. We had a decent time hanging out in the hotel courtyard enjoying some sunshine - two staff even came out to ask if we wanted them to light the fire pit just for us! - but at 3;50pm we decided to head to a nearby locale. We returned around 6pm to check-in and the staff seemed unphased. That was a misfire. We've been to Portland at least 3 times over the past 5 years and have stayed here each time, so we don't have any foreseeable plans to return to Portland. If we do, we've learned an important lesson to call any hotel prior to booking to get the details on snacks/dining.

We stayed here on our first ever trip to Portland, after quite a bit of research. It consistently came up with high marks due to its location. After having stayed there for four days and three nights, I totally concur. It’s a great spot to set up for all of the walkable Old Port amenities, from restaurants and shops, to the waterfront attractions. The lobby and sundries shops are well appointed, and the front desk staff was very helpful and accommodating. The king room is modern and clean, with a fridge, keurig, and microwave. The bed was quite comfortable, despite my finicky back. Shoutout to Sloan behind the bar, as she provided us with great service on two of the nights, and helped with many great suggestions. One thing I found odd was that the front desk and restaurant refused to take a takeout order. I assume their room service had been shut down due to COVID, but I found their adamant refusal to even take a pickup order by phone to be odd. Perhaps it’s due to staffing shortages. We ended up going down for breakfast instead, and I’d recommend trying the corned beef hash - which is homemade. The omelet was also quite good. We considered other properties further to the west, but being Hilton Gold, we chose this one, and we’ll definitely stay here again on our next trip. It’s a great spot.

The hotel is a business type, good, simple, but everything is available, parking 20 knives a day. By the sea, it is very good to walk, it is also a tourist attraction, and it is very lively in the town market. There is also a relatively large church in the town. The glass painting inside is very attractive to me. The locals are very friendly, the seafood is super delicious, the oysters are not too tired, the lobster morning market, 9.9 knives. Unforgettable town of Portland

Our stay at the Inn at St. John was lovely. The staff at the front desk were very kind and thorough during check in. They were also very happy to answer any questions. Parking was free. We had space to park most of the time except for one time we parked on the street which was fine. Our room was 1A. We had a lot of luggage since our trip was a week long and Portland was part of a two day stop on our road trip. We knew that this Inn did not have an elevator so we packed 2 days worth of clothes in our small carry ons. This made it much easier on the stairs. Please consider this when choosing this hotel. I did receive an email a week before hand to let them know if you need a first floor room. The room was very clean and I appreciated the fanned tissue paper and towels. It added a nice touch. I also enjoyed the free cookies and apple cider at noon and the free breakfast in the morning. The room rates were a really good price compared to other places. With that being said, you cant expect large spaces and large bathrooms. This is a historic Inn and rooms were made smaller then. The rooms are relatively small and so is the bathroom. The shower was made for only one person to fit in but it was fine. I feel like the free parking, wifi, snacks, and breakfast were definitely added values that I enjoyed. My boyfriend and I did feel like the room we stayed at was haunted because one of our carry-ons was in a different spot in the room when we came back after filling up our water bottles and putting the parking pass in the car. On the first night around 11 pm, my backpack fell off the safe when it was sitting there since we checked it. It also didn’t fall forward but to the side. It was a little weird but didn’t seem harmful. Apart from that weird experience, our stay was fairly comfortable and the staff were very kind! I definitely enjoyed the cookies!

Great 3-night trip over April vacation with kids. The indoor pool was perfect for them and the location was fantastic. We walked to dinner every night and enjoyed the nearby Promenade. It was really easy and fun. The best part, however, was the staff. When we checked in, Matt was so friendly and joked with my kids. When I was late to breakfast one morning, a staff member assured me not to worry and to take my time. I really appreciate their extra effort!

This hotel is nice, the rooms are clean and nice, though a bit older, and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The lighting in the rooms could be a bit better and there's lots of plugs but none of the USB plug ins that most hotels have right now. There is a mini-store in the lobby to buy food and snacks and such but there does not appear to be any free breakfast (all other hotels we have stayed at recently had some form of a basic free breakfast) - they do have an inexpensive made to order breakfast that you can pay for though and people seemed to appreciate that, though we did not use it. The AC in the room is very, very loud,as I think this is an older hotel. the hotel shuttle was awesome (main reason we stayed here) and the shuttle drivers were right on time and very helpful (I used the shuttle twice to drop the rental car off and then to get back to the airport - no issues at all). This hotel is a bit further away from the airport than most, but it's not far at all - maybe a ten minute drive. The shuttle is shared with the Marriott down the street, and it seems to run every half hour. There's a McDonalds literally right next door and other stores and fast food places nearby. Good choice if you can get a great deal on it - the shuttle was the main draw for us as we have stayed at other hotels where the airport shuttle was unreliable and we wanted to ensure that we got to the airport on time - this was an excellent choice for that reason..

The high-speed exit is here, very convenient. There is an EGG & I restaurant next to the hotel, although the accommodation does not include breakfast, it is also convenient for dining. The parking lot is large and just stops. Free wifi is given after check-in, and many hotels in big cities have to charge. Chat with friends and family, the lobby has a spacious lounge area, and each floor has a sofa negotiation area. I have lived in several Ramada hotels in the United States, but this is the first time I have seen two wash basins in the room. One bathroom, one next to the door. This way, family members can use it at the same time in the morning, saving time, which is very good. The room has a spacious balcony and it is very comfortable to get up in the morning. The free daily newspaper at the door of the room is very warm every morning. Although the hotel is not in the downtown area of Portland, but the throttle is here, no time was wasted. It is more spacious than the downtown hotel, affordable, parking is free and free, wifi speed is free, the room has a double wash basin. In short, it is highly recommended.
