Very good location at the same price, very close to the business district and the church square. The rooms are very spacious, very different from those cramped hotel rooms. It is more suitable for the whole family to travel together. The breakfast is very rich, and it is not compliant with a five-star hotel. If the check out is too early, the hotel will prepare a take away breakfast in advance. The only thing to note is that the front desk is not staffed 24 hours a day. If you arrive too late, it is best to greet the hotel in advance.

I love grand hotels, and this is one. I have to clarify that I stayed in room 303, with huge windows and a balcony and no stairs. Perfect. My room was beautifully decorated, giving the feeling of a "grand hotel". Breakfast was probably one of the best ever breakfasts I ever had in a hotel, regarding service (with a smile) and quality and variety of the food. I also used the hotel to secure transportation from and back to CTA, Catania airport. The price was fair and the quality of the service great.

We tend to be more budget travelers but we splurged on this elegant hotel and were not disappointed. Our superior room on the second floor was beautiful, with high ceilings, stone walls, accent lighting, and the most comfortable bed we have ever slept on. The hotel staff was very nice in helping me find nearby free street parking for two days, literally adjacent to the hotel. The breakfast buffet looked amazing but we were too cheap to add that cost and got great pastries and cappuccino at the Dolce&Freddo Pasticeria right down the block for a quarter of the cost. We were happy to leave our car behind and make the 10-15 minutes walk to the center of Ortigia or the other direction to the archeological zone. Not being in the center of Ortigia made it a relatively quiet place as well. We saw the highlights in two full days but could have stayed longer. Siracusa was a delight in early April ... Ortigia was buzzing with local families doing a passeggiata in their finest on Palm Sunday! We were 100% satisfied with our stay at Caportigia Boutique Hotel and recommend it highly.

4 star hotel in great location 500 meters south to Ortigia Island 2km to the north to reach the archaeological site park Rich variety of breakfast There is free parking on the side of the road at the entrance. There is an enthusiastic uncle in the shop opposite to tell me how to park better The roadside room is noisy due to the sweeping work in the early morning, but the balcony is great. There are gains and losses, right?

We stayed here for three nights in September 2019. Unfortunately we had the room on the ground floor which whilst lovely and spacious has no dedicated outdoor area as the opening patio doors lead straight on to the cafe terrace. It may also be noisier than higher rooms albeit it is a very quiet area during the night. The shared roof terrace is great though, and we had it to ourselves both times we went up there. Breakfast was self-service and there didn’t appear to be a massive choice although I think you can ask for other things from behind the counter such as croissants etc. The coffee was excellent. Location-wise, it is only a short walk to the main thoroughfares and associated shops and cafes. We arrived by train and a taxi cost 15 Euros each way - it’s not really walking distance with luggage.

I hope not to incur the wrath of the Direttore generale and that he accepts this as a balanced review. Beautiful building, very comfortable room and bathroom, perfectly decent breakfast (don't know where other reviewers were eating). One of the highlights for us was the fabulous swimming pool with lots of space for lounging. There is a lovely balcony area perfect for G&T o'clock. We stayed as part of a Titan tour so dinner was fixed choice, fixed time. Food was fine for high volume catering and wines were very reasonable. Now things to consider. There is very little to attract you in the immediate area, so if you were going to stay here on a b&b basis and want to eat out in Ortiga (which you really should) you will run up a hefty taxi bill or get very fit. While we were there the hotel was dominated by coach tours so life can get pretty hectic in the breakfast area if all trips are heading out at around the same time. So in summary if you are on a tour and this is your designated hotel you will have a perfectly pleasant experience. If you are traveling independently I would head down the hill to Ortiga.

We loved everything about this hotel. The staff was amazing and we felt so at home the entire visit. The breakfast was wonderful and a little different each morning. Our hosts offered us the choice of two rooms - both of which looked right out on to the water. We enjoyed the drinks at the tables right outside the hotel and relaxed as we watched the sun set each evening. We just can't say enough about the attention to detail in every way. Oh, and I can't forget to mention that there are multiple terraces - all of which provide stunning views.

Albergo stile anni 80. Camere molto carine e confortevoli. TV, aria condizionata, cambio lenzuola e asciugamani ogni giorno.

Although I had planned we stay in Ortega .....( booked up) this hotel turned out to be excellent for our needs, close to the Archaeological Park and museum and brilliant for the hop on off tourist bus which took us to Ortega. The delightful manager changed our ‘privilege’ room to another with walk in shower (not a bath to climb into!) Special mention to wonderful reception staff Simone Fortune for advice on restaurants, transport and things to do.

The views from the breakfast terrace over the harbour were lovely, and the breakfast buffet was one of the better ones, the bed was comfortable enough, the aircon was ok, and the in-room safe was one of very few I encountered in Sicily which actually worked, but there were issues. I was in a room with an internal view. The first evening, when I tried to slide the shower door closed it came off the rails, almost fell on me, and I had to carefully lift it to the corner of the bathroom. I mentioned it at reception the next morning, and it was back on the rails by that evening, but I'm not sure how permanent the fix was. The second evening there was not enough hot water for a proper shower. I had picked this B&B in part because the website mentioned secure parking, at an additional cost. I was phoned on the afternoon of my arrival to check what time I planned to arrive (I think in part so that someone could take my car to the secure car park). I arrived a little earlier (about half an hour earlier) than planned, in a torrential rainstorm, and having driven round the block in circles trying to work out where to stop to check in. Having stopped on the street very close to the hotel (somewhere where I think parking wasn't allowed, as opposed to one of the "Ortigia residents only" spaces, I checked in. The friendly helpful receiptionist/manager said that he'd move my car to the parking space, but it ended up in one of the spaces on the street, rather than a secure car park elsewhere (maybe the latter was full?) The next night I arrived back after 8pm when reception closes, so ended up leaving the car in the conveniently located but eye-wateringly expensive harbour car park (30 Euros from 8 pm to around 11 am the next day).

Arrived at about 19.15 without pre booking. Receptionist, who I think is the owner was very helpful. He offered us alot of tips regarding restaurants and Ortigia. We parked infront of the hotel in the reserved parking. Hotel is very clean, rooms are big in size. It is situated in an old building without lifts, but he offered to take our bags upstairs. As their was a private party in another building infront, he gave us rooms on the other side of the building so we could have a good night rest. Breakfast wasn’t exactly what we expected, 1 choice of cake, mini croissants, rusks, jam, biscuits and plain yoghurt. Maybe the reason is because he wasn’t expecting us and at this time of year, it’s not that busy. Position is very close to ortigia. In 5 minutes walk you ll be in the Main Street with many restaurants. All in all good priced hotel with a very friendly, caring owner who maked you enjoy your stay.

The Una hotel thinks of everything to make your stay 100% comfortable and pleasant. The spacious suite we were assigned had a lovely private terrace and a massage chair. There is a modern coffee maker in the room and an honor bar in the lounge. The staff was very helpful. The only down side is that it is not walking distance to Ortigia but a bit closer to the archeological sites. If you have a car then no problem but taxis are expensive. The restaurant offered tasty food in elegant surroundings with a well curated breakfast included in the price.

It is only good for a 3-star structure that has significant disorders and risks of persistence that require continuous arrangements and adjustments. The rooms are only walking through a 26-stage stairway when you stop at the first floor and others are not available. 15 stairs if you go up to the second floor. The high-level pedestal ratio out of the habitability parameters and high fall risk that without light for 2 nights I let you imagine. It is not equipped with lift. There is a loading that stops only at the first floor and is hand-held by you (you see it) for the pickup of your bags. Sufficient room with indoor bathroom and third bed very uncomfortable for a child. Terrazzino? But no .... it is only a balcony with 2 seats and 1 table per face and view unusable for the presence of 2 external air conditioning units that continuously throw hot air right on the flat-spot area and oblige the guest to keep the window window always closed to avoid the inlet of the hot air generated by the winds in the room. Last breakfast kids....You can understand compliance with anti-covid rules but you cannot accept the inconsistency and wrongness of the guests in a 3-star hotel that has to ensure breakfast to its guests and cannot say, During the stay, "we have wrong breakfast is not your responsibility", considering the discomfort of having to consume it (as from mail) at a neighboring bar. I booked a 3-star hotel, a room for 2 adults and a child, and I found myself with a contract only room, without breakfast, huge parking difficulties and especially to live in a BODIFICIO with high risk of viability. In short good Italians .... we arranged. I forgot .... want advance payment

The rooms are very beautiful and stylishly decorated. They have everything you expect from a B&B. The air conditioning is very modern and you can make various settings. The rooms also have roller shoes that you can really make it dark. Unfortunately, you can hear the street noise. A very big negative point is the cleanliness. Surfacely everything seemed clean at first sight, but several hairs were both in the bathroom and in the bed. Also the duche was stuck with hair. The rooms were "cleaned" only once in the time (4 days). After the cleaning power there was only the bed made. Dental paste spots on the floor and grumbles were still there. The towels were also only rearranged (one was even wet from the shower). I don't need a stranger in the room if she doesn't do anything there.

My daughter and I stayed at Eureka Palace and thoroughly enjoyed it so much that we returned for two more nights a week later. It’s clean and beautiful, and close to beaches. Our room overlooked horse race tracks and we enjoyed watching horses very much. We even Visited the stables and everyone was super friendly to let us pet their beautiful horses. The SPA was awesome! I’d give this hotel 10 stars if I could, and I highly recommend it. BELLISSIMO!!!

Great location, easy check in but were not explained where the facilities were nor that the curtains were operated by a button! Our room was on two levels, when we arrived the sofa bed was set up which was strange as there was only the 2 of us so we had to disassemble that, the main bed was up on the mezzanine and the sofa lounge area and bathroom with shower head on the lower level which meant we had to get showered and dressed in the lounge area, there is space for at least a chest of drawers upstairs. The bathroom with shower head on the side of the bath had no curtain/screen so was very awkward and made no sense. The tv was very temperamental when trying just to find some light music to play while we relaxed/ preparing for our evening out. The breakfast was ok but felt we were eating in the reception area thoroughfare. The restaurant staff however were very polite, professional and nothing was any trouble. We had to ask for water, was not offered neither were any fruit juices. We’ve stayed in better places for better value money but did not spoil our holiday.

I travel and alone most the time . I chose this hotel because of location to the train station and PRICE . There are hundreds of hotels to stay in . Most you will need a taxi to get to . Sicily was here before Jesus and like most of Italy you visit to see the sights . As for being safe I had absolutely no problems . As for being dirty and run down I’ve been in much worse at the Holiday Inn USA . I’m in my room to sleep and the mattress was a comfortable memory foam that let me sleep better than my Sealy Posturepedic at home . The staff was more than professional and very polite . The breakfast was much better than most in Sicily . Remember what I said about cost ? The breakfast is good and yes there are hotels with better food but it should be a fast quick meal because you know you can’t wait to sit along side a street for lunch so it’s way more than sufficient. A 24 hour desk is better than many in Sicily should you have a problem . As for the noise so many complaints were about ? Italy can be noisy but I didn’t need ear plugs . The TV ? It had CNN but I came here to get away from the USA and not worry about the blunders I’m missing out on . There is a Hop on Bus just a few blocks away and at 5 euros all day it’s a great bargain . Sit on the right side of the bus as you will see better at most sights HOWEVER get off the bus at the sights you want to see . It’s a bargain and my hotel desk clerk told me to hop on board . So complain about a bargain or enjoy Siracusa. The choice is yours but I am a world traveler and I have no problem recommending this hotel . Remember that you can spend much more and by doing so you may feel obligated to stay in your room on most of your visit because you paid too much . It is a 5 minute walk from the train station and about a 15 minute walk to the center of Ortigia. The island is just not that big and this hotel is plenty close and just fine fir your stay .

We stayed for 2 nights as part of a family vacation. We booked three rooms. Two double and one triple. The triple room was obviously the most expensive. Th rooms were clean but definitely no up to a 4 star standard. Broken shelves in the bathroom are not replaced therefore there were screws poking out from the wall and there was not enough room to put the toiletries on. Mosaic tiles were missing in the shower cubicle. The room was dark with only 2 night shades that provide light in the room. In the triple bedroom there was no hot water. When we reported this to the front desk they said they will tend to it and offered an empty room next to our room for us to shower there however the day after there was still no hot water. So on both days we had to wash in each others rooms. Breakfast was not bad but not superb as coffee was served in caraffes and it was often cold. No tea/coffee making facility in room. No ironing facility in room. Hairdryer in room old and slow. Although the hotel is in a busy street, the rooms are sound proof and we did not hear any noise. Next time I will definitely not choose this hotel even if I have to pay more.
