The only thing you should pay attention to is that the cable car runs until 9 pm, and you need to take a taxi back to the hotel after 9 pm. It's not too expensive for around ten yuan. 3. The breakfast provided by the hotel is at Casa Valadez next to the Juarez Theater. It is said to be one of the most famous restaurants in Guanajuato.       Good point The view is good anyway. You can easily climb the rooftop and have breakfast there. And the breakfast sense is good. Squeezed orange juice, fruit cocktails, scrambled eggs, toast, all delicious. The room was large, the cleaning was quite good, and the hot water was great. Bad point Because it is a small hotel, there are only staff who can't use English depending on the time zone, so it seems that there is a time when you can't use Spanish. Also, the staff were all kind, but there was a feeling that they were not reliable somewhere. I asked for a taxi reservation to the airport, but I was not handed over to the staff the next day. Also, I think it is a tradeoff with the good view, but access to the hotel is really hard. In advance, I had an email saying, "if you arrive at the airport, wait at the back of Teatro Jurez, Alonso Street," so I did everything I said, but I couldn't meet the hotel staff easily Although there are two people here, there is one staff who finally met, and only １ luggage can be carried. Also, when I returned, I was refused even if I asked for luggage.

Great cutomer support from beginning to end of the process. The team were really informed and went the extra mile at every stage.       Casa Lupita Hostel

      Great location right in the middle of Guanajuato. Very nice owners. The hostel is kept very clean. The bathrooms were probably the worst part of staying here. They are extremely small and cramped, they smell bad (due to the pipes and sewage situation in Guanajuato, I believe) and to counter that there's aggressive use of air fresheners, which then mingles with the bad smell. The showers are basically part of the bathroom, not very separate, so after someone showers the whole floor tends to be pretty wet. Also, the main dorm has no real separation with the bathroom so there's little privacy and you can feel some moisture in the room after people have been showering. There are small lockers to put a few things in but won't be enough to fit all your belongings for most travelers. The hostel was pretty empty when I was there, but there's not much common space for socializing if there had been many others.

      my experiences from these hotels has been positive so far. this one stands out because i think the owners dont pay attention to it. the bathroom had no warm water or adequate water flow. it was spacious yes but i also wanted to bathe. the breakfast area is in the center of the establishment and only has natural light from the top which is 7 ? stories high. so if you have and early morning the area is not adequately lit. also the breakfast bouffet is lacking in choice. very few things offered. the bed excellent as always. for me 2 were the worst elements: i tried to talk to receptionist over the phone and he didnt speak english well and i found a cockroach in the restroom at the reception area. i know this is a hotel for short stay but isnt the goal of every hotel to have people converging no matter what?

      The other reviews have said it mostly. Let me sum up. Location. Guanajuato has much of the city unaccessable by car/taxi. This hotel has parking, down it's back street on reservation. Some other hotels you might have to carry your bags some distance. As it was, I had to carry my bags a block at midnight, and then call to be let in. It is in the city center, on a park square, with most of the public buildings, monuments, etc. When you are walking a lot coming to a home base that is close is important. A hotel off the beatin path might be nice too. The Views. None of the reviews talked about the roof of the hotel. It has some nice views that are worth the stay alone. I asked for an upper floor room, thinking I might get one of those balconies by default. No dice, but sitting on the roof was plenty consolation for the two flights of stairs. Plus, it largely cut out the noise from the square. The hot tub was out of commission though. Convenience. This is a historic hotel. Small rooms, mexican tiled bathrooms, carved wood doors. If you decided to come to Guanajuato, why would you stay in a Hilton? The hotel has a hodge podge design, of convoluted stairs and additions, that resemble the towns construction, built up over centuries. It has a beautiful old world lobby. The staff were on the spot, and helpful with old school butler efficiency, answering all questions.

      We adored this boutique hotel. Anyone writing a poor review here could not have been referring to this hotel! The location was great! It was walking distance to multiple restaurants, market, an art fair, the beautiful University of Guanajuato, Teatro Juarez, Diego Rivera museum, Plaza de San Fernando, Alley of the Kiss, Funicular Panoramico, etc. The hotel was unique and beautiful. The rooftop bar and infinity pool both had gorgeous views of the city and sunsets. Everything was spotless. The room was lovely and very comfortable. The restaurant was good and located in a lovely setting outside. The hotel staff bent over backwards to assist in any way. The only negative is that although there is an elevator, multiple stairs apparently could not be avoided, so those with trouble walking/climbing might not be able to get around. I can’t express how much we loved this hotel!

      The worst hotel in Mexico. Two reasons: 1. The hotel's standard room was booked two months in advance. As a result, the so-called double bed was found to be a large bed with a width of only 1.35 meters. Two adults slept, and it was difficult to turn over. The room is small and poor. After the negotiations with the front desk waiter, pay 2400 pesos (2 2 nights), changed 2 double rooms. The price is 704 yuan per room, which is equivalent to spending a suite price and living in a double room. 2. The taxi was delivered to Leon Airport the next morning through the hotel reception desk for the first day. The fee is 450 pesos. When the vehicle arrived at the hotel, shortly after the start, the driver said that the cost was 500 pesos. I said that when I booked the car yesterday, it was 450 pesos. The driver stopped talking, his face was filled with dissatisfaction, and he was silent all the way. I thought of the airport, gave 50 pesos, and made a whole. After arriving at the airport, the driver opened the trunk and then flashed to the side. I watched us unload the boxes one by one. I paid 450 pesos when I checked out. I praised the waitress at the front desk, answered all my questions enthusiastically, helped me with the boarding order, and helped me book the taxi for the next day.       The Mansión del Cantador Hotel is centrally located in Guanajuato, so all the attractions of the city and many restaurants are conveniently accessible by foot. Unfortunately, there are no parking places before the hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean and equipped with a TV. The bathroom also fulfils its purpose, although there is little water from the shower. Unfortunately the rooms are quite bright, so you can also hear noise from other rooms - with closed doors. The view is at least on the back side very modest. The fact that you have to close the room from outside is also quite complicated. Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel, but quality is very modest - once several people are online, it becomes quite slow and is flat from time to time. Breakfast is Mexican and not in buffet form - this is also included in the category "oke, But no longer". Conclude: For a long weekend or a few days all right!

      We liked the location of the hotel (walkable to the centro historico) and the decor was fine but there were so many service problems, it really took away from our stay. While checking in they asked us to provide specific times when we would leave the room so they could clean (covid protocol) - great. We told them 10am but when we returned to the room at 3:30pm in need to get changed and ready for a reservation we had that evening, it was still not cleaned. Forget the fact that we had "reserved" a 10am slot -- never have I stayed in a hotel where they were still cleaning rooms after 3pm (standard checkin time). Breakfast was also a mess. We had it included in our room rate and each of the 3 mornings we ate there, what was "included" changed based on the discretion of the waiter. Day 1 we were told we could order anything off the breakfast menu. Day 2, we were told no, lattes were not included and we could not choose a dish, we could only have eggs. Day 3, we were told to choose between two other random options. Given that this is a chain hotel, this was ridiculous - there should be no confusion about what is and isn't included in a room rate. Sheesh.

      Stayed one night at Don Lucas. The receptionist was ready for me as the hotel had texted asking what time I would arrive. The room was on the second floor – no elevator. I don’t know if all their rooms are like the one I had, but it would be more accurate to describe the room as an apartment than a hotel room. There was a good sized living room which also had a sink, microwave, and small fridge. A complementary bottle of wine waited for me on the table. The bedroom was equally spacious even with a king bed. The space had air conditioning. Although the room faced the street, it was quiet enough, especially when the head wooden doors closed the windows facing the street. The location is excellent, a few steps from the Plaza. There are many shops, restaurants, and winding streets within close walking distance. Breakfast was included and consisted of fruits, eggs, chips, bread, and beans

The location is good, the hotel door is facing the side door of the cathedral, beside the Peace Square, between the Notre Dame Cathedral and the University of Guanajuato, there are many attractions within walking distance. What's more valuable is that it is a street away from United Garden, where the nightlife is full of restaurants, and it is not noisy, except for the church bells, and there is no noise at night. The room is not big, the table is small, the facilities are complete, hot water is sufficient, WIFI is stable (this is a plus in Mexico). There is a rooftop on the top floor where you can see the night view. The waiters are very good, and the general English is not fluent. Please prepare translation software. One of the disadvantages is that there is no elevator, and the waiter should give tips to help carry luggage. Second, breakfast is not good. There is no hot dishes or meat for 145 pesos per person. It is recommended to eat out. There are many choices around. All things considered, it is highly recommended.

      The hotel is in a hillside alley. We booked the most expensive suite. On the top of the building, there are three large floor-to-ceiling windows, and the scenery is invincible. The room is very spacious, with a king size bed, and clean. When I went downstairs, I glanced at the other rooms. They were relatively small and some had no windows. It feels worthwhile to spend money on painting. The breakfast is a small shed with a view. If you order the breakfast from the menu, it is quite delicious. When making a reservation, be sure to book the most expensive VIP room for 4 people.

After the reservation I read comments about the service (bordering on regular and bad) especially for the lack of hot water and uncomfortable beds, still decided to check it out for myself (and my friends) and I was fascinated.
