0.96km from downtownGreat location, right in front of the Szechenyi Chain Bridge. On the right hand side is Castle Hill, and on the left hand side is Fisherman's Bastion. The room is too small. It is more difficult to open the two-person room at the same time. There is also a round shower curtain in the bathroom, which is beautiful and beautiful. But every time you shower, you will leak water from the ground. Other than that, the health is good. Check in someone to help with the luggage. There is a free coffee bar at the bar, and people update their coffee every day. Although the price is not high, it is worthwhile for this location.

0.73km from downtownBreakfast on the first floor, a variety of types, the location is very good for the chain bridge, the parking lot is charged underground, the service is good, often clean to provide services, the pool is not big but the water temperature is relatively high
1.08km from downtownThe hotel is not bad. It is located on a hillside, high and low, from the low end to the stairs to the entrance, and from the high end to the stairs to the entrance. The room is compact and the hygiene is average. The sheets can be replaced with your own. There is a kettle. Attitude. Mainly because of the convenient location, just below the Castle Hill, there is a cable car station on the side. Magas Church and Fisherman's Bastion are not far. Convenience!
0.49km from downtownThe bed is a double bed. It should be 1.8 beds. The three people can't sleep very well, but they can make it. The scenery is invincible. Sitting in the room, you can overlook all the sights on the other side of the river. It is right by the river and the night view is very beautiful. The closest to the Chain Bridge is right out of the hotel. After crossing the bridge, you will reach the Buda Palace. You can walk up or experience the cable car if you are physically fit. Just a few minutes left from the hotel is the Elizabeth Bridge, then the Liberty Bridge, and you will reach the Central Market. Walking out of the hotel to the rear is the business district, which is quite lively.

1.22km from downtownThe service is very intimate, the breakfast is good, and you will be asked to ask if you need eggs. After we finish eating, we still tell us, if you don't have enough, please tell us at any time.
Booked a river view room, you can see the sunrise on the Danube in bed, it is great.
0.49km from downtownWe stayed Monday 9th March for 4 nights,3 adults & this trip was for our sons 21st birthday,we loved the family room & the fact that he had his own separate bedroom therefore not needing to book a separate room. The hotel is modern funky & clean. The reception staff speak good English & will help you out with absolutely anything.Location is great however we did use Bolt(Hungarian Uber) to get to places, restaurants, shopping centre that were a good walk away but most places within walking distance. The breakfast staff didn’t speak as good English as the reception staff therefore we had difficulty asking for dairy free milk,& more bananas as there was only 1 morning when they had them, not a great choice of cereal, the sausage at breakfast were cheap hot dog sausage,& I would of liked a toast machine as that’s what i normally have for breakfast toast with butter. My son loved the little pancakes from the machine. We really missed not having a kettle in the room or coffee machine, when we arrived back at the hotel at the end of the day before going out for the evening it would of been nice to make a cup of tea or coffee in the room, the hot drinks machine in reception goes away at lunch time. This is my reason for the 4 stars instead of 5. Loved Budapest & will definitely return.Thank you for the card & the little bottle of bubbly on his birthday.Hotel tax was reasonable only 12 euros for our 4 night stay.

0.86km from downtownBecause I ’m not familiar with Google Maps, almost all the way down to people. The handsome local brother helped me carry my suitcase on the stone road, turned several streets and took me to the door of the hotel. Thanks to the warm and kind people in Budapest. In fact, I later found that there is a more convenient way from the airport bus to the hotel. I like the location of the hotel most. Take a quiet time out of the gate. Turn left and walk to the street crossing the road to cross the bridge. Turn right and not far is the important sight of Budapest, St. Ishte's Temple. There are also many restaurants and coffee shops near the hotel. Everyone is relaxing and eating, drinking and enjoying leisure time! The hotel has a turn-down service with two small chocolates and a capsule coffee machine. Nice place and time, maybe someday will run to relive!
1.29km from downtownVery recent hotel (2018), stylefully renovated convent. Small details are still breathing the abbey atmosphere while rooms have been designed in a very modern and practical way. Service is excellent, from the helpfull and knowledgeable reception attendant (we will always remember her "spring is knocking on the door" phrase) to the frolicly busy and immer smiling girls at the breakfast buffet. It is impossible to leave the building in a bad mood! Breakfast is very complete by the way, without being unnecessarily glorious, served in the bright and pleasant veranda in the inner court. Located on the quiet Buda side of the Danube, it is conveniently in walking distance from the center of the Pest side, close to bus, metro & tram (Batthyany ter) and at the foot of the hill climb to the old town and castle. I would not doubt for a moment to go back to the same place when visiting Budapest.

Hotels Near Preston Torta-Manufaktura In Budapest Review
We were a little disappointed with the apartment. We arrived in the dark, and unfortunatley the Manager due to meet us was delayed dealing with a another guest who'd arrived unexpectedly. This was partially our own fault as we were later than planned, but we had phoned ahead to explain. This meant we were waiting outside for about 20 mins, and were getting concerned we were in the right place. On his arrival the Manager was extremely helpful and explained everything well. Our apartment was small, as we expected, but well equiped, a large comfortable bed, well equiped kitchen and small shower room. However our apartement window looked out over a very scruffy courtyard, with bikes, bins, and builders rubbish left around, and we didn't get much daylight in the room. The rug, cushions and sofa were stained and could have looked much better if they'd been cleaned. There was black mould around the showere tray and sink in the bath room which is a little off-putting. There are a few steps, then a lift to the other floors. The location is excellent, a short walk to shops, restaurants, and tram stops, 2 minutes from Margaret Bridge, and 7 minutes walk to the railway station. It is a quiet residential area so peaceful at night. Value for money for sure.
The location is very good, on a pedestrian street opposite the supermarket, downstairs with a restaurant, pizzeria and beer hall. On the diagonal is Las Vegas **. If you take a taxi from the outside, you will find a shopping mall at the end of the pedestrian road. Among them are banks, money changers, supermarkets and Eve. Shoe store. My boss is Chinese and enthusiastic.
There is a bus stop at the main entrance of the hotel, a Chinese restaurant and a supermarket, and the Danube River on the back. When we are on the Danube, we often stay at the hotel. The walk behind the river at night is also very romantic. The hotel's cleaning service is very positive and it feels like When we went to breakfast, we went into the house and cleaned it. It felt that it was not very good because we didn’t pack everything and put it on the bedside and on the desk. Later, when I went to breakfast several times, I hanged on the door and did not disturb. Not going in, the third photo is the supermarket and restaurant bus stop at the hotel entrance. The location of the hotel is very convenient.
The location and breakfast are excellent. Room is clean and tiny. Due to its high popularity in that area, you may not be able to do check in before 3 PM. Arrange you
r time accordingly.
The location is very good, there is a Miller perfume cosmetics can buy and buy downstairs, next to the spar supermarket, opposite the M2 subway station, surrounding McDonald's, pizza shop is readily available. The facilities are almost three or four stars in the country. If the sheets are not changed every day, they will be laid for you. There are not many varieties of breakfast, but they are basically enough. The room is still quite large, we added a bed for 15 euros per day with breakfast, very cheap. The toilet is a bit high, not very friendly to Asians, and it doesn't feel like sitting on it!
Good location, right on the commercial street, convenient for shopping and eating
Not far from the subway station and the river, many attractions can be walked if you don't mind walking
Room was clean and well-equipped, the only minor regret was that the room was not large, but the location was great
Service is good, can help book a taxi to the airport
We have just got back from these apartments, they were good value for money. We had a superior studio, was quite basic but was cheap so you don’t expect anything too glamorous. Bed seemed a little hard at first but we got two full nights sleep so can’t complain. It was a good twenty minute walk to where the majority of bars and restaurants were but this didn’t bother us much because we were out all day exploring and taxis were so cheap so we just got one back at night time when we’d had a few drinks. The service from the girls at reception was just fantastic. They were so friendly and couldn’t do enough to help you. My only criticism about these apartments would be that we didn’t find it very clear on how to check in. There was a sign on the door saying you had to go somewhere else and we ended up going round in circles and then it turned out you had to check in at the first place we’d been to. Also, it wasn’t clear where to scan the fob to get back into the building so we ended up being stood outside a while trying to work it out. Luckily some other people staying at the apartment turned up and showed us how otherwise I don’t think we’d have got back in. Overall I would recommend these apartments for someone looking for a cheap and cheerful base in Budapest.
Pros: Definitely a great location. Dog-friendly! The woman who checked us in and wore many hats was super friendly and accommodating. The breakfast staff was smiling and cheerful the entire time, despite being quite busy. The rooftop view (which included a night-view of tons of bats flying around the Budapest Parliament building from the roof. It was awesome!) A great outdoor seating area in front of the lobby with comfortable seating The fitness center was cleaned regularly. Nice breakfast. Refrigerator in-room for personal use Self-service laundry facilities on-site Parking Garage with easy access from the hotel elevator Trash cans available out front. Dog-poop bags would be a nice touch to go with them. Large, spacious standard room Cons: Slow elevators The lawn was unkept on the rooftop. Access to the rooftop was not provided to us until we asked for it. A tray of food sat outside of our door for 2 nights (we eventually checked out) without being removed. It seems no one walked the floors to ensure tidiness. Public area carpets are filthy The patio on the front entrance area/lobby needs to be power washed No cups in the fitness center for water Lint/filth in the elevator crevices Front desk did not always have someone behind it to help (they also had to wear many hats and assist with other departments like F&B) No view from our room If housekeeping is going to use the computers at the front desk, they should be able to acknowledge guests waiting in line, too, to let the guest know that the FD Agent will be with them in a moment. FD Agent upon check-out made it sound difficult to pay with both Forint and Credit Card...which it shouldn't be...and if it is, it should not affect the guest. I believe that a lot of the cons listed will be resolved once staffing levels are back to normal once covid is *hopefully* over. At least, I hope so! I cannot wait to visit again - we had a great time!
Stayed 4 nights at the end of January 2020 as a couple in the Joy location and Diamond apartment. Highly recommend this property for so many reasons! Firstly, the excellent location - within walking distance to the Jewish Quarter, minutes from a major transport hub, supermarket round the corner and a bunch of great restaurants and bars not far by foot. Also very handy if you are attending a performance at the Erkel Theatre (the Opera House was closed for renovation at time of visiting) which is literally a 2 minute walk around the corner. Secondly, the apartment is really well equipped and super cute! The kitchen is capable of preparing full meals if needed, and the living area is spacious despite having a sofa and dining table and chairs in it. The bathroom is well designed with a powerful shower and good lighting at the mirror. The stairs leading to the mezzanine bedroom are steeper than we're used to, so be aware if you have mobility problems. The bedroom area is compact but efficient - we literally slept and ate breakfast, then headed out to explore for the day before returning after dinner. Oh - did I mention the full size pinball machine each apartment has, or the range of musical instruments on offer in the apartment?! Thirdly, the customer service we experienced was exemplary - from the moment we met the member of staff to show us to the apartment and around it, to checking out at the office, where they kindly stored our luggage for us and arranged a taxi to the airport later in the day. The company owner popped in while we were checking out and the first question he asked us was if we'd had a good stay and what could he do to improve our experience! This is a company that clearly puts the needs of its customers first and always strives to exceed expectations. In summary, the apartment we stayed in gave us a little taste of everyday life in Budapest, was really well appointed and equipped, and its location enabled us to get around the city easily. We always felt safe and secure in the apartment and the local area. If you're after a comfortable stay in Budapest that is quirky and gives you a glimpse of how locals live, book this accommodation - you won't be disappointed!
We stayed only one night in Vagabond's penthouse apartment. It all went well until the day after our stay when I received a two-sentence email claiming that we left the bedroom in an unacceptable condition so they charged me 40 EUR cleaning fee. No photos attached, no cleaning invoice, just a made-up instant charge based on their belief that their false accusation is appropriate. The host was adamant that it was us and after a request for clarification they sent us some pictures. However, the picture details were deleted so there was no chance to check when were they taken. In the end, the host corrected that it was not us, but the guest staying after us. Personally, I am not convinced about the "following guests' story", smells more like a scam. It took 5 emails and two calls with the host and booking.com in a span of three days to achieve a single sentence apology and the confirmation about the refund. The received refund was less than the original charge due to currency change but who cares. The apartment itself is OK aside from missing microwave, terrace furniture and towel hangers, however, everyone should decide for oneself, whether, it is worth to grant bank account access to such unprofessional and ignorant bunch. My time and nerves wasted for this single day booking definitely were not worth it.
Very clean and pretty spacious, lots of motifs that make you smile and well decorated. Shower room fab and everything you need in the kitchen. Plus every room has a pinball machine, ours also had a keyboard and a guitar :) Great location, underground and taxi 5 mins walk. Staff were super freindly and helpful. Nice big comfy bed, very quiet so slept like a baby
Stayed here for 5 nights at the end of January. Hotel was very easy to find almost opposite Semmelweis Klinikak Metro station though I arrived at the weekend so on the M3 replacement bus service. Checking in was fast though the tourist tax appears to be based on the room rate the supplier pays to hotel not what you pay to the supplier as it was considerably more than the 4% I was expecting to pay. I had emailed in advance and asked for a room on a high floor and ended up with a suite on the top floor with access to rooftop terrace and fantastic views over to the city and Gellert hill. Was only staying on a room only basis but having the fridge, kettle and microwave was great to make breakfast and snacks. There is a LIdl about 5 minutes walk away to stock up on supplies. Plentiful toiletries and towels in the bathroom though at times there was a bit of a drain smell which other travellers have commented on. Large double bed was also very comfy and always had a great nights sleep. Room was cleaned every day and a couple of times a fresh bottle of water was also supplied.
After reading some negative reviews I was concerned I had made a mistake, but I was pleasantly surprised. The location in the Jewish Quarter is great. Near the Newyork Cafe (a must visit) and close to some great eateries. I recommend Lado. I’ll outline some good points and bad. Good: comfortable beds, clean sheets and bathroom, cute balcony overlooking the quirky terrace. I liked that. I asked for an inside room and not a street one - very good choice ! The reception staff were so helpful, pleasant and informative. We had a late flight departure and we were allowed to leave our bags in a secure area. Rooms were pleasant. Shower was hot and powerful. Bad points: Our room was a bit dark and dingy but we were only there to sleep. Tv didn’t work. No shampoo provided. Coffee machine but you’re only given a couple of free cheap coffee sachets. No tea. If you like tea, maybe bring your own ! There is a fridge but you have to pay for anything you consume. The carpet looked a little dirty by the skirting. Only one small towel each. I like two as I Like one for my hair too. Breakfast and coffee was cold ‘sometimes’. Not an awful breakfast as there was quite a lot of choice. Fuel for the day. Not as bad as some have made out on the other reviews. I may have listed a few bad points but the good outweigh them really. It’s a good price and a decent bed for a short stay In a great location ! I would stay here again. Point to note. The entrance is a bit weird. Strange door entrance. Sometimes a bouncer is there, oddly! But it’s next to Burger King and a Metro as a landmark. You must pay in cash. Hungarian currency is much better as it works out cheaper.
Hotel breakfast is very good, adult 16 euros, half price for children. The only bad thing is the two bedrooms, with two shower rooms, but there is only one toilet. If there are many people in the family, they will always have to wait for the toilet. Everything is fine except for this. The parking lot is also very convenient. From the garage you can take the elevator directly to the room floor.
The location is very central, three stops from the train station, and it takes 10 minutes to get there. From the Iron Bridge Ferris Wheel's various net review foie gras restaurants are very close. Closed after 11 pm, you need a room card to enter the hotel. In addition, the ten girls' room is very good. They are in the two separate rooms on the edge of the hall, all of which are girls. There are men and women in the public bathroom rooms upstairs. And the ten-person room is not cute, it is not a steel bed, it will not affect both sides, and there are cabinets. But the lock must be brought on its own.
We stayed for 4 nights, booked through a BA holiday deal and had a great time, would definitely come back here again. The staff were helpful and friendly. The place was also very clean, which was very important to me. The breakfast is great, and I'd recommend adding it, as I couldn't find good breakfast spots in Budapest on days when we went out super early. The rooms aren't huge, but they didn't feel cramped. We didn't feel like we were tripping over each other. I liked the buildings unique design and was thoroughly impressed how light the rooms were, and also the strength of the black out curtains when we wanted an early night Would definitely stay again Also if your looking for other Budapest recommendations we suggest Baths, the funciular, zoo cafe and Zing Burger
Hotel location is very good, very clean. The staff are very friendly and patient, especially a handsome guy with glasses. It is very gentle, polite and patient. When you ask for directions, you will also tell me in detail, and even take out the detailed labeling of the map, especially good, great! Every day, I ask the front desk to open the water. They always smile and offer, thank you very much! Very good stay experience, highly recommended!
I loooved this room. It's how a room would look if I decorated it. Very chic, clean lines, lots of mirrors and a closet with a decent amount of space. The price was very reasonable. There were great restaurants and cafes within walking distance. The staff was very nice and super helpful. The location was ok for the price. The train/tube was less than a half a block away. The bus and tram to city center were at the end of the block. However, most tourist attractions were about a 15-20 minute bus ride away. Not terrible by any means but if you like to be in a more tourist friendly area- this isn't it. Also, the hotel occupies a floor in a commercial building. So the hotel doesn't control the common areas. At night, there are no lights in the hallway/ common area of the building. It's actually pretty creepy trying to make your way in the dark from the main level to the level the hotel is actually located on. I complained about it to the front desk but nothing changed as I am not sure they have the power to change this. Outside of that, I loved the hotel and would recommend it to those who are a bit more adventurous and are ok living outside of the tourist trap.
Convenient transportation and clean environment
The koala brand in European Youth Hostels is doing well. Koalas who have lived in several cities have basically large and clean rooms, each with its own bathroom and complete facilities. The atmosphere of the hostel’s own small bar is also very good, making it easy to make friends. The safety factor is also very good. The location of Budapest is right in the center of the city center. It is worth ordering.
My wife and I have just returned from Budapest and had a great time. Our son booked us into the Boutique Residence Budapest (Hotel) Hotel in brackets as it's not like any hotel we've been to before. As you approach the building our hearts were in our mouths as the place looked nothing like the pictures. Although it's a stone's throw from the Basilica the building is inauspicious to say the least. The entrance is sad and tired with a lift from the 50s. However as soon as the door is opened its like a different world. The welcome was warm and genuine, and the interior is modern and immaculately clean. The room (109)was a lovely size also very modern and immaculately clean. The bathroom was lovely and ultra modern, with good quality fittings. Basically everything you would need was there. Breakfast is the anomaly, the Continental breakfast is allocated to the room. It comes in cute baskets with your name and room number. It typically consists of 3 assorted bread rolls and a croissant each, with a butter, pot of pâté, three cherry tomatoes,a bottle of juice and a jam. More than adequate but odd. If you're looking for a great coffee and good selection of pastries cafe Artisan is a right turn out of the building and straight across the junction and on the right. The location is fantastic close enough to get around but not noisy. Public transport is fantastic, local and with the help from Google with the names, very easy to navigate. A great find, we would definitely stay here again.
I travel often to Budapest and always look for an accomodation that is out of the ordinary: the Pest-Buda perfectly fits in this category. The location is fantastic, near the Castle, and the building itself is extremely well renovated. The beds are amongst the best I‘ve ever slept in -that‘s something coming from an extensive traveller! The service was flawless: the manager went out of his way to help me even though it was Christmas. I warmly recommend this hotel to everybody looking for something special: I stayed in the Attic Suite and I‘ll surely come back! One thing that could be improved: the vathing towels could be a bit bigger and the vathroves were size „M“, so too small for me. The hotel might want to consider asking the guests which size they need: so much a better feeling to get out of the bathtub and slip on a comfortable bathrobe!
The shuttle bus from the airport to Garden House was about a 20 minute journey. Buzzed to get in and we felt welcomed and comfortable right from the start and to the end of our stay. The man on reception was helpful and informative. Then another man came in and like us, he was from England. He was outstanding with the amount of advice he gave us and places he recommended. He circled a few places on the map he gave us and that was useful. Dropped our bags off in the room (number 6) and we were away walking to the city centre. You can get to city centre areas in 10-12 minutes or so but to get to a riverside bridge maybe about half an hour. We discovered various eateries and bars on our way back and these were very good. McDonalds was also on the way and was useful for a quick snack. We did try local foods too! Some reviewers have said the area is a bit scruffy. Nah, it's not much different to many streets in the main centre and we have never felt safer in a major city than we did here no matter what time of day or night. Garden House - the staff - all friendly, polite and helpful Rooms - our room was good. The floor had a slight slant but it was fine. There is an angled wall in the bathroom and I banged my head on it EVERY day at least 2 or 3 times. We had a kettle and some coffee. The TV had lots of channels. I managed to track down an English speaking news channel. Yay! I also watched football and we all know we don't need any particular language for that. The shower was great! The room was pretty warm and that was good. garden - there is a small garden with a few seats and they are covered in case of rain. It was a very chilled out place to sit. Location - we tried many foods whilst in Hungary and because of this, we walked everywhere and did not use public transport so we could burn calories. So the location was perfect for us. It's not too far out anyway and we never had any problems finding our way back. The rooms were cleaned every day and we had new towels and the beds were made. We checked out on our last morning and we were allowed to keep our bags in the reception area so we went out and enjoyed our day. We were then permitted to use the garden area to sit in and wait for our shuttle and we could have coffee if we wanted it. The staff are so relaxed and friendly making it feel like a good temporary home. We had a great stay overall and we would totally recommend it.
If you are not a night owl or a person who sleeps easily, I would not recommend you to stay in this hotel. The first floor of the hostel is a nightclub. The hostel has a hollow design, which means that there is basically no wall between the room and the nightclub. Fried songs every night until four o'clock in the morning! ! If you need a peaceful environment, don't stay.
This is the best hotel I've stayed on when traveling in Eastern Europe.
As soon as I entered the hotel room, I felt very warm and comfortable.
There's free water and cola, both tomorrow. This is not available in many hotels.
The bath water is also very large and hot, and I personally like it.
Breakfast is western food, but a little more than other hotels.
The location is also a hotel I am very satisfied with.
Close to subway station, bus station, easy to go anywhere.
Fisherman's Bastion can be reached on foot from the hotel in less than ten minutes.

I am happy to write a nice review for the House Oktogon. I stayed here with my friends and we want to thank everyone at House Oktogon for such a pleasant stay. The place is very clean and fully equipped with anything you will need. We were given advice on where to eat and which places to visit. The location of House Oktogon is excellent and central to where everything is located. On our next visit we will stay there again. Thank you.
-Proximity to bars, restaurants, transport stops - The staff are accommodating and approachable specially Simon. -The cleanliness of the accommodation -They allowed us to leave our luggage even after checking out -They offer maps, guides to bars and parties Although the reception closes at 9pm, the receptionists are warm and accommodating and would entertain queries. We were even allowed to leave our luggage even after checking out whereas some hostels would charge you per hour.
The location is very good, just beside the cathedral. After taking the airport from the airport 100E to the city station for a few minutes, you don't need to take a taxi at the airport or book a private car. Of course, the hotel selling point is also the location, other aspects are more common, the shower design is not scientific, the water is very easy to spill on the bathroom floor when taking a bath. The hotel room is small, the breakfast is more ordinary, of course, it is acceptable at the price of the hotel.
The hotel is very clean and tidy, with convenient transportation and convenient access to the airport. Surroundings are red light districts and gambling alternative drug dispensing points, a little bit messy.
There is a large kitchen where you can cook your own meals. On the first day of arrival, the hostel also held a wine tasting session to communicate with people from all over the world. It was not easy to find the hostel. There was no obvious sign on the street. I relied on the people nearby to help me find the intersection of the hostel and had to carry my luggage to the third floor.
