|0.16km from city centerLocated 100 metres from St Johns co-Catherdral and so just steps away from the very heart of everything Valletta has to offer (and there is so much!), this is one of the every best small hotels I have stayed at. We had 3 rooms for a family trip and all were impeccably clean and tidy with super comfy beds (although 2 did not have windows on the side of the room, they had enormous windows in the ceiling so never suffered for natural light). We were on a B&B tariff and breakfast was excellent - a good choice and healthy portions to set you up for the day. The service was fabulous: whilst everyone really couldn't do enough for us, a special mention for Sunny who was polite and efficient well beyond what was necessary. We'll be back!

The staff is 5 star, very kind professionals. The view from the roof top terrace is exceptional, the best view in Valletta. The terrace is incredible.
Unfortunately the room is not reaching my expectations. It’s just very noisy. Every single foot step from above can be heard in your room. So at night and in the morning I felt very disturbed and uncomfortable because of this. I had to call reception several times to ask the above guest to keep it quiet at night. The room is very dark and just not for my taste. The bed was ok I asked a double bed but they supplied my with 2 single mattresses put together.

The 3 reception staff was incredibly kind, helpful and made us feel at home. The breakfast team was perfect to start the day with and the restaurant waiters made the evenings very pleasant (to the Argentinian waiter, the recommended oil and sfogliata were wonderful - I couldn't wait the evening, and thank you for the jazz recommendation which I hope we can try next time!). And most importantly, thank you to the incredible room service team who made wonders everyday in a record time.

|0.28km from city centerCharming Hotel, good location in a quiet part of Valletta. Service was good, easy to get hold of the Staff through email. Easy check-in, allthough it was self-check-in it was well explained step-by-step in a welcoming email. The room was large, ok AC, nice products in the rather dark bathroom, good bed, too hard pillows for our taste but ok, shabby balcony and the cleaning was not the best we’ve seen. Housekeeping was not very eager to come, so we had a couple of days without fresh towels, cleaning or toilet paper… the latter a bit importent to have, I think! Breakfast was very simple: Toast, rolls, ham, cheese, jam and croissants. Tea and coffee, ester and orangejuice. Thats it. Ok, but we baught breakfast somewhere else one of the days - we did not think it was worth getting up early for (ended 0930). All in all a ok place to stay, but at the price I had a bit higher expectations - at least about cleaning.

Spotless, elegant & highly friendly and warm hearted staff from the GM Mr Debono, to FO Manager Elisa and each and every staff member that happily accommodate us. They all made sure that our stay would be a remarkable one and they succeeded 1000% I can't not mention the amazing iconic warm roof top pool the temperature was heavenly and the city is spectacular! |0.21km from city centerDont let the title fool you, I had an amazing time at SU29 and the hotel has wonderful staff, great location and great amenities; However one does have to wonder why the hotel has to continually bind itself to the 'boutique' hotel idea when a few simple adjustments could make it a much better experience for the guests. The open plan bathroom looks cool in the photos but imagine sleeping in the same room after taking a stinking dump? The rooms are beautifully decorated but lack any sort of storage space (no drawers, closets or hollowed spaces). Similarly, the table is chock full of items/amenities but that doesnt leave any space to open a laptop or even place a plate. Final short gripe is the lack of any sort of view in the junior studio. But as i said, in the end, my stay was actually defined by the always smiling, always helpful receptionists for whom none of my crazy asks or questions were too much! The breakfast was wonderful for a European city centre hotel with assortment of cakes, pancakes and fruits and was continuously stocked. The location was amazing as well but since the hotel is accessed through an inclined road with steps, it might be difficult to reach for some. The room had all the amenities you could ask for (kudos for the great coffee, AC and smart TV) and the wifi was flawless and quick! The hotel can easily hand out 5star experiences if only it decides to choose utility over aesthetics ...

Smiles from all the team whatever their role. Beds are extremely comfortable and water replenished every day and an early evening knock asking if anything is needed. Staff are knowledgeable about the local area, events and restaurants. They are happy to make bookings on your behalf. Drinks on arrival and an escorted tour of the hotel. The underground spa which is booked for your private use is wonderful as is the rooftop pool and relaxing area. A wonderful 4 night stay. Will definitely recommend 😊

From the smiley face welcoming us when we first walked in to the home made turndown macarons to the breakfast (the chef even peeled the tomato skin!); everything impressed me. We stayed two nights in the Casa and it is my first time staying in the Valetta. The hotel focuses on service details!!
Superb location - 10 to 15 mins walk to the bus terminal/ upper and lower Barrakka garden/ the ferry pier with easy access to bars, restaurants, and shops. The building itself is historical and we love the design of the room. The big in-room safe provides extra secure.
But what I love the most is the team. Everyone at the reception and during breakfast service has been super amazing. Special thanks to Peter who performed the room orientation upon check-in, Matthew who assisted me with luggage and escorted me to the uber pick up point upon departure, the pretty lady Sladjana with a big smile and endless jokes that made my day, and Renniel who helped fix the issue of the basin stopper.
Highly recommend Casa Ellul to everyone. Dont miss the wonderful breakfast in the morning!

However, unlike many modern hotels, which tend to present themselves as alienating and uninviting, 19 Rooms has a warmth to it, and a coziness that makes you feel like home. I believe it comes down to the unique hospitality of the staff, who pride themselves on service and a sincere kindness that is rare. When I first arrived, Martina walked me through the city map, and even gave me an insider's guide to all the recommendations (food, drink, attractions), and that essentially planned my entire itinerary for me (ask her for her list!). Sylvia made sure that I was always well fed, and that I would leave with a hearty breakfast at the start of each day. Their hearts are big, and it made my stay a fulfilling one, and my first visit to Malta one to remember and long for.

If the system address is incorrectly located, we will navigate to the 12th. Actually, we will go down another 150 meters to reach the 76th, which is next to the church. Need the agent to send us a 4-digit reservation code, which is the door code, this must be confirmed with Ctrip in advance. The back of the hotel is a bustling pedestrian street. Going right and turning is a few passages that lead to the sea. A 50-meter left turn is a big supermarket.

|0.31km from city centerWe had booked a family break to Valletta in 2020 to celebrate my 70th birthday, but because of Covid we sadly had to cancel. In 2022, however, we were able to renew our plans. Barrakka suites looked good, so we booked and it turned out to be perfect. Fantastic location, close to the centre, excellent apartment, clean, well equipped and well organized. My contact with the owner Cliff went perfectly and he was able to resolve the small doubts that I had immediately. My wife and I would certainly be prepared to revisit this property on any future visit to Valletta.

Old but well mentained furniture, normal for a 16-th century building. Spacious rooms and as much heat if you need in January. Good breakfast, almost the same every day, everything fresh and tasty. Good team at the front-desk and also the cleaning people. However, some few important minuses that they can repair: not enough light in the room; low pressure of the water al the 4-th level, almost imposibile to have a shower; the windows not properly closing, especially in room 46, when the wind blows literally in the room. All can be easily fixed, I am sure! Very good prices for the position of the Hotel. I will return for sure! Thank you all, it has been a beautiful experience! See you!

It is within easy reach of all facilities such as museums, cultural sights, restaurants... As soon as you arrive, you will feel the true spirit of Malta's history and culture. The hotel is decorated in such a way as to maintain an autochthonous and sophisticated look. At the reception you will be greeted by warm and friendly staff and directed to your spacious and clean room. Regardless of the fact that it is in the center, you don't have to be afraid of noise... The windows are high-quality and new, so in combination with very comfortable beds, you will sleep like a baby. For the first time, we had an iron for clothes and an ironing board in the room, which was very helpful after an overcrowded suitcase. They simply thought of everything, even the little things... During breakfast, you will find enough food for a healthy morning meal... Finally, I would like to mention the most important thing in the overall impression is the friendly staff. They made us feel at home and that is what is priceless. They are all wonderful, but Ema stole our heart with her uniqueness. So, thank you for this really great vacation! You deserve to be among the best!

Our room was lovely, very well presented and equipped with all you could want including in our case a sauna which I became a little bit addicted to. So far so five star boutique hotel. The real thing that set this hotel apart were the staff, they were unfailingly polite, helpful and very competent a great mix that is much harder to pull off than you might imagine. All were very approachable and keen to help, not just the front of house team but the housekeepers as well. This was tested as on our last night my wife fell ill and we had to stay for one more day. The team were great, we stayed in the same room and were charged the same nightly rate as our original booking (made seven months before). I thoroughly recommend this hotel and its very well chosen staff to those wishing to visit the bustling capital of Malta.

|0.11km from city centerBeautiful hotel in Valletta. George welcomed us despite us being early off the ferry from Sicily. We were given maps and information about local restaurants and attractions. Breakfast explained along with details about the hotel spa. We were also offered a complimentary drink once we had settled and were by the pool on the 4 th floor deck annoying views of the city. Whole hotel has been sympathetically and carefully restored whilst keeping a modern look. The inside courtyard is a stunning space to enjoy breakfast or just sit. Breakfast was amazing- meats, cheeses, really good fresh bread and a huge selection of homemade cakes and pastries. Spa relaxing. All staff lovely and helpful even when we locked ourselves out of our room! Will absolutely return to enjoy again as so relaxing.

Really nicely done and spotlessly clean public areas. The staff were super friendly and service was always quick. Our room was a superior double with a balcony and hot tub. Really nice however just a little small for a 5 night stay but we didn’t spend too much time in the room to be fair. Nice coffee machine and amenities. Roof top area was amazing - great pool and plenty of loungers with shade. A nice selection of available too. Great views from here too. Breakfast was nice - buffet and hot options. Again efficient and friendly service. The breakfast room is in the basement so felt a little gloomy at times. All in all a great start in Valletta. I’d stay here again and recommend it!

Mi è piaciuta la disponibilità del personale che, tra le altre cose, ci ha offerto un upgrade gratuito della stanza a causa di un disguido in quella a noi originariamente assegnata (senza che lo avessimo richiesto). Servizio di deposito bagagli gratuito il giorno della partenza per poter girare in libertà anche dopo il check-out. Check-in anticipato così da poter portare in camera le nostre cose appena arrivati. L'unica cosa che non ho apprezzato a pieno è l'organizzazione della colazione. Di per sè il concept è bello, colazione tipica maltese servita sul tetto. Purtroppo, in assenza di chiusure, si dipende troppo dal meteo, infatti, i primi 2 giorni del nostro soggiorno, il meteo era uggioso e ventoso, quindi non ci siamo goduti a pieno né il cibo né la vista (abbiamo mangiato di fretta, cose tiepide o fredde). In secondo luogo lo spazio disponibile non è adeguato, a mio modo di vedere, per gestire un buffet. Suggerirei di togliere il buffet e richiedere agli ospiti di compilare ogni sera una lista di ciò che vogliono per il giorno dopo, indicando l'orario indicativo di arrivo a colazione in maniera tale che al proprio tavolo si trovi già tutto pronto e caldo senza bisogno di alzarsi ed intralciarsi con gli altri, creando imbarazzo. Ho visto applicare questa modalità con successo in un BestWestern 4* in Italia.

|0.21km from city centerThe hotel is ideally situated overlooking the harbour and close to restaurants etc. We booked a room with a balcony (606) and were extremely happy with the view of the harbour and the Three cities. The room itself was comfortable and had adequate storage for the four nights we spent here, there was an enclosed shower in the bathroom and plenty of hot water. The room was cleaned every day and fresh towels provided. Breakfast had an excellent choice, including bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, mushrooms & tomatoes, there was a choice of 2 cereals, cold meats, cheese, yoghurt, fresh fruit, 3 juices, bread rolls, pastries, jams and a toaster, so plenty of choice to set you up for the day. Also there was a very good coffee machine. All the staff were exceptionally friendly and would help you with any query. If you suffer from mobility issues, this may not be an ideal lication as there are steep steps up to the centre where all the shops/restaurants are. Overall, I found this to be a well presented and value for money hotel and it's worth paying extra for the views.

The building is a Maltese townhouse and retains it’s original character, it’s quite quirky. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty served by very welcoming staff. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We really can’t fault anything, the location is great, being steps from bars and restaurants. I would definitely highly recommend a stay here, and would love to stay again in the future.

Myself and my wife stayed for 4 nights last week and although it’s not a 24 hour reception the host was constantly on to me for the days leading up to our visit checking if we needed anything and sent videos for the location and how to enter the property on our arrival which happened to be after midnight. Also organised a car to collect us from the airport. Constant contact and making sure we didn’t want for anything. A five star service for our whole visit. Location is perfect. A stones throw from the cathedral and central to all amenities and tourist attractions. Plenty of restaurants and bars close by.

|0.31km from city centerThis is very well located, they had a little closet to keep our bags until we checked in at 1500 and then we where also avail to use it after we checked out while we got breakfast before heading to the airport. The apartment had a small potable AC that tried its best but the Malta heat can be a lot, when we asked for a fan they where very quick. They responded super fast to any questions we had and spoke the language. I didn’t catch the female workers name but she was super sweet and accommodating. She said she was from Colombia . Overall I would stay here again but it’s definitely a place to crash in between activities. Keep your expectations low and you’ll enjoy it.
