I stay here quite a bit for work. the rates are fair and it is a convenient location for the subway to downtown. the rooms are clean and the staff is courteous. there is a locked door to the building entry which your room key card will open. cable television, highspeed WIFI and in room refrigerator. washing machines and stove/kitchen area in lobby. I don't understand the bad reviews, I've stayed at Antonio several times off and on over an 8 month period and I've never had a problem. would definitely recommend staying here if you are on a budget. will be staying here every time Im in L.A.

The stay was awesome, met a lot of people and the manager said that in one of the rooms, there would be free sex. The best night of my life. I got aids but it was totally worth it. The showers had really sticky floors, don't know why, maybe lots of cum. Didn't taste that good.

Place is the only affordable place in Los Angeles during our stay. There is no interaction with the staff except for the (bullet proof) window where you get your key. I think they used paper as walls because you could overhear every conversation of the neighbours. The reason for the bulletproof glass is probably the Sketchy neighbourhood. The thing is that it makes no sense to stay south of downtown Los Angeles because the traffic will make sure that every highlight of the city is at least 40 minutes drive. Would recommend travellers to stay west of the city for example Calabases because the travel time to Hollywood or Santa Monica is the same and you get a better accommodation for lesser money.

Having stayed mostly in Hollywood & DTLA on previous trips, this time I opted for the Arts District & the American Hotel. And it turned out to be a pretty great find. Located on a fairly chill block at the northern end of LA's so-called Arts District, the American Hotel is a low-rise walk-up above a pie shop & convenience store, and down the street from a couple of craft breweries. The Metro Gold line to Pasadena is six blocks away, and the Red line to Hollywood is about 11 blocks west. Overall, the neighbourhood has a neat, non-tourist vibe which I appreciated, with decent opportunity to explore on foot. As has been noted in other reviews, the hotel/neighbourhood are within close proximity to the north-east corner of LA's skid row tent cities & social services. I have to imagine that unless you're out seeking trouble, it's unlikely you'll encounter any, as was my experience. After-hours noise on the block through the early part of the week was never an issue for me, although I did have the A/C running at that time. The room itself is rather plain, as expected, but the mattress was firm-enough and the bed comfortable overall. The bathroom situation was actually quite good, and I never experienced a line-up or cleaning issue. One suggestion for management would be to include a robe & slippers to go to & from the bathrooms, because it's a bit of a challenge to walk down the hall, soap/shampoo/etc in-hand, while keeping your flimsy towel on! An easy/cheap fix that would go a long way to making the experience better. In terms of price, and with the way DTLA hotels & AirBnBs have increased over the years, I hope the American Hotel remains an option for me, because I would likely return.

This is the first co living spaces I have ever stayed at and I am honestly impressed on the style and the way the environment is built. It felt good to chill out in the upstairs dining room that was full of decor, a comfortable couch, and has a very new york loft kinda feel to it. The instagram follow for a towel was pretty cool. The showers and bathrooms were clean, Hector was real nice while giving me a tour and plays excellent pop music throughout the day (: The tv room was always the best area to be in because it has a living room feel to it and the hammock, and light decor was really cute ! Definitely PodShare is the way to go if you want to save money on expensive hotel stays or motel stays if you're not gonna be there all day anyway because there's lots to do in LA.

We chose this motel because a friend was having out patient surgery at USC. This was very convenient and in fact, across the street from the ER entrance. I was pleasantly surprised at the reasonable rate for the area. Free covered par was a big plus. Walking distance from several decent restaurants. The room was clean and quiet except for a little street noise. The heat/ air conditioning was working well and provides white noise if you need it. The staff was available and polite. There is no lobby only a check in window. The water was hot and soap, shampoo etc was provided. Small fridge and microwave. You have to make a short walk to Starbucks for coffee. I was glad I keep an extra blanket in my car as the linens are a bit skimpy. Over all not bad at all.

I chose this Motel because it had better reviews than all the others in the area, and wasn't disappointed. I was in LA for Kings and Rams games, and this Motel was perfect. Memorial Coliseum and Staples Centre were close by. The room amenities are basic (no tea/coffee or cutlery etc) but you do get a fridge. The room and bathroom was clean and the bed was decent. TV was also good but you do have to flick through the channels to find the ones that work. The towels weren't too large, which didn't bother me but you may want to bring your own if you prefer. The neighbourhood is a little ropey. I got the full ghetto soundtrack of helicopters, sirens, barking dogs and gunshots in the early hours. This didn't really bother me personally but might want to be taken into consideration for some folks.

If you want to stay near Little Tokyo this hotel is perfect. There is another hotel close by, the Doubletree but I only saw it from the street. The Miyako is a little bit of Japan right away. Check in was easy & fast. My king size bedroom was very large & suited my needs. The bathroom has a nice tub & a Japanese style toilet (Bidet). If you have been to Japan you know all about this toilet. Due to COVID issues most of the dinning venues at the hotel were closed, so no Japanese breakfast. The 1 restaurant open had limited seating outdoors but I did not use it. Little Tokyo is 2 blocks away & that area has so many small restaurants & wonderful shops. The area is not the greatest, but still safe to walk around at night. I walked from the hotel to the Amtrak station (Union Station) & it was about 15 minutes. I would recommend this hotel & look forward to returning when things are back to normal.

The hotel is located in the small Tokyo area of Los Angeles. There is a subway behind the street. Traffic and security are relatively good. Say the overall feeling: advantages: the surrounding environment is good, the security is good, there are supermarkets, subways nearby. About 20 minutes walk to Union Station. Tip: The hotel is a simple hotel, toilet, bathroom is shared. There is also a communal laundry room and a communal kitchen. I stayed in a one-person room, a small double bed in the room, a desk, and a closet. Insufficient point, knock on the blackboard, wall crack tips. This time I stayed in room 34, the room was next to the air-conditioning main unit in the next building, and the main unit was running at 24 o'clock and resonated with the chandelier in the house. I asked the uncle of the building, he said that it is the air-conditioning host of other homes, they have no way, and did not give room exchange. I went back to the room to sleep with earplugs for three days. Fortunately, I brought my earplugs. Finally, the hotel reception or management is an old Japanese person who can communicate in English or Japanese.

Amy Bloch, the Concierge, contacted us about 2 weeks before our arrival asking if there was anything she could do for us either setting up any tours, restaurant suggestions and reservations or anything we might need. After asking for suggestions on restaurants she did send me quite a selection of different types of restaurants along with things to do around Hollywood and Los Angeles. When my friend and I arrived Amy greeted us at the front desk, welcoming us to the Roosevelt Hotel. The entire staff from the front desk, the guys at the valet parking, housekeeping and room service were outstanding. They couldn't do enough for us. Everyone at the hotel, especially Amy made our stay simply fantastic. The Roosevelt Hotel is the only place we would stay in Hollywood.

Downtown Los Angeles
It's a big place like Los Angeles, and the room is so small, I feel drunk too. It is too small to open the luggage, which is inconvenient to open. I specifically explained that I want a quiet room. The garbage truck on the street started to pull garbage less than 5:00 in the morning. The staff talked. I thought the window was not closed. As a result, there was no window for you to open. It was just a piece of glass with light. Just come in. A small refrigerator, placed on a shelf, but not in a cabinet. There is nothing in the refrigerator, but it is plugged in, and the operation noise is noisy all night. It will collapse when you live one day. No one will help you. Carry luggage. No one asks if you need help. Is this still Los Angeles I know? The beds are ok, moderately hard and soft. The location is good. It is convenient to walk everywhere, and around breakfast. Walking on HIlls street towards 3rd street, everything is there. May not stay here next time, unless there is no choice.

My family has been using the Anza hotel for all of our trips to the Calabasas/LA area for the past 4 years or so, and we love it here. I hope we can continue to rely on the Anza for years to come. Beautiful rooms, superb location, and best of all they allow pets! The prices for rooms are very reasonable and they all have a nice "boutique feel" to them which adds something special. I want to add an extra note about my last stay here, which took place during the first days of the Covid-19 outbreak. I traveled alone without my husband and child to Calabasas/California because I needed to be with a gravely ill parent who soon passed away. Being able to stay in a comfortable hotel during this awful period was such a comfort to me, and I want to add that Ryan, who works at the Bistro restaurant and bar, was especially great to me during this time. Ryan prepared delicious meals for me, got to know me and my love for an evening glass of wine right away, and was a warm, friendly presence when I came home from the hospital at night (and in later days, came home to the hotel after days spent making final arrangements). Ryan and the team at the Anza who continued to work during the stressful days of Covid-19 "stay at home restrictions" were truly a blessing to me and I value, and am so grateful for, their work on the behalf of me and other guests who really needed a hotel stay for emergency reasons.

Los Angeles International Airport Area
Pros: the staff is really professional and accommodating, excellent customer service Close to the airport with a few Cons: shuttle comes every 30 minutes and I was told I had the wrong shuttle when I’m fact I did have the right one and I had to wait an hour to get picked up Not the nest neighborhood, hallway smells like weed, but don’t blame the hotel staff as there’s nothing they can do Suggestion: both your shuttles look the same but aren’t the same holiday inn/holiday inn express Make sure they’re clearly marked as I asked the driver “ is this lax holiday inn” and he told me no, the same driver came back an hour later and told me no again but I got on anyways and discovered I was right. Nobody wants to be stranded at the airport. Your check in staff was great thanks

My daughter and I planned a mother- daughter Pre-college trip to LA despite the Covid-19 concerns. After searching hotels and Airbnb’s for countless hours we chose this hotel and I’m SO GLAD we did. This hotel was SUPER CLEAN and modern! Rooms were clearly sanitized with seals in place on door and labeled. No carpeting in entire hotel and always saw people cleaning. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and professional. The outdoor space was so beautiful complete with weather proof couches and seating, lighting, fireplace and bar. I enjoyed drinking my morning tea out there. Convenient to everywhere we wanted to go: Venice Beach, Manhattan Beach, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Hollywood Hills, Malibu, etc. You will need to rent a car but hotel had convenient parking on premises. Breakfast was included in our room which was SO convenient! Grab-and-go ( because of COVID-19) plus menu items offered at low prices if desired. Located in a low key corporate park with Trip Advisor right around the corner! We were so glad we stayed here!
