Hotels Near Psari Seafood Grill In Paphos
3.72km from Kikko's BarHaving read some negative reviews i was a little dubious about booking this apartment but it ticked a lot of boxes so went ahead and this is where we stayed on a short break in Paphos. My overall impression was a good one and the apartment was very clean and comfortable. It was basic in cooking utensils but compared to home they always are and i was able to cook breakfast as we ate out for all other meals. There was a musty smell under the kitchen sink but this didn't effect our holiday. The staff were all friendly and nothing was to much trouble so i could not fault anything here. We were in apartment 20 which overlooked the pool and very handy for making drinks and enjoying them poolside. A local resident in the neighbourhood liked using his leaf blower early in the morning so we were woken up several times and believe me it was noisy. The pool was freezing and not once did i see it being cleaned. It was very slippery underfoot and the sides were also very slippery. If it was cleaned it was during our time away from the apartment during the day. The local attractions were a little drive away and i would recommend a car as a necessity. One night our neighbours chose to ignore the no noise policy late at night and we were kept away until 3am but that is just inconsiderate people and nothing to do with the complex but there was no one to complain to at that time and i would not call it an emergency situation to use the phone number on the reception door. Overall a very nice stay with excellent size accommodation. Friendly helpfull staff Good location Very reasonably priced
4.68km from Kikko's BarThere are many positives to staying at Helios Bay. I found the staff to be friendly and nothing was a bother. I asked advice on bus connections, where to eat, etc and found Irena and Elena on reception very knowledgeable. My apartment was always well cleaned and had lovely, soft towels. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable and had nice sheets. Great air conditioning, and it’s free of charge. Irons and ironing boards are available but not already in the apartments. Good hairdryer in the bedroom. There is a safe that is €8.50 to hire for the week. WIFI in the apartment was quoted as being €5 but they gave it to me complimentary. There is free WIFI in the reception area. I emailed Helios Bay directly and requested a top floor apartment with a balcony and sea view. This was indeed what I received. All my emails and questions were replied to very, very quickly by Nicos. I cannot fault the fantastic communication. A taxi was arranged for me and the driver was waiting for me on my arrival. This was €30 and took around 20 – 25 minutes. The view from my apartment was spectacular, looking over the pretty garden down to the sea. The sunsets were a little obscured from my balcony as the palm trees were in the way…but this didn’t really matter as I went down into the garden to watch them. And they are incredible! I took to running most evenings along the paths down to the beach, at the same time as the sun was setting. Nothing quite like it! And at the time I visited it was lovely and quiet. No fight for sunbeds! As other reviewers have mentioned, the number 615 bus stops right outside Helios Bay and costs only €1.50 a journey – whether it’s to Lidl supermarket (around 10 minutes away) or Paphos Harbour (around 20 minutes away). They run every 15 minutes, were comfortable and air conditioned. Other interesting bits I noticed: Cars drive on the left-hand side so hiring a car wouldn’t be nearly as traumatic for those who worry about “driving on the wrong side”. Plugs are as they are in UK, so three pins rather than the two pins you normally find in Europe. Almost all signage (including labels/signs in supermarkets) is in English as well as in Greek. The people I came across were so very friendly. Places I can recommend are Kasparis (almost opposite Helios Bay), Caravelle (same side of the road as Helios Bay, around a 5 – 6 minute walk), Phidias Tavern in Coral Bay (a little of the main strip but great menu, food and staff). One suggestion to Helios Bay would be to put some pictures on the walls of the living area in the apartments, and add some colourful scatter cushions to the sofas, along with nicer curtains. With only a little bit of work this could actually feel more 4* than 3*. It’s currently quite basic. Also, it would be helpful to leave some basics in the kitchen area such as washing up liquid and kitchen roll. All in all I wouldn’t hesitate to go back to Helios Bay, and can definitely recommend it to others.

8.28km from Kikko's BarWarning: I’m a self-confessed hotel snob (haha!) when it comes to hotels/holidays, so this is subjective to my view/preferences. I booked this hotel all-inclusive last minute to attend a wedding in late October (during COVID-19 pandemic) so there may have been a lot of things that had been taken away/changed due to this. Room 443, 4th Floor - I had a twin room which was comfortable, the beds are on the firm side but I had some decent sleep. It had a mini fridge with nothing inside, not even bottled water. You have to lock it to keep it closed, otherwise it will defrost & leak. There’s a wardrobe with built in mirrors, draws & 5 coat hangers. TV with limited English speaking channels (not that it mattered as I was out all the time). The safe didn’t work, or at least wasn’t easy to use & very old so I didn’t use it. I had a reasonable sized bathroom with a lovely rainfall shower (favourite part of the room!). Balcony facing the main road, the chairs are very old & need replacing (split wood on the arms). Overall, the room was clean & comfortable...nothing to rave about. The staff are friendly, especially the blonde haired lady who usually worked at the pool bar. And the head barman was very friendly too. Good selection of drinks, both local & premium branded, but limited cocktail selection. The pool area is ok, average sized. Sun loungers are plastic & dated, they could do with being replaced. There is a FANTASTIC little beach at the bottom of the hotel with beautifully clear water. There’s sun loungers there, but I don’t think they’re part of the hotel & you may have to pay for them. The location is good. There’s a Lidl opposite the hotel on the left & a short walk down to the right of the hotel, there’s restaurants & bars (be sure to check out O’Neils & a Greek restaurant called Dias Zeus). You can take a taxi to Paphos town for €8-€10 (you can book it at reception), but I would recommend a hire car if you plan to go out most of the time, you’d probably save more money & Cyprus roads are the same as the UK: right-hand drives & drive on the left side. The food...meh. I wouldn’t go all-inclusive here again as I mainly had breakfast & there are places that are close that do nicer food, but there isn’t that much to choose from (again, everything may have been limited due to COVID). I wouldn’t say this is a good hotel for kids/teens either unless you plan on going out places; the only thing I saw there was a small kids pool with a fountain/waterfall & a snooker table/table tennis in the lower floor. Whilst this hotel wasn’t amazing, I would more than likely stay here again just because the staff were really nice & the location was ok. Thanks for a nice stay :)

9.14km from Kikko's BarNever in my life have I been so unhappy with a service. I would not recommend for anyone to stay in this terrible Hotel. I had booked a room for me and a friend on hostelworld. When I arrived at the hotel we were not greeted which was fine first thing that came out of his mouth was passport ... no hello no nothing. So after we were given our key to our room. First of all the bathroom was a mess, the bed sheets looked dirty and did not look like they had been cleaned. 5 minutes from arriving we get a call from reception (from an old man called Tom) saying that we had a room booked for 1 person even though we had been given a two single bed room. As I was showing him my email that stated that I had room booked for two, he proceeded to shout at me in such a horrible manner stating that I was wrong and he was right even though I had showed him my confirmation email for the room. I asked to see a manager or someone else above because I didn’t not want to waste my breathe on such a vile man. He ended up calling someone whom I started to speak to over the phone. As I was speaking to the gentleman over the phone “Tom” started shouting at me calling me a liar bringing his face around the table shield with no mask about 5cm away from face and again proceeded to shout at me and call me a liar. At this point in time I got very angry and demanded a refund as I didn’t Not want to stay at such a horrible place that don’t even know how to treat a paying customer right. The gentleman over the phone said that he will come over, hung up the phone on me and 10 minutes later he came to the front lobby. He introduced him self to be the owner and ceo of the hotel and that he would not accept there to be any shouting and to speak calmly. Just as he was saying that he started to defend his staff and say that I was in the wrong and the it was all my fault and that my email is not correct and that their system is correct and so on. He then said that we shouldn’t be in the lobby without a mask even though his staff had no mask and on two occasions had come so close to me during our argument. I told the so called owner/ceo of the company to check the camera which was facing directly towards us and to check how aggressive and intimidating this Tom guy was which he then proceeded to tell me how that wasn’t important. I cannot even go on any longer about how horrible we were treated by Tom and the so called owner of this hotel! But everything from the beginning to the end of it was so intimidating and disgusting behaviour. If I could have given it a 0 star I would! But would not recommend anyone to stay here. It would be better for you to stay at a hostel or Airbnb. Do not even waste your money.

Hotels Near Psari Seafood Grill In Paphos Review
This is by far the best hotel i have had the pleasure of visiting - ever. I repeat...ever. I have reviewed well over 100 hotels on TA, and i cannot overstate the awesomeness of this property. The place is beautiful, immaculately clean and the rooms are at an unsurpassed standard of comfort. The attention to esthetic detail all over the hotel, public spaces and rooms are, simply put, a straight 10. We stayed in the cabana rooms (009 and 010) and they were truly a special experience. By far, the highest compliment i can give goes to the staff at the Amavi. All of them, without exception, were very courteous, always smiling and highly responsive and professional. I was upset by one reviewer who commented negatively about the staff, so i will say this again - I have never experienced such a high standard of service, from the bell-boys at the entrance, the reception, restaurants, guest services and housekeeping. Credit must be given to the hotel’s GM and to those responsible for the staff training and maintenance of such high standards. The food was better than outstanding. The dinner at Nocturne was one of the best cuisine experiences that i, together with my friends, have ever experienced. Thank you for this weekend experience. We will return - as often as possible - and it is a pleasure to know that you can access such a high-quality property, at a reasonable price.
This is not a luxury hotel and it isn't trying to be. Paphos is fully of things to do so you should be using it to sleep at night before heading out for the following days adventure. It is basic and the rooms are small but they are clean and fully air conditioned. The only negative is that the bathrooms are very small and sadly I am not. Though it wasn't comfortable showering it wasn't impossible either, just a little bit snug for my liking. The staff here are excellent every request we have made has been acted upon swiftly and with enthusiasm to cater to your needs. Breakfast is basic but very good. On offer are fruit juices, tea and coffee, cereals and yoghurt, a small amount of pastries, fruit preserves, toast, ham cheese and salami. You have the option to sit indoors or outside on the patio in the beautiful sunshine. The location is the standout feature of this hotel. It is right in the middle of everything. Bars and restaurants are everywhere the second you walk out of the door. The harbour is a couple of minutes away and is 10 minutes walk to the bus terminal. The bus service here is excellent but keep plenty of change to pay for the ride. Example 1.50 euros will take you on a 35 minute bus ride on the number (615) to Coral Bay, with excellent scenery along the route. The same bus will take you to the ring of the Kings too. Tip! sit on the left side of the bus for great views of the med. A taxi will cost you 17 euros for the same trip and will not be as enjoyable either. If you want somewhere to rest at night and start the day with breakfast, this is perfect. If you want a luxury holiday resort with all inclusive and spa etc. This is not for you.
We visited Cyprus on our honeymoon in 1988 and decided to visit Cyprus again this year for our 32nd anniversary..although we didnt stay at the Veronica hotel we wanted to visit this place for old times sake as we had very fond memories of this family owned hotel in 1988. It had changed a lot from the front and we went in for a drink, explaining to the reception desk why we had come. It's such a shame that the hotel has lost its warmth in greeting people - I suppose it's called progression!... we had a quick look around- bought back many lovely lovely memories!.. we rode around Cyprus on a little moped with any helmets in those days..and one morning in the moment of showing off my husband sped out of the hotel and we both fell off it..we limped back in and the hotel owner bought some iodine to our room to put on our little wounds..and then gave us free drinks in the evening..its those little things we will not forget.. we still remember the hotel as it was then and not now..memories are strong ...
This was a repeat visit to Princessa Vera Pathos Cyprus. We decided to return because of several reasons concerning the hotel itself -Great Service -Cleanliness -Condition of hotel and apartments The service here is excellent. Any problems are immediately looked at and solved to satisfaction of guests. Front desk are very polite, professional, welcoming and helpful. The whole complex is spotless. Apartments are cleaned daily; beds and towels changed regularly. The apartments are minimalist, but that makes them easy to keep clean. A small fridge and micro wave with broil function are provided along with cutlery and crockery ,a sink along with washing up supplies The breakfast provided is good and is European style with sliced meats, cheeses, cucumbers, tomatoes, olives, 2 kinds of eggs, bacon, roast tomatoes, porridge, etc. Lots of citrus and other fruits; dates, prunes, several kinds of yoghurts, dry cereals, many kinds of breads and pastries, juices, all kinds of milk, teas and coffees. Breakfast starts at 7 am. Not an English breakfast, but it is not in England! Dinner is available, but we did not eat there in evening. There is a small exercise room with a hot tub. The lobby area is large and comfortable. Books are available to borrow( donated by clients). The apartments are close to a new shopping centre. The shopping centre has a large grocery store, plus lots of small corner shops selling basic foods. There are many good restaurants in the area. Bus stops are close by. The hotel is handicapped friendly. You can easily walk to the harbour. If we were to return to Cyprus, we would certainly return to the Princessas Vera and would recommend it to anyone.
I feel really bad about only giving 4 stars, losing one for something that we take for granted back home. I'm sure it's not a problem in the warmer months when the solar heaters are working properly, but hot water was a slight issue. There is a tank on the roof that is heated by a solar system, which, as I say, is probably fine in the warmer months, but in the winter you predominantly rely on an immersion system, which seems to take for ever to heat the water. Then when you are trying to wash up or have a shave the water drains from the sink before you have finished, infuriating if you are trying to soak dishes or plates before washing them. Not sure if this was specific to our room, E 317, or a common problem with the sinks not sealing properly. Other than this, I cannot recommend this place highly enough, the South African lady on reception was wonderful, really helpful, our request for extra pillows was dealt with immediately and she gave us loads of information on local places. The apartments are bright, spacious, clean and comfortable with plenty of wardrobe space well equipped kitchen, washing machine, iron and ironing board. Just that slight petty hot water issue. Other than that, I would happily stay here again anytime.
We arrived here 7 th March with a very warm welcome from the manager which has never happened before in any of our holidays! I can believe the rubbish that some people write that we’re there in a March ! Honestly ! We had a fan time from start to finish, admittedly we had to come home 3 days early from our holiday due to Covid 19 but that’s was not the hotels fault, in fact they were on the ball supplying hand gel everywhere. All the staff from George our restaurant manager to hotel reception staff to bar staff, cleaners and of course animation staff could not have done enough for you. Everyone was so friendly a warm and great welcome every day. We were with our friends and we had a lovely pool view ground floor apartment, rooms were clean and bed was very comfortable and our cleaner always left us something to remind her by when she left our towels on our bed The restaurant was run with excellence and all the staff were efficient, the food was excellent and plentiful with loads of choice for everyone. Cold and hot food was available at the bar morning and afternoon and always plentiful. George our restaurant manager always gave everyone a warm welcome and we loved having a daily chat with him. The pool bar staff were friendly and service every where was first class. We have never been on holiday in March before and although slightly cooler we still managed a lovely tan, it was chilly in the evenings but you can expect that in March. Absolutely no complaints here. There was a little work going on but no disturbances at all. There just getting ready doing up the kids pool for summer. Would definitely go back, the four of us had a great time so thank you Mayfair Gardens for making our holiday most enjoyable. The cats were not a problem, they never went near the restaurant and would only go to you if you encouraged them. Thank you Christie Panayiotou , your staff are a credit to you. Ruth Blackwood from Morayshire Scotland.
