Wendake
|4.76km from city center
Stayed for a night as a quick getaway from the kids. The hotel site is easy to reach from downtown Quebec with and surrounded by nature and the old Wendake village. The rooms are well-appointed and several touches from the Huron-Wendat people are spread around the hotel and the rooms. The fireplace in the lobby gives off a warm vibe to the arrival. Overall all the staff was very friendly and the room (119) was very spacious, clean and quiet. We also had dinner at La Traite were we tried several local dishes with the Bison smoked steak being the highlight of the evening, along with several cocktails with a indigenous twist. We took advantage of the private tour of the museum and were amazed by the guide's knowledge and enthusiasm. We got to know so many things that aren't taught in history classes and also enjoyed the interactive canoe building exhibit. Highly recommended to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but mostly to surround yourself with the indigenous history.

The room is clean, on the high-speed side of the square, but the soundproofing does not have to worry, a little distance from the city center, if it is self-driving, you don't have to worry about it, parking is free. In addition to bread, cold milk, cereals, there is no other breakfast, the Chinese stomach is definitely not used to eating.

The hotel is in total deconstruction! The cadres are barely absent from the second floor! This is just a gap and layer of paintings of the past. Let's do the internet there is no connection from the start after I have been trying again but the signal is so weak that my teleconference call is at the dust, that it experiences unpleasant, The hotel is not very good, it is not very good. The doors do not sweep, so my two-year-old daughter can escape any time during the night and the furniture is all fixed to the walls so the only furniture I can put before the door are a few chairs she can move. However, I reserved for an adult and a child. To make this much worse, at 10PM, after I took my bath and I was installed with my two-year-old child the front desk calls me to tell me that he called a trailer because my car overshoots the white line in the parking. Therefore, a mother and her child must be left out of a hotel room that doesn't get to the bar, cross a completely decreased corridor face a front desk that has had the kindness to call a trailer at ten hours of the evening, 3 hours after their arrival. And that they move the car 10 cm before returning to the worst hotel around the world where the worm is held that all this is normal for a Tuesday, they go down the corridor that doesn't look at anything and they go into a The hotel is a hotel that doesn't get rid of it. At 10 a.m.! If you think I would recommend this hotel to anyone you're wrong. I'd like to sleep in my car, vertically. I'll probably have to sleep in a chair in any way to make sure my child can't escape. I would really give them only one star for the creativity they exercise to make their clients chi3. I'll never stay here a second time. I don't even want to stay here tonight. There is no point anyway because I can't lock the door. I hate! and I've never seen a hotel employee behave like that! Go anywhere else. Find a field, you'll be better served and sleep in peace. PS: this was written on my cellular package because there was no connection to the Internet in my room.

The arrival at the hotel started badly with a young receptionist full of germs she kept spreading in her tissue and around (as if we did not just get out of a pandemic that showed us how far any virus can travel) and she started laughing at me in French (assuming that I do not speak over 10 languages including French) saying that I want a room taken by another customer: how rude of her to assume that. The older manager thankfully intervened and the room we checked in via the app was given to us, explaining to the manager, however sick from the road I was, that we did not want something extraordinary: - the room had the lines of the newly built hotels we stayed in the USA and just like in the USA, this room proved to have poor insulation between rooms, slamming doors and the trepidation noises on the hallways to make stuff vibrate in the room. Thankfully everything stopped soon after 10pm and we had a good night sleep only disturbed by the construction next door the following morning, however quiet those people were trying to operate their machinery - parking at the back of the hotel is safe and thankfully Google satellite helped us immensely with travelling to and from Quebec City trying to avoid the major road works happening just about everywhere - the hotel is located near a major shopping area and a Walmart great with icecreams and drinks we always like having - breakfast at the hotel included warm items and it was varied although people kept taking multiple tables to sit and talk: I guess the lower floors were rather busy since we hardly heard any talk up our floor - the manager was kind in thinking of sending a warm up gift, although I wish the young female receptionist would receive further training and stopped assuming things she wanted to assume about customers who effectively pay her salary

The room is not too big, but the bed is very big, one double for three people, the bathroom is big enough; there is always hot water and coffee, there is drink in the morning; during the stay, it should be the Italian restaurant under the same company. Discount breakfast coupons, recommended to eat, add a tip, tax or something, a person more than ten Canadian dollars, the value; parking free, a few simple meals around; a few kilometers from the old city, but it is not far. Very satisfied.

I booked this hotel the night prior. I wasn’t expecting much since i never heard of this place, let alone was a last minute booking. But much to our surprise, it turns out memorable for our family. It was very “homey”, it reminds me of another hotel we booked from the past in Venice, its small but very central, it comes with breakfast and their tiny dining area is cute. The front desk is friendly and personable, its why we enjoyed boutique hotels in the first place. They have their own parking, make sure that after you made a reservation that you call them right away to save you a spot. They have a vending machine for wines and other provisions too. No problem coming back to this hotel next time again.

The hotel location was close to Old Quebec so it has high accessibility to these places of interest. However, it would not be recommended to those who do not have transportation available if carrying large luggage or have difficulty going uphill as the hotel is situated on a slope. Do note that as this is a virtual hotel, so there is no staff onsite but they are contactable via the phone number provided and are happy to assist you. We had a nice stay at hotel acadia for 4 days. We were visiting for a mother daughter getaway. I was a little worried because of some of the recent very negative reviews, I can see the reason for some of them but people need to manage their expectations when booking a hotel at a cheaper rate. I would say this is a budget hotel, this is reflected in the price and the hotel itself, although I can see they are starting some renovations. This hotel definitely has a lot of potential. I wish I could give 3.5 stars, but I thought 3 was too low, so I gave 4. Here are some pros and cons Pros -Very friendly reception staff -beds were super comfortable! -great location -we booked a superior room with 2 beds, this was a nice size and had a charming quebec feel with the fireplace and brick wall. -free breakfast every morning at sagamite when booking through their website. Food was really good. -water machine and cappuccino/espresso machine in lobby, with Keurig in room. No charge to use these. Cons -cleanliness: we did feel cleanliness was lacking. There was visible dust on the vanity shelving and the bathroom just didn't seem clean, black mold on the tiles. The bathroom was dated and could use an update. Made me question the cleanliness of everything else. -no housekeeping throughout our stay -no wifi or TV for the duration of our stay in the room, they said it was being fixed but it never was. -hot tub not working, and I don't think it has been for a while. It shouldn't be advertised! -when we checked in they told us that there was a drip in the bathtub that they ”couldn't get fixed before we checked in”. We looked at the tub and there is a visible mark from it dripping for a long period of time. Don't be dishonest with your guests. Overall it was a good stay, we paid $150 a night with breakfast included for a superior room and I am happy with the value we got. Anything more expensive I would have been dissapointed.

This place is really special. They have a gracious, energetic staff who provide attentive but unpretentious hospitality. Room was meticulously clean and the whole place is beautifully decorated. Location is great - it’s at the bottom of the big hill, in a relatively quiet part of the old town, however just a couple of blocks from the Petite Champlain (get up early to avoid crowds there - at 7am I took photos with no one in them and got a nice coffee). This was a splurge for me, but I won’t ever forget staying here.

This hotel had everything we needed. We didn't mind at all that breakfast was an individual box with a turkey croissant, yogurt, cookie, cheese, and fruit. In fact, we had something else for breakfast (a muffin, or something), and we took the ”breakfasts” with us. Every day we visited a different park and picnicked by a fountain or garden. It was lovely. Parking was plentiful and free (and we didn't have any trouble finding street parking in old town). The hotel was clean. Staff was welcoming. My daughter found the bed hard. Oh, well.

We had a great stay at the Super 8 for our Quebec City trip. Staff are bilingual and helpful. The room was bigger than I expected, super clean and we had a jacuzzi! Beds were very comfortable and shower had lots of hot water and good pressure. The room had a mini fridge, coffee maker and microwave. The pool was my kid’s favourite. The water slide was very fun for kids and adults alike. The hot tub was so relaxing and I was able to watch my kids play from the hot tub so that was nice. The only suggestion I would make is the breakfast was rather lacking. And the pool towels are very thin and small. We had a great time and would not hesitate to book again.

We spent three nights at this property last week and we are so glad we did. Our room was pristine and spacious--and quiet. We were on the second level (considered the first) and we couldn't hear any sounds from the street, hallway or neighboring rooms. We were early for check-in so we parked on a nearby street and had a great lunch at the restaurant that shares the entrance with the hotel, Bistro Hortus (not sure if they are related but convenient and delicious option if you need to eat during your stay). While eating lunch the restaurant texted to say our room was ready and we pulled up on the side small street and checked in and unloaded our bags. We were given a ticket for a parking garage that was diagonal to the hotel. It really couldn't have been easier. We were able to take the car out at our convenience--which we did to visit Montmorency Falls and Ile d'Orleans (loved both, easy drive). We enjoyed the common room---we filled our water jugs (they have them to borrow too), enjoyed complimentary espressos, played Scrabble and borrowed a book. It really was a nice spot if you needed to just sit after a long day of exploring the city by foot (or bike). The location was perfect for us. We would set out and purposely get lost--or we would head to a specific restaurant or historic site and they were all walkable. Although we didn't need help with restaurants the staff seemed really helpful with recommendations. And they were very friendly every time we interacted with them. If you like sushi, Masaru is a few doors down and I am still thinking about it. It was excellent and a nice break from the cuisine we were (really!) enjoying. We also had wonderful dinners at Chez Rioux & Pettigrew, Legende and Ophelia. All walkable. We would definitely stay here again. A real gem of a property in a welcoming and beautiful city.

Place looked like a small town motel where someone would do a drug deal. It wasn't cheap at all for what you got. The rooms was updated a bit. Bed was comfy but you can hear everything upstairs, next door and outside in room. The bath rooms was older type and had mildewy smell. Lucky it was for a few hr only as this was our stepping stone stay between Toronto and the Maritimes. So didn't want to spend too much. It's about 15 min in the middle of nowhere from old QC. This hotel is located just across the road from the Esplanade Park with several of the attractions in old Quebec City within walking distance. It also houses an Asian restaurant named “Apsara” which is immensely popular and is full of customers every evening. Dealing with this hotel even before we showed up had been quite satisfactory as we had to change our dates that were accommodated. We received the most needed help from this hotel when we were lost and couldn’t find our way to the hotel (when we were actually within 2/3 minutes’ walking distance from the hotel). I walked to the hotel while my wife was in the car a few hundred meters away, and a young employee of the hotel accompanied me to my car and led me to the parking spot that was arranged with another hotel quite close by. We had a long and tiring day and this gesture helped us tremendously. As requested, we were allotted a room upstairs overlooking Esplanade park. Nice room, bathroom, window and flowers ! Bed was comfortable and we slept peacefully. Breakfast was a little disappointing as it was very basic and consisted of bread, butter, jam, cereal, muffin, coffee etc. It would have been perfect if they included something hot – at least eggs, if not bacon and sausage. However, it was a welcoming experience spending a couple of nights here !

The hotel is quite close to the attractions. There are restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance. Did not go to breakfast, the Queen bed is very comfortable and the space is very large. The environment and layout are very comfortable, the staff understand English and French and are very welcoming. And the hotel rooms are relatively quiet.

The hotel is good, because it is a business trip, so I chose it near the place of business trip. It is said that it was built only in the summer of 19, and there is still a bit of smell inside. The one room with a king-size bed was ordered, about 1400/night including tax, which is too expensive. But the room is really big and comfortable. It is not easy to take a taxi nearby, suitable for car rental

This hotel is located in a very convenient location, near the walls of Old Quebec City, the reason why we chose it. We arrived on a Tuesday, late afternoon and were VERY frustrated that we waited in line for ONE HOUR to check in to the hotel. There were only five groups checking in, before us. There was one employee and a manager, the manager was training the employee. The manager refused to check people in herself, was curt, and kept telling clients not to approach the reception desk until called forward. The wait was unacceptable, made worse by the impolite manager. The room was clean but cold and sterile. The linoleum wood-look floors made sound echo and were not warm. The room had no couch, only 2 plastic-covered rocking chairs that would have been better placed in a retirement home. Meals and parking are not included in the standard rate, making it more expensive for a basic room, than what it seems. Booking online, the quote for 2 adults for 3 nights in a basic suite, was $711. With parking and a room hold, the charge was over $930 CAD for 3 nights.
