      This is a family Guest house, very good location, 5 minutes walk from the train station. The boss sent us an email the day before the arrival and asked about the time to arrive, and gave a link to buy tickets for the Uffizi Gallery and a map of their hotel. On the day of arrival, the owner's son, Alex, and his girlfriend, Maria, received the two main attractions and routes that were played in the area and marked on the map. They also recommended several restaurants for dinner. One of the Italian restaurants called La Grotta di Leo is just downstairs. According to Alex, they often eat in the past. The first time he and Maria took us past, it was really cheap, 2 people included The total price of meals and 1/2 liter white wine is 30-35 ohms. His soup, pizza, and pasta are very delicious. We spent almost 3 days in Florence at her house. The boss is very enthusiastic. One day we told ALex that we wanted to go to Pisa to see the leaning tower. Alex immediately printed the trains to Pisa and the map of Pisa and gave us the route. In short, as long as something is asked, you can get the answer immediately, and you must still live in his home next time.

      Our room was larger than any other we had in Italy, and the bathroom was enormous. Ours included a tub, which was a luxury. I never did find time to get a soak in it, but since we backpacked our way through our trip we were happy to have a larger place to wash laundry. The view out the window was nothing special, but off to the right I did spot a citrus tree. We did use the room safe to store our passports. It was easy to set and use. Our hosts were very helpful, marking up a map with interesting locations for dinner and sightseeing. We tried out a few suggestions, all get a thumbs up from us. Riblet rooms are up a floor from ground, which in US would be second floor, in Italy is the first floor. There is a security door with a number pad at the street. Riblet is located quite near the train station, and is about a 10 minute walk (15 minute stroll) from the open air market and a great building - World Fare style - for lunch.

      The hotel is not far from the train station. In fact, not only in Florence, but also in many cities in Italy, there are a large number of hotels next to the train station. And their train stations are in the city center, not far from the attractions. So it doesn't matter far. I went through the hotel in the process of looking for this store. It is said to have been converted from a monastery. It feels so. It is this feeling in the corridor, but there is no musty that the previous guests said.       The location is very good, very close to the railway station, churches, squares, museums, art galleries and bridges. I booked the cheapest room. It was very small. There was only a small window on the first floor, and the bathroom just turned around. It's a dark feeling, and the heating is centrally controlled. I don't know how to adjust it for the first night of my stay. The hotel breakfast only has cold cuts, but it is quite rich. The restaurant will cook dinner in the evening. There are many Michelin stickers of this restaurant in front of the hotel, but when you actually eat it, only the service may be able to keep up. The parking lot is cooperative, and people from the parking lot will drive the car away. If you want to use the car during your stay, you must contact the front desk 20 minutes in advance, and you have to pay extra for parking services, but there are not many opportunities to drive in downtown Florence.

      I think this hotel deserves a higher rating. The hotel is actually connected to the nearby Santa Maria novella (one of the oldest large monasteries in Florence). The location is not to be said, so every morning I hear the monastery ringing the bell, the window is also the roof of the monastery, thick medieval wind. The interior also uses very old furniture, the bathroom is spacious, there is a tub, hot water, and heating, but the old building has the common disadvantage of poor sound insulation. The layout in the hallway is between classical and modern, and local guides in Chinese can be found in the hallway. I have set up a single room, but it seems to give a double room with enough space. The double bed is made up of two single beds, and the gap is obvious. A little bit awkward. The sanitation is good, and there are slippers and toiletries. The electric kettle needs to be with the front desk. After a while, the waiter will bring the tea bag and the tea cup together. And all the staff are very friendly and thank you very much. Especially the waiter in the restaurant looked very happy every day:) Breakfast is not so rich. But as breakfast is absolutely enough, pie, croissant whole wheat bread, white bread, ham, yogurt, a lot, this price is not yet If you are satisfied, it is best to book a famous five-star hotel... It is very close to Santa Maria del Fiore and San Lorenzo. The third picture is whether the view of the toilet is cool!

      Our 3 night stay this hotel was excellent. The two owners Bijian and Ergin are excellent hosts and very friendly. We had room #5 room. The room had one large king size bed that my mom and I shared with no problems. The bathroom was all marble tiled and very modern and clean. The A/C worked very well in the room. Our room didn't have a view but the large floor to ceiling window faced into a small courtyard and the window opened so you can get fresh air. The location of the hotel is 5 – 10 minute walk from the Santa Maria Novella Train Station. We arrived by train and left by train so it was the perfect location for us. We were also in a 5 minute walking distance to the Santa Maria Novella church and square and also the hotel is only a 15 minute walk to the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore and 20 minute walk to the Accademia Gallery. The Pointe Vecchio is about a 20 - 30 minute walk. Everything actually is in easy walking distance from this hotel. If you are looking for a reasonable price hotel with breakfast included this is the place for you. This hotel is also directly across the street from the famous Santa Maria Novella Pharmacy. Breakfast is an array of fresh baked goods like croissants (best on our entire trip and we were in Rome, Vienna and Amsterdam), fresh tomatoes and mozzarella, various cold meats and cheese and other breads, scrambled eggs and surprise pastries. There is also cereal, juices and they make espressos and other coffees fresh per request. Also, we had dinner each night at the hotel for convenience based on another guest’s recommendation who was staying here as well. Bijian cooks dinner for guests who advised them in the morning that they would be there for dinner at the hotel. The cost for us is 20 Euro for 3 courses (starter, main and dessert) and then 10 Euro for wine or you can bring your own wine. I thought it was very reasonable. He makes everything fresh and dinner was usually at 7:00 p.m. I had the best tiramisu I have ever eaten on our last night that he had made earlier that day. He does take into consideration any dietary restrictions. I would definitely stay here again next time we are in Florence. Can't wait to go back.

      5 minutes from the airport to the final destination of Unita station. It is very nice to be able to walk to all the tourist attractions here. The single room was nice because it had a unique structure with a toilet on the lower floor in the attic. It is well cleaned, and breakfast is enough for one meal a day, such as bread, coffee, juice, yogurt, and simple fruits. However, the cleaning lady told me to pay an extra 4 euros per day in tax when checking in. I didn't put a tip in the room because I wanted to think of it as a tip. I was told to pay 8 euros because it was a two-day stay, so I gave it 10 euros, but it was hard to get 2 euros for change. I fought the next day and got it. Other than that, everything was good.

      Originally I wanted to give them 5 points. Seeing that the breakfast is worthwhile, let's give them some room for improvement. I was the first Chinese to live in this hotel, and the first to write a review, be objective. First of all, this hotel is a 1500-year-old monastery remodeled, which has a sense of history. It is next to the church and behind it is the bell tower. The receptionist is called Esmeralda, with the same name as the heroine of Notre Dame. The room size is large, better than the average hostel. 8 beds, bunk beds, 2 bathrooms. I think the facilities are better than other youth hostels. Very quiet, because it is a church, a monastery, it is very ghostly. There are two own courtyards. The river is just across from the main entrance, and it is very close to various attractions. The place to complain is breakfast, which is too bad. One bread, one coffee. Gone. I don't want to eat more. It actually costs 6 euros. It is recommended that you do not include breakfast when you book, and you can buy it yourself at the nearby supermarket. I think this hotel is worth living and experiencing. After all, it is an old house with a history of 1500 years, and it can be used as an internet celebrity check-in place.

      This fabulous hotel is situated at a charming square near the center of Florence. It is within walking distance of the train station and all the attractions in Florence. Also nearby is a grocery store and hardware store (which we needed desperately). The hotel has a nice lobby plus some beautiful public rooms where you can chat, read a book or just relax. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. Our handicap accessible room was so beautiful and spacious. Nice features were fast wifi, robes, slippers, heated towel bars and a convenient walk-in shower. The room was extremely quiet. The scrumptious breakfast buffet was in a beautiful room overlooking Santa Maria Novella and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly.  We would definitely stay here again!

      Getting to this hotel is super easy; it's about a 6 minute walk from the train station (Santa Maria Novella) and around 10 min walk to the Duomo or Ponte Vecchio. There were just two of us, but the room could have easily slept 4 or 5 people - there was a king-sized bed, a full-sized murphy bed, and a daybed; would work well for a family or group of young travelers. Lots of storage space; we were only there for two nights but this would be a great spot for an extended stay. The room is quite modern and uses a touchscreen panel for light and temperature control. The a/c was legit (which is not always common in Europe). The bathroom lighting was a little strange- very dark and there was a blue light in the shower. I had to do my makeup in the room itself to get enough light. There was also a strange smell (I want to say onions?), although I had noticed the same smell while walking about in Florence so I don't think that's the hotel's fault (perhaps it's some kind of cleaning product they use?). A standard continental breakfast was offered. There is a small elevator available but you do have to walk up 1 floor from reception to get to the elevator.

      My family of four came to stay here during our first trip to Italy and we had no idea what to expect. 7Florence B&B completely blew us away in every category! Location: Perfectly situated next to public transit (train station, light rail station, close to the bus station) and near restaurants and shopping. Staff: The most wonderful people you could ever meet! They went out of their way to recommend fantastic restaurants, sightseeing, and even booked some reservations for us. For breakfast (due to covid restrictions) they served us from their excellent assortment of fresh pastries, meat, bread, and other yummy treats. Room: Since there were four of us we stayed in the 2 bed apartment with a great view of the city area. Everything was super clean and the room included a refrigerator, microwave, stove, utensils, and more. Since we were nestled close to a busy area we were provided with earplugs (I'd recommend using them as there were various sirens throughout the night). Overall: When we come back to Florence in the future we will will be booking at 7Florence B&B again, and every time.

      We just got back from spending 5 nights at the Ottantotto Hotel in Florence and would recommend it. The hotel is in the Oltrarno area of Florence, across the river from the major sites, but only a 10-15 minute walk away. The area is much calmer and local but still buzzing with activity and with tons of great restaurants, artisan workshops, cafes and pretty squares. The hotel itself is a beautifully restored home with a total of 8 guest rooms and a small garden on the ground floor. We stayed in the basic room and were very comfortable despite its relatively small size. Details and design were well thought out and it was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was pretty good, though we both thought it was a bit strange they wanted to charge 3 Euros additional for a scrambled egg at a place like that. The system for after hours self-checkin was great and I wish more hotels would do it that way!

      We spent 2 nights here during our 1st time in Florence. The location was superb, very close to the train station and only a couple alleys away from the famouse Duomo. There were lots of stores and restaurants nearby, so it's always a busy area and convenient, you'll never feel alone. The room was clean and it also smelled really good. The bathroom was small but adequate. We stayed in the double room and it was good for 2 people. There was a sitting sea with a small desk and chair, and a cupboard with a tiny safe and hangers. We loved the blackout curtains. Breakfast was in a small dining room by the reception area. There were lots of sweets, cereals, some cold cuts, and sliced cheese. They also had 1 kind of cereal, some fresh fruits, and a coffee/espresso machine. We walked everywhere and only took a bus once to get to Michelangelo square because we didn't want to climb hehe. Will certainly recommend this hotel to those who travel with a certain budget and not fussy about hotel rooms. They have a small elevator so you dont have to lug your luggage up the stairs. The hotel shared the building with residential apartments, the building door is locked after a certain time and you use your hotel key to get in after hours.

      My wife and I enjoyed an excellent stay at the Hotel River for three nights in the Suite Luxury room category. This room type appears very spacious by Florence standards and the room cost was reasonable. The view from the balcony overlooking the Arno was stunning both day and night (for reference, it's far enough to the east that you cannot see the Ponte Vecchio). The hotel has a very modern design, with primarily white and black finishes and mirrors used extensively to make spaces feel bigger. The shower configuration in our room could have been improved, as each shower yielded significant water on the floor outside. There were some fairly strong incense sticks in the room when we arrived. My wife is sensitive to smells, so we put these outside. The location of the hotel was ideal for us, but may not be for all travelers. It's spot on the river provides great views, but walks to many of the major sites take a little time (generally 15-20 minutes - a great opportunity to explore the city). We did not have dinner at the hotel, but breakfast was good (fairly typical buffet). We had drinks at the charming courtyard bar each evening, which was surprisingly empty. While all staff provided great service, Matteo at the bar and breakfast was worth noting. He was professional and courteous, remembering our coffee orders at breakfast after only one day and providing nice detail on the wines we were drinking. We would definitely consider the Hotel River for our next trip to Florence.

      Visiting Florence is always a joy as the city is stunning in every way. If you want a calm base away from the crowds, this is the place for you. It is extremely well connected to the city centre but quiet at night for a good nights sleep.I went just before the travel restrictions eased so was a little apprehensive but Italy is very safe as they are still strict.. If you are coming from Peretola aeroport it's only about 4 stops so about 20 minutes by metro which saves time and energy. You can get into the Centro storico by metro or train from Rifredi, in about 20 mins. The checkin was well organised and polite. I speak italian which helps. They are business like and polite and will be helpful. This is not a tiny pensione so expect a less family feeling. The room was really confortable , large and warm for a solo traveller..it was not noisy. One only idiosyncracy is the lack of kettle but frankly who stays in their room in Florence? That was also not a problem as there is a vending machine near the gym and a bar. I was too busy to use the facilities this time. I enjoyed breakfast a lot. It was mainly scrambled eggs or boiled eggs with bacon for me. Italians do not like their food boiling but it was hot. There was a huge selection of lovely cakes, pastries and cereals with fruit and yoghourts. The staff were lovely and very helpful. Most people wore masks walking around as it was expected by law, I think. I get the impression that it is a hotel used by business people, families visiting Careggi Hospital or more independent travellers who are focussed on sightseeing. I did not see large coach parties during my week stay. The area is partly residential and partly industrial close to a huge Coop but I think it's perfect as a base to explore away from the centre. I will stay again so thank you to all staff for their kindness.

      Can only agree with what other reviewers have said: this is a small-ish, clean and comfortable hotel made special by the genuine focus on good customer service from all the staff. Special mention to Michele (forgive the spelling) who is one of those people who genuinely wants everyone to have a good time and enjoys helping them out even though he was obviously run off his feet a lot of the time. The distance wasn't a problem for us - it's a simple 10 minute walk straight along the road from Dante's statue next to Santa Croce. It is about as far again from the Duomo as SMN station is to it though, so too far with suitcases on cobbled roads in heat. The roof terrace views of the Florence skyline as the sun sets and picks out the towns in the hills around it were a definite plus, as was the hotel's relaxed views on the honesty bar or just taking your own up to sit and enjoy. The riverside location suited us too - if you're happy to mix with the locals and try out afew basic Italian phrases then this is a great spot for heading where they do for aperitivo. You can either head down in the riverside park (just a basic outdoor bar but very relaxed and friendly and full of locals catching up) or a 10 minute walk up the main road that goes past the hotel away from the river and turn right at the old gatehouse (now in the middle of a roundabout) where you'll find afew decent street bars & restaurants (and a large Coop round the corner). I would have given this 5 stars to reflect the hotel's comforts and great customer service ethos, but for two points: like most of Italy's hotels in converted historic buildings the rooms have been built into wherever they could be fit (it took a couple of days to work out the best route to breakfast through the maze), and on our first night we were put into a ground floor room which looked to be their disability-adapted room. It was just as clean and comfortable as the other rooms but we could see pedestrians' heads as they passed (there are shutters on the windows though). We were moved to the second floor for the rest of the week which was fine. The other thing I would recommend the hotel changes next time they refurbish is the breakfast room - it would be great as a wine bar with its all-white decor, quirky seating and big curved tables at various heights, but not so great for seating guests at breakfast. No doubt social distancing was a factor but I doubt it could accommodate everyone arriving for breakfast in normal times either (you could take a tray away), and even then you're sitting around a big table with other guests, and we could see afew groups who'd travelled together negotiating to be able to sit with each other. Not something that spoiled our stay at all, just something that would make the hotel even better if changed. All in all though a great base for a week and would happily return.

The regular room that was booked was a bit small. But it is clean and comfortable. It was postponed for a day and it was good to upgrade a room with a living room.       I give this lovely hotel full 5 stars. It waw well located just a few blocks from the duomo. The hotel was super cosy - one could really feel the past decades by all the old furnitures and decorations of the hotel. And the garden, even in december rain, a lovely oasis. The hotel staff was super helpful andd friendly. Our room was very quiet. Covid was well noted as there was hand sanitizers available around the hotel and breakfast was pre-ordered and served to your table. And what a delicious breakfast it was.       My wife and I just returned from 2 weeks in Italy. We had been to this glorious country many times before; yet, together we had never done a holiday in Florence and Venice. Holiday perspective changes as your life changes. We did our research and my wife has discovered GOOP as a very reliable source of interesting, value for money and interesting restaurants, hotels, sights to visit and shopping. Also they will direct the average Joe to “non tourist” locales. In researching Florence, we needed a place that we would be happy at for a full week. GOOP suggested Villa Cora. Of course, the photos looked stunning (sometimes they don’t do a place justice), but the reality is no photos could do this magnificent place justice. There are not enough superlatives to define Villa Cora. Our key to service and quality, boils down to the caliber of the staff and the happiness that they display at work. We make it a point to get to know the folks who wait on us. We find it so interesting to understand how the locals work, details about their families, careers, etc. this information is the key to better understanding the culture of the place you are visiting. The staff at Villa Cora seemed a bit extraordinary….they of course ticked all of the “service boxes” one would expect at a five star hotel. Most importantly, they spoke individually about their happiness getting up for work every day. They used the word “family” when describing co-workers and management. They had long tenure and none of them, when pushed, intended to leave the place. The property itself must be seen to be believed. We were there in late February during the pandemic, so it was a bit more than half full. Villa Cora is set about a mile out of Florence. Some might think of this as a negative, we thought it made it even more desirable. Florence is a sightseeing town. Each day we would spend hours in town, have lunch and return to our “home in the country” around 5. It was a unique break from “in-town” holiday venues. It has a large pool and restaurant outside as well as a second edifice which houses the spa and more rooms. Our room was decorated with old art, furniture, and original frescoes on the ceiling. There was a huge amount of storage. The bed, pillows and linens were superior. We ate twice in the dining room, as the food was great…we returned because, again: the people. Each night after dinner we would retire to the small and cozy subterranean bar…we hurried there after dinner, again to see our smiling wait staff. Arielle has created an incredible team of Human Resources. They are happy, loyal and help one another out with personal and professional issues. Leaders in other hospitality venues should study the staff at Villa Cora to understand how a very well led team performs. It is very tough to find any negatives about Villa Cora, except that at some point one must return to the realities of the real world and check out!

The beds were really comfy and the room was very spacious and had a large bathroom with a second sink area that was great for getting ready. They provided enough amenities for all 3 of us which we did not get in the other hotels we visited. There were bathrobes , slippers , plenty of towels and toiletries for each of us , there were also shower caps, and ear plugs, it was a Nice touch. They also did turn down service and left us chocolates. Breakfast was included in our room rate and it was awesome with fresh fruit, meat , cheese, eggs etc. There was plenty to choose from and it was a great way to start our busy day. The staff was attentive and very gracious. The location was perfect as it was close to the Duomo and everything you needed to get to in Florence. We were able to walk the city very easily. It was also very quiet considering it was in such a central location. Front desk, bartender and bell man were all great. We requested a taxi to the train station and it was there on time waiting for us. In addition , they have an atrium on the top floor that gives you a panoramic view of the city . We all loved it and would definitively stay again if back in Florence. Bravo!

      I recently stayed at Granduca for 2 nights. Location wise it isn't that far at all from the city centre, about a 7-minute cab. Rooms were clean, spacious and were perfect for my family. With a decent breakfast and very helpful and kind staff; I have nothing negative to say. My only possible complaint was that the Wi-Fi signal was a little weak from my room, and it did become a little frustrating at times. Overall, great trip and awesome value for money.

      Let me talk about the advantages of this hotel: the health is very good, out of 5 points to 4 points; the location is very good to give full marks, the train station is 5 minutes walk, the nearest attraction, Santa Maria del Fiore, go out and go straight, go straight Walking is the famous shopping street in the big brand; the hotel has good quality breakfast, delicious cake, hand-washed coffee and outdoor terrace. Then you have to vomit! Poor facilities, out of 5 points can only give 1 point: the elevator is small and broken, squeaky; the bed in the room is small, the quilt is thin, the air conditioner is not strong, the water flow in the bath hot water is also small, the toilet will also be anti-water... The service could have been given a pass, but only 2 points were given: the last day found that the cleaning secretly took away a whole pack of chocolates we put on the table... and we blamed ourselves for buying a lot. Putting it on the table may feel like taking one and you won't find it, but if we buy it by head, we will not remember the wrong number. Moreover, the cashier is also kept, you can order the number... although 5 euros of small things, but the feeling of being uncomfortable to the residents, this is taboo! Fortunately, shopping is arranged on the last day, advise everyone not to put the valuables in the hotel, it must be locked in the suitcase!

      Booked this hotel as part of a package deal but had no complaints about it. Firstly, the staff in the hotel are lovely and will do anything for you. The hotel itself might initially look a little way outside of Florence on a map but it is actually in a very good location that is not too far a walk right into the centre. The breakfast room isn't large. This was only a problem on 1 day when I think quite a few guests were perhaps going on some sort of trip so there was a queue for the breakfast room. Other days were ok though.

      We stayed as two couples in this lovely hotel. It is very centrally located, within walking distance from most of the sites / attractions and it overlooks the river on one side and a church in a small courtyard on the other. We stayed in standard rooms, which were fairly small but they served our purpose well. They were very clean and the bed was very comfortable with good quality, crisp cotton sheets that were changed daily. The breakfast was plentiful with lots to choose from - there was fresh fruit, yoghurt, meats, smoked salmon, cheese, hams, cooked scrambled eggs, crispy bacon and the usual toast, rolls, croissants, cakes etc. the quality of the breakfast was good and we never tired of it during our 4 night stay. The staff were very efficient and friendly. The reception staff were always on hand to book a restaurant or tickets for a museum or other attraction. Special mention goes to Claudio the barman who went above and beyond to make our stay extra special - he kept us fed and watered and was simply amazing! Thank you Claudio! We would definitely return.

      I must admit this is probably the worst managed "hotel" in Florence by far, and we didn’t even get a chance to stay here. Our family member had a wedding in March that was cancelled due to the COVID-19 virus. All of our family and friends were all able to secure refunds in Florence at all hotels & Airbnb and really shows the wonderful nature of the Italians and the fantastic customer service you can expect in Florence. Unfortunately, we cannot say the same for The Moon Boutique Hotel & Spa. We were declined any refunds even due to our unforeseen circumstances, would give them zero stars if possible! however, we were offered credit valid for a year. Although there appears to be an intention of sincerity, it is however completely useless to us as we don’t know when and if we will ever be in Florence again after this or even next year or who knows to be really honest as travel is so restricted post-COVID-19. We Thought to contact the General Manager directly to have the matter resolved with him and get some sort of refund, unfortunately, we should have read the reviews about him before making a booking here. He has proven to be completely robotic in his email response to our family and clearly is not favoured by previous guests at this hotel. I do realize Italy has been hit harder than most countries. Surely this is a time to be helpful, understanding and accommodating rather than being firm on procedures completely disregarding this Virus and how it has affected peoples travel. If the hotel cannot honour a refund due to this virus it is completely indicative of their values, standards and the establishment on a whole. The problem with some of these boutique hotels around the world is that not being part of a big group they hire subpar managers and a team that are only driven by profit to make their bosses happy. When things head south don’t expect any honourable or top class service you would from a hotel chain or group. Never been so disappointed. Avoid!

Due to coronavirus we decided not to travel to North Italy and wrote the hotel to get refund (our bookinf was no ref). At first they offer us to change dates and gave us 6 months but after all they decided to send full refund. They are very pleasant, always respond our letters. We are very glad to them. I hope after coronavirus mess we'll visit Italy and of course i'll chose this hotel fir their kindness.

      Nothing to fault in regards to cleanliness and service. It is a little distance from the centre. However, there is a shuttle bus from the hotel and bikes available for use. We mostly walked or used the buses. You need to purchase a ticket beforehand this can be done at one of the many tabbacconists but very cheap and a great way to get around. It's about a 30-40 min walk to the centre. 10 mins by taxi at around €10-15. Be aware there is a €5 per person per night city tax! Also the nibbles in room are not complimentary and not cheap! I would say it is a little expensive in the bar also. For a Pimms and a Gin and Tonic it was €25. It did come with olives and some nuts which were not charged for, so not too bad tbf. We didn't eat in the restaurant as we like to eat out. The menu though limited, looked good and maybe if we'd stayed longer we may have tried it. Please see my review of the Vecchia Osteria Del Nacchero. What a steak. Only 8 mins walk away! Well worth a visit. We found Florence to be a lively vibrant, city. Beautiful architecture, wonderful food and friendly people. South of the river is particularly our kind of place. Make the effort to explore it and you will find it rewarding. Worth saying if you make the effort to at least wish good day, evening. Please, thank you etc. You may not always get the pronunciation correct but I definitely think the effort is appreciated. Don't worry most speak good English (Certainly the hotel staff do) so you will get by easy enough. If arriving by train from Pisa try booking the shuttle and train on line. It will be cheaper than getting a ticket at the office in the Airport. The booth is on the right as you walk through the arrivals gate. It was about €40 for 2 tickets. On the way back we booked on line which was about half price! Be aware that at peak times the train is extremely busy. Packed in like sardines is a good description! Also be aware if you use the city taxis to or from Florence Station. That there is a luggage tax. So a one way trip to or from the train station with luggage to the hotel is €25. The hotel and the staff are exactly what you would hope to find. We had a very comfortable stay and made use of the pool and the spa. We had a lovely stay so thank you all.

      The style is very good, the decoration is very much my heart! Artistic explosion! The room was small and the ceiling was somehow high. Clean, courteous service, you can charge for parking, and the price is reasonable (more than 100 a night in the old town of Florence almost). The location is fairly central, on the edge of the old city. If you do n’t find it troublesome, you can actually stop outside and walk in. The parking fee is much cheaper. In the morning, it wasn't common.

In Florence we hosted the Residence of the Pitti Family, which also gives the name of the Establishment itself and the Plaza. Say that the price is a little out of the common, but sometimes you have to allow some luxuries. As I know the price of the night stay is high, I must admit that the experience was worth it, because it is central and right at the entrance of the old area of "Firenze", a few meters from "Ponte Vecchio" or the Duomo de Florence. The hotel has a service that is at the same price (€30), park it and bring it when you need, so it's worth hiring and forget it to move on walking or in public transport. The profile is certainly high, but stay in Pitti Palace is worth it.

      If you want to choose a hotel close to the Old Bridge, the Uffizi Gallery, and the Lord's Square, this is a good choice. Should belong to the nature of family hotels, the front desk has seen three, of which the grandfather is very nice, after checking out, waiting for the car to order the coffee and finally exempt. The rest of the hotel is next to the old bridge, 10 meters to the right is the old bridge, and 10 meters to the left is the Uffizi Gallery, the location is excellent. The room hardware is quite normal, but very warm.

      FABULOUS, FABULOUS!! We enjoyed a stunning and spacious suite! The rooms are absolutely GORGEOUS. The breakfasts are very special - beautiful presentation and delicious. Staying here enhanced our visit to Florence very much. The location is spectacular, right in the heart of Florence and the sites. And, as if it couldn't get better, let's talk about the staff. THEY ARE TREMENDOUS. They secured me an eye doctor appointment for an unexpected medical situation, scheduled museum and restaurant reservations, and displayed tremendous hospitality throughout our stay. Thank you to Paolo, Valentina, Tommaso, Leonardo, Samanta, and Nawal. We even had an opportunity to meet the owner - she was absolutely charming and deeply cares about her guests. (Although I noted February 2020 as our travel date because that is as far back as Trip Advisor will let me go, we actually traveled July of 2019.)

      We had very mixed feelings about this hotel, so I wanted to list what we thought the pro's and con's were, since we had more cons than pros for a 4* hotel I though an 'average' score was fair, as we probably would not stay here again. Pro's: The location is unbeatable, we walked everywhere and everything is close by. The staff were all friendly. The room was very large with beautiful antique furniture throughout, the style of the hotel was very 'Florence' and attractive. It was clean. The tower was a nice touch with great views. Breakfast was okay, good coffee but no hot options. Cons: Bit of a pong on the ground floor and on entry of our room. The room was either freezing or boiling (not great heating system for winter stays), bed was really hard and pretty uncomfortable, plus two singles and not a double so lots of falling into the crack! The bathroom needs a good update; poor shower. No in-room tea/coffee options and no irons (I realise this is a Florence-wide thing but we were unwilling to pay a massive laundry fee just for one shirt ironing). We ran out of bottled water, as the room was never restocked through our 4 night stay, but the gentleman at the front desk gave us his own personal water bottles, which was very kind but he was a bit annoyed. Our room looked over a narrow alley, so the room was very dark and most nights men were in the alley talking and drinking in to the early hours keeping us awake - I realise it is a city centre location, but they were directly under our window for hours!! Plus, for a 4* hotel there were no 'little extras' we were hoping for (e.g no slippers, no robes). As mentioned, breakfast was ok but in a big cold room with no hot options, which in February would have been nice! I realise that for some of these items we could have asked/gone to front desk for help, but after two visits to the front desk we didn't want to spend our entire few days continuously asking for more things. Overall, it was a nice stay but we wouldn't stay here again; mainly because of the poor quality of sleep.

      On arrival you think from the outside wow, what a beautiful hotel. We'll it's definitely not the case. We had an average stay and this hotel definitely doesn't deserve 5 stars at all. Yes on check-in the staff are vety welcoming and friendly but (an here we go). 1) very bare, the hotel feels cold definitely not a warm feel. 2) Restaurant closed, vety misleading as when we booked it was advised as open. 3) Continental Breakfast/breakfast, you'd find better in a service station 4) bar area, the bartender is friendly but slow.. Wow 5) Room (suite) very worn in fact both rooms we had felt worn. 6) no air conditioning, the rooms extremely hot, yes we had to open the windows but the noise from outside we terrible. 7) quite far from the city centre. Overall this is probably one of the worst hotels we've stayed in for many years and will definitely not be returning to it, I recommend the Westin, 4 seasons or Savoy. If not for my wife we would have checked out of the hotel our first night. As for the manager or whoever replies to these messages don't bother, we are extremely upset with the misleading info provided to us about this hotel.

      I have seen there are no recent reviews so will update you on our visit. First off this is NOT a hotel and they do not have any services at all. They don't advertise that so it is what is says a B&B. Our room way extremely small even for europe rooms. The bathroon was the size of a telephone booth. The drain did not work at all and within 2 minutes the pan was filled and overflowing into the bathroom. You can not use the shower bascially. The air conditioning works but sounds like there are coins bashing around in it and can't really be used at all. No way to sleep in the room with that noise.. its not just a little noise it rattling really loudly. The person that run the place is only there from 2-6pm. He was very nice and helpful. If you need anything after that you are on your own. He said call him and he can come back. But hardly feels right calling a guy to run over to bring extra towels. While the location is excellent..... without a fan or air conditioning the outside noise it unbearable. Loud parties and people have fun below until at least 4:00am. I think I was dosing here and there as I heard about 30 people signing happy birthday at 3:30am. I know we had the smallest room but had I been there a second night I would have checked out a day early. This again is not a hotel I would say its a dorm room with a view.

      The only hotel with a balcony, 3 people, the environment is the same thing, there is a wife who eats grilled wings opposite the hotel is too good for 1 euro, her husband eats 8 children and eats 3, I I ate three, but I wanted to buy it, but I didn’t have time to go to the church. The price is mainly convenient. Besides, I want to say that if the church in Florence is not on the roof, look outside, otherwise If you queue up for 2 hours, you will regret it. I am the fast-track to book the ticket in advance, and visit the roof. Look at the church for 5 minutes. If I queue for 2 hours, I will definitely not do it.

      The location of the room is good, in the urban area, the room can be considered as a big, very fine hotel! The lobby of the hotel is very stylish. Breakfast dining environment is also good! The layout of the room, a family of three 👨‍👩‍👧 will not be crowded when staying! The child's bed is on the other side of the room. Good space, three suitcases don't feel too crowded! The bathroom space is not small, the shower room is very interesting, it is flexible and retractable! The hotel's air conditioner is a bit hot, and the air conditioner is turned off, but I still feel a bit hot! Everything else is fine! Very cost-effective hotel.

      So we stayed at this hotel as part of an intrepid tour and it was a standout for the accommodation type for our tour Why? A. Marco the manager and his Canadian wife: lovely people, fluent English speaking, friendly and made us feel safe and welcome. Helped get some laundry done for us , recommended a nice local restaurant for dinner just around the corner, and so on; B. Central and logistic location to get in and do the essentials in town. A hop skip and a jump from ...the leather market, the food market, the main shopping streets, the Duomo, the Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio etc and 4 mins WALK from railway station; C. A kettle and tea and coffee making facilities in room. This was a feature not afforded to us in any of our hotels in Rome, Venice, or Bologna but thanks to Marco and his wife it’s there waiting for you in Florence and it was Greatly appreciated by us (Aussie/English couple); D. Quiet. Fully sound insulated windows. Contrast our hotels on Rome and Venice which were really noisy at night. Would I go back if revisiting Florence? You bet.

      Our three night stay at Hotel Ginori al Duomo was on the back of a ten night stay in Sicily. We flew into Florence, and boarded a tram to Unita, the closest stop to the hotel, and then had about a seven minute walk through the local leather goods market. A friendly welcome by reception, and we were persuaded to upgrade from an economy room to a garden room with breakfast included. Sadly, we arrived at the wrong end of the season to be able to make use of the outdoor pool and jacuzzi, which was a shame as Florence was experiencing unseasonably hot weather.  We did not let this spoil our stay as the air con in the room was excellent. This hotel is close to all the main attractions in Florence, and makes a good base for exploring the city as virtually everything within ten to fifteen minutes of walking.  There is a fully stocked supermarket across the street, ideal if you need snacks and drinks for the room, which included a fridge.  Pharmacy is less than two minutes walk away. The hotel is deceptively big, has a high standard of cleanliness, and face masks are currently mandatory.  The room met our needs for this short stay, was comfortable and pleasantly decorated, with a small balcony overlooking the pool. Breakfast was buffet style continental/American and was adequate.  I would recommend this hotel as a good base for a city break. Tip : bring trainers or sports shoes as the pavements are uneven in Florence, and as they are not very wide you constantly hop in and out of the road to avoid oncoming pedestrians.
