My son was driving from Manchester to Berlin and thought, once off the ferry he could manage the drive in one go. I realized that he would need an overnight stay around the Hannover area. I contacted this hotel not thinking that they would respond so late in the evening, but they responded immediately and managed to give my boy a bed for the night, a lovely supper and an enormous lovely breakfast the next morning. He had the best nights sleep in the lovely comfy bed and was ready for his onward journey. Thank you Mercure Hotel Am Entenfang Hannover for being so kind :)

We stayed in this hotel for three nights in early November (as far as we were aware there was no major Fair on in Hannover, which events escalate prices across the city) and found the cost reasonable. The hotel is a 20 year old seven-storey block on the edge of the city centre. It has been upgraded to provide many of the current ibis standards (sweet beds, public area décor etc) but equally much of it is still unaltered, although well-maintained, from its construction. It has 125 rooms with charged car parking on site and has good disabled access. The location is excellent for access to the city centre either by car or by tram. Walking would be difficult and we believe the estimate of 30 minutes without luggage to be slightly optimistic! Traffic always appeared dense on the road and we therefore used the tram. The tram journey to the city centre via the railway station is less than 10 minutes and trams run frequently and the fares are low. There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance but we did not use them. The hotel has a small soft seating area immediately by the reception desk. There is a computer for public use. In room wifi was free and acceptable. There is a bar which serves the restaurant area. This restaurant area also doubles as a breakfast room. The hotel would appear to take local groups and certainly was well enjoyed by one business organisation, but remarkably the breakfast room and the self serve counters coped, unlike other hotels we did not find these groups overwhelmed the facilities. As a pleasant surprise - in our experience - the restaurant provides an extensive menu for lunch and dinner. Reasonably priced although with limited choice for vegetarians, but given the willingness of the kitchen to accommodate special diets we had no problem and indeed ate in the hotel restaurant on two occasions. We took breakfast which was the standard ibis continental fare with three hot options (scrambled and boiled eggs and bacon) but no toast! Akin to other German hotels there were no pastries but rather a lethal-looking waffle machine - we didn't try this. The spread was generous, of good quality and reasonable value - although we could not have found an alternative close by. Rooms reflect the age of the hotel, but ours was perfectly clean and housekeeping was attentive. The bathroom was the standard ibis shower pod - clean and fully functioning but showing its age. Heating/air-con worked on the top floor. We were at the rear of the hotel overlooking the car park and we experienced no noise. There was some cross room noise but it was not intrusive. Rooms on the front of the hotel might be noisy because of the main road. Throughout our stay staff were helpful and professional, most had excellent spoken English and all were prepared to help out with our requests. There are building works next door and although these did not trouble us they may cause noise problems during the day when the work advances

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. The location was amazing, only 14 minutes walk from central station and from there you can explore all the main sights. The room size was perfect for a couple. The bed was massive and very comfortable. The room has a mini fridge, coffee making facilities and a big TV with some English channels. The bathroom was clean and the shower spacious and extremely hot. The whole place was clean and well looked after. We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were really nice, especially the guy at the front desk Jewgani (not sure if I've spelt this correctly). We felt well looked after and they were kind enough to keep our bags whilst we explored the city before our flight once we checked out.

The room was really big and it was very comfortable. The young lady at the front desk was so nice and very nice. She took me to find the room and then explained to me how to use the things in the room. I forgot to bring the charger when I went out this time, and I asked the lady at the front desk to borrow it. The surrounding scenery is beautiful, right next to a cathedral, every hour on the hour will ring the bell, accompanied by the bell in the evening, really enjoy it. It is also very close to the University of Hannover and the dsh test center, which can be reached within a 5-minute walk. Although the room was showered on 5th Street, I couldn't hear any traffic. A great experience.

Friendly and efficient early check-in. Decent sized room overlooking the park. Everything nice and clean and comfortable beds. No idea why a previous review stated the hotel is in a sordid area. We walked to the rear area of the hotel in the afternoon and found a busy area full of shops, cafes etc. Early evening we went through the park and found ourselves in the main shopping area. Due to Covid-19, bars, restaurants etc were closed, however takeaway food was available. We decided to have a couple of the hotels microwave frozen meals, these were of a good quality and went well with a bottle of wine in the room. All of the staff that we came into contact with were both friendly and efficient and we will happily stay here again when next in Hannover.

The single room was large enough. Interior clearly came into the years (møbels, wallpaper is unloading), bathroom not very spacious but optically clean. Housekeeping works shit, in the closet was a open bag with a dressing tool. One of the tea bags was also open. That must not be. I've asked a staff member on the floor if she is responsible for housekeeping and I should give her feedback. Answer: Competent yes, but only at the reception. The young lady there heard that whether something happened with the info, I can't say. An excuse she never thought necessary. Very disturbing I found my room very bright. I understand almost every word from the phone caller next to it. Since the room is located to the parking lot, at least I have hardly heard street noise.

Stayed for the second time, the hotel is generally good, everything is quite satisfactory. The train station is 7 or 8 minutes walk away. The non-weekend breakfast starts at 6:30, which is very friendly to early risers. The front desk is also very friendly, entrusted storage and transfer of items, very readily agreed. If you want to choose a hotel in Hannover, I highly recommend this one overall.

Smaller but very comfortable hotel. Rooms are not fancy but everything is functional. A good rest is guaranteed. A fridge would be nice though for those who would stay longer. Great restaurant, steaks are fantastic. Fast and unrestricted WiFi. Parking place next to the building. Nice area for runners. Go north towards the Park house and then west. You pass terminal for small aircraft. Enter the 300m tunnel under taxiways. Don’t worry there’s a wide pedestrian way. Later go slightly left through the gate which is always open even for bikers. Follow the roads around the north runway and you end up again at the Park house. All together is about 11 km, just horse farms and forest.

First I have to question some reviews who give 4 out of 5 for their perfect stay. I had a perfect stay so it's 5 out of 5 from me! As IHG spire I got a much needed early check-in and a lovely king room, spotlessly clean and such a comfortable bed. Complimentary water was much appreciated as were the English tv channels as I was happy to spend a night in after a day exploring. Slippers would have been nice, dressing gown appreciated. Staff lovely only one point I was booked room only and no mention of adding breakfast on arrival which I might have added, however I spotted the most amazing bakery round the corner which I totally recommend Fahrenhorst, check it out! Highly recommended this hotel.

The location of the hotel is perfect. Central but quiet and within walking distance of Hannover main station. The hotel has a boutique feel and we were warmly welcomed on arrival with the guest form ready for us. The breakfast, for only 9,50€,was a bargain and is definitely worth having. The room and en suite bathroom were fine. Only one pillow per person was not a problem for us but might be for others.. The lift needs time to arrive so if you're in a hurry to leave then allow extra time or take the stairs.Free coffee varieties from a machine were available all day in the lounge area, which was nice. All in all an excellent experience.

Hotels under the German Railways can receive a free city transport ticket for staying, and it is worthwhile if needed. The lobby facilities are great and suitable for meetings. The air conditioner was unfortunately broken, but it was given a fan. No minibar, three star hotel standard. The hygiene of the hotel is not to be said. The facilities are modern and simple, the seats are good and the work can be done smoothly.

The hotel is very convenient for those who work at Hanover exhibitions and are also getting by car. If you go to the right, you get to Messennelweg and in 15 minutes quietly get to the exhibition, and on the left, the truth is much further, passes Autoban 7. It seemed very convenient and I really liked it. A. Here, without a car to get not so fast. From the center and Kröpcke station to drive 9 stops and then either a kilometer walk or 2 stops by bus 137. And it's from the center 45 minutes, and to the exhibition further. Well, the hotel is pretty good in general. Breakfast was uniform but it was delicious and during the buffet for dinner after training there was just a charming Elsasian fish file from ciga. The hotel has a very large parking. The Lidl supermarket is in step-by-step availability. In general, who has a car - I advise, without it - will be far away to everything.

We booked a ClassicDZ for March last year. However, because of the Corona pandemic, we had to rebook and arrived only at the last weekend of July 2020. The hotel was very friendly and easy to book, not room-kick, friendly and easy to make. Also the hotel staff were friendly, competent and easy to make. Our flat-sized room in the hotel's courtyard was small, but there was everything that man/woman needed during a WE stay in a large city. The bathroom was very clean and modern, air conditioning worked well and quiet, without disturbing noise. Breakfast was simple, according to the room price. All in all we can recommend the hotel for a short stay in Hannover City. The pedestrian zone, the old town and all the attractions are, as well as the men's gardens to reach well to foot. The street and metro is also directly around the corner.

The recipe works until 22-00 , and we arrived later, but on the door there is a detailed instruction where to call and the key boxes, so we settled successfully))) breakfast is quite normal (if not capricized))), There is no elevator - for the 4th floor it is not critical (if there are no huge suitcases))), the room is clean, regulated heating, there is all necessary (and if something is needed - the staff will provide it), one minus was, The stove has not been turned off unless the network connection is turned off (unfortunately it is inside the cabinet and at the bottom, so if your dimensions are not allowed, do not get to)). Staff speaks English and is very kind)) . The hotel is 15 minutes walk from the central station, very convenient to walk on a wide pavement)))) Many sights are also on foot access. We spent 3 nights in this hotel and we did not need taxi or public transport. On our next visit to Hannover we will be happy to spend time again in this hotel!

Conveniently located hotel on top of a very fair priced parking garage. Only €7 for guests, per day. You do need to validate your ticket in the machine in the corridor from the hotel to the garage and you can only pay with cash, which is the case in a lot of places in Germany. Nice, spacious room with a view on the forest leading towards the zoo (20 minutes walk). Staff at check-in were very friendly, our son got to pick a small gift. The hotel is located conveniently, but next to the city centre as some reviews state. The city centre is about 35 minutes of walking or 10 by U-bahn, which stops in front of the hotel. There is, however, a main shopping street in about 5 minutes walking from the hotel, with a mainly pedestrian area that leads up to the station and into the Altstadt/city centre. However, there was a big concern during our visit. At breakfast there was one member of staff who was deliberately ignoring us completely. I observed him attending every table, except ours. Asking guests how they were doing, if everything was good and even cracking jokes (I speak German). Other staff members did attend our table, but this young man did not. When we left the restaurant, I saw and heard him welcome other guests in a very friendly manner. yet he still ignored us. With regard to the breakfast, there was a lot of choice. Bread was not that good for German standards. Furthermore, our room was very hot. Even with the climate system set to cold. These points has made me give this hotel an average rating rather than a 'very good' rating.

Hannover was a pleasant surprise-what a nice, clean & pretty city. This hotel was maybe 5 min walk from train station all in pedestrian area with shops, pubs etc all around. The church bells did NOT disturb sleep! We barely could hear them while awake. As we were there in summer, the AC worked very well. The bathroom had the liquid soap dispensers in the shower & at the sink, also a lotion dispenser. It appeared to be recently remodeled-modern & super clean. The lady at the front desk could give us large glasses of ice. She also had apples & mints there. Loaner umbrellas available. Breakfast was HUGE including hot scrambled eggs, fried eggs, sausage links & patties, bacon, salmon! (0630-10 M-F, 7-11 S&S). I like how the coffee is self serve so you can come down & grab a cup when you wake up before you actually come down for breakfast. Another part of the hotel that I loved is how there is a covered terrace off the lobby on the square facing the church that has many tables & chairs where you can sit any time, even during breakfast& Even though there is a small bar, I saw people sitting out there at night with their own wine...very peaceful & relaxing atmosphere. It is also right next door to Dublin Inn which seemed quite lively. I only stayed here 2nts to be close to Wolfsburg for the autostadt & vw museum, but I liked it so much, i would love to return to enjoy more of the hotel & city!

During recent storms, Deutsche Bahn rerouted and cancelled my train which left me stranded in Hannover unexpectedly. I quickly booked the first Marriott property I could find on the app because I needed a last minute room guaranteed late at night. When I arrived at checkin, Inga Zarzycki welcomed me after a long and frustrating day of travel. She answered all of my questions, and even provided me a complimentary upgrade to a beautiful suite because of my Platinum status. I was also informed that I had the minibar and breakfast included and could choose between a welcome gift or bonus points. The suite itself was beautiful! It felt like a small apartment. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The bathroom was also great, with a big tub. I am 6’4” so it was a nice surprise to be able to soak in the tub after a terrible travel day. The following morning after a hearty breakfast, I spoke with Olga Schmidt at the front desk and explained I was going to go to the train station and try to get home to Berlin, but that I might need to extend my stay for another night. I asked her to hold my room and not send housekeeping, just in case. She kindly agreed. After a terrible experience at the train station, I returned to the hotel disappointed that all trains were cancelled again and I was stranded for another day. Olga welcomed me back with a cappuccino and some candy and suggested I check out the sauna and fitness center to relax. The sauna is beautiful and had a roof top terrace, perfect for cooling off. Shortly after this, I learned that my friend was driving from Berlin to pick me up and take me home, and that I would not need to stay an extra night. When I explained my situation to Olga, she informed me that I could have a VERY late checkout and would not be charged an additional night for the room. This is top notch customer service! She totally understood my situation and made every effort to accommodate my ever changing needs. When I finally went to checkout, I was happy to see Inga again. Olga had already updated her and it was an easy checkout experience. Both Inga and Olga are fantastic representatives of excellent customer service and I truly appreciate their help and consideration during an otherwise stressful travel experience. If I am ever in Hannover again, this will be my first choice of hotel because of the level of service I received.

The hotel itself is a good city centre hotel. If there weren't the noise. Google you the neighborhood, you could have known it before. But we couldn't imagine that the "party miles" opened from 19Uhr in the evening to 10Uhr in the morning with an incredible volume as well as hardcore bass. Despite closed windows and Oropax, you could sing with the songs and feel the bass. Sleep was not in there. Two nights in sequence. So nothing for weekends or holidays. The problem seems to be a club directly opposite that doesn't comply with noise control rules. According to the reception, you can't do nix there, the police don't care. The breakfast is good, but if the hotel is booked, you have to wait for a table somewhat long. The only point of decline in breakfast: the coffee from the full-automate is horrible. The staff is nice and in part helpful. But to knock on the door of the room and explain you need to clean the room now, in 10 minutes it doesn't go, I think it is inappropriate. The room itself is quite small but clean. The shower separation could be a little bigger so that you do not put the bathroom under water at every shower, but otherwise everything is OK. At the previous request you will get a parking place in the parking house around the corner at a price. Not a nice path to walk at night, but the best way to park on and for itself. My conclusion: A hotel where you can't sleep at night has failed its purpose.

This hotel is right across the street from the airport. It is perfect if you need somewhere to stay before an early morning flight or to do business in Hannover. I stayed here just for a night as I was flying out at 6am the following morning. This is an atrium style hotel with a large open area in the center and rooms on each level around the atrium. If there were a large event in the center atrium things could get a little noisy - but that was not the case while I was there. The decor of the hotel lobby is beautiful and formal. Check in was welcoming and helpful. I felt like it was going to be a wonderful stay already. The room is large, well lit, and some overlook the runway. Mine did not but as I said it was only for an evening. The room had nice 1L bottles of still and sparkling water which was quite refreshing. The bed was very comfortable and the room was extremely clean. The hotel is pet friendly and so I was able to travel with my cat. This was very helpful for me to have such a nice welcoming space. I ordered room service as I was exhausted from the day - this was ok but not great food. It probably would have been better had I gone down to the restaurant. But the service was consistently terrific and when I had questions I got quick and helpful answers. If I am back in Hannover this would be my first choice of hotel. I enjoyed it very much.

Exterior appearance is dated. Only when I was in room noticed I had been “charged” an EXTRA 50€ per night on the credit card which they described to me as being on an EU initiative. I do not like this practice happening WITHOUT MY CONSENT and that it was not even explained to me at Check in. Had to go downstairs to get TV remote replaced only to go back down later that night because that one was not working either. (btw remote in Hamburg was individually wrapped – here it came with a small pack of hygienic wraps – so much for Covid cleaning). Duty Receptionist/Manager came up and made me feel inferior because it worked for her. Then there is the safe that works when it wants to. I didn’t bother mentioning that for fear of being told off again. Internet – only allowed two of my three devices and it had to be reconfigured every day of my stay. Staying in the Hamburg Courtyard I had none of these problems. Good large room with my lake view being excellent (despite the torn mosquito netting on the opening window). (I fully appreciate requests cannot always be met but the hotel was not full and they consider 3rd of 5 floors as high). Furniture and carpeting very dated. The electric switches had a mind of their own. Excellent bathroom very hot water, good towels. Bed very comfortable with very good assortment of pillows. Easy chair and table NOT good for working on (unlike Hamburg). Clearly resting on its laurels with proximity of Arena next door and the lakeside location. Personally I would not recommend this hotel purely on the basis that it seems to be living in the past. It needs a lot of care and money spending on it. Apparently this is a “franchise” hotel – it creates a bad impression of what Courtyard can do (see my Hamburg review).

We stayed for one night before Christmas. 3 adults one 3 year old in two adjacent rooms with a connecting door. The hotel looks brutalist, probably built in the 60s. The rooms were both clean and cosy. Equipped with the usual design features of the leonardo group. Even the modern flat screen and neon design was very well integrated in a stylish bar area, so that the age of the building could solely be recognised from the outside. But, this is only the outer shell! From the young receptionists, the barkeeper, the cook who could spare a moment in a not yet busy kitchen over the nice breakfast personnel up to the kind lady in the covid test room (offering for a small fee) everybody was kind, caring and much more than helpful - anticipating our wishes, just perfect! We wondered in the morning why we only stayed for one night. If we will be back in the area, we will make sure its the leonardo hotel tiergarten. The hotel and equipment alone deserve 4 stars but the people made our stay a special one, 5 stars and a big thank you to the complete hotel staff! StayHealthy!

The breakfast is very rich, there is hot food, very close to the train station, across the overhead, opposite the square, there is a large shopping center. Everything you want to buy can be basically bought, and the front desk is very warm. Worth staying

Went on the ferry from Harwich to the Hook of Holland and drove to Hannover which took approximately 4 and half hours. The check in was effortless and was given the keys to an apartment number 103. The bedroom area was quite large with a kitchenette off it and an en-suite bathroom with twin sinks, bath with shower over and wc. The room was spotless apart from a circular rug although that wasn’t too much of a problem. The bed was extremely comfortable with white bedding, and again spotless. Towels were changed daily. The room maid came every day and it wasn’t a problem if you weren’t ready on one occasion were just vacating the room after 12 again no problem. The staff made our stay nothing was too much trouble even the elderly lady on reception wanted to carry our case to the room, obviously we didn’t let her. We did not have the breakfast because at 14 euros per person I thought it was a bit expensive, having said that the dining area looked wonderful with white table linen. There is a small bar and TV room. Don’t expect English channels apart from CNN and BBC world news. Parking is a bit difficult but the hotel did help us by moving there own vehicle to accommodate us. Getting there by public transport, from Southern England the only direct flight to Hannover is from Heathrow other than that fly to Bremen and get the train to Hannover station and the Hotel is around 8 minutes walk. Yes we would definitely stay again.

Nice things first; the hotel is in an historic interesting building, the staff was nice and the hotel was clean. However the parking garage was full so had to find road side parking. The checking process was long and tiresome due to the manual filling of papers regarding Covid. Breakfast buffet was the but not too inspiring. The wall mounted toilets was hung at floor level which means I can’t imagine how old people would ever get up again, not persons with a bad back. I’ll probably try another hotel in Hannover next time I’m in tower

It feels harsh writing this review as this hotel is well put together, clean and I went during time of COVID when they were clearly just opening up, I may also stay here again the next time I come to Hannover BUT this experience was somewhat disappointing. Firstly issue was that when we arrived, it took 20-30 minutes before I saw anyone who could help me check in. During check-in (the guy who eventually arrived didn't really seem to know how to use their computer systems) they moved my payment to a different section which led to them asking me about 3/4 times during my stay for payment despite the fact I had already paid and had evidence of it. In fact, this slowness (during a quiet time for the hotel) was a factor many times. Over and over again people disappeared and there was no one on the front desk or around to help. When I got to our room I wanted to call to the desk to ask for some item (I forget right now but they didn't have it) and there was no phone in the room. Quick thinking (kinda) made me call off my mobile. I rang SEVEN times to the front desk - no one answered. I eventually went downstairs to try to find someone. The phone is a classic example of things they don't have. There's a hair and body wash hooked into the shower (surprising for such a nicely finished hotel) but there is no extra amenities. No soap by the sink, no shower cap, no body lotion. I don't need 30 books I'm never going to read which are going to collect dust, I want items I may use. Similarly, they pitch this amazing mini bar which is free - one shot of gin, some tonic, a couple of bottles of water and coca cola and an alcohol-free beer. That's it. For two people. We would have both loved to start off our holiday getting ready to meet friends with a proper beer each - but I guess that doesn't matter to everyone. Another time I ordered an iron - no one seemed to understand what that was. Eventually, after an hour and 4 phone calls and a friend asking downstairs, one arrived. It was a good one to be fair but I was no an hour later than I wanted to be. I think style before substance is the best way to sum up this. It looks great but nothing is functioning properly. I will say there was one lady on the front desk (I forget her name) who was superb. But she was the highlight of a poor stay. Oh, it is quiet and the bed is super comfy though.

We had a voucher for this hotel which we had bought for a more than reasonable price. We got a spacious and clean room (I guess it was one of the renovated ones), a very nice breakfast buffet and friendly staff. We can't complain and are more than satisfied with our stay. It is true that the entire hotel itself looks a bit outdated for a 4-stars-hotel, but again: We had a very pleasant stay for the money we paid! The only thing I want to mention for improvement reason is that the bathroom does not fit to the renovated room, as it does not look very updated. The showerhead is not high enough for taller people (I am 1,74m and had my problems), so taking a shower is not very relaxing. Anyways, the bathroom was clean so nothing to really complain about. I would stay here again.

When we arrived the staff wasn't as welcoming as in other Novotel hotels, but we were helped fast with checking in. On our way to our room we already noticed that the carpet in the hallway was dirty and smelly, but what shocked us most was our room. It was a super old styled room, dirty carpet with dirty spots everywhere (was too scared to let our baby crawl on it), barely curtains to block the sight from people in the other buildings (a piece even almost fell on our baby's head while we tried to open it!), towels and bedding smelled old, soap dispensers where almost empty and water cooker was super dirty. Besides this the fridge wasn't on so we had to turn it on ourself, but turned out to not work. Same with the airco that didnt want to work in the room. A staff member from the reception came to check it out and restarted the electricity in our room. The fridge took hours to become cool, which wasnt handy as it was hot and we wanted cool drinks. And airco started working too, but eventually wasn't any help at all. Even with 25°C outside it stayed very hot inside. We tried to just "live with it", but suddenly after our second night water was not working anywhere! My husband called reception and the only answer we got was "We can only offer you to take a shower in another hotel". Which is soooo absured as we couldn't even flush the toilet. I went to the reception to ask for more information about it. It was going to be fixed in afternoon they said (they weren't even sure about it). We woke up sweaty as the room was super hot, and no water to shower, flush toilet, etc... Only option for us was to check out a night earlier than expected and go home as our vacation was already terrible. It's what we also did in the end..

This hotel is 130 years old and has a very good location. It is opposite the train station. The breakfast is superb. A variety of fresh ham and mushrooms are super delicious. There are many kinds of yogurt. There are many kinds of cheese. I have seen the most hearty breakfast in Europe and the United States, just as rich as the buffet breakfast at the luxury cruise. Marriott, Hilton's breakfast is simply weaker than this one. Seeing that we had a five-year-old little at the front desk, we asked the waiter to put the two beds together and added a small pillow. The breakfast was also free for the little ones. Come back to Hanover. Awesome.

This hotel is very conveniently located, with easy access to the train station by subway (direct line). The hotel is a congress center, so it would probably not be my first choice for a family vacation. For business trips, however, I can only recommend it. My room had a view on a field (which was quite amazing, I even saw a stork!), and was the most quiet I ever had in a hotel for a very long time. This was absolutely perfect as I had to get some work done. Breakfast was the classical buffet (bread, ham, sausages, eggs, cheese, fruits). The hotel has a lot of space for meetings and small group discussions. From the hotel start several small paths going to the fields, which are perfect for running or simply walking.
