Booked this after reading the reviews and thinking that it's only a mile and a half from Central Pisa. We arrived just before 11 and check in was quick and simple and we were given a room on the top floor. The room was quite large, with a big flat screen TV, fridge, air conditioning, big double bed and a single bed. We weren't tired so we dumped our bags them went for a wander. Obviously nothing was open, but there looked to be a couple of cafes nearby. After a good night's sleep, and a shower in the decent sized bathroom we went out to find breakfast. The cafes were closed, but it was a Sunday. We then looked around in daylight and there was nothing nearby. When I say nothing, I mean nothing for tourists. We wandered down some backroads, turning left and right as the mood took us. Eventually we came to a small village or town and found a bar for a coffee and pastry. It was raining so we went back. By that point after looking at our surroundings and maps on phones we realised there was absolutely nothing other than car showrooms, kitchen showrooms and other industrial places. We couldn't even walk as it looked like you'd need to get on the motorway to get to Pisa. This is a lovely hotel, if you hire a car. Or if you're there on business. We made a decision we had to change hotels. We went to check out and at that point we were told there was a bus route, but by the time we factored in fares and travelling time, we figured it was still too much. Staff couldn't have been any nicer, and this is a great hotel. For us it was just in the wrong area.

The location is a walking distance from the central station in Pisa about 15-25 minutes walk. Also a short walk to the main shopping street. This hotel is quite central if you don't mind the cramped room We had a midnight check-in. A friendly man at the reception speaks basic English was very helpful. We ask him if knew a restaurant opened late at night, but there is none. He felt sorry and give us a pack cracker to fill our empty stomach They have a good wifi connection and is free for the hotel guest. Is a plus point of this hotel - The hotel has no elevator so carrying the luggage to the room. Basic old room and cramped. We booked the triple room through booking.com for 54 euro, but hardly any space for luggage. The bathroom is small, no curtain shower. Breakfast included in the room rate was a joke. You get a cup of coffee, bottled water, and a couple of pack cookies. The location is in the rare neighborhood in Pisa, especially at night, it didn't look safe area.

During my last visit I was extremely disappointed with the overall service, so this time I came with quite a bit of skepticism, but the price was overwhelming. However, it turned out to be a whole new experience compared to the previous visit, and this hotel would without any delay be considered phenomenal. Significant improvements in the décor, especially of the restaurant, are noticeable. The rooms were extremely clean and functional - it would only be necessary to replace the TVs. Breakfast was of the classic AC type, but everything was fine and fresh and the choice was satisfactory. The treatment of the elite members was in accordance with all the rules of the program, which was a very pleasant change. The staff was wonderful, both at the front desk and at the restaurant. We got a great restaurant recommendation, and there were absolutely no issues with taxis this time. All in all, this is now a hotel that I will really want to return to in the future, and the value for money is incredible in favor of the guest. Just keep going!

Stayed here for one night during our trip to Northern Italy. Arrived by plane to Pisa airport and then walked to the hotel, takes about 15 minutes. Check in was easy, polite friendly staff and a super cute dog, Snoopy. The room was good, basic but very clean. The free mini-bar consisting of water, cola, juice and coffee pods was a lovely touch. Two croissants on the side for breakfast. The only downside was the noise, we stayed in the Baptistery Room which faced out onto the main road, the windows are pretty thin so don’t expect much quiet. This didn’t bother us as we can sleep with noise, but worth mentioning. The location is ok, but we knew this ahead of time, about a ten minute walk to the train station and main high street, about 25 minutes to the tower. All-in-all we were impressed with the value for money, and would happily stay again.

The first impression from outside was promising. The owner was very kind and helpfull, BUT.... the room has not it's own toilet, as in it is written in room rewiev!!! You have to share it with another apartment. It was basiclly like living with someone else in flat-no privacy that you would expect. The toilet flushing button was a challenge, bathroom is from the 80's, rusted. The TV in the apartment was not working. In short stay away!!!

Visited Pisa for New Year 2020 and stayed at this lovely hotel booked through Love Holidays. Perhaps a little dated but that added to charm of the hotel, buffet breakfast was included and this had a good variety of meat, cheese, pastries, fresh fruit and cereals. the room was cleaned regularly and all the staff were very professional, helpful and pleasant. the location has to be the biggest plus for this hotel, we were in room 210 (triple) this room has 2 small balconies that open onto the main street and right at the end is the Leaning Tower! definitely a WOW moment!! Opposite the hotel are several reasonably priced restaurants so eating out is easy. Pisa is beautiful and there's lots to see and do, we also caught the train to Florence on 2 occasions as we wanted to visit the art galleries - book in advance for the Uffizi and Accademia as the queues are enormous, luckily the hotel has good wifi so booking on line the evening before was simple. One tip I can pass on is that the shuttle train from the airport to Pisa central train station costs 5 euros per person then we got a taxi to the hotel, however a taxi from the airport straight to our hotel was 15 euros so a taxi worked our cheaper for us. I can thoroughly recommend this hotel and wouldn't hesitate return.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights to explore Pisa. The location is perfect for anyone interested in the Tower and local museums and about a 20/30 minute walk from the train station. We had a transfer from the airport (10 mins) and found everything to be fairly close. Our room was very clean and simple. Our bed was made daily and the staff were all very friendly and hospitable. The place could use a little updating- not by much but even a new carpet could renew the place. There is a very old hair dryer and bidet. There is a small lift to get to the upstairs floors with bags and a small TV room. There was also a TV in the room but we didn’t watch it. Breakfast was bread and croissants (as already noted in other reviews), with hams and cheeses, jams and Nutella. Not ideal for vegans as I ate bread and jam for 4 days. It’s served from 8-10 am The hotel is dated but you are paying for the location for the most part and I think it does that very nicely. Would recommend for anyone wanting to be close to the tower x Thank you for having us!

Getting into the hotel car park, and I’m sure it’s not the hotels fault, but a problem nonetheless. The entrance to the hotel is blocked off and the sat nav does not know a way in. In fact you have to drive through a trading estate between large gates that looked like you could get locked in where you don’t want to be. The lady on reception couldn’t have been nicer she really was very friendly with perfect English, so that was a plus point. Despite the hotels big new appearance outside, the inside is slightly shabby, a bit tired. My bed cover smelt like it had milk spilt on it, a bit cheesy. The air conditioning didn’t appear to be working, or didn’t work very well. The display read HELP until I discovered how to re set it, and then it appeared the lowest setting was 22. It just didn’t seem to work. You couldn’t have the window open due to mosquitoes, so it was a bit warm. Whilst on the subject of the windows. See below photos, it is very nice to have windows in a hotel you can open, but these windows open inwards. You would need to be very careful you don’t catch your back on very sharp corners, whilst bending down, or worse a young child could walk into the open window and hurt themselves, a bit of an over looked danger in my opinion. (Sharp corners)Despite the room being quite warm , I did sleep very well. The internet is very good, allowing me to conference video call my associates with ease, so really can’t fault this. Breakfast and I am sorry, this was a big let down, plastic cups for fruit juices is not pleasant. The hot selection was bacon that was really not nice and very salty and German sausage. The breakfast was poor unfortunately. I probably wouldn’t stay here again, but that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t say avoid as it’s ok, it’s just average. The biggest plus point was the lady on reception, she was really very nice an asset to this business for sure, in fact all the staff seem ok. The biggest minus is the windows that open inwards, someone is going to hurt themselves on these. One other point, on the window there is a mosquito net that you can close to keep mosquitoes out, the problem is,the frame has been fitted too low and there is a gap of a good couple of inches to let them in, it’s a bit strange.

The NH Pisa hotel is just 1 minute’s walk from the station and a short stroll into the city so we couldn’t do better than that. The room was a typical NH room and was really quiet despite the station and bus terminal being right outside our window. There was a quaint welcome gift of some tarts on a tray with ‘NH’ and an outline of the leaning tower drawn in icing sugar. Unfortunately, the bar fridge didn’t work so we couldn’t even keep our drinking water cold. We did tell the receptionist that it was unserviceable but nothing happened before we left - not so in other places we’ve stayed. There was no bar at all in the hotel so we asked the man at reception if he had any suggestions as to where to get a drink or something to eat but he was too busy to talk to us! We wondered then if he even reported our problem with the fridge in the room because he may have been too busy to do that, too. Breakfast was pretty good and included lots of veggies and salads. The NH Pisa is in a great location but the service could have been a little better.

After a day of literally planes, trains, and automobiles (taxis), we have arrived at our hotel in Pisa, Antiche Navi Pisano. It's a boutique hotel off the beaten path. It is not walking distance Tom the main train station but there is a station within walking distance. The rooms are more studio apartments than hotel rooms. I could actually see someone living here long term. They clean and comfortable, though the "king" size bed was just a couple of mattresses on a wood frame. The bed was still extremely comfortable. The front desk was a little different, more like back in an office or a large closet. The attendant was very informative about the hotel amenities. We did note that they're very strict about the rules...breakfast is over at 10:00 AM, if it's nice you may eat on the patio outside; housekeeping is from 10:00 to 12:00, vacate your room or you will not receive service. But best thing was this hotel was a short distance to the Tower (walking distance) and there were quite a few decent restaurants in the area. Would definitely stay here again.

I was looking for a good hotel to stay in for 1 night to enable us to reach the airport easily in the morning. Alarm bells rang straight away when the date was changed on the confirmation at the end of the booking process. Instead of a night in September they were “pleased to welcome us on November 10th”. This wouldn’t normally be a problem but they had already charged my credit card and didn’t permit refunds for any reason! I emailed them several times before I got a response. Eventually a young lady said she thought she could alter it for me which she did. After check in the litany of disasters began. Lift - only went to 2nd floor from Ground floor. Most guests seemed to be on the 3rd floor. Air conditioning - not working, room temperature 28c. It turned out that it was switched off. I was told the lowest temperature setting was 24c. No room service “Minibar” empty. Tea/coffee making facility was a kettle and 1 mug - nothing else. Toiletries - 2x 20 ml bottles of shampoo/conditioner and 1 very small bar of soap. Bed linen not ironed. 2 very flat synthetic pillows between us. Very noisy . Railway outside hotel going throughout the night. Busy road on the other side. There was often no one on the front desk. I went to ask for help with the air con not working early evening - no one there, other guests waiting. Eventually another guest found the receptionist/night manager(?) eating his dinner in another part of the hotel. No one serving on the bar. One waitress ( the only shining star in the place) was taking orders, serving meals and collecting used crockery from 10 tables in the restaurant. She did a brilliant job. We had a Junior Suite which bore no resemblance to the Junior Suites we had enjoyed during the rest of our trip. After a hot, noisy, sleepless night it was a relief to get out of the hotel Four star - no way. 2+ stars at best. A very basic service provided by a skeleton staff. Go there at your peril!
