I have to admit this hotel didn’t meet my expectations but it was clean. Getting to our room involved walking in the rain but it was a trashy walk. The one good thing for me was the handicapped shower w a shower Stool. The man at The front desk was very nice. I moved after one night. I was not comfortable there.

Dog friendly but unfriendly otherwise. I didn’t even get what I paid for (business king). They stuck me in a basic room w a full size bed at best and I didn’t even bother saying anything. I could tell all the rooms were going to be the same piss poor quality. Front desk unmanned constantly and extremely rude. I’m being nice bc I don’t believe in outing specific employees but one woman needs training in how to speak to customers. In my 20+ years of staying in hotels, no matter the price point, I’ve never been spoken to so disrespectfully for no reason. Room- disgusting. Lights not working, telephone not working, visible bed stains, all sorts of noises, I think you get the picture. No fridge, microwave or coffee maker. Antiquated thermostat. Couldn’t get much sleep due to noise, generally feeling unsafe for myself and my vehicle. Kicker- police activity outside in the AM because of some incident I didn’t care to witness after my comedically bad stay. As the old adage goes, you get what you pay for.

I am a Hilton Honors member, so I expect a certain level of treatment when I travel for business and stay at Hilton. However, that was not the case at this hotel. The front desk is very rude and cold. They act like it's a bother to check you in or out. They refused to provide me with a receipt so I could expense my trip with my employer. When I called to speak with a manager (Melissa) after my trip, she hung up on me. Very poor customer service. As a result, I filed a formal complaint with their corporate office. Also, though the room was clean, there were ants on the desk and TV, and all over the counters in the breakfast area. They did not wipe anything down in the breakfast area. Generally, if there is a bug problem, then that means there is a deeper maintenance issue. I do not recommend staying at this location. Hilton is supposed to be better than this. I was not pleased and will never stay at this location again.

Poor first impressions. We showed up for a one night stay. First off the main door is broken and everyone has to squeeze thru. With luggage it’s a chore We arrive at the checkin desk to find an associate sitting behind on her phone. She greets us and we indicate we are here to check in. She tells us she’s the only one here and she’s on her break. She will be with us in (checks watch) 10 minutes We literally sat there watching her stare at her phone for 10 minutes. At which point she jumps up and is like “ok I can help you now” I get that people are entitled to breaks. But how do you have ONE person manning the front desk area? I don’t fully blame her but it literally took her 72 seconds to check us in…. It’s a shame cause the location is convenient. Rooms are dated tho. From the outside it looks new and modern. Inside not so much.

Great, fairly new hotel with lots of restaurants within walking distance and a short drive to campus The Good - Kitchen, living room and separate bedroom - Very clean - Staff was very nice - Breakfast included The not-so good - No waffle maker! Seems like a silly thing to mention, but my son looks forward to making waffles in these types of hotels that offer free breakfast, so not having the option was a disappointment

We only had the experience with one room type, a large room with a balcony on the second floor. I know they have smaller rooms that might have been remodeled. But having said that this room we got was dirty (dead flies, spots on the carpet all over, coffee stains on a bathroom wallet ). The heating system is a built in electric heater, quite old and fairly noisy. You can see the room was not properly updated for a while, maybe never. The bed sheets, blanket, pillows all quite sub par. We only stayed one night so did not push for a room change because of that. But I recommend you look at the room before moving in if this is possible. While the bones of this property are amazing, it needs updating.

A friend and I had just spent a lovely afternoon at the Morven Museum, the staff there suggested we try the Peacock Inn for lunch since it had ties to Morven. Curious to learn more about it we went. We valeted the car and saw many umbrella tables on the front lawn full of guests that looked like were enjoying a high tea. As we walked up the charming porch, we noticed tables and decided we would sit there. As we entered the inn, we were met with a glare from what we assumed was the front desk manager. I asked if we needed a reservation. He flatly and rudely stated that brunch ended at 2pm. We asked if they were serving lunch. He said in a completely bothered tone in a very pretentious manner that maybe, maybe they could do something like small bites, purveying in his voice that it would be a major inconvenience. We said that was fine and very much appreciated and we would be on the porch. A few minutes later a waiter appeared with a set printed afternoon menu served from 2-5. So, they did offer a set menu, there was no maybe, and we were discounted from the start. There was nothing said about their dining hours, no explanation, no apologies. We decided to leave as we felt unwelcome and looked at as a nuisance. I suggest that this manager be held accountable and relearn how to treat potential guests!

The location is very good, just across the street from Princeton University for shopping and dining, and it is convenient to walk to most buildings of the university, including the Art Museum (you must check in here, because of the rich collection, especially Chinese cultural relics, you should check in repeatedly). Check in to a 20% discount card for a restaurant on the first floor. Breakfast can also be discounted. It is a historic restaurant with good service. The hotel service is very good, but it is really a bit old, the bathtub is slippery when stepping into it, so I have to hold on to the railing. There are two blocks in the lobby, one without guests passing through. It is great to have a rest and talk about things. After leaving the room, sitting there with luggage and waiting for someone to fall asleep (jet lag) and no one would interfere.

Stayed 2 nights. LIKES: Comfortable bed Quiet Reasonable food in ”restaurant” DISLIKES: Carpet on 5th floor (see photos) in desperate need of cleaning Painfully slow elevators Poor room lighting Erratic hot water Towels akin to 150 grit sandpaper SUMMARY: This was a bit of a disappointment, considering the room rate. No excuses for the carpeting, but it also goes along with some outdated furnishings in the rooms that have seen better days. Two days later, I stayed on the 45th floor of another hotel in Niagara and it took the same time to get to that floor as it did to get to the 5th floor in this Marriott. So while there were a few things to like here, there's definitely some work to be done.

I stayed here the other night with my cat and it was so comfortable. This place is extremely quiet. It's always dead silent or close to it. I slept like a baby and didn't have the heat or fan running - that's pretty uncommon at a hotel. I was on the first floor and only heard a few little noises from upstairs. I couldn't hear any talking or footsteps. The room is enormous! It was very clean. They give you a lot of coffee and tea which I really appreciated. Also, the people at the front desk are warm and welcoming. The only negative I can think of is that the wifi is a little slow, but that's not a big deal. I chose this place randomly during a long road trip and it was such a nice respite. I highly recommend staying here. If you want a quiet and affordable hotel, this one is perfect.

I am a Hilton Honors Diamond member, and as such I do stay at various hotels across Hilton's portfolio. As I live in Central NJ, this was just a Me-cation, just getting away from home over the weekend. I had checked-in online the day before as is customary, and chose my room at that time. Upon arrival and with a digital key, I bypassed the front desk and went right to my room. I found the room to be clean and bright. There was ample room for my belongings, and the bathroom had plenty of space to put down my toiletries. It happened to be unseasonably mild outside for November, so I was able to shut down the HVAC system to avoid any noise from it, since I would need neither heating nor cooling. I did go downstairs to the lobby once to collect the bottled water I was entitled to, and found it crowded with mostly children attending some sort of party. There was water on the floor between the pool and elevator indicating people were tracking pool water throughout the hotel. It also made it slippery by the elevator. Because of the number of people around, one elevator was not enough; most hotels have at least two. Since I had chosen my room far from the Turnpike, vehicle noise was not an issue. However my room was above the main entrance so there was some human noise outside in the evening, but it was not a problem during sleeping hours. No issues with TV or Internet. Sleep quality was as good as can be for an insomniac. I partook of breakfast in the morning, and give that a great rating. Anytime one can get both scrambled eggs AND sausage at the same time at a Hampton inn, it's a plus -- often it's one or the other. I checked out the same way I checked in, via the Hilton app, and my receipt was e-mailed to me. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

This was a fantastic hotel experience! Friendly and helpful staff, very clean and lovely room, a better than average breakfast buffet, and ample free parking. They offer mobile check-in/out though not mobile key yet. One thing you may want to keep in mind is that there are a number of universities nearby and lots of sports tournaments are held in the area. I don’t know what kind of event folks were in town for this time but the lobby was hoppin’ at 10pm! Which was fine by me, however: Personally I don’t love to complain but look, I was a middle-aged lady traveling without my kids and I wanted to sleep in peace. So if there’s a loud party in my hall and it’s 11pm, I gotta call down to the front desk. The desk representative was so kind about it and apologetic and the hoopla died down shortly thereafter, so I was happy to be able to get a good night’s rest. :)))) If you can tolerate what I have described, then I definitely recommend and I would absolutely return!

I am a Hilton Honors Diamond member, and as such I like to stay in different properties throughout the portfolio. Needing a place to stay in the Trenton area, I found this Homewood Suites. The suite I reserved was much more than what I needed, but I was treating myself after a long train trip (and before another one the next day). As usual I checked in online the day before and chose the room. Upon arrival, I visited the front desk and was treated cordially and my status was recognized. The suite was huge, with three rooms each with its own TV and easy to use climate control. I only used the bathroom of the King bed suite, and it had ample counter space for my toiletries and no issues with hot water. I got a good night of sleep and was well rested to continue my activities away from home. I would definitely stay there again if in the area.

Nice stay for 2 business nights in August. Convenient location with plenty of parking. Lobby was clean and bright. Front desk staff was friendly and engaging. Room was clean and fresh and didn't have any unusual smells. The breakfast was really good. My only issue was the AC in the room which didn't work effectively. After responding to the manager's check-in email someone came and attended to the AC, but it did not work any better. This is probably the best BonVoy property in the area.
