We stayed here for 3 nights. The room was small, but not especially so by Paris standards, decor is a little dated but clean and in good condition. A TV and fridge are provided but as usual in France no tea/coffee making facilities. The bed was firm and I found it very comfortable - I have back problems and am fussy about beds. The bathroom looked like it had been recently refurbished - plenty of hot water, towels changed daily - no problems. Our window looked out onto the rather lovely church which as other reviewers have noted is prone to some enthusiastic campanology but they keep it to social hours. There is a lift which appears to be a repurposed phone booth - it says maximum 4 persons - they'd need to be friendly to the point of impropriety - 2 is a squeeze! Breakfast is a standard French cold buffet of cereals, bread, croissants and pain au chocolat along with cold meat and cheese - but the bread and pastries are good and fresh, and there's a pot of fresh coffee and a jug of hot milk which is better than the usual machines. Location is excellent, between 2 restaurants with the stairs to the Metro right by the front door. Happy to recommend this hotel. SOLD OUT

I stayed in a single room this last weekend and it's been a lovely stay in a small, budget hotel with no frills. The rooms are nice, completely equipped all the basic amenities that you may need, like a desk with plemty of storage, hangers, etc. They are all ensuite with a new and clean toilet and shower. The location of the hotel is also fantastic. Lovely little neighbourhood with the metro stop of Line 11 literally on the corner which will take you to the main attractions in about 10/15 minutes! The street has plenty of other services like restaurants, cafés, a little supermarket, a pharmacies, a couple of bakeries, etc. You can also see the Eiffel Tower from the distance! Breakfast is also available and it is served in your bedroom between 7 and 10 am, if I remember correctly, so you can have breakfast in your pyjamas :) It is a basic but filling breakfast with tea/coffee, juice, two pieces of bread and a lovely crunchy croissant. Nothing luxurious but just what you need to start the day. The only negative point is the fact that the walls are really thin and if you happen to have noisy neighbours next door it will be a real nuisance. Unfortunately the people in the room right next to mine talked at the top of their lungs and had loud music on right after midnight so I had to knock on their wall several times. Thankfully they stopped eventually and I didn't have to report or ask for a room change at reception. All in all, if you are on a tight budget and want to stay in a cheap and nice place that is well located this is definitely the hotel to go. After reading all the terrible reviews, I was worried to stay here. We stayed here as a cheap option, we arrived at 10:30AM and were in a room straight away - it is a lovely 40 min walk from the Notre Dame. The rooms are small and the walls are thin, you can literally here everything.. However, we received fresh towels everyday and they cleaned and remade the bed, the rooms were cleaned to a high enough standard (not spotless but certainly not dirty either). The breakfast is one small baguette and a croissant with a selection of packeted jams and nutella, they have a self service coffee machine and orange juice machine too, it is a small breakfast however it is something to just start the day until you get into the centre. The area around the hotel is not touristic at all! there are hardly any restaurants near the hotel so the best option is to walk (or metro,uber) to the notre dame (we found a restaurant that places live music from 5-8pm looking at the notre dame). Honestly, this hotel is not bad at all!! I’d stay here again.FromUS$48.00

We were really looking forward to our trip here (booked pre-covid) but then our flights were cancelled 3 months ago due to the pandemic. We contacted the hotel straight away but were told we had booked a non-cancellable and non-transferable room so they were not willing to let us cancel the room. We repeatedly messaged them as various quarantine rules became in force but always with the same result. I then messaged a final time this week due to the Paris curfew (ie e writhing closing at 9pm) to be told “Dear Mr. Smith, You have made a non-modifiable and non-cancellable reservation. The Scarlett hotel is still open. The curfew is from 9pm to 6am and every body must adapt to this exceptional situation. We are sorry to announce you that we can not refund or defer the booking. Best regards, The management” Several other hotels that I and my friends have booked have worked with us to try and compromise (eg take a deposit, defer through booking to 2021 etc) so I am extremely disappointed in the hotel’s attitude. “Non-cancellabe and non-refundable” do not really apply to the conditions we are all living in during 2020 so to have them thrown back in my face by a robotic reservations clerk is frustrating and insulting. Positive note first - Although the friendly staff were an asset , and BOLIVAR metro station a few paces away , area with shops banks and restaurants etc . Internally the rooms themselves and en suite shower room , staircase etc were all grubby . The bed sheets and blanket were clean - however the coverlet was not grease stains on it . No plug for sink , as faulty mechanism to operate it , no lamp bulb - in fact there it was _ it was not even wired - had wall fitting lamp fitting inside but disconnected ! . Mirrors and fittings broken or cracked / rusty - just a really sad experience. Toilet cystern had a crack in it , So in need of TLC and a deep clean everywhere , black mould on tile grout , No one had cleaned under the wardrobe or beside it ( on legs ) in months and months. A refit was said to concurrently happening on the floor above us - we saw and heard no activity like that at all - so I think it was v unlikely. Could hear rumbles of Metro beneath us - not too noisy but discernable . No Lift - . AVOID .FromUS$66.00

With an IBIS, you know things will be minimal, but I was surprised how good this place was. The location was excellent with a Mero right across the road. The rooms were small, but clean. Wifi was great. Breakfast was simple, but I got what I needed for the morning. What was particularly impressive about the hotel was a small garden out the back that you could sit out in while eating. There was a quiet air conditioning system in the room, which was welcome in the hot summer. Staff were friendly and accomodating, English was spoken by all I interacted with.FromUS$88.00

You can leave your luggage. It is convenient to walk about 6 minutes from the subway station. Next door is a supermarket, not bad. There are also many restaurants nearby. We stayed in the Residence the weekend that the Paris half marathon was cancelled. It rained a lot, but the Residence was a haven for us to rest up, dry off, and end each day with a good night's sleep. This was the quietest stay we have ever enjoyed in Paris. A warm, well designed room, with a modern cosy feel to it. We were on the 7th floor at the rear of the hotel, and we did not hear a thing at night. Slept very well. Fine views across the city. The Montparnassed tower and Notre Dame clearly visible. Excellent, attentive staff. Very competent, good English speakers, and always it seemed on duty. The breakfast room is bright, clean, spacious and modern, with a generous range of breakfast options. Try the croissants and the jams, delicious. The Residence now becomes our choice of accommodation in Paris from now on.FromUS$108.00

After reading great reviews online about this hostel for backpackers/ solo travellers, I decided to opt for this instead of Les Piaules (2nd best rated), I got a great deal with free cancellation, 4 nights for £108. This price is outstanding compared to the extremely high costs in the city centre. Only bought a carnet of 10 tickets (€14.90) which lasted me the duration of the 4 days as you can generally walk most places.
Check in for the hotel was a nightmare. As check in is around 3pm, everyone and I mean everyone was queuing to check in. The queue was out the door. This process took over 40 minutes which was ridiculous. I would recommend arriving later if possible. The rooms were nice, I stayed in a 4 bed. Plenty of room and everything was to a high standard. Loved the usb and lights in bed, loads of room and plenty of storage area. There is also lockable drawer under bed which is huge! But you need a padlock, which you can buy at reception (pricey). The restaurant in the hotel was expensive so I avoided, however they do have a lovely roof bar with a great view.
Overall, not bad. Would recommend (especially because of the location (2min to subway).FromUS$27.00

I reserved and paid in advance a non-refundable fee. Big mistake, I could have waited until the price went down by $20 ($82 to $62), which it did!. Anyhow, the hotel is clean, the lobby is tiny and the area is a little dirty (the canal has some homeless people). The elevator is not at the same level as the rooms, you have to walk few steps upstairs to get to them. There is a McDonald's across the hotel where many guys with motorcycles gather outside at night. Location: It is half a block from the Jaures metro station with good connections to Montmartre (3 or 4 lines) and other centric places. We did not have the hotel breakfast, but there is a great bakery on the right-hand side as you leave the hotel. It has great coffee and pastries. We bought bread and cider here, tomatoes on the other side of the hotel entrance (200 feet), then went to a Serrano ham store on Blvd. Saint Michel (Pierre Oteiza, Basque ham, prosciutto-like), made our own sandwiches, and voila! Picnic at The Tuileries Garden. On the left hand of the hotel, as you exit, there are several shops to buy groceries (tomatoes!) and other useful stuff (umbrellas). Overall, it was good for the price. And YES! It has decent AC, a luxury in the summer.FromUS$92.00

My husband and I stayed 7 nights here. The first night was in an standard room (#304). It was nice and clean but very small (yes, I know many hotel rooms are small in Paris). Window to the quite dull backyard. The big downside was that about 60-70cm from the bed's foot end, was the shower and toilet. Only separated with a shower curtain. No door! They had taken away all previous glass doors due to risk of accidents. Me and my husband of course know each other very well, but without any privacy in the toilet - and all "sounds" from there right by the bed, it's far from ideal. At least for us. (We had actually ordered a superior room from the booking site, but there had been an unrepairable mistake. That's why we got the standard room ... Anyway, the supernice staff made it possible to upgrade to a superior room the next day. That made all the difference in the world! Thank you for making this possible! Room 202, was just lovely. A big larger, a solid door to the bathroom (bathtub and toilet) and streetview. There's a waterkettle and mugs in each room but no tea nor coffee. Windows are well sound isolated if you keep them shut, of course. We chose to have our window open during all night. After a night or two we were not at all disturbed by the metro (not beeing underground at the Jaurés station nereby) nor the traffic and typical citynoice. Inner walls ar not as sound isolated though. There is a very small elevator in the building. It starts at the second floor to which there are 20 steps. That's where the reception is too. The staff was very kind and carried our suitcases up the stairs from/to the street. Avenue Sécretan is a lively street with "everything" you need very close and a fresh baguette is just across the hotel entrance. Location is perfect with different metro lines, the nice canal, shops, cafés and restaurants close by. Sunday is market day on the hotel street, starting quite early. This is a hotel we definitely will return to, making sure to book a superior room!FromUS$66.00

This was probably the worse hotel i have ever stayed at in my life. I was not expecting much but still a big disappointment for me. Okay lets start, first of all the Pros: 1 minute walk to the train station (Jaures) Close to the Gare du nord station (13 mins walk) Mcdonalds downstairs Cons: 1. NO FAN ( During summer months in paris July & August it gets till about 35 degrees during the day and at night its about 20 degree with humidity. They do NOT provide a single fan , i repeat DO NOT provide a fan. They expect the windows to do the job. Hello!! its so hot in the room and outside. how do you expect the wind will just cool it down if there is no wind) 2. Very noisy at night ( Since the train is so close, you could here the train running till about 2am and drunk people everywhere screaming) 3. Sketchy area ( please be careful of this side of paris, its scary) 4. Free breakfast is crap ( why have a free breakfast? if you cannot afford a free breakfast after all?) 5. The whole hotel is very old and sketchy. I did not feel safe staying here, Not being it old or anything but it just feels like theres a ghost or something. I am not sure, its scary place for me. Because of this hotel and its area i really did see the dark side of paris. Paris is beautiful just dont go to this part of the city. FromUS$66.00

The hotel location is very good, very close to the Arc de Triomphe, a five minute walk to the subway station can also take a direct bus to and from Charles de Gaulle and Orly Airport. Facilities breakfast also fully reached the four-star standard, the gym is relatively small. The front desk is more enthusiastic. There is a little brother who can speak Chinese, which makes communication more convenient.

The hotel location is very good, in the Disneyland area, only ten minutes to Disney. The hotel has a shuttle bus at any time, the service is very good and convenient! The hotel facilities and services are very good, the staff is very warm and polite, and there is a dedicated parking lot

I regret the booking of this hotel. The gentleman at the service desk when I checked in was incredibly rude and condescending throughout the process. The room was as small as expected however the beds and pillows were incredibly uncomfortable. The shower had minimal pressure. The AC whenever it was turned on left a gathering of dust over everything in my room. Whilst it is located quite a distance from the centre, there are several stations close by which is handy, unfortunately the food options close by the hotel are terrible. I left the hotel after three nights instead of the five I had booked and paid for.

Good location, nearby Carrefour, franprix and other supermarkets! I live on the 2nd floor facing the street, and it is very quiet at night, but the sound insulation between the room and the room is really average. The room is not large and has a balcony (not every room, so it is best to leave a message to tell the room with a balcony when booking) ), There is also a door in the bathroom sharing a balcony with the room, so the balcony is quite large. The hotel only provides shampoo, shower gel and hair dryer. Slippers, toothbrushes and toothpaste are not provided, so it is recommended to bring your own toiletries. Lines 7 and 10 are only 5 minutes' walk from the surrounding area. Line 4 is about 15 minutes away. The 5th district is a Latin area, surrounded by universities, so it is safe! The hotel has access control locks, staff need to help open the door to enter! Breakfast is an ordinary western-style breakfast, bread, milk, eggs, oatmeal, sausage and cheese. A tax of 1.88 euros per person per night, which must be paid to the front desk when checking out. This Ctrip will also call you when you are in China to inform you that this tax must be paid to the hotel separately! The hotel provides free wlan, but the Internet speed is average, the room has air conditioning and heating. In short, the price is high!

Disneyland
Stayed at the B&B hotel for three nights while visiting Disney. Anyone looking for a cheap place to stay this is perfect. Hotel is spotlessly clean, really friendly staff, good sized rooms with comfortable beds and shower room. The hotel serves a simple dinner of pasta or pizza which is great, easy to order and quick to come. Breakfast is simple but just want you need at the start of the day. Tables were cleared quickly and everything very clean and presented well. We were worried about the shuttle overcrowding but there are a few services which only run from the B&B hotel and others which go to the other four hotels on the complex which makes it easy. We always got on a bus even if it was busy and never had to wait long! Lockers are available to store luggage if your arrive before your room is ready or check out early. We will be back on our next disney trip!

For the first time in a hotel model, the century-old building is said to be a historical cultural relics protection unit in Paris, so it is completely banned. My old cigarette can only smoke in a small yard. Miss Luo is very enthusiastic, let us have the feeling of going home. There is a black guy in night shift who speaks Chinese very well. He said that he read a book in Guangzhou. In the morning, the girl named Marty also speaks Chinese. There is no problem at all, and at the same time give us a lot of advice on the tour, much stronger than those that are not reliable. It is very convenient to exit the subway 50 meters away. This area is a safe place for French people to live in. The room is big enough to be the floor-to-ceiling glass window in Europe. Our bedroom is very close to the yard, so the living room is a bit noisy. It is highly recommended to add a Chinese breakfast. It is really not suitable for those cheese breads, and it is better to have Chinese TV. If you have the opportunity to come back to Paris, you will still come to the Paris Residence.
