This is probably the smallest hyatt living till now, it feels like a factory remodeling and then hanging the hyatt card! No lobby is super small. The left hand is the entrance to the restaurant. The curry smell drifts all year round. The elevator is like a freight elevator. The room is very small. Although the business hotel is equipped with a small hall, the total area will not exceed 25 square meters! The socket is old, and it is easy to loosen and not charge. The only plus point may be the girl at the front desk, cheerful and enthusiastic. Been to Beijing and a little Chinese is very friendly. In addition, the hotel only has a valet parking of $ 35 / night. The public parking space on the doorstep of the hotel and on the street behind the hotel is free from 9pm every night-9am the next day is free, 2 knifes / hour after 9am. The parking lot next to the hotel is 16 knives / night, provided that the receipt from the mall next door is required to enjoy the price. Self-driving friends can choose to park on the street and go down in the morning to pay 1-2 hours of fare.

I am not one to write reviews unless there is something majorly good or bad. That being said, This is one hotel I will NEVER stay at again. We upon check in we noticed there was some nasty looking stuff in the AC, the door ro the restroom was filthy, using the toilet was a nightmare, and the blinds were poorly repaired. The toilet wouldn't flush properly, we had to ask for a plunger the first night, as we were gone to an event we asked them the next morning to repair the toilet issues. It looked like they came up and tried, however, the problem was not resolved. Mind you, we don't use an excessive amount of toilet paper. There is also a massive gap in the front door which allows cigarette smoke into the non-smoking room. The walls are incredibly thin. I also noticed that the remote had stuff on it that I was able to wipe away with a damp tissue, the floor had the same issue. Also in the restroom, the boards by the shower were not sealed there there was water seeping. With the window the way it was, it let in a lot of light while we were trying to sleep so my husband tried to close them, but didn't realize the terrible repair job and the blind fell off. I will be watching my bill to ensure there are no additional charges. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere. The only benefit, was hearing racecars from the even we are headed to.

I enjoyed it a lot and I only got to stay one night, I wish I could have stayed longer. Staff is extremely NICE and helpful, I had arrived after my check in time and naturally there's no parking, however; the manager asked a nearby hotel if they would accommodate me and they did.

Stayed here the last night of a family trip, 3/26, as we were flying out of Long Beach Airport very early in the morning. The good - Front desk clerk- very polite and attentive, no wait to check in or out, went above and beyond to provide some extra essentials for us ( I use a ridiculous amount of those little creamers in my coffee ). Shuttle service- The shuttle service to the airport was perfect. Our flight was boarding at 6:30am, and we needed to grab something for breakfast at the airport before our flight. The shuttle doesn’t start until 6 am, so we were worried. But the shuttle driver was ready to go at 5:45 when we came down to the lobby. He loaded us up, took us right to the airport, we were there before 6. He didn’t make us wait around to see if other passengers would arrive by six, he said they just make many trips back and forth to the airport, which is only 5 minutes away. When you’re rushing for a flight, the last thing you want to do is give it another 10 minutes or so to see if anyone else shows up. The driver was polite, friendly, attentive, happy to answer questions. The two reasons above are responsible for my 4 stars. To me, service and respect are EVERYTHING. No matter what else might be wrong, or go wrong, at a hotel, if you go above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable, that means more to me than anything else. The not as good- The only complaints, and they are minor, is that one restaurant was closed (the one we’d have chosen). The Mexican restaurant was open, but my daughter doesn’t eat Mexican, and I have a digestive issue and couldn’t tolerate anything spicy. Not a huge deal, we door dashed dinner. The other was that even though the pool was open until 10pm, at 6pm there was no attendant, no outdoor service, no towels at the pool, no water, nothing. It was deserted. There is usually at LEAST a station with towels and water, even if unattended. The water pressure was abysmal. This is a problem when you have two women in the room with LOTS of thick hair who need to wash and condition their hair. Overall, good hotel though, because the service we received from the people we encountered was wonderful and accommodating, and that makes up for any other minor complains, in my book. *** I wish I was better with remembering names, but the man at the front desk around 6pm on Saturday 3/26, with curly dark hair, was super polite and very gracious, couldn’t have been more helpful. 5 stars for him. And the man driving the shuttle on the morning of 3/27 at 6am was very efficient, polite, and accommodating. Five stars for him, too! It was a little chilly, so I understand there weren’t many people going to the outdoor pool, and it’s mainly a business hotel, but if you offer a pool, at least attend to it.

This hotel is easy to find, and beautiful! My sister and I stayed here the night before our cruise out of Long Beach. The room was beautiful, there is a gorgeous pool, outside fire pit and nice bar area. They have snacks available at the bar. The chicken wings were delicious. There are also a couple fast food places within walking distance. Everyone was friendly and helpful. When we checked in, we told them our appointment time at the port and they had a cab waiting for us to get there on time. It only took about 10 min. to get to the port. We had one tiny hiccup in our stay and were compensated without question. We will stay here again, and tell everyone we know how amazing this property is!!

The hotel environment is very good, dining on the beach. There are long scenic paths along the coast to enjoy. Sitting on a sofa by the water during the day is great! There are flames at night. The floors are not too high, and it is convenient to go up and down. Next time I go, I will choose here.

Wanted a local getaway and came here. Our studio room was as expected...clean and stocked kitchen if we wanted to cook. Loved the teatree shampoo and lemon soap. The sheets on my bed must have been old as the corners kept popping off on both side. Had to continually fix the corners in the middle of the night. Breakfast was pretty good. Wish the waffle maker was out instead of the soggy pancakes and waffles they put out. Breakfast wasn't always ready on time...the 1 morning they were 10 minutes late and still wouldn't allow access to the 3 people waiting. Items available varied by time of the morning. Staff was friendly...front desk always had multiple people working it.

I have stayed at many ESA properties over the past 20 years nationwide. I have to say that most of the staff at this location is very friendly. The manager has all doors set to exit only instead of your keycard being able to open the doors from the outside, this is a very good part of town so there shouldn't be a problem about security. It makes it very inconvenient when you are bringing in your luggage or groceries since you have a kitchen in your room. During my 5 plus weeks at this property I have had cockroaches in my room from time to time. The tells me that they do not monitor the cleanliness of the rooms. They aren't providing maid service unless you ask for it about 2-3 days ahead of time. The is one maid that is the most rude person I have dealt with in the hospitality industry in many years. If you say hello to her, she just looks at you. She was cleaning the entry floor in the lobby and I said to her that is a never ending job, she never even acknowledged my existence. It is very apparent the she needs to find a different job as I doubt that any one tips her for her service. Another guest told me he was moving because of bed bugs that he found in his room. The breakfast consists of blueberry muffins, granola bars or instant oatmeal. Coffee is limited to light, no medium or full roast. They never have sugar, only sugar substitute which I am allergic to.

I just completed a 9 day stay at this property. It is a very clean hotel and the rooms are modern. Having said that, I do feel that the hotel management is taking advantage of the Coronavirus pandemic by not providing any housekeeping service for guests, regardless of length of stay. I have been working and traveling steadily since the pandemic occurred. Every other hotel that I have stayed at has reduced the frequency of housekeeping service to guest rooms to every other day or 2 or 3 times a week at the least. I was always informed of this when I checked in. I was not informed that this Homewood Suites was not providing any housekeeping service to any guest when I checked in. It was only when my room had not been serviced for 2 days that I had to go up to the front desk (they never once answered the phone the entire time I was there)to inquire what was happening with housekeeping. The lady at the front desk confirmed that no housekeeping service was being provided and gave me a large trash bag to put my accumulated trash in. I was never informed as to whether I was receiving a discount on my room rate because no housekeeping was provided. Even though the hotel was far from full occupancy, I was also being charged $12/day for parking, which I had no issue with. Had I known this hotel had eliminated all housekeeping service, I would have stayed elsewhere. I work 10 to 12 hours a day and hate coming back to a dirty hotel room. I am a long time Diamond member and feel some housekeeping service should have been provided

On a recent vacation my husband and I were flying from LGB to OGG and needed a place to stay the night before our flight, in both directions. We stayed at this hotel for each. The pick up service at the airport was prompt and the distance between this hotel and the airport is not far. Our checkin procecure was efficient and the personnel assisting us were friendly and welcoming. Since we had an early departing flight we did not eat any of the breakfast food so I can't review that aspect, but I can mention that our room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. And, the shuttle to take us back to the airport was handy with barely any wait time at all before departing. We would definitely stay here again if we were to book flights using LGB. The only reason I did not give this hotel five stars is because on one of our trips from the airport to the hotel we found the male driver to be very unprofessional and unconcerned at all that his customer (me) was too short to easily step up into the shuttle van. The van was a rental for temporary use while the hotel's usual shuttle van was being serviced. There was no step stool to assist and it's pretty awkward to have a hotel guest have to struggle to board the shuttle when she's a senior citizen nursing a total knee replacement. Additionally, when the shuttle arrived to pick us up at the airport we were standing where we were told to wait but the driver parked much farther back from the standard pick up area. My husband walked to the shuttle and asked the driver to drive a bit farther where his wife was, with all our luggage. The driver would not offer that assistance, now would he help us schlep our bags toward his shuttle. In short, we found the shuttle service upon one of our arrivals to be a situation where we questioned how this person could be asked to represent his company/employer. Whenever we had other shuttle drivers, the service was very professional and understanding and we certainly want to give a thumbs up to the two ladies who shuttled us appropriately. This is a really really comfortable hotel with a lot going for it. Givie it a try!
