0.83km from Rachi European University InstituteMy wife and 3-year-old daughter stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, on a stopover as we were returning from a trip to Dordogne. I chose ibis mainly because of the underground parking which was directly accessible from the hotel. On our outward journey, we stayed at ibis styles as the ibis web site indicated that there was no room available. ibis styles and Mercure share the same underground parking facility, but these two hotels are not directly connected. So you have to walk a bit from the hotel, which is inconvenient when it's raining and when you have to carry a lot of luggage. I booked our room at ibis almost 3 months in advance. I was never advised, however, that there would be a conference ongoing which led to the entire parking garage to be closed off to hotel guests. I was therefore only able to park in the garage one night, and had to park in the paid parking lot behind the hotel. Aside from the inconvenience of having to park in the open-air parking lot, I was concerned about the security of our car and its contents as it was filled to the brim with our belongings for an 11-night stay in Dordogne. It was too much of a hassle to bring everything down to the hotel. This hotel was also not responsive to emails. I emailed in advance to request for the access code to the parking garage so I wouldn't have to step out of the car and collect the code from the reception upon arrival. I had to call in order to obtain the code. Upon checking in, I also requested for additional hangers. I had a number of moist clothes which I wanted to hang, as our last few days in Dordogne were rainy and the clothes did not dry sufficiently. The lady at the check-in counter could not be bothered to gather at least a few more hangers. She simply explained that there was a number of hangers allotted per room, so it would not be possible to provide additional ones. As other reviewers have pointed out, there is a constant hum in the hallway that permeates into the rooms. If you're a light sleeper, this can be bothersome. This hotel also did not note my request. I specifically requested a room that was not facing the street and that was far from the lift, but the room provided was exactly that. There was also a large tear on the leatherette upholstery of the sofa bed in the room. All in all, I would recommend that people stay at ibis styles instead of this ibis hotel. At ibis styles, our room had a proper bathroom rather than the capsule-style ibis bathroom, and they even had a wheel of fortune-type game for our daughter which won her a plastic bowl. Their breakfast was until 11 a.m., while at ibis it was only until 10 a.m. The dining area at ibis styles is also much larger and much more pleasant, as it faces a canal. In the summer, diners can sit in the terrace outside overlooking the canal. The climate control system at ibis styles was also much better, providing both air-conditioning and heating in mid-October.
