Breakfast is very good. The chef orders it now: omelet, shredded cheese, vegetables, mushrooms, etc. It's great. Other kinds of bread, fresh juice coffee tea. Meat has sausages, bacon. Peach apple, cantaloupe, pineapple and other fruits, a kind of Danone fruit yoghurt. All in all, including early value

Location: quiet, on the outskirts of the city. Perfect. Booked: On the hotel homepage the room was the most expensive. About booking the Comfort room should cost 103 Euros (free upgrade), the price was actually only at 96 Euros. For this I (I believe) only got the standard room. Nix Upgrade. Hotel and rooms: top. Friendly reception, fast check-in, parking outside the house free. Restaurant booking was made (in which of the two restaurants was not told me at Check In) Restaurant: I asked and was referred to the ”Rustique”. But there was no place to make my reservation, a place was found next to the theke (suboptimal). Broad and fresh cheese came only after the pre-feeding. This was a spare soup with little spare and a lot of oxy cream. Unusual and too expensive for the performance (smack and amount of sparely) too (more than 7 euros). Spargel with pig cutting around 28 euros was ok. In sum I had expected more from the restaurant. Maybe I was on my expectation. Rooms: There was very good, air conditioning worked, unfortunately I was too stupid to be able to stop it at night. Costs unnecessary energy. There you have to work on the controlability (explanation). However, windows on ensured cool temperatures. Breakfast: That was ok, the boxes were on the staff and on the coffee. The touch was tetrapack? It looked like that, otherwise diversity was ok. Coffee was from the thermoscane (standing on each table) and what was not OK is that used tables were really defectly recreated. The cart was cleared, but grumels remained lying and recreated not even. Conclude: a really good house for a cheap price!

The hotel is only 2 stars but it deserves many more. We visited Dortmund and stayed at the Ibis City hotel. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious. Mine is a disabled room and extremely roomy. Using a wheelchair in hotel rooms is usually a nightmare but this was perfection. I had so much space to manouevre around in without any difficulty whatsoever. The lift too is romy enough for 2 wheelchairs and standing room too. Continental breakfast is available and the staff are all absolutely lovely. Extremely helpful and obliging. The only downside is they don't do evening meals but do provide simple toasted sandwiches and other snacks. After a long day around the city, a toasted sandwich is perfect. They still deserve more stars!

The hotel is very good, the first time I booked the suite is good, the second time because I did not book a business room, I found that the business room orientation is the front of the hotel, the standard room orientation is close to the high speed on the back of the hotel, but the sound insulation is not too noisy, hotel parking If the indoors are 20 euros, the open-air gate is 10 euros, and there is a parking lot next to the hotel's open-air parking lot. It is 7 euros, but this parking seems to be unattended. The first afternoon to go there, I did not see the management staff. A cabin was closed. After checking out the next morning, I saw that someone was waiting to collect the money. It felt like it was cheap but not safe.

Hello! There are a night here and have booked 2 double rooms. The location is quite quiet and about 10min. away with the car of StarlightExpress. To the rooms ...ie are well equipped and there is a coffee machine. The rooms are clean and partly renovated. But three stars are too much ....I think. The bathrooms are “Oldcool” and the amatöörs of quite awful waste. Very difficult. Also, from the quoted paytv wasn't really what to see. A chaos of television programs. The reception was very friendly and helpful. The bar is mega and offers everything you need to drink! 😁 Summary: for one two nights in order but under 3 stars I understand something else. Nevertheless, it is not bad but it is expandable!

Dorint hotel is a very good place to stay. Even in this pandemic period, management is making great efforts to create conditions to have a “normal” breakfast, also with option to take away. Other take away main meals are also available to eat on the room, to avoid going outside. All this in a very safe environment with cleaning sprays and alerts everywhere. All staff members are great and very friendly! We feel very welcome here!

Good front desk service, poor breakfast service! I have been to Germany on business several times, and I have never seen such a waiter. I would video with my family in the morning. I used headphones and talked for a while. A male waiter nodded my arm and called me quiet! Because I am alone and abroad, I don't want to have any security risks. I endured it and hung up the video. By the way, the restaurant is not very big. The top few foreigners diagonally across from me are also talking, and I can hear them. Two people at the table next to me are also talking. My voice is about the same height as theirs. I am a Chinese, so call me quiet? Really the first time I met! Stayed for two nights, I didn't eat breakfast here the next day, really a very poor waiter. Of course most of the foreigners I met are still very friendly!

Need an average hotel? This is your place. We spent two nights here to take in the Christmas market in Dortmund and the surrounding areas. Husband loves Coffee Fellows, so I thought, why not stay here? We arrived via train and were able to walk to the hotel with no problem. Checking-in was a different story. The reception desk is in the back of the store. Did it have a sign saying ”Check-in here!”--I have no idea and if they did, it wasn't memorable. We stood around this random desk as no one was manning it. About 5 minutes later, a lady appeared to help us. She wasn't welcoming. Told us that we couldn't check-in since our room wasn't ready--which was fine since we were okay with dropping our luggage and exploring the city. She left the luggage behind the desk....which, I wouldn't really say was in a safe area since the desk was literally just that--a desk in the store. Anyway, we left to explore the city. Came back hours later and were given our room key. Room was HUGE, which was nice. Windows opened to allow fresh air in which was great. Bed was comfortable with nice linens and pillows. Bathroom was clean with fresh towels. However, the bathroom fan literally runs for 20 minutes after you shut off the light in the bathroom and is ridiculously loud. It sounds like you are in an airplane hell for 20 minutes after the light goes out. We took showers and flooded the bathroom. Now, we've lived in Europe now for awhile and stayed at many hotels and know that the glass divider in the shower doesn't block all the water, but this was a literal flood of the bathroom. We told the front desk who said they'd look at it. Did they? Nope. We ended up taking a shower with reduced pressure so as to not walk around in a flooded bathroom. We had coffees in the evening here and they were good. Check-out was easy. Hard to find a person in the morning at the ”reception desk” to take the key and give us a receipt. Seriously??? Would we stay here again? Nope. Improve your customer service, be welcoming and friendly to your guests. This left a bad taste in our mouth.

When I went there happened to be an exhibition, the location was very good, very close to the subway and the city center, the room was obviously just renovated, the smell is a bit, so the window is open during the day, I think I will stay again next time . In short, the city is very small, and this hotel is cost-effective.

The location is very good, downstairs is a supermarket, you can buy food and drink. Room facilities are quite new, usually need to pay more than ten euros early, but the breakfast is very rich. The only fly in the ointment is that the house price is more crazy. It took more than 700 days in the past few days. Today, I lived for a thousand and eight years. I don’t understand it.

Stayed here December 2019 to see the Christmas market. The hotel is clean, beds were comfortable. Traditional German breakfast, in a nicely decorated breakfast room. We travelled in a group and had 6 rooms, so got to compare. No two rooms were identical, each had its pros and cons. Decor in most rooms was dated and basic. Rooms facing the street were a bit noisy, rooms facing the courtyard were very quiet, but no view. Some of the bathrooms needed updating. Some had only a bathtub, no shower. We all had double rooms, but saw some single rooms that did not have an en-suite, but a shared bathroom down the hall. Wi-Fi only worked in the lobby. Helpful and friendly staff. The bar across the street is great! Lots of locals, not touristy at all. All in all I would recommend this hotel if you just need a reasonably priced place to sleep in the city centre. Just be sure to ask for a room with an en-suite if you don’t like a shared bathroom.

Booked this place as it was cheap and handy for the autobahns, not expecting very much in terms of luxury given the price. And we weren't disappointed, the room really could do with a refurb, nothing dirty or uncomfortable, but everything in it looking very tired. That said, the old style bathroom was better in design than a lot of new ones, and it isn't of the plastic one piece you sometimes find in Ibis. However, we loved it here. All the staff were great, nothing was a hassle either with the stay or finding the place, and there is a cool backdrop of BVB's stadium you can get a pic of. Would definitely return, the place is tired, but it's not expensive, it's easy to get to and the staff are great

The hotel is very distinctive. People often come to take wedding photos in the lobby. It is not very far from the train station. It takes about 10 minutes to walk.
