I just stayed overnight at work, but I was very satisfied. When I told my name at the front desk, he gave me the key immediately after measuring the temperature. The explanation of the large communal bath was completed in about 1 minute. The room was clean, and there were separate tables and chairs for work, as well as a small table for drinks and a dedicated chair. I don't feel inconvenienced. The springs in the bed are comfortable and you can sleep well. Most of the time, when you are in the bathtub at any hotel, you will notice dirt around the back of the washbasin. This was not the case. The water pressure in the shower is too strong. You can hear the sound of water pipes at midnight, but it's not enough to disturb your sleep. Anyway, it's a quiet environment, so I walk about 7 minutes from the station, but I'm glad I decided here. Next time I would like to use the restaurant.

It's a decent place with the rooms being very clean despite the lobby carpet looking a bit old. The room is also very big and spacious so you can spread out and relax. The shuttle bus from the station was appreciated since we had large bags and the whole staff was very kind, especially the one who helped us with dinner. The food was SO GOOD! The meat they gave us for the mini shabushabu was delicious and the fish was yummy. Dinner was in our room while breakfast was in the conference hall on the first floor which was nice because the small lake outside was visible while you ate. The breakfast and dinner were both really filling and you can guarantee you'll be stuffed after. The hot spring was on the top floor and very peaceful as we had no one there to share it with. Overall because there's nothing to really do around the hotel, this is more of a getaway place to just relax, eat some good food, then go back home.

A new renovation Hotel which is close to JR & Hanshin train station, just 3 or 5 mins by walk, easy to found and accessible even with luggages, many restaurants and shops around, no worry about for eat, however, what a pity that the room there are small, of which the furniture inside are old, believed that were used over 15 years.

Kobe Seishin Oriental Hotel reviews Reviews 3.8 Good 414 reviews on Google Couples 4.3 Families 4.2 Business 4.1 Solo 4.3 All reviews Most relevant Newest Highest rating Lowest rating Khaine Smith - EDIT 1/5 They call this a 4 star hotel, it's not. First off, it is far away from Kobe and shouldn't even be listed as in Kobe. It's a long train ride into Kobe and an expensive taxi ride back if you miss the last train. Next up, they list that there is a pool and gym etc. There are but you'll pay to use it all. There is nothing about that in booking and they gave some bs story about some packages have it. I didn't see one. And when I questioned them about it and to show me my reservation, they tried to hide it since it said nothing of the sort. The room itself could use some updating as well. Even stains on the carpet. For the same price of staying at the Kobe Seishin Oriental hotel, plus paying for amenities which is a lie on the booking sites, you could stay at a better place that is more in Kobe. It was my wifes birthday and I was visibly upset but did the staff offer up anything in anyway to fix the situation. They just said thank you. Thanks for being a sucked is more like it. Never stay here. Much better places can be found and I've stayed in many.

First of all, I’m a bit surprised to read about bad review and old rooms and hotel. Stayed here for 6 nights for business in Kobe. Checked in, and my room was on the 9th floor. Good view, large and very pleasant. I called ahead to make sure that I got a real non-smoking room as I have an allergy. I always do that, and believe it works should you hate the smell of smoke. Bed was pleasantly big, I would say a semi double. Room and bathroom was big by Japanese standards too, (I’ve stayed in quite a few). Hotel is not so far from the bright lights of Sannomiya and about 3 minutes walk to Hyogo Station. Everything is accessible from there. Lots of restaurants and places to buy things close to the hotel. They have a coin laundry with 3 machines and 3 dryers just outside in the car park. Detergent can be obtained free, from reception. The washers are ¥200 and the dryers ¥100 per 30 minutes. Breakfast is plentiful and a combination of Japanese and Western. After 5 days, I’d had enough, basically the same food everyday. Breakfast staff generally friendly, but I had an incident with an elderly Japanese member off staff, who was incredibly rude to me. I speak Japanese and she was rude, disappointing. Something a little odd about this hotel. Everyday, I returned around 3:30 in the afternoon and my room still was not cleaned on 2 occasions. Mentioned it to the staff, and the issue was resolved. Think some of the staff speak English but didn’t try. Bedroom walls are not the thickest and the door doesn’t keep out the noisy neighbors. Would I stay here again? Probably, I paid for an extra night after my work as it was cheap and good. Rates go up on a Saturday night, double the price. Tip: There’s a lovely bakery close to “Daikai” subway station if you turn right out of the hotel, walk straight, get to the station entrance and you will see it close by, named “revolted”. Nice pastries and sandwiches to take away should you need. Also, there’s a restaurant called “Osho” right next to the hotel, they do good fried dumplings and have a picture menu. Check out the “Okonomiyaki” restaurant round the corner as well. Out the hotel, turn left, go one block, left again. Enjoy.

We had booked a private double room and I was amazed at the size of it. I was happy that it was Japanese style. Very comfortable bed, table in case you want to have a picnic in the room from Seven Eleven :) and bathroom facilities very clean. Also you have a free drink included with your stay - alcoholic or non alcoholic (we have not used ours though). The common parts of the hostel are so dark that it can give an impression it is not so clean, but to be honest I have not really checked. It is a little hidden and might be difficult to find.

Economy room was very nice, you can borrow bathsalt by the reception and barhtub fits 2 normal size ppl. Good lay out of the room, 2 cups and 2 glasses, plus 2 plastic ones in the bathroom. All the toiletteries are there except cotton pads. Do remember 1 most important thing - to switch off the main light you have to use the remote control, the one this a big round yellow button, the yellow is to switch on, beside it the smaller white is to switch off, the small lamps are operated by the normal switches. You can find info in information folder in the room!

I was able to stay at a great deal with the GoTo Travel Campaign! Speaking of Kobe, this hotel came to my mind first, but I was sure to choose it! The room was open with a deck, and the breakfast was delicious with a buffet. I wish I had a latte or cappuccino. There was a shuttle bus for guests every 20 minutes to Sannomiya station, so there was no inconvenience. I haven't stayed in Kobe for a long time, but it was a wonderful and memorable stay! Thank you 😊

Located at the port of Kobe this Hotel is at a location with great view to the port. On foot easy to reach the Mosaic at the port with many restaurants and bars, but also only 15 minutes walk to Sannomiya the city center of Kobe. I also like this Hotel because the rooms are really spacious and not like typical Japanese business hotels. As part of their health club they also have a 25m standard indoor swimming pool, sauna and hot Japanese bath, outdoor pool, tennis court, etc.. The breakfast is rich and has western and Japanese food to offer. The Japanese restaurants both are excellent and provide good service, but unfortunately close quite early, so late night dinner not possible. Most of the staff speak good English. A little disadvantage is that you cannot earn points on their loyalty program when booked through an agent. All in all a very good hotel and worth the money.

The b kobe has definitely exceeded my expectations by a lot. Just steps away from the W3 exit. There is no escalator to ground level if you are taking a train with luggages. The tip is to use the life inside tokyu hands. Save us lots of energy trying to carry out luggages up the steps. Location was a plus point as it is in Sannomiya. Lots of food places that are open till late. don quijote is just next door. Super accessible and convenient for travelers. The room size was good, bed was comfortable and toilets were specious and clean. Nothing to fault and we had a wonderful stay.

The location is not far from the station. It is located in the quiet old town and calms down. There is no problem with cleanliness. Security is also solid. The staff is extremely disappointing. First of all, I have a business at the front desk and even if I call from the extension, I don't even get out. What do you do in an emergency? Not limited to that, the reception is very poor, which I can't think of as a Japanese hotel. Amakudari destination for civil servants? is it. It doesn't seem to be educated as a hotel man at all, and it's terrible.

My husband and I loved everything about this hotel. It was one of the most beautiful hotels that we have ever stayed in. Perfect in every way. We spent three nights in a deluxe harbour view king room. The room itself was very spacious, beautifully decorated, clean and had a wonderful view of the harbour. To top things off it had a nespresso machine and a complimentary mini bar that was refilled every day. The public spaces were very atmospheric and conveyed a past era perfectly. We loved the bar with its amazing views. Although not on the menu the bartender made me a perfect negroni ( OK more than one). One evening we ate in the restaurant and found the food to be delicious. The service at the front desk, in the bar and in the restaurant was impeccable. The room attendants did an excellent job. We thought that our room, the bar and the restaurant all represented excellent value for money. Neither my husband nor I could find a single fault with the Oriental Hotel. Even better, the Oriental Hotel's location in Kobe cannot be beat. I am so pleased that we discovered this very special hotel. Highly recommended!!

Our 5 night stay here was exceptional. We were given a large room that faced onto a construction site but a request to move to the other side of the building was accommodated. While this meant a smaller room we were much happier with views over the Ikuta Shrine. The location is great, with easy walking access to Sannomiya train station, and other city highlights. The buffet breakfast was superb, with sooo many options and constantly replenished by attentive staff. The main man at breakfast was so good at his job and so friendly, it was a highlight of my day to see his smiling face. Seems to be a hotel used by tour groups, as one time we had to wait to enter breakfast due to a large influx of people. As others have mentioned, the rooms are small and there is not much space for hanging or storing clothes but we managed fine. Daily servicing of rooms was appreciated and we always felt comfortable and looked after. Thank you for our stay.
