We had booked a private double room and I was amazed at the size of it. I was happy that it was Japanese style. Very comfortable bed, table in case you want to have a picnic in the room from Seven Eleven :) and bathroom facilities very clean. Also you have a free drink included with your stay - alcoholic or non alcoholic (we have not used ours though). The common parts of the hostel are so dark that it can give an impression it is not so clean, but to be honest I have not really checked. It is a little hidden and might be difficult to find.

A great location in a quiet suburb, just minutes away from KOBE JR station, It is very convenient and can be reached by the underground subway direct to the hotel passing many shops and restaurants. We were very lucky & received a large room with two queen size beds in it plus all the normal amenities one would expect. There is a ‘Lawson’ shop on the ground floor with a major supermarket less than 50 m away A great base with good connections

Even before we arrived, we were made to feel welcome by the staff at Centurion Hotel Grand Kobe Station. Several days before our visit, we received an kind email confirming our reservation and providing check-in details. Upon arrival, we were greeted with friendly smiles. Check-in was quick and smooth. All of the staff we encountered spoke excellent English, and we were provided written instructions in English as well. Our room was comfortable and very clean. The air conditioning worked very well. From our window, we could see the Kobe train station, the Kobe skyline, and the Minatogawa Shrine. This was a great location with easy access to several different train lines. The room was a bit small by American standards, but worked fine for 2 people for 3 nights. The great location was worth it.

I traveled to Kobe for work, and spent 4 nights in this hostel. I just want to say that it was a really good experience and that I totally recommend it. The location is very good, super-close to Kobe station, and it has a supermarket and "conbini" at less than 10 min and 2 minutes walk respectively. The rooms are great, I was expecting the typical shared room with bunk beds and I found myself in a kind of wood capsule bed with much more intimacy, what was a great surprise. Also, it was very hot in Kobe, but the hostel room was always fresh and comfortable, and everything was very clean. The hostel environment and design is also really nice, in the lobby always great music, and loads of magazines and info for traveling around. In the upper floor it has a very cool terrace, ideal for chilling out and making friends. Another great plus is that I could rent a bike for only 500 yen per day, to go to my workplace, and thanks to that I realized that the hostel is just at 10-15 minutes walk of the nicest area in Kobe, that is the harbor, that you should definitely visit at night if you have the chance. Finally, I also want to say that the staff was charming. They are quite good in English, and they try to help you with whatever you could need. Actually, during my stay, another client came to the hostel at night thinking he had lost his passport there, and the staff member that was in the hostel in that moment spent about 1-2 hours of his time (this issue happened after the reception closed), helping this person to find his passport calling to the police and the train station to explain them the problem in Japanese. I totally recommend this place to everybody that wants to enjoy Kobe with few money and feeling like at home!

Economy room was very nice, you can borrow bathsalt by the reception and barhtub fits 2 normal size ppl. Good lay out of the room, 2 cups and 2 glasses, plus 2 plastic ones in the bathroom. All the toiletteries are there except cotton pads. Do remember 1 most important thing - to switch off the main light you have to use the remote control, the one this a big round yellow button, the yellow is to switch on, beside it the smaller white is to switch off, the small lamps are operated by the normal switches. You can find info in information folder in the room!

It was a trip to my father and an 8-year-old child who loved railways. I chose this hotel because it is a superior hotel, but the price is almost the same as a budget-friendly hotel. I felt it was a good hotel for small children. A trip with children is an endless worry. For example, if my child is noisy, if I fall in the rain while holding my child's luggage, if my child dislikes eating at the hotel, if my child gets dirty, and so on. This hotel can ease these worry. First, the rooms are spacious and spacious, with solid walls. If there is not much noise, it seems that there is no need to bother the next room. Second, you can get there from JR Kobe Station and other stations without getting wet. Third, there are some fast food restaurants, buffet restaurants and sweets cafes nearby. And you can buy groceries at supermarket "Gyomu Super". And If you don't have enough children's clothing, you can visit nearby apparel stores such as Nishimatsuya and Shimamura. If you want romantic, this hotel has some disadvantages. For example, there are places where equipment repairs are not perfect. Even on higher floors, the night view is not fantastic. But those shortcomings are not important for us. We used optional spa and were able to spend comfortably.

I’ll start with the positives. The staff here were really helpful and friendly. The guy on the desk helped me with information on a travelpass to get to Himeji and in general was really nice. The location is good (don’t bother eating in china town though - the street food isn’t good at all). The beds are fairly large - there’s a lot of space in the capsule and it’s private from the other bunks. There’s a locker inside as well as a light, and space next to the bed for a rucksack and things. The temperature was good for me. It didn’t get too hot and there were some fans to stop it getting stuffy. The cons. The bed was very thin and not hugely comfortable. The pillow was hard. The other guests were very inconsiderate. I’m sick of staying in mixed dorms - I’m trying to keep an open mind but without fail, the men are extremely inconsiderate. The women are usually very quiet and will move quietly if they’re coming in late. On my last night, a guy came in at 2am and stomped around, did some unpacking, kept opening and closing his curtain (which is on a runner that made noise), kept coming in and out of the dormitory, using the hair dryer... the list goes on. Between 2-2.30am in the morning!!! It’s so inconsiderate. It’s sad to end the review on a negative and honestly the hostel can’t help it as they understandably can’t really have someone on the desk all night to enforce their ‘quiet’ rule. But I wanted to be honest and my final night there sucked.

We stayed in an executive deluxe double room and couldn’t believe the room when we saw it. We had to double check what we paid for it as it seemed so plush and huge. It is very good value for money. The rooms are very tasteful. It was corner room with expansive views of harbour, comfy seating, comfy beds. Great toiletries, everything one could think of was offered. Wifi worked well, room was very quiet. Bath was huge and water stayed hot. Tea on offer was great with nice ceramics. Service was great. The only downside was it got a bit annoying to walk to the stations each time as it’s not so close to the stations but still ok with a 12 minute walk but transfers are needed. I think the hotel may be too small for a shuttle bus. When we arrived we were also given $100 to spend in their restaurants etc which was. Bonus. The breakfast was fine but not something I would ordinarily pay for. The hotel is part of the chain of leading small hotels of the world and this one is really great and we would stay here again if in Kobe. It is very plush and luxurious.

The location is slightly off, and the nearest convenience store is a 5 minute walk. However, the hotel has a shuttle bus to Sannomiya, which is very convenient until 10 o'clock at the latest. The size of the room is normal in Japan, and the 26-inch box can be spread out. A ten-minute walk from the 100-year-old Dajing Meat Shop, which is the earliest operating Kobe beef, the package at Noon's working day is extremely good. The top Kobe beef (Kobe beef is a famous name for Dajing, and it is not required to be certified, so there is no so-called A5) The roast set meal is only 9000 yen, and the meat quality and taste are excellent. A sukiyaki pot is under the belly and dinner is saved.

I was able to stay at a great deal with the GoTo Travel Campaign! Speaking of Kobe, this hotel came to my mind first, but I was sure to choose it! The room was open with a deck, and the breakfast was delicious with a buffet. I wish I had a latte or cappuccino. There was a shuttle bus for guests every 20 minutes to Sannomiya station, so there was no inconvenience. I haven't stayed in Kobe for a long time, but it was a wonderful and memorable stay! Thank you 😊

Located at the port of Kobe this Hotel is at a location with great view to the port. On foot easy to reach the Mosaic at the port with many restaurants and bars, but also only 15 minutes walk to Sannomiya the city center of Kobe. I also like this Hotel because the rooms are really spacious and not like typical Japanese business hotels. As part of their health club they also have a 25m standard indoor swimming pool, sauna and hot Japanese bath, outdoor pool, tennis court, etc.. The breakfast is rich and has western and Japanese food to offer. The Japanese restaurants both are excellent and provide good service, but unfortunately close quite early, so late night dinner not possible. Most of the staff speak good English. A little disadvantage is that you cannot earn points on their loyalty program when booked through an agent. All in all a very good hotel and worth the money.

The b kobe has definitely exceeded my expectations by a lot. Just steps away from the W3 exit. There is no escalator to ground level if you are taking a train with luggages. The tip is to use the life inside tokyu hands. Save us lots of energy trying to carry out luggages up the steps. Location was a plus point as it is in Sannomiya. Lots of food places that are open till late. don quijote is just next door. Super accessible and convenient for travelers. The room size was good, bed was comfortable and toilets were specious and clean. Nothing to fault and we had a wonderful stay.

The location is not far from the station. It is located in the quiet old town and calms down. There is no problem with cleanliness. Security is also solid. The staff is extremely disappointing. First of all, I have a business at the front desk and even if I call from the extension, I don't even get out. What do you do in an emergency? Not limited to that, the reception is very poor, which I can't think of as a Japanese hotel. Amakudari destination for civil servants? is it. It doesn't seem to be educated as a hotel man at all, and it's terrible.

My husband and I loved everything about this hotel. It was one of the most beautiful hotels that we have ever stayed in. Perfect in every way. We spent three nights in a deluxe harbour view king room. The room itself was very spacious, beautifully decorated, clean and had a wonderful view of the harbour. To top things off it had a nespresso machine and a complimentary mini bar that was refilled every day. The public spaces were very atmospheric and conveyed a past era perfectly. We loved the bar with its amazing views. Although not on the menu the bartender made me a perfect negroni ( OK more than one). One evening we ate in the restaurant and found the food to be delicious. The service at the front desk, in the bar and in the restaurant was impeccable. The room attendants did an excellent job. We thought that our room, the bar and the restaurant all represented excellent value for money. Neither my husband nor I could find a single fault with the Oriental Hotel. Even better, the Oriental Hotel's location in Kobe cannot be beat. I am so pleased that we discovered this very special hotel. Highly recommended!!

Our 5 night stay here was exceptional. We were given a large room that faced onto a construction site but a request to move to the other side of the building was accommodated. While this meant a smaller room we were much happier with views over the Ikuta Shrine. The location is great, with easy walking access to Sannomiya train station, and other city highlights. The buffet breakfast was superb, with sooo many options and constantly replenished by attentive staff. The main man at breakfast was so good at his job and so friendly, it was a highlight of my day to see his smiling face. Seems to be a hotel used by tour groups, as one time we had to wait to enter breakfast due to a large influx of people. As others have mentioned, the rooms are small and there is not much space for hanging or storing clothes but we managed fine. Daily servicing of rooms was appreciated and we always felt comfortable and looked after. Thank you for our stay.
