We’re just back from our stay at L’Andana and my wife and I enjoyed it very much. My positive impression already started when we approached the property and I realized that the long straight flanked by marvellous trees is the driveway from the main road to the hotel - gorgeous! Once you arrive, you are greeted by a hostess and a porter who help unload your car and take you to the pavillon for the check in. Check in was seamless, our standard room was very nice, comfortable and with a large bath. This hotel has loads of pros: - gorgeous large property in the beautiful Maremma region - friendly staff - were able to help with almost everything including wine tastings, reservations for restaurants and beach clubs - outdoor Breakfast in the wonderful garden - very nice Michelin star restaurant - free bicycle rental to roam around the vast property eg into the vineyards - family pool and separate adult pool Additionally, every week they have a national or international celeb (eg footballer or cyclist) on site with who you can work out - really great idea. I would also like to point out the excellent job the staff did in managing the additional distance and mask requirements due to Covid. These did not affect our stay at all. Minor con was one service glitch - however that didn’t matter at all. Also, I personally found the adult pool area somewhat underwhelming but that’s probably more a matter of taste than anything else. All in all we enjoyed our stay very much and are already planning to be back later this year.

Our family who were a group of 6 adults and a 9-month-old baby came for a week in August on our annual family summer holiday. We were greeted by Eduardo, his partner Irene and Giovanna who made us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived at L’Acquacotta. Eduardo along with Irene and Giovanna could not do enough for us, most of our days were spent around the pool, whilst Eduardo would consistently offer us drinks, food etc. This was service with a smile to the highest degree and would have no hesitations in recommending this place to anyone. Breakfast was excellent as well and it felt more like staying with family rather than in a B&B due to Eduardo and co.’s hospitality. Breakfast was served on the terrace in the morning which included home baked cakes and sometimes savouries whilst you could also get a home cooked meal from Eduardo under the olive trees in the evening with both the setting and food being 5 stars (the Spaghetti alle vongole was the best I’ve ever had). The rooms are clean and spacious, and the pool area is lovely and well maintained. Eduardo had plenty of suggestions for things to do during the day either in good or bad weather. And finally, an extra bonus for dog lovers will be being greeted every day by Mela the resident dog. At the time of visiting every precaution was taken with Covid-19 to make guests feel comfortable and safe during their stay.

A very nice property in proximity of the beach. Sadly, as I arrived at 10pm, I did not have access to the beach club the next day which was my day of departure (beach club is not accessible on day of departure, even in low season.)The pool too was closed early in the morning, but that was probably to ensure no noise for the rooms that are facing that side. Very nice breakfast and, as it was off season, no crowd. Comfortable bed and a few nice touches—like the fruit and cookies with a welcome note from the owners. Overall, a lovely place and convenient for those wishing to visit Punta Ala. Rates in off season are high especially considering that I did not get access to the beach club. Excellent ac and I especially appreciated blackout curtains!

Our five-day stay got off to a poor start when we were shown our room, which was fine except that the next door bathroom was right up against the head of our bed and bathroom activities left little to the imagination. But when we asked for a change of room there was no problem at all. Our room on the third floor was quite spacious and quiet. No further complaints. The Hotel staff were absolutely outstanding, the public areas were beautiful, and the breakfast room on the fourth floor was outstanding, as was the breakfast itself (included). Everything from bacon and eggs to all kinds of delicious bread, fresh fruit, cheeses and salami and excellent coffee including your cappucino, espresso and Americano. The hotel is in a very good location, convenient for those who love the beach and equally fine for the rest of us. Many good restaurants in easy reach, and a good 20 minute walk up through the hold town to the castle and medieval churches, and a magnificant view out into the ocean. The hotel also has its own restaurant, which on Friday evenings has an extraordinarily lavish buffet. But beware, this is Italy and the first serving is at 8 p.m.

I have to say I had a brilliant time here and I cant understand why other people are complaining. We stayed in a Bungalow with my daughter and her boyfriend the second week in September. The Bungalow was very clean and modern. The air-con was good and the shower was powerful. The whole resort was clean and tidy and the staff were very helpful. The walk down to the beach took 5 minuets. The beach cafe served nice food, coffee, wine and beer at very reasonable prices. We did not pay for the sunbeds round the pool? but yes we paid for the sunbeds on the beach which we did not mind and to be honest we were charged less every day when we asked for a discount. The beach is beautiful and very clean and I felt safe with the lifeguard being there. The food in the main restaurant is exceptional and the staff are helpful and funny. We are defiantly going to book again next year. I am used to staying in 4 and 5 star hotels and I found the whole experience of the camping village refreshing, fun and relaxing:0)

We spent several days here in a caravan which we wedged into a pitch close to the beach. We were there the last week they were open in October, and the weather and lack of crowds were great! Being on a clean beach in Tuscany with great weather and access to great food and wine.... It cannot get better than that. We fell asleep nightly listening to the waves. We like this low-key style of campground without a huge animation program. I think this is reflected in what we thought was a good price. If you are looking for a five-star experience with nightly entertainment, this place is probably not for you. Not many campgrounds offer direct beach access in this price range, though. We heard a rumor that our neighbors paid only 14 euro per night for their glamping tent through an internet / phone only special. The mobile homes looked great and also had good late-season prices. The one issue with this place is, as others have noted, the bathroom situation. The showers especially are small, old and moldy. Yes, they were cleaned daily; but they still smelled bad. Only a couple of the ladies toilets had seats on them. We felt that we could deal with the restrooms considering all the other great things about this place, but we understand if others see it differently. We are not sure what this place is like in high season with noise and crowds, but we really enjoyed our stay there in October.
