What a fabulous holiday, having travelled around the world, privileged to have visited some wonderful country’s in beautiful locations and some fantastic hotels, this one for Olcote goes to the top of the list. We are as friends quite adventurous in our holiday destinations, preferring something a little bit more different than your standard package holiday and again Olcote goes to the top of the list. Why! The staff are exceptional, everyone from the ground staff, cleaners, chefs, drivers, tour guides, all lead by the main man Michael, who are just a splendid bunch of caring loving people. The hotel itself leaves nothing out for you to have a completely wonderful experience, little touches like the self-service bar, abundance of music CD, s, fab assortment of teas, selection of toiletries that includes calming balm, tooth brushes and toothpaste, mosquito repellent, bath robes and even flip flops. The bedrooms are spacious with very comfortable beds, superb bathroom facilities, air con and overhead fan, cleaned every day to a high standard, with linen changed regular. Food is good to exceptional, the Chef’s put a lot of effort into dishes provided we opted along with the group staying to have Sri Lankan food and we were never disappointed, meal times were fun enjoying the company of the other guests. All meal times we were presented with an assortment of food dishes to help yourself. And you have a lot to go at. And never disappointed. The pool and gardens are a haven for wildlife, regular visits by the monkeys, kingfishers, parrots, squirrels, Asian bird of paradise, frogs, you name it they just appear, laid back on the poolside beds watching sea eagles on the warm currents, night time fruit bats, and if you are lucky enough fire flies “amazing to watch these at night” The pool itself is great to cool off and have a decent swim, the lounge area is a welcome escape from the midday sun with a beer or gin and tonic. The trips on offer were key for us as a group to get the most out of our time to visit as many places as possible, and we were not disappointed, with help from Rishi, we planned a full on week of activity, example of our itinerary, day of arrival Monday “chill day” Tuesday trip to Colombo, Wednesday set off very early for Sigiriya with a visit to the Golden temple and finish off with a jeep safari in the Elephant reserve then off to a hotel for an overnight stay “Olcote can recommend or you can book your own” Thursday up early for a morning to Sigiriya then back home to Olcote. Friday chilled morning with an afternoon visit to Mount Lavina beach hotel, Saturday trip to Fort Galle, with a surprise stop at the Sea Turtle Hatchery, a boat ride around the mango swamps and visit to Cinnamon Island, Tsunami memorial site, then Fort Galle, Sunday leisurely morning with a Tuk Tuk ride to the supermarket to buy teas and coffees and spices Little touches that count, Rishi brought flowers for all the ladies for valentine’s day, a b

The hotel should be opened by the Chinese, using the jetwing brand and reservation system. The front of the hotel is the sea on the back of the railway. Therefore, the room must be selected clearly. If you choose to sleep badly at night, don’t live in the sea. Half of the room is a little better, with a balcony, a lot of hotel teams, from the Chinese chef, to Colombo, sitting on the sea train, not far from the door can sit, the most essential section, do not sit from Galle!

I stayed here a night with two of my flat neighbors. The good looking front office manager lady Sumudu assisted from the entrance. Starting from suggesting the best rate for a three bed room with breakfast per night. She was very helpful and friendly. She gave us a rest in First floor. The rest was so big similar to a suit and was very clean and didn’t smell bad. The private balcony has a big space too as possible to have a grill party with 6-8 pax looking forward the beach. The washroom was clean too. Swimming pool and the small garden was so relaxing where we spent a good line of time. The garden and swimming pool employee enjoyed speaking to me for hours. A very small buffet served for the breakfast tasted very good. A senior person working for the restaurant was so nice. In between our stay one on my neighbor was attitude towards Sumudu. She handled that situation calm. I’m apologize for that inconvenience. The checkout was also done by Sumudu And she gave us a pleasant good bye. I personally enjoyed the time here. Thank yout team Blue beach Wadduwa.

Initial experience wasn’t great at check-in, as the staff wasn’t giving accurate information about dinner prices, and wasn’t very friendly. There were also a few issues in the room. But the front desk was able to coordinate with their internal house keeping and engineering team to solve the problems. We were happy with their services in the end.

This time to come out to play the second best hotel cost-effective first good is jetwingblue, this is more intimate and also help me cook instant noodles, my ring fell in the room and went back to find the waiter More anxious than me, haha, if I come back, I will choose this one.

My wife and I stayed here for a couple of nights at the start of our travels around Sri Lanka. The rooms are clean with TV, WiFi & your own bathroom. It is situated in a busy market district which is full of life, smells, colour and walking distance from the street food area of “Aluth Kade” The staff where helpful and friendly and any issues (The WiFi was playing up) we’re sorted promptly. The only negative is because it is next to a mosque you may be woken by the call to prayer @5am or his doesn’t last long tho. The owners are working hard and really trying to improve the facility so from the outside and some of the inside there is evidence of building work, but don’t let this put you off. Overall this is a great option, ok it isn’t the Hilton or the Shangri-La but an excellent choice, if you enjoy the culture and vibrancy of exploring a new city, especially if you’re working to a budget. We would have no hesitation in staying here again

The first time I stayed, I really like it. #128077;, his family's wash basin has embolism, which is too necessary for a sweat-loving traveler. There is no Marino Beach Hotel across the road (I have finally used the dry washing powder in the red bottle), another good, glass balcony with super clean inside and armrests. (Marino Hotel has no way to dry clothes on the glass, I saw the photo on the balcony of the house. I also specifically asked the waiter that the glass would be wiped. The waiter was really nice and smiled. When we went out on the 1st, it rained and worried that the clothes were wet, and we found that the waiter had already hanged the clothes inside when they were hygienic. Leave the memory of the curtain. It is also good to have a spotlight on the bed with multiple lights. Breakfast is not booked, but his family's dinner is also really praised, the price is not small, the environment is praised, the first time I ordered 4 dishes and one soup, two people can't eat pizza package, tax included 6仠many. The next day, the pizza will be packed, and they will be heated and ordered two dishes and one soup, or left, 😊 Because Yushen’s swimming pool is useless, it’s a pity! I will book this home next time! Friendly reminder, you need to prepare a set of plastic clips for the line card when you go out for a trip. When I was living in Marino, I also used a special rope for drying clothes.

Been to Sri Lanka many times and am very familiar with the capital Colombo. Jetwing Seven is staying for the first time. It is located in the 3rd district of Colombo, not far from various places, and it is very convenient to travel. Opposite is a shop, which is open until 11 pm. It is more convenient to buy daily necessities, drinks and fruits. In addition, the hotel environment is good, very quiet, and the service is very warm. Breakfast is Western style + local, because I am often abroad and love curry, I think the breakfast is good. There is a swimming pool and gym on the roof, elegant environment, and a bar on the roof overlooking the city of Colombo.

It should be a two-bedroom suite, then a kitchen, a large living room, very clean and tidy elevators to swipe to reach the floor, so it is very safe, the hotel's breakfast is also very rich, the service staff's attitude is also very good, The swimming pool is superb, the background is the Lotus Tower built by China. The night scene is very beautiful. There are many birds swimming during the day. From above, I feel that it is very well integrated with nature. There are two supermarkets nearby. I bought some shrimps and vegetables, made a meal in the kitchen, and comforted the Chinese stomach that was tortured in curry for nine days in Sri Lanka.

The rooms are spacious, and very clean. The neighbourhood is quiet and upscale. The staff are helpful and very friendly. I like this place. I will come again. Upon arrival I was warmly greeted. They let me put my champagne in their fridge. I didn’t have to go out to eat, there is room service from the restaurant next door, Pure Kitchen, and the food is outstanding. But what stands out the most about this hotel is that the rooms are immaculate

We stayed at Rococo residence for 4 nights . We were really impressed by the size of the two bedroom apartments, which were well equipped and nicely furnished. They also included a washing machine which was very useful as we were getting towards the end of our holiday. There is a fabulous roof top area with small swimming pool, that offers amazing views of the city. Location wise it doesn't get much better, you are literally minutes away from all of Colombo's top restaurants and hotels and shopping outlets. 10 minute walk from the new Colombo city mall. As you are in the centre of the city, you do find that you hear quite a lot of traffic, horns sirens especially if you are sleeping in a room that faces the main road. If you are a light sleeper be sure to sleep In a room away from the main road. Would advise against taking the breakfast which was disappointing. All in all good place for a few days in Colombo. Lovely staff in security , house keeping and on the front desk, extremely helpful and courteous.

1. Breakfast was poor, neither English nor local. The only good thing is that the Chinese restaurant tastes good. 2. The service is average. I booked a deluxe room (5th to 7th floors), but it turned out to be a superior room (1-4th floor). The front desk clerk had to treat people as fools and said that the rooms were the same. No difference, why is the price different? !! Only changed the room after theory. 3. In the previous review, the toiletries were written by Bvlgari. Maybe they did not make it clear which room type-not all room types have Bvlgari. When asked this question at the front desk, the hotel could only fool: "We are changing the toiletries ...". 4. There are not many varieties of gym equipment and they are small and crowded. 5. The hotel WI-FI has no password, and the speed of each room is different. It depends on the luck of the guests. The room with a large number has a slightly better Internet speed. I am afraid that it will affect the network class and the hotel. Therefore, a router was provided to barely be able to access the network class. 6. The hotel strictly adheres to the principle of hospitality of people who do not dare to offend. No matter what type of suite you book, as long as you do it unswervingly, you will be given preferential service. They will not hesitate to ask those who have reserved patience in advance for higher-level room types. I still do n’t understand how this hotel scores 4.7? !! Pictures are beautiful and served a lot.

I loved my stay at Galadari Hotel. However must mention, I was traveling on my own and booked a NON SMOKING room with a double bed. When I went to the reception, I was told that they can only give a a SMOKERS ROOM, or I could get a room with 2 single beds. Telling your non smoking guest that you will put them in a smokers room is an insult as they smell bad and a non smokers can’t handle it. That was the worst service I have ever experienced at any hotel during check in. First impression was ruined by this arrogant staff member who was quite condescending, perhaps some training would help. However, another person quickly advised that they can get me the correct room. Staff at Bell desk and rest of the front office are fantastic and house keeping and room service are absolutely perfect. The best feature for me was the inbuilt hair dryer next to the mirror in the bathroom. Room was extremely clean and the location is perfect. View from my room was amazing. Yes this hotel needs some refurbishment and seems a little dated but they charge accordingly and it’s the best value for money.

The hotel is located at the end of a rather run-down dusty track so first impressions are not great but this is deceiving. In fact it’s an oasis of tranquility in this busy city. My wife and I spent two nights here on arriving in Sri Lanka prior to touring round the Island and it served its purpose well. If you’re looking for a hotel with lots of action and leisure facilities and majestic views over the city then this is definitely not the right place for you. If, however, you need a place with a bit of peace and quiet then this hotel would be just right. The only noise I heard apart from the birds was the sound of cricket being played in the adjacent recreation ground and the school kids playing in the school playground at the back of our room. The location is very good for looking round the city and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was good too - especially the chicken curry but if you want a Sri Lankan breakfast then you need to order it the night before which is a bit of a nuisance. The only negative comments I have are that there were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room. (They do provide room service but who wants to call room service at 4:00 a.m. when you are jet-lagged?) and it also would have been helpful to have had a fridge in the room. The bathroom lighting wasn’t too great either which made shaving a bit tricky!

The room is not big but it should be there. The bed is a small single bed, three people stay, and the child has an extra bed from the beginning. The central air conditioning has good cooling effect and good shading effect. The hotel (and one in Udawalawe) is indeed the most recommended hotel on Lonely Planet! Cinnamon Group's four-star, rooftop infinity pool is awesome! Watch the sunset at the pool and the night view at the bar. Things are really not expensive in terms of cost performance. The juice is 350, plus a 10% service charge and a tax of 4%. Ctrip pre-booked special room, no breakfast around 460 yuan, very satisfied! However, the professionalism of the front desk service is not enough, saying that there is no airport bus, and there are private and non-private urban stops. Let's take a hotel for rent, it's $ 32, it's expensive. Call your own Uber! Around 2,000 rupees, the airport toll fee is 300 rupees. The shortcoming of the room is that there is always a sound of a machine jumping / running at night. Is it a rattling sound, maybe the ice maker opposite our room? The location is also good, I feel close to the main attractions, be sure to use Uber tutu, the most reasonable price. Otherwise, you must stick to the table! There are too many drivers in Colombo!

I came to Srilanka for official work for 1 day, checked in at around 1900 Hrs on 25th.Nov. I got a lot of horrible experiences with this hotel and some excellent services which i want to highlight. #Good part: 1. It's located at the middle of the city, best location. 2. Reception is good, i met with only one guy there, Mr. Dilsan who was very friendly and welcoming character with big smile. 3. Have their own restaurant with room services which is very fast. #Horrible Experience: 1. They allocated to me Room No: 24 (2nd floor). I opened the door but the room was completely messed up. I went back to reception immediately and mentioned it. They told me , it was a misunderstanding with housekeeping so they gave me another room.23 (2nd floor). 2. I got extra bed there even i was single but it didn't bother me that much. But there were not any towels and drinking water in my room which made me more upset. 3. Safe-box was out order and the door lock also not working properly. You have to push or pull the door hardly to lock it. Make sure that your door is locked before you leave the room. 4. Wifi Facilities is just for name only, most of the time it's not working, if it works also then it's very very slow. At last, i will like to thank this team for everything and i hope other guest will not experience this kind of horrible experience.

I can see why one of the other guests called it a Mini Raffles Hotel. The colonial building and the formal interiors evoke a similar vibe. But its much bolder. The living room/lobby is anchored by a life-size wooden horse from Jafna. An amazing piece of artwork. The contemporary paintings on the walls are intelligently integrated into the old world decor. The leather bound books inside the lovingly curated library are wonderful. A rare selection of books - from Forbidden Colors (a Japanese love story) to coffee table books on flamboyant Sri Lankan ballerinas. These are rare personal books of the owner and his willingness to share it with his guests is touching. I had lunch, dinner and breakfast in the hotel's Italian garden. The best was dinner - with the flicking candle lights and classical music. The Sri Lankan crab was good and service was smooth and efficient. It felt like staying at an old friend's home. A home where the staff look after you like a family member or a cherished friend of the owner. My zipper on my bag broke when I was checking out and the staff tried over 20min to fix it with gusto. Tropical Linen a gorgeous little store is next door. Very worth visiting. The other Paradise Road stores are a 10min tun-tuk ride away. DO NOT WALK. Its hot and sticky. Moss has a certain charm to it that isn't quite Sri Lankan, but one that could certainly only be found here. Built around a lush courtyard, the space connects you with the fragrance and energy of the jungle lying just beneath the city streets of Colombo. The spacious rooms are bespoke in their design, with a focus on soft, natural woods, white walls, and polished concrete floors. The bathrooms feel modern, and hot water is a welcome treat when you've got an air conditioned room. Common areas are comfortably furnished and feel inviting. An array of books congregate on coffee tables, in case you aren't traveling with one. And the communal mac computers provide access to the web should you need it. Speaking of, there's solid wifi here as well. And I'd be remiss to exclude the staff from my review... Polite, friendly, and chill, the Moss staff are your homies away from home. Expect your needs to be taken care of promptly and with respect.
