Points of interest^^^ This was our first visit to The Tiger Hotel. My husband & I stayed for 1 night (a Thursday) & paid $158.26. ARRIVAL/CHECK-IN: I emailed the hotel to advise of late arrival (right around 9:00 PM). ROOM: As a Spire Elite member, I also emailed the hotel requesting a complimentary room upgrade. We originally booked a 1 King Bed Standard & were upgraded to a 1 King Bed Junior Suite, room #708. • Amenities: Keurig & mini refrigerator. ^^^Note: The fridge is stocked the brim with drinks. You have to remove (and return them of course) to use any part of the fridge. • Bath: Hot water & decent pressure. Soaker tub appeared to have not been cleaned, so I didn't feel comfortable taking a bath 🙁 • Bed: Decent. Not quite as soft as some IHG hotels, but OK. Linens need cleaned. ^^^• Cleanliness: At first glance (in the evening), the room appeared cleaned. However, when I moved two pillows & crawled into bed I immediately felt something akin to sand (dirt, crumbs?) against my body. As it was already past midnight/too late to call housekeeping for fresh linens, I used a dry cloth to wipe the bed off. In the morning light I also noticed the room is in desperate need of dusting & the soaking tub needs scrubbed (there were little black hairs in it). • Decor: Stylish, but parts of the room were rough around the edges ^^^• Heating: The room does not heat well at all. I'm guessing because it's an older building. We keep our home at 68°; this room was set to 74°, & we were still shivering. Had to bump it up to 77°, then 80°(!). We went to bed wearing PJs & covered with the blanket of course. • Sound: A little noise from other guests, heater rattles & you can hear vehicles outside. ^^^• TV: HORRIBLE. Don't be fooled: 'Guests enjoy HD LCD TVs with a wide selection of complimentary channels.' Seriously, the worst TVs we've ever used in a hotel (the suite had two). Half the channels didn't come through at all; the other half were fuzzy. • View: Nice view of Mizzou columns • WiFi: Unstable. Kicked me off at least 2x in <15 minutes. FOOD: On 2/24, the front desk clerk told us Glenn's Cafe was open until 10:00 PM for room service. We called at 9:45 & was advised the kitchen was already shut down. Ignore the app & website: 'Room service is available daily from 7:00am - 11:00pm.' Because we were so tired due to the early morning disturbance (see below), we skipped ordering breakfast. COVID-19 RESPONSE: No precautions taken. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Mixed. The young woman who checked us in 2/24 was very professional. The older woman seemed.. disinterested.. in assisting her co-workers or customers. Just sort of meandered around the empty lobby with her cell phone 🤷🏼‍♀️ The young man working the front desk 2/25 AM was also very polite. GROUNDS: Lovely architecture inside. The elevator was so small it made me laugh though 😆 (only one seemed to be working; slowly at that). I nearly busted my butt 2x as the sidewalk in front of the hotel was coated with ic

What a nice hotel in a great location. It's an 8-year-old building and still looks new. Unlike some other Hilton brands, it does not have a free breakfast. Small fitness center, but it is appropriate for the number of rooms. A couple of treadmills, a couple of ellipticals and free weights. There are towels and sanitizer wipes available, along with water. Check out the great rooftop bar that is open in the evenings. Rooms are cozy, beds are comfy and the TV is a really good size. I'm shocked at how small the ice bucket is. Good water pressure in the shower and plenty of outlets. I only met the front desk clerk, but he was friendly and helpful. If you are bringing a lot of luggage, drop it off in the lobby first then park, as the parking deck does not connect to the hotel. Great views from the higher floors. The guide for the TV is the slow scroll through all of the available channels, and the NFL network is not one of them.

This particular Hampton Inn was really nice. It's across the street from the Mizzou campus and just down the street from the stadium. there is a great little bar & grill attached with lots of TV's for sports viewing. The rooms were great. Beds were very comfortable. Room and bathroom was very clean as well. Breakfast was typical Hampton fare (sausages, fruit, waffle maker, potatoes as well as coffee, milk & juices. I'd definitely stay here again. Darin

Great central location, but very difficult to get to the motel from nearby roads. I went around the block quite a few times to find the entrance, each day! There is a deep pot hole spanning the entire width of the pavement to avoid every time. Room was big and clean. Breakfast is typical mid-American junk fare— cold cereals, bagels, bisquits and gravy. Sometimes it’s cheaper to get book with breakfast and just skip it. There are restaurants nearby. It’s a fine place, especially for the cost. Nothing embarrassing or foul here. Desk staff was friendly.

Pretty uneventful stay. Nothing outstanding, but the room was huge and the gym was decent (tv didn't work though— or maybe the just the remote). Breakfast very typical of this type— not much to eat for those on healthier regimes. I had eggs— that's it. A tour bus had stayed there and the food was often cleaned out quickly. Timing was everything, but the staff did all they could. This is my second review of this hotel. There was a funky smell in the room when the freezing AC was turned down. Once I was in bed I figured it out. It was dog, wet dog cologne. Just as bad as a smoking room. In the morning, picking up my shoes, there was dog hair all intertwined in the carpet. Smell confirmed. Upon my first review, I got an email from BW stating their generic concern at my review without stating my specific, but please stay with them again. I stay in hotels right now about ⅓-½ the year and BW has been a staple. This doesn't change my option that the chain is a decent value, but its disappointing that they couldn't even respond more specifically, not that I expected a response, but please don't pretend they care.

My wife and I are here for business. Well actually my wife is here and I work remote so I tagged along. But wanted to say the service is great. Cynthia who was exceptional with breakfast helped with anything you wanted and Dan the operations manager is pleasant to deal with wants to ensure all your needs are served. The rooms on the 3rd floor were great and were animal friendly which goes along ways. Great job you all.

Stopped in Columbia as the halfway point while driving from Kansas City to our home in Illinois. Got the room for a decent rate using a third-party booking app. Upon arrival to check-in, there was a sign at the front desk indicating that the staff member had stepped away. Waited for about 3 minutes and he checked us in. Got to the room and it was cold, so we checked the thermostat on the wall, showed the heat was on, turned heat up to 73, and started to unwind from our drive. After waiting about 30 minutes noticed the room wasn't getting any warmer, checked thermostat on the wall, it was set to heat and 73 degrees. After waiting another 15 minutes finally gave up and went down to the front desk. Waited at the front desk for a solid 10 minutes, and when the clerk appeared I explained the problem. He apologized and offered to move us to a suite - of course, I took him up on that offer and there were no additional charges or fees. Relocated to a warm suite where we got a decent night's rest. A couple of days after checking out and getting home, I noticed a charge on my credit card for what we paid for the room through the third party booking app, at this point I thought that I would let it go for a couple of days to see if a refund would come along. After waiting 15 days, no refund, so I called and spoke with someone who saw that a mistake was made and fixed it. I would consider staying at this property again - because they handled my complaint about no heat in a fairway. Both of the rooms we stayed in didn't have any smells or nasty odors that either I or my spouse could detect. The hotel overall looked clean and well kept. Our rooms other than the broken heater in the first room were the only real mechanical issue.

Not only did the hotel manage to get me a room last minute they did it with a smile! Most professional and upbeat experience I’ve had at a hotel. Rooms were clean and quiet, my kids had a blast at the pool and the staff went above and beyond at the buffet the next day. Would recommend to anyone and can not wait to come back.
