Very loud DJ on 1st floor kept us awake, as our triple family room was unfortunately located on 1st floor :/ Room change not possible as hotel had no triple room available. Complaint at checkout yielded in free parking and free water bottle (Thanks for those EUR 12.20 by the way), plus I was made very clear that I am lucky not to be charged for the 45min late checkout...!!! Swimming pool and terrace area is really good. Restaurant is basic, quite crowded during summer, and loud, but value for money. Hotel is overall clean. For a cheap room rate, and a confirmed room on 3rd (top) floor where you can sleep during the weekend, we may consider visiting again... maybe!

Were to start about this hotel! , Well on a 2 week vacation with a party of 5 we ended up in this hotel that is like most gereral spanish beach town made for the main sit on beach do nothing holiday guest. This hotel was renewed about i year ago and that show in the quality of the rooms as they are clean functional and simply good rooms. This is tho were the good news end on this hotel. Rest of the hotel is cold and empty place, pool is ok but lots of dirt from trees fallen into the pool and not cleaned up on daily base. The restaurant reminded of my army days were we are all pushed in to a small noisy cantine to eat as make sure we leave as soon s possible. The restaurant exist of really 2 small rooms with way to many tables and no place to even move your chair, This made it almost impossible to get out to go to get something. Staff was not motivated and clearly working there against there will. Not only was the food of real real bad quality and mostl of it was burned from overcooking and served cold Even when restaurant just opened for dinner food that was on buffet was allready cold as they not even heated the counters as they should do in first place., most of the food served was kind or mistery food . Always the same things almost every day until now i still have no clue what i eat there for dinner. i clearly have eaten the beaf stew the first week 4 times. I think they picked the restaurant chef directly from the streat to save some money. He made a thai dish that was curry and rice basesd and called it pad thai and every chef with basic skills knows that pad thai is a noodle dish. ( My spous is a Thai native) The tables and chairs and everything else was dirty and of poor mantenance. disches, glasses and table cloth are not washed etc...etc... One of the pictures with burned sausages i asked if they are trying to give the guest of the hotel cancer they replyed you have to die from something , They foundt it funny to give me this reply as they tough i was jokeing around. As we confronted the reception and staff of the hotel about the problem they told us they would look into it someday when they have some spare time but in general they just did not care about it all. I was witness that the restaurant manager told a guest who complained that the food was cold again that if she wanted warm food that she always can put it into a microwave oven. In what restaurant you tell your guest to heat the food yourself! We have given up in complaining every day about the food and the hygene as they clearly did not care and started to eat outt as there are so many places with desent food around. I guess after they renew all rooms they try to lower quality of the food to get out of the renewing cost they have made. Here the guest is really paying for the renewed rooms! i have documented and will post some sample pictures in hope the hotel will reply with comment so i will post the remaining pictures after to show people i am giving ho

Our stay at NM Suites this week was a complete disaster. For context: We reserved at NM Suites this year for two main reasons: 1. We appreciated the hotel during a past visit (2018) and were happy to repeat this year. 2. The hotel accepted dogs against payment of a supplement. Unfortunately, our expectations were badly disappointed, in the following ways: 1. The reception upon arrival was quite cold from the beginning, bearing in mind that we came for the second time. Sadly, this unwelcoming attitude was continuously on display until our departure. We seriously doubt that such unprofessional conduct is a recipe for success for a hotel in the covid-19 era. 2. The extra bed that was arranged for the third guest was of poor quality for a hotel that pretends to be exclusive. 3. The TV in the bedroom did not work properly, and nor did the remote control. When we complained, the problem was not solved conclusively, with no explanation being given. Such neglected equipment is not up to standard for a hotel such as this one. 4. While during our prior stay at the hotel as well as for the first two days of this year's holiday we were grateful for the dog-friendly attitude demonstrated by the hotel, to our astonishment we were told on the third day that it was no longer possible to order a drink on the pool-side terrace in the presence of a dog. The night before other guests had dinner on the same terrace accompanied by their dog, comparable in its small size to ours. Allegedly, hotel management had ordered this sudden change of policy after "viewing the surveillance cameras". The change of policy is arbitrary (occurring in the middle of a stay), applied unequally (to some guests and not to others) and baseless (why should a dog not be able to accompany its owners onto the terrace?). The method (video surveillance - is it normal to use it on hotel premises for reasons other than suspicion of inappropriate or unlawful conduct?) and the communication of the decision to ban dogs on the terrace (through the waiter) also appear highly questionable and unworthy of a hotel that respects loyal clients. 5. Coincidentally or not, immediately after our complaint regarding the deficient TV and remote control and the prohibition to enter the terrace with our dog, the electronic door key ceased to work on all access doors (garden and secondary entrance of the hotel) except that of our apartment. Either it is an issue of lousy equipment (as with the bed, the TV and remote control - see above points 2. and 3.) or a matter of deliberate harassment of customers. In both cases the hotel looks appalling. 6. On the penultimate morning, at around 10:30 am, after we had returned from breakfast, the cleaning personnel asked us when we would be leaving the room so that they could clean. As paying clients we are not used to having to adapt our schedule of the day to the convenience of hotel personnel, especially because we spent most of the day outside anyway and thus leave

We completed the check-in the day prior to arrival as instructed and were offered the Jr Suite on the first floor or the 4th. We were told that the one we choose (the 4th floor) would be available after 2pm, but we could wait at the pool. With COVID-19, things were supposed to be planned. When we got there, they had bumped us into the first floor and allowed the other guest to stay late for free. They wanted us to unpack stay 1 night in the first floor, then move up to the 4th floor. I had already re-packed the suitcases when we were told to wait at the pool the day before. Why would I want to unpack and pack up again? When we complained we were given a smaller room to wait in. This room was NOT treated with the protocols for COVID. There was a stain on the bathroom door (god only knows what is was)- see photo- the remote wasn’t bagged, the balcony was full of broken glass and cigarette butts. It was DISGUSTING and even more so with the situation we are in. After waiting and waiting for the room we had reserved to be ready...and no phone call. My husband went to speak with the director. I feel like the director should have come out after the desk clerk POL had to keep going back and ask her questions. As an apology she sent a bottle of cava (I asked for it) to the room, but to be honest, it still felt like very little as we had paid more than 300€/night. How much is a ruined day of a 3 night trip worth? I feel like we should have been given a prorated price on the room for the first night. The next day we found that the coffee cups were dirty from the people who had been in the room before us. The cleaning woman who took care of the room that day was lovely and took them and disinfected them with bleach. Why wouldn’t the hotel (supposedly certified as safe travel) have switched to disponible paper coffee cups? I saw another person complained about how stingy they were with coffee capsules and shampoos and I’d totally agree. In the end, we went to the supermarket and bought our own by that point we were SICK of complaining. It’s our vacation, we should have to tell you how to treat guests! Sadly, the (blonde)woman who cleaned our room the day before checkout wasn’t wearing her mask when we popped back to the room! When we asked her to please put on her mask on, she told us not to worry because she put a spray on the beds. Again, safe travel certified. Oh please! Spray all you want but if you breathe on top of what you cleaned, then it’s all for nothing. I feel bad for the cleaning ladies, they were sweating and it’s hard work doing physical labor with a mask. The other woman who cleaned the room the first day kept her mask on. She told me she was hot and uncomfortable, but didn’t want to get anyone sick and she herself didn’t want to get sick. In my opinion, the director should have been on top of this and given the employees breaks so that they can do their job properly without putting the guests at risk. She should do spot checks on

We arrived here on 11th September for a week's holiday. Reception was friendly and easy to check in. However when we got to our room it was tiny. With no balcony. Definitely not 4 star standard. We were less than satisfied. We complained straight away and managed to be moved to another good sized room. With a balcony. Where we were much happier. The rooms were cleaned every day to a good standard. We were all inclusive. There were no wristbands, just a card system, for the drinks. You had to give a card in for a drink, and when you had finished your drink you had to take your glass back to get another drink, meaning you could only get one drink at once. The all inclusive drinks were good, and the bar staff friendly. It was a bit annoying that the pool bar was closed. However the bar area, restaurant, and pool area are all on one level. The dining room was a good size, and there was a good choice of food. Although on some occasions not very warm. The all inclusive snacks were the usual hot dogs, burgers etc, The pool area was nice with plenty of sun beds, and the entertainment staff especially Christina were brilliant. Platja D'aro itself is a lovely place. Nice shops and lovely beach. There is another H.TOP Hotel on the beach called the Caletta which you can use for drinks and food. We had a good weeks holiday and would visit this area again.

We Stayed by degrees, having come across the hotel by chance, we booked for one night, then added another two, nights before adding another 3 nights. A testament to the great staff and the clean modern rooms. The fifth floor consists of a swimming pool, a lay out area complete with sun beds and cabanas. Breakfast is a large varied buffet, from which no one leaves hungry. During a large thunderstorm, which caused the lifts to fail for a short while, all the staff just pitched in and carried cases and people up and down the stairs, all with good humour.Reception was staffed with multilingual staff who could not have been nicer. The room was spacious, modern, great shower, and very clean. A must return venue for us.

The place was really good for the price that we paid. Very good location, nice facilities, delicious breakfast. The staff was very helpful and friendly! They were all very nice. Everything was great and I would stay there again without any doubts. However, the beds are a bit noisy but it's a minor thing. Overall, I'd say this is a highly recommended place in Platja d'Aro.

We were looking for a cheap and centrally located hotel for our short trip to Platja d'Aro. We knew we'd be on the beach and eating and drinking out so plush fancy hotel was not needed..... which is just as well as neither of these things can be used to describe the Hotel Claramar! It was however in a great location, 2 minute walk from the beach and main street, the room was clean and the beds very comfortable. It was very 70s - 80s in style, but as I say we weren't there to look closely at the decor! We had a wee balcony that was fine for towels and some fresh air. The air con worked fine as did the internet - no problems with either of these things. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was rather poor, the coffee at best could be described as a emetic and was avoided for the rest of the trip. There were scrambled eggs, bread cheese etc, enough to fill up for the day, though if you need a decent hot drink in the morning I advise bring your own teabags! The walls, as other reviewers mention, are very thin! Despite these things I would have no problem returning should I need somewhere cheap to stay in Platja d'Aro! My advice - if on a budget - stay here, save your money and enjoy the great restaurants in this fabulous city!

I loved the S’Agoita and was very happy with my choice of hotel in Platja D’Aro. Everything from check in to check out was excellent, there was nothing at all that I would fault. All of the staff were very helpful, friendly and polite. We had booked a room overlooking the pool which was a good choice and there were always sun beds available. The room was very nice and seemed newly renovated, it had a fridge and excellent air conditioning. We enjoyed the inclusive breakfast which had lots of hot and cold choices with very good coffee. The lunchtime buffet looked excellent and was very reasonably priced but we did not try this as our main meal is at night. If they had served food at night I would certainly have dined there. The bar prices were also very reasonable which is often not the case in hotels. It’s location is great with shops, bars and restaurants in the immediate vicinity and the beach a 5 minute stroll away. It is around 10 years since I last visited Platja D’Aro, it is a wonderful resort with a great vibe and I do not intend to leave it as long until my next visit. I would for certain return to Hotel S’Agoita again.

I booked this last minute after Thomas cooks demise. I am normally a slave to tripadvisor and wouldn’t book anything with less than 4 stars. This has been a major eye opener. Being a family of 5 and a lot sold out for October half term we booked this being limited with options we booked this through Jet2. 30-40 min transfer from airport the service from jet2 was brilliant too. We arrived and was greeted at reception by Tomas who is an absolute credit to the hotel. Explained everything to us interacted with the children we even got our room a few hours early. We had a family suite with sea view this room was absolutely massive the view was stunning. We had a separate room for the kids and a judge balcony. The room was clean and the decor just neutral. I liked the pictures they had hanging everywhere of various sights and scenes of the area. I was blown away by how stunning and immaculate this hotel was, the grounds were beautiful with palm trees, plants and flowers. Everywhere was kept looking perfect with Gardner’s and cleaners. Being last week of season we weren’t expecting much in way of entertainment but I was impressed with the schedule they had. They had one external act come in which was fab and a packed schedule of stuff for all the family. The food was always brilliantly presented. Massive variety and changed daily. They do not cater for the English market specifically, but you are not in England they did their best to cater for all nationalities (we had HP brown sauce) and we always found something. Dining was white table clothes and waiters were very professional and sat you at your table. We had a card for all inclusive and the kids loved they had responsibility of using these. Everyone in restaurant worked so hard constantly replenishing food always hot and fresh. Saibo (apologies if spelt wrong) you made my 2 years olds week she loved you and you were always so happy to see her and give her a wave despite it not being you job. Andre so friendly and professional. At meal times you scanned your card to help yourself to drinks. The selection of drinks on all inclusive was good a cocktail different every day and cava. We won a few cocktails of our choice taking part in games and these were fantastic they are also heavily discounted on all inclusive. The pool overlooking the beach is selling point you can walk down a few steps to the beach. If you walk to the left to unspoilt coves stunning views. To the right to the main beach with a play area with a pirate ship on the beach and into the local town which is a nice little place. Not too touristy. For what we paid this pace is amazing value for money. I would rate it as a 4 star although some areas a little tired and some slight improvements could be made. But people complaining have to remember what they paid. We came out of season the last week of the season so didn’t experience any queues or subbed dash it was actually pretty paid back. Got a bit hectic
