Hotels Near Restaurant Phoebus In Corfu Review
The appearance of the hotel is good, the service attitude is poor, give me a room that is too small for my suitcase to be flat. I went to the front desk and asked for a room change. I also gave me a room with eight air-conditioning hosts outside the balcony. The noise is very big, I gave it to Ctrip, indicating that I will change the room for me. I went to the front desk to borrow needles, or the woman said no, and another woman gave me a box of needles. The old woman at the front desk had a bad attitude. It is recommended to prepare a careful consideration for this hotel. The bed in the room is placed against the wall, which is inconvenient. The bedside table is a magazine-sized wooden board nailed to the wall. This is the worst value for money hotel during the 20-day trip. More than 900 can have other Better choice
Although not the first hotel I wanted to stay in, Ctrip's customer service did their best, the room was speechless, and the double bed was made up of two beds. . . There is a charging socket on the bedside. The water is salty. Go to the supermarket and buy some spring water. The legendary city view is looking at the other wall of the hotel.
The only good thing is that the breakfast is really good and my Greeks are quite satisfied. Recommend the traditional desserts in Tuli, super delicious! !! !! Greek yogurt is super delicious if you add some honey. If you check out early in the morning, you can tell the staff that you can take some breakfast to take away.
Finally, for off-season travel, the price / performance ratio is still okay. . .
Breakfast can be, the location of the hotel is good, behind the bar street, the bar is downstairs, the window is closed at night, the sound insulation is better, there is not much impact. There is a man at the front desk of the hotel. I am really not talking about it! It completely affected the hotel's good impression to the guests! The first day to stay at the hotel, recommend us a day trip, this recommendation I can fully understand, but we need to discuss it again, he is not happy in an instant, that expression and tone, bad reviews! ! In addition, we came back from the outside, two foreigners were staying, he greeted us, and then shrugged shoulders at the two foreigners! ! A few meanings ~ that kind of expression action seems like we are **? ! Personal English is also very heavy, and I feel very good! The most atmospheric thing is that the day before said to give us a call to the plane, this thing we confirmed three sides! ! ! The last time was that we went back to the room at night and told him again at the front desk! ! He said OK! The next day we waited downstairs on time! I haven't got a car for a long time! Originally, he also said that it is just right to go to the airport at this time, but if the car is late, then we are likely to miss the opportunity! Time is limited. He did not hand over the next successor to the colleague. We asked, the female front desk did not know, and then called him to complain a lot! Then tell us that the car is on the way, but I haven't come for a long time! It is not good to play in that place. It takes time, I also stopped the car, it is very troublesome! ! He not only caused trouble to his colleagues! Also caused us trouble! Finally, another hotel staff member gave us a temporary taxi. The drivers are all close to each other, but there is no delay. Every country has a person who has lost face to the people! I hope everyone can maintain a modest attitude and respect each other!
Don't take part in a day trip to the hotel. It's a very boring sixty euros for a person, a child for 40, a strong hotel for 65 euros a day, a car rental is only forty or fifty euros driving, is the most correct choice, I do Airport bus to the bus station, walk to the hotel 1.8 Euro. Blue hole plus Shipwreck Bay 20 Euro per person, children free. It is worth going to go to Greece, Zhaji is a must, it is beautiful. Ctrip is a very responsible booking network, the price is the cheapest, no matter what other international reservations are booked.
To ask Zakynthos for a friend who is looking for the descendants of the sun, this must be the best choice. Absolutely tailored for the Chinese. The main location of this Jingdezhen city is excellent. There is no elevator. But if you work hard, you will come up. They will also help. It may be a little noisy on the street. But this landscape and the rare experience of the balcony scenery, passers-by will look at your envy of the location is good ^o^. Not far from the turtle spot. We rent a car by ourselves. Convenient a lot. Because I often get used to driving overseas, it is not difficult to open. Pay attention to the suspension of the stop "stop" just fine. Prepare yourself for breakfast. The location of the lunch is not bad, too expensive~
I didn’t expect Zhadao to be so hot. The entire Greek tour hotel was very well booked. In addition to the selection of several houses in Zhadao, I saw that this house also had a three-person room. I decided to have a public transportation. We did not see any public transportation. The car rental came out from the station and saw the taxi with the driver. It was clear to the driver that it was 10 minutes before turning left and right. It was a little old but the equipment was still full of flowers on the window sill. Good-looking also makes the hotel very conspicuous. It is very good to find the variety of breakfasts that go to the door every time. It’s a pity that I only eat one day. The next morning, I’ll go to the plane one night in advance and the front desk grandfather asks if I can rent the grandfather. We have a good car. I am still worried about asking him if the driver is not on time to give me a call. I contact the driver. Grandpa said that I don’t have to worry about being on time. I am on the side of the cabin. I don’t come to knock on the door and call me. The next day, the taxi is really punctual. Appeared! Rely on! (By the way, the soft candy at the front desk is really delicious. I still remember it now.) There is a small step opposite the hotel. When you go straight to the sea, you can go to the sea when you are not in the sun. It’s a good time to see a lot of locals walking away. Clothes jumped down and stunned
There are not many varieties of breakfast, but at least there are fried eggs, boiled eggs, bread, coffee, cereals and juices, which can meet the basic needs of the Chinese people. I arrived at the hotel early in the morning, there was no room left, I could only wait for someone to check out, but the hotel said that I could go to the restaurant for breakfast, but it was more humane. The location of the hotel is in the mountains, so you must consider renting a car when you come to live, otherwise you will feel that it is difficult to move.
The hotel is on the hill. There is a shuttle bus to the town and the beach, but it depends on their time. The hotel is a bit of a sense of age. We booked a private pool suite but the pool was a bit dirty and there were corpses of bugs in it and there was no water. The room was generally ok. Dinner and breakfast were included but the dishes and taste were not good. There were only lazy ones in the hotel Big dog and a few cats like to follow you. When checking in, I explained a lot of things in detail. There is a free airport pick-up and dinner. You can't wear revealing clothes and drinks are charged separately. Overall it's ok!
We stayed at this hotel during the second week of September and really enjoyed it. The hotel has a beautiful beach. We stayed most of the time at the pool but went down a few steps to the beach and the sea. The pool is not very large as in many other hotels but still pleasant and well kept. The hotel’s reception area and restaurant look recently painted and renovated. The persons at the reception as well as the restaurant are very nice and did everything to make our stay pleasant and comfortable. We were staying in a suite on the third floor with a view the pool and the beach front. Most of the other rooms in the hotel look at the inner court. The suite was very spacious and consisted of a separate sitting and bed room. It has a nice balcony. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty but nothing out of the ordinary. Diner was buffet style and again plentiful with many dishes to choose from. Drinks are extra. The service was exceptional good. We very much enjoyed our stay at the hotel. At the time we were staying the atmosphere was very quiet and pleasant.
The hotel environment is not bad, the service is very good, I asked a lot of questions when I checked in, and I helped to make appointments and reservations. Hotel room is OK, no surprise, belonging to the resort hotel, the swimming pool is good.
The hotel is on the hill, very quiet, the pool is a bit dirty, can't swim, the other is not as bad as the ones mentioned in the comments, it is not so good, more than 9 euros for breakfast, it is acceptable. Going out, please book the rental at the front desk. It is not Audi or Mercedes. The price goes to the town of Zhajin about 15 euros, to the blue hole pier 70 euros, it is recommended to charter. By the way, go to Zha Jin, remember to eat lobster, 25 Euro is very cheap.
From the outside, it looks like Zakynthos Anzhen, the South Yellow-style small yellow building, only to enter the room to know that the original facilities are not as good as seven days.
It’s very close to the small town of Zakynthos, but with Shipwreck Bay in the northernmost part of the island and in the southernmost part. There is a swimming pool. Basically, all foreigners stay in. The breakfast is also very good. They are eaten by foreigners, but the Chinese stomach can barely eat it.
As the title of my review says about this wonderful hotel, from arrival to departure in every aspect the Contessina delivers complete satisfaction. On arrival we were welcomed by a very friendly helpful member of staff, and given a refreshing drink, she then showed us to our rooms. The rooms were really nice, with good shower rooms, fridge, kettle, coffee making facilities, free safe, air conditioning large flat screen television and the most comfortable hotel bed ever. The house keeping here is second to none, regular towel changes, and rooms cleaned and prepared to a high standard. We cannot speak highly enough of all the staff from reception, bar, attendants at breakfast, and housekeeping, each and every one so pleasant, helpful and friendly. As for the breakfast's here they are perfect, there is something to suit every taste, slightly varied daily, and all of excellent quality,to set you up for the day. This is our second stay here, and would definitely stay here again, and would recommend the hotel,in the lovely resort of Tsilivi. The location is also close to the beach, bars and restaurants. I would just like to end by once again saying a big thank you to all the staff, for helping make our holiday.
Okay so I won't lie we were very sceptical upon arrival and were worrying about the hotel but as soon as we got into our room all our worry disappeared, it was so close to the airport, only took 10 mins in the taxi. The staff were also lovely upon our arrival. We were offered the wristband for the week for 100 euros by Andy the rep but we declined as we were all lightweights and didn't think it was worth it lol) the wristband entitled you to free drinks every day in a hour of your choice (i think?) We also did have to pay a fee for wifi & air con but the lady at the desk gave us a deal for the whole week which was very reasonable. In the evening the man at the desk smiled at me every time I walked past, we felt safe! So our room was amazing considering what we paid?! Clean, comfy beds and a lovely balcony overlooking the front of the hotel entrance to pre-drink on before we went out. A safe to store all our valuables. There was next to no space to hang up our clothes and stuff for 3 people but it didn't bother us to live out of our suitcases for a week. Considering we went in September you could still tell it was a party hotel however we had no trouble with noise at all?? I think music had to be turned off by 1am but by that time everyone was on the strip or leaving for the strip. I assume it must be a lot crazier/noisier in the busier months. I would say its not really a family hotel at all but to be honest we did see people of all ages, even a elderly couple!! The strip was a TEN MINUTE WALK AWAY, so location absolutely a 10/10. No taxis involved in getting there and back so saved money & it was very very convenient. As you leave the hotel entrance there is the main bar and pool across the road, however there is also a sister pool a few more steps further down the road (anyone has access) USE THIS ONE!! The pool further down is much bigger, more sunbeds and seemed cleaner, both pool bars served food and drink and played music. The main pool did have a swim up bar but we didn't actually use that. When it came to feeding ourselves etc, there is a Spar just opposite the petrol station at the top of the road from the hotel, so again very convenient. There was a Pharmacy (people were rude) and ATM near the shop as well. We used this Spar to buy all our alcohol & snacks!! For dinner we ate out every night but it was never expensive. We found an amazing Chinese restaurant (Oriental Express?) at the start the strip and it served gorgeous food for average price, we ate there nearly every night. We also found another gem on the strip, it was called BJs and we bought a chicken gryos from there every night for £3.50 and ate it on our walk home. SO GOOD that I'm craving one now. There was also a Maccies near the bottom of the strip to. The strip wasn't that lively as it was coming towards the end of the season, but even so we had a great time every night. We loved Zeros, the barman was so friendly and chatted to us every night. Cocktails and Dreams wa
This was our first experience of a swim up room, best thing ever!! Get up in morning and have your coffee whilst paddling in your own pool in your our outside lounge area. No worry about where you will sunbath as you have your own large double bed next to the pool. The hotel owner is fabulous real family caring feel to welcome all. The reception ladies and cleaners were really lovely. The hotel is far enough area from strip to ignore it, We walked to the strip to get Euros out of the local bank but it pretty rough to be honest with medical centres every few bars. However Castillo is a haven with its own little farm, Martina’s daily activities of Yoga, loom etc you can just relax and ignore the outside world. pizza restaurant opposite if you miss a meal grab a take away. Also Acropolis restaurant is definitely worth a walk to for a meal. We had best waffles ever at restaurant near beach opposite shop and bar. We went on a boat trip and saw turtles.
This hotel was absolutely brilliant. We stayed here during the covid19 pandemic. We enjoyed a wonderful holiday with our 18 month old son. The room we had was spacious, clean and offered a lovely balcony to enjoy the garden view later in the evening. The grounds of the hotel are very pretty and kept to a very high standard. The staff were fantastic! We always found all the team to be so polite, welcoming and incredibly helpful. Pool areas and dining had a nice atmosphere and it was clear that guests of all ages were enjoying their holiday. The food on offer was the best food at a half board hotel we have experienced. The food changed and themed nights featured throughout the week to give a nice variety of foods. The standard for a buffet was very high and again the staff working in this area were great. The staff were so attentive, they specially ordered in soya milk for our son and even the gardener always took time to speak to our little boy and make him laugh (he loves lawnmowers). The location is superb, just a couple of minutes walk to the beach and around 10 minute stroll to the resort centre. We would absolutely recommend this hotel and its likely we will be back here for another lovely holiday.
A wonderful hotel with stunning sea views close to the town of Tsilivi. We stayed here for 4 nights in September 2020 and cannot recommend it enough. The rooms are spacious and modern, the hotel is spotless and the staff could not be more helpful. The pool area is perfect for relaxing in the sun, and there is even a private rocky beach at the bottom of the cliff for swimming in the crystal clear sea. The location is a little out of town, but this is not an issue if you don't mind walking (15 - 20 mins) or paying for a taxi (6 euros each way to Tsilivi). Don't miss visiting Shipwreck Beach while you are in Zante!
Was a last minute holiday,We had a warm welcome at the Hotel arrived about 12.30pm check-in was Swift, shown to Our room Clean & Airy large Patio with Mountain & Pool views, Bathroom was "Compact"but adequate time bath,Shower was different was Hand held 😏.We had B&B breakfast was Buffet style was adequate eggs, bacon etc.,Fresh fruit,Yoghurt all good. Pool area was large with sun beds & umbrellas, outside Jacuzzi,Children pool & large adults pool with Deep & Shallow ends. Bar was good reasonable prices, Happy Hour 5-6pm daily open 10.30 to Midnight also services Snack food till 9pm, shows sports Channels, UK football.Free Mini bus to beach times are shown takes 5 minutes. Beach OK typical Tourist town, shops, restaurants etc. Very good restaurant across the road "to Rodi".All in All very nice hotel, good staff, good service, would return.
Perfect location, block away from the strip so far enough to not hear or be woken by anything or anyone and close enough to just pop in and out of the strip when you please. Hotel was very clean and was cleaned everyday by the maid when we were there. All staff were very friendly and welcoming. You do have to pay a deposit when arriving and also for the safe, air con and WiFi. The best thing about the hotel is the pool, it is amazing so big and has a shallow and deep end with sun loungers all around. Small bar which serves food and drink which is very cheap and affordable and the food is good. If you need anything the staff are more than helpful in getting you what you need. Overall amazing little place and would definitely return and recommend to anyone who is thinking of going. I have read so many bad reviews on sunshine however they are fair to you until you disobey the rules they have set which is fair enough as you are shown them on arrival so if they don’t like them it’s your choice, they want to keep all guest happy as there are small children in the hotel too. Would give it more than 5 stars if I had the option!
We stayed at the hotel from 21/8/20 to 29/8/20 . The hotel is in a very quiet place . Restaurants are a good 15 or 20 mins walk away from the hotel. Pack a torch as the roads are not lit very well and so you also can be seen when walking.. The beaches are close . We really like St Nicholas beach . you can get the bus to drop you near it. Its about 10 or 15 min walk off bus. there are plenty sun beds to hire and they are 8 euros for a pair with an umbrella . There is some bars and restaurants by the beach and there are water sports to do as well, The beach was clean The .sea was so calm , lovely and warm and clean. It is a sandy beach so great for children. . The rooms in the hotel are good size. had a junior suit with a sea view. My husband and i shared or room with our 12 year old son . There is not much privacy in the room . There is a fridge with a freezer box and kettle in the room and a good size balcony . Staff were great and were very helpful as this was a last minute rebooked holiday. So we didn't know much about the area. We had breakfast every day . It was lovely . Great choose of hot and cold items. Staff serve the breakfast to you because of Covid. zante town is a good bus ride away . You can get bus from outside the hotel . Worth a visit. Plenty shops, Restaurants, harbour and lovely churches.
Location - in the perfect location, close enough to walk to the main strip of Laganas which is less than 5 minutes on foot however, the hotel is set enough back that it allows a chilled quiet escape when relaxing around the pool or heading back to the room. Rooms - spacious with 2 bathrooms, a full kitchen equipped with everything you may require for self catering.. full fridge freezer, cooker, toaster, coffee machine, grill, the list goes on. A sofa area and plenty of wardrobe space for a long stay. Cleanliness - rooms and pool are both immaculate, cleaner was very friendly. Service - host was very attentive, friendly and easy to talk to. If you have any questions or need to ask for taxi or anything she is willing to assist. Overall - A great place to stay, pool area was lovely with 2 bathrooms out by the poolside area, in a quiet area limited to the guests in the other suites. A modern room kitted out with everything you may need/want. Location is great and service was to a very high standard. Would recommend staying here and would also stay again if I came to the Island again.
7th time on the Island but 1st time at this hotel and what a find!! if you are checking these reviews for somewhere to stay then seriously look no further!! Other reviews state it is a bit out of the way but we really didn't find it a problem, turn right as you come out of the hotel, then right at Michaelos after that ten minute walk brings you to the top of the strip by the Cave bar and roundabout or turn left and follow the road down to the church, keep left and take a sneaky short cut through Vanessa's pool bar and you are on the middle of the strip (that way takes about ten minutes too). The Hotel itself is faultless! Rooms have a fridge, kettle and hairdryer. Security safe and aircon available at an extra charge. Beds are comfy and there is plenty of wardrobe space and LOTS of hangers!! nice balcony with table and 2 chairs and plenty of space in the room to move around and it is spotlessly clean. Best part of it was though was that despite being on the ground floor we felt totally safe. the sliding glass doors also have sliding shutters so you can just lock the shutter doors and still get some fresh air. Lovely breakfast of yogurt, eggs, bread, croissant and cakes served outside in the courtyard area, the pool and the area surrounding it are lovely and again spotlessly clean!1 Plenty of snacks and food freshly made and reasonably priced available all day and huge portions! The thing that makes this hotel truly special has to be the way you are made to feel so welcome by Vicky and Gus, such amazingly friendly people and of course not forgetting Costas and Altin who tended to our every need and made us feel so welcome, nothing was too much trouble they were all fantastic and get 10 stars from us! Yes, the setting is quite rural and the cockerel starts quite early! but in my opinion that just adds to its appeal, honestly stay here and you wont regret it! plenty of amazing restaurants within walking distance and if you don't fancy the 25 minute walk to the beach then jump in a cab (thinks its about 6 or 7 euros) Kalamaki is a very special place for us and really does have a place in our heart and without a doubt we will be returning again to Hotel Daniel.
Just spent the final week at Zante Sun Resort before it closes for winter. We’ve had a wonderful time. The weather was perfect, full sun at 27 degrees as it apparently has been all month! And we will definitely return. We found the food was lovely, my husband loved the pizzas and cooked breakfasts (as close to an english one as you can get abroad, and yes it’s true the hash browns weren’t quite right but you can’t win them all!). I thought the pork kebabs, stuffed aubergines and gyros were AWESOME and found the breakfast Greek ‘doughnuts’ delicious. Great selection throughout the day thank you. The rooms (we were 109, newer build overlooking the top pool) are modern, airy and clean and our balcony had afternoon sun most of the morning and all afternoon. It was BOILING! Beds were so comfy, two mattresses together and to my husbands delight, separate duvets! Bathroom high spec too. Some have commented the staff seemed a bit stand-offish in the restaurant but I thought they were professional and courteous and friendly. I’d much rather that than having them being all over you and constantly interrupting your meal so I was very happy with their service!!! Really helpful staff throughout. And I am so pleased there was no entertainment!! Not everyone goes abroad for manic, noisy evenings. Although there is a Sky bar open here in busy season from 11pm-2am so if your room is near that you have to be prepared for noise. Otherwise nip along to Laganas town there’s more than enough to entertain there! And life by the pool was fab. As it was end of season there were plenty of sun loungers. A choice of 5 hotel cocktails (I really loved the Zante Sun and a Full Moon) are part of all inclusive or you can pay for the real-deal ones. Usual beer, wine, ouzo, rum, whiskey etc. available with AI too. The afternoon snacks could be a bit better than just yesterdays leftovers, but the ice cream and popcorn were very welcome! A note on water - the tap water in rooms is not for drinking. Although water is provided at mealtimes and the pool bar will give you a glass of water on request, when we enquired about having extra drinking water for our room it was suggested that we buy our own bottled water. This seemed odd until I found out later that everyone on Zante, including the locals have to buy water for drinking/cooking due to the islands having lack of water treatment facilities. Buying water was no problem, it’s so cheap in the small supermarkets nearby, but could this be better explained on arrival?? However that didn’t mar our week at all, there is a fridge in the room so anything like water etc. can be kept cool there. It really is a lovely gem of a hotel especially as I understand it’s only rated 3-star, so many thanks we’ll be back soon!!
The hotel itself, I would rate at a 4. Our room was lovely and clean, and the housekeepers were great. However, the gardens lacked attention. There were no lights on in the communal areas at night making it very difficult. The emergency light and spotlight by our apartment was permanently off / broken. Reported to the manager on 1st night and 2 weeks later, not on/ repaired. I appreciate this is likely a family run operation but this manager seemed more interested in his birds and charging people for extras. There were pet birds being kept in the bar / snack area, which routinely wasn't open beyond 7pm. The birds cages (which were kept on the bar rendering the "bar" closed) were well "used" throughout and only cleaned after guests were overheard talking about it. The amount of supplementary charges were surprising. Extra charges for: fridge (€3 per day - a HARD sell up front to try to get us to pay for the facility which we didnt use for the first week on principle), air con (€6 per day - although not uncommon anywhere), WiFi (€7 per week for 1 device - free on the nearby beach btw), ice for drinks after the first large cube (50c for 2 Ice cubes), and for boiled water (60c). Irons and hairdryers also had a surcharge. Now I am aware that all hotels have supplementary charges for air con and wifi but the amount of little tacked on extras really took us out of the moment and felt actually rather crooked. Even other businesses upon learning where we were staying made quips about the additional charges posed by this place. On to the good points now. The location is fantastic for the beach and the strip. The pool is fantastic (although could have been maintained a bit more). The decor was lovely and fresh. We had a basic, functional room with a great shower which we liked. I know i've harped on a lot about the negatives in this review but truthfully under different management i would absolutely come back. Its a pretty place in a good location, but under the existing management i wouldnt return.
