Visited Barcelona on a 3 night break for my sons birthday with my father and brother in law. Stayed at the Petit Hotel for the three nights and couldn’t recommend it more! Spotlessly clean, comfortable beds and an amazing friendly welcome from Rosa and Leo. Rosa provides us with lots of information on how to get around and gave us maps and detail on where to buy the T10 travel cards. Rosa also has the best tips for great places to eat. The personal touch at this small hotel is a real quality. We had two rooms and my son and I stayed in a room with an outside bathroom but this wasn’t a problem at all as we had a key and it was private for our use only during our stay. Mini bar in the room is a lovely touch and we used the fridge to chill our own drinks down. Hotel offered breakfast for a small charge but we didn’t use this as we were up and out each day. Hotel is in a lovely area and we all felt safe walking round even when we returned to the hotel late at night. IF you want a small and friendly hotel only a short bus/train ride into the city centre (but far away enough to escape the hustle and bustle) then the Petit Hotel is the one for you.

We had a family trip to Europe that included London, Paris, Rome , Pisa and our last stop was Barcelona. We had high expectations for Barcelona and were all very excited before our trip but sadly were very disappointed. The only positive thing about this hotel is the " location " and one of the front desk members who was very helpful, forgot her name. We were talking to a member of the staff who said he was a manager about their breakfast and how disappointed we were just to give them a feedback, and instead of hearing out our concerns we were told by him " we don't force our hotel guests to eat here " ? Basically, we were just looking for some fresh brewed coffee, not coffee from a Keuirg/Nespresso machine and scrambled eggs nothing fancy. When you pay almost $20 USD per person you would at least expect to have fresh coffee and eggs for Breakfast. We quickly realized talking to them is like talking to a wall. We had 2 adults in both rooms for 3 nights ,and they were both booked on Marriott website with each person's name , however we got 1.5 pillows ( one small not sure if it was even a pillow) 1 regular size ( which had stains - see pix) and 1 body towel / 2 small towels and 1 bottled water. They definitely do not check our reservations showing that it would be 2 people under the reservation to accommodate the need or preference from the Marriott account. Their mattress size is a full-size , smaller than queen or king size. I would think that this hotel is designed for ONE individual, as rooms and beds are super small. When we brought up the issue of only having been provided 1 of each thing, the "manager" told us that it is the guests responsibility to call the front desk and ask for an extra pillow, water and towel knowing that there would be 2 guests in each room. Their cleaning crew is insanely loud in the morning, again this is a small hotel and when someone is cleaning the hallway or the room next door - there is no way you can relax and sleep, the walls are really thin. At the check out , we mentioned these issues again nicely, and we were told again by another front desk staffer that we could have just called and ask for an extra pillow and towels, etc.... So, the question is why do we make a reservation then? 2 adults in each room , how about nothing more but just an expected service of 2 regular pillows and bathroom towels for adults... If you could afford a couple of extra bucks then you could do yourself a huge favor by staying in Marriott's other property : AC Hotel by Marriott Diagonal L´Illa . We stayed there one night , and the difference was night and day ... huge rooms , friendly staff and decent breakfast ... We don't normally write negative reviews, but this one was a must to share our experience. It was a lot of attitude from staff and not an enjoyable experience at all.

A fixed triple room with a 9-year-old child, a king size bed, next to a simple single bed, in fact a large bed is enough to sleep. The room is decorated in a good style, with a small sofa and a round coffee table. When you return to the room, you can sit down and have a cup of coffee to see the view from the window. The room we stayed in could see the Guell Park on the mountain. A little far from the subway station, you can buy 10 tickets for the subway or 48 hours for the time, but in fact, it is very convenient to take a taxi to around 10 euros. If you are willing to walk to places within 3 km, the nearest to Mila House, 1.5 km. The opposite shopping center is not bad, not all luxury goods, a lot of grounded goods, there are suitcases (we finally went shopping, the result of the luggage bought elsewhere, the price is high). There is also a Lila shopping centre about 1 km away, which is mostly a Spanish real estate brand and is worth buying. The breakfast was quite rich, the adults and children liked it, the staff was very warm, and the breakfast was taken away on the last day. It is not a self-driving tour, and it is not clear about the parking lot. In short, a very comfortable and convenient trip, Barcelona gave me a very good impression.

We stayed for a couple days in a double/w toilet/shower. If you arrive late, the keys are difficult to locate, you need to drive around to find the alternate pickup location. The keys are strange, a large key to unlock the outside building door requires direction how to use for that huge door lock. Another key for the entrance door to the hostel. The apartment building had a tiny elevator for heavy luggage out of the way the renter failed to tell us. The room was clean enough and provided towel service the next day. The shower was a retrofit, doors were on a raised floor and were 2 glass closet doors with a tight opening only for average people can get in. The room window didn't shut/lock well, was a single pane of glass and frame leaks so you know the road noise and yelling at 2am from parties was heard. The interior walls were not insulated, noises were easily hear from the next room but other renter were quiet enough. The aged bed needs to be replaced but pillows were new. The apartment room door had a flimsy keyed bathroom lock and thin hollow door not to code for apartments in our country. We jarred the door with suitcases for safety. The morning next day, the dining area at 9am was surprisingly not heated, guests were wearing winter coats to eat, the breakfast was not replenished well but had a reasonable selection to the start. The wifi is fast and works. They said in the ad parking was free but they neglected to say if you can wait 2-3 hrs daytime only to find a spot which is almost impossible for a very busy street. Otherwise public parking is 17eu pd negotiated down to 12eu cash for the parking guard when leaving, if you tell him you stayed in a hotel. Parking was a 10-15 min walk each way. Luckily, the location is central enough to enjoy the sites. This is my honest review, its critical since pricing is on the high side for the product received. Hopefully this will help others decide if this is right for them.

The room was very amazing, the decoration was very small, it is estimated that every girl would like it. But there is a fatal flaw, that is, the room has no air conditioning, it depends on the air conditioning in the living room, the temperature in the living room is very low, the room only enters a little wind, the living room Cold can not sit on the sofa. Towels feel unclean, there is a smell. Wi-Fi is very bad, can only move a chair to the door. I live in a one-bedroom suite, living room sofa is available Disassembled, a total of four people can live, but it is estimated that sleeping on the sofa will freeze. If it is not necessary to use the kitchen, it is recommended to stay at the hotel.

Stayed here for 4 nights in November 2019. Hotel was pleasant and in a good location - close to the Metro Station. Hotel seemed very small as we did not see any other guests throughout our stay and our floor only had 2 rooms. Staff were very friendly and surprised me at breakfast with a treat for my birthday as well as a bottle of Cava left in our room which was a really nice touch. Only thing we found a bit disappointing was that upon arriving back at the hotel late one night, we found the front door of the hotel entrance to be locked with a note saying the receptionist had gone away and would be back shortly, we were only left outside for less than a minute, but found this a little unprofessional. Overall a decent hotel!

This hotel is really cool. You can do your own cooking, rooms are well air-conditioned. Location is perfect for sightseeing. Metro within walking distance. Taxis outside the door if you wish to take taxi to the lovely beaches which are about 10 mins away. Well worth an early morning walk on Barcelonetta beach, nice breeze in the morning and a great start to the day.

EXE PLAZA CATALUNYA, 2 nights, €180 per night I did not expect to stay at the Exe Plaza, in fact, I had not booked it at all. My reservation at an adjacent hotel was cancelled without notice or warning. You could imagine my surprise and slowly building rage when I arrived after disembarking a 7 hour flight, fighting through the airport and a taxi ride later to find my room was unilaterally terminated. What a time to be alive. But Exe Plaza was next door and within 15 minutes I had an online reservation and 10 minutes afterwards I was standing in my room. So far so good and so grateful. The checking process was extremely efficient and likely partly aided due to the online booking. The hotel is extremely well placed within one of the busiest and most popular spots in Barcelona. If you are a tourist visiting the city then, based on location, you could ask for nothing more. There is a carousel of open top sightseeing bus tours within 30 seconds of the front door. It is also a 15 minute taxi ride to the airport from the hotel assuming the traffic is forgiving. Taxis will set you back around €20. After the location and efficient check-in, the hotel starts to be judged more closely. Exe Plaza is quiet, clean has reliable Wi-Fi throughout which is free and at no additional charge (unlike some parasitic hotels). The staff are friendly, they speak perfect English in case you do not speak Spanish: there is just about nothing they can’t do or organise for you which is great. The rooms are a very decent size given that this is a European hotel, which is often a shoebox tastefully decorated. However, it is a little austere. There is solid light wood panelling and a very large floor-to-ceiling window that allows lights to flooding throughout the room. To be honest this feels a little like a Nordic IKEA show room minus all the vases, glasses and lamps that you are subtly encouraged to buy. This means that this well sized room is very bright. The bed is very comfortable, the sheets are soft and I slept well my entire time. There is a large screen TV here as well. Lastly, there is one of the largest mirrors I’ve ever seen in a hotel in case you are looking for a full length. The showers are hot and the water pressure is reliable. There are toiletries but you will want to bring your own. There is also a nicely stocked minibar. Is there anything wrong with this hotel? No, nothing is obviously wrong. However, if you are someone who wants to stay in the middle of Barcelona and you also enjoy a hotel then you may want to do a bit more research. By enjoying a hotel what I mean is if you like something that is more luxurious, something with boutique design features, a hotel with multiple facilities such as a gym or spa: this is not the hotel for you. For example, if you are coming to Barcelona for a romantic getaway and the hotel plays an integral part in that experience, this is not going to fit the brief. That said, if you are the kind of traveller who

If I did not receive an additional fee of more than one hundred euros after leaving the hotel, I would give a full score ... The additional cost of the child is calculated to 30 euros per night, plus a city construction tax of 7.6. I remember when I was at the front desk, I told I added 20 euros per night. Besides that, the experience was excellent. The location is excellent, the seaside, the British Palace and the Baroque House can be walked by. The rooms are equipped with ritual toiletries. The beds were particularly comfortable and the rooms were cleaned clean. Families with children (2 years and older) must choose a triple room in advance.

The location is close to the airport, there is a free airport van, this is the picture, checked into this hotel. It takes ten minutes to get out of the subway when the subway is uninhabited. At night, it's better not to go alone. As soon as I checked in, I found that the heating was broken. I went downstairs to tell the front desk, but no one came to repair it. I thought it might be the night when the staff was resting. I went back the next morning and found that several people in front of me were queuing for complaints. Some complained about showers and some picked up. However, the attitude at the front desk was still very good and I have been apologizing. Then I complained, and before I returned to the room after speaking, my friend said that the staff had repaired it and it was very efficient. Tried breakfast, not particularly outstanding.

This hotel is still in a very good location. It only takes five minutes to walk to the Sagrada Familia, and the subway is next to the Sagrada Familia, and it is ten minutes to walk to the Holy Cross Saint Paul Hospital. From here, no matter if you take the subway to Camp Nou, Casa Mila, Casa Batllo, Gracia Avenue is very convenient. The room is also spacious. The reason why I beat the four stars for hygiene was that the first night I noticed that there was a curved black hair under the pillow, which was a bit disgusting. But in fact, they are cleaned every day. It is estimated that they are sticky? ? ? Hygiene in the next few days is still OK.
