Stumbled upon this excellent hotel via the internet and were we pleasantly surprised. Rooms were super clean and very comfortable. We’ve been on the road traveling Europe for 3 weeks and by far this was the best yet for our 2 day stay. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The meals were superb along with a great breakfast. The decor is very modern and tastefully dine. Congrats to the owners and staff. Although we would prefer to keep the hotel a secret it wouldn’t be fair to the rest of the world. The hotel is really good, and the room l chose was the cheapest one, imagine suite or deluxe rooms, they must be way batter. They also have a very good service, and the workers are very nice and friendly. The location from the city center is like 45 minutes walking, while considering a taxi is ok l guess as l never take a taxi in European city because they are small compared to Asia. Anyway, this hotel seems cool, and among the best ones in Ljubljana. As for the breakfast, there is nothing bad to say, it’s rich and with a great variety of foods to choose from.

I'm very satisfied, except for the geographical location, but taxis are cheap in Ljubljana. It only costs 5 euros to get from the bus station to the hotel, which is slightly more expensive than Beijing. In fact, if you take a taxi, there is no need to worry about location It's not far away, the hotel is super cost-effective, clean and comfortable, and the surroundings are very quiet. There is free chocolate powder in the room. The key is that the breakfast is too rich. I ate this and wanted to eat that. Highly recommend this hotel!

This hotel is new, clean, and centrally located. We enjoyed our spacious apartment in the basement, complete with washer and drier. The free coffee from the machine was a special treat! The truly exceptional thing for us is that I left my iPad in the room. I called about six hours after check out and the staff assured me they had it safely put aside. Because we would not be passing through Ljubljana again, they offered to send my iPad to the U.S. They researched several different options until they found an affordable way to send it. Truly above and beyond in terms of service!

The room is relatively compact, the bed is very narrow, the hardware facilities are considered to be four-star, then the parking space depends on the grab, or stop at the place where the charges are. The only good night for two nights was breakfast, very rich, fruits and vegetables are everything, fresh and updated.

Clean and tidy, service in place, convenient transportation, beautiful environment and moderate price. The lobby is on the top floor and on the seventh floor. Although the room is small, it is fully equipped and very clean. The breakfast is very rich, the display is exquisite, and it feels very organic and healthy. It is worth mentioning that the hotel is next door to the dm supermarket, all of which are German daily necessities. It is very convenient to buy some daily necessities and small gifts. The transportation is especially convenient. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from the railway station and the bus terminal. It is very convenient to go anywhere. Some comments about this hotel are hard to say. The location is superb, just behind the pink church next to the Triple Bridge, go out for a walk, shopping is super convenient, you can give this five stars! However, the service is a bit small, because the first day is a deluxe twin room, and the next few days will be a comfortable bed room. But the first day should be a comfortable twin room. The hotel explained that it was upgraded in the next few days, but we can see the picture on the Ctrip website is a comfortable room. Because the first day's room rate was more than 800 more expensive than the latter, and later Ctrip gave back a few hundred. Still Ctrip's service is good!

Finding the perfect accommodation is a rarity but this excellent apartment/hotel was one. Having received a warm welcome and a very helpful briefing on travel and other facilities we were shown to our rooms. Everything was as new, beautifully furnished and with everything one could need. One can take a bus from a nearby stop into the city (saves parking issues) and one can be on the motorway in either direction in minutes. It is a quite area but one can find a friendly bar - the Asan Bar, a pizza place and a very friendly al fresco eating house within easy walking distance. We would strongly recommend Vila Minka.

We stayed 1 night in the deluxe room and the space was perfect. We liked all the amenities. The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast (continental) is included and it's good. Parking is free and on premise. The hotel is just minutes away from Old Town, very convenient. The hotel's restaurant is next door and it's amazing!!!! I just wished the A/C would actually cool the room to a comfortable temperature. It was really hot outside and the A/C made the room a degree cooler and we needed more.

My wife and I recently stayed here for 2 nights, We;d driven from the airport and on arrival were a little confused where to park. In the end we pulled up to the barrier put the hazard lights on and walked to the courtyard and asked a young lady there. Check in is in the bakery/cafe not the restaurant, she lifted the barrier told us where to park and checked us in. Rooms are a little dated but clean, quiet and comfortable, We ate in the adjacent restaurant that night which had good food with large portions. Breakfast was decent enough, only hot offerings were scrambled eggs but there's plenty of other stuff. We got the number 6 bus the next day in to the centre from the main road, 5 minute walk from the guest house. We bought a travel card from the machine (€2) and put €3 of credit on which is enough for a return journey in to the centre. Overall a good stay and I would visit again, having the restaurant and cafe so close is very handy too.

My partner and I went to the coast for his birthday and because it looked like it was going to rain we decided to visit one of the hotel's swimming pools. I asked at the Mind Hotel which swimming pool do they recommend and the receptionist suggested the Riviera Hotel Spa & Wellness which was 2 minutes away. We paid 26€ for 2 people for 2 hours on a Sunday (6€ is every additional hour). The changing rooms are very nice and clean, so are the toilets. The showers in my opinion are not the best, because you have absolutely no privacy and you have to change from your swimmingsuits in the toilet if you don't want to be naked in front of other guests. The swimming pool itself was a little bit disapointing - yes it is big but the water is not warm enough and we had to warm ourselves under the shower or in the whirpool which did not turn on but at least it was warmer than the pool. The loungers are comfortable and even though there was a lot of people, we had no problem finding a free one.

It should be the best seaview hotel in Piran. When I saw the photo of the hotel, I decided that the choice was absolutely correct. The hotel is an old five-star hotel with luxurious facilities but slightly older. The swimming pool heating system has a water temperature of only 27 degrees, but the crystal clear water! The season we arrived in is not the peak season in February, it is relatively cold, but there is really no regret in getting close to the waters of the Adriatic Sea indoors. The breakfast was very good, the lobby was in the middle of the 11th floor and the room was going down the elevator. It was quite interesting. The last one, the hotel faces the west, watching the sunset is invincible.

Slovenia is really wellness heaven and we visit it every winter for a short family holiday. As the kids have grown in between, this year we opted for Portoroz, so that besides spa facilities we can also have some half day trip options which are here available, unlike others wellness centers (Piran is short bus ride away, and Isola and Trieste are within 30 min drive from Portoroz). This hotel was a bit dissapointing, though. On a positive side, room was spacious, clean and nice looking, bathroom was big and it also has a nice terrace. Staff was kind. Breakfast was OK, I agree with other reviews that it is same stuff every day, but still for a 4 star hotel I thought it is ok: fresh omlettes and pancakes and freshly squezzed juices were appreciated. On the negative side: Apollo is part of complex of several hotels using the same spa facilities and in order to reach pools you need to go through maze of corridors, stairs and hallways which are not appropriately heated and this is very uncomfortable. Pools are very crowded (we ended up going there only after 7.30pm when people leave for dinner) but this might be a matter of season, as we were there right after New Year's. Still, on few occassions we were not allowed to saunas as they were full. In a case you didnt get this from description at the website, like we didnt, all pools are with salt water. Spa facilities are average, unlike many other wellness hotels of 4 stars, there are no outside winter spa capacities. While masterbed was very comfy, kids' bed was really the worst ever, extremely hard, so we ended up sleeping all four in the same bed😞. Parking is also nightmare, they lack parking facilities, and seem not to be very helpful with this, and we had to move car around several times a day, which is really annoying as the hotel advertises available parking. They charge use of wardrobe, it is really not about the expense - 6eur per person, but I never came across such a practise at the wellness center. Overall, nothing special, but still decent and shortcomings were compensated by a nice area around that we enjoyed exploring.

The staff was very nice and helpful, everybody spoke english. The room we had was OK but the head board was upholstered in some synthetic leather was so used that the surface was completely rubbed off and the beach fabric below showed. Also the curtain was torn and the AC could not keep the room cool during the day. I highly recommend to ask for a remodeled room. Getting to the large pool and beach is cumbersome - you have to cross the road to get to the pool and in order to get into the ocean you have to get out of the pool area, walk around it to get to the Adriatic. It takes a few minutes... if there would be a gate from the pool it would take a few seconds. The Hotel is in Portoroz, but the truely nice old town, Piran, is maybe 2 km away. There is a shuttle service for Euro 1,50 one way. Breakfast is a buffet and for coffee I was standing in line for a while because one of the 2 machines was broken and everybody was in line at the one working machine. This was odd for being in a 5 star hotel. Make sure you gate a new room when checking in and if you like to swim you need to walk - unless you use the small pool directly at the hotel.

Hotel is newly, almost luxuriously renewed, it s nice and tidy. Good variety of food, great location, very professional staff, from the boys on the overcrowded parking, to the last cleaning lady, not differentiating between guests by their looks and supposed purchasing power. Fantastic view on the seaside, especially from captain s suits with 2 large balconies. Hotel is huge (270+ rooms), 3 floors , so there are long halls to walk to the restaurant for example. Elevators are quick and there s no long wait, pools are overcrowded for Covid era. Main thing that by my opinion could be improved is access to the sea in the front of the hotel. There s only one ladder that leads into the sea and it gets crowded even now in the autumn. In ideal scenario a few trucks of sand would make access to the sea and each much nicer.

This is a pretty hotel, in a lovely location, with many amenities, good food, and a friendly and very helpful staff. There is much to like here. There are also a few things that are just silly and annoying. The tiny lights above the bathroom mirror do NOT shine where they're needed....instead they illuminate the outside of a very ornate mirror frame. The very large, curved, and padded bed headboard meant that I had to get completely out of bed to reach my nightstand or turn on/off my bedside light. The toilet in the bath was REALLY low, with nothing around to grab....great for a 5 year old, but not for seniors with arthritis. Similarly, the majority of the trendy furniture pieces in the lobby were also very low and "squishy"....difficult to get out of. The breakfast buffet was tasty and bountiful, but located at one end of a long, fairly narrow room, filled with closely grouped tables. Navigating the crowd with a plate and coffee to find an empty table (often at the far end) was a bit challenging. All that could have been overlooked, but some things were far more serious...accidents just waiting to happen! The bathroom floor is a sheet of polished marble, without any lip etc. between the shower stall and the rest of the room. There are no grab bars in the shower, no rubber floor mats, etc......just polished marble that gets extremely slippery when wet. And, when taking a normal shower, most of the bathroom floor gets very, very wet. Bad news! In addition, there wasn't proper attention paid to hazards. The indoor/outdoor carpet at the bottom of the entrance stair had a wrinkle and a significant tear. I saw a woman stumble on it and nearly fall on the concrete. Similarly, rain seeped through the ceiling after a rain storm and left water puddles on the marble hallway to the dining room. Someone had put a rag around one of the "leaking" pillars, but the nearby puddles were ignored. My spouse stumbled on the unexpected step and almost fell into the depressed concrete foot bath in the pool house while picking up a towel. There were no signs, arrows, warnings, etc. to alert people to this danger. I think management is concentrating on glitz and style, while neglecting its responsibility to help guests avoid unnecessary aggravation and injury.

This hotel is part of a group of hotels, access to the pools are free and access to the pools in the Terme Centre are also free. Everything else in offer is at an extra charge. Room is comfortable but plastic furniture on the balcony could be updated to more comfortable version. Robes are provided in the rooms for guests but no slippers. Soap is provided but no body lotions which is odd for a spa hotel. No tea and coffee making facilities or use of iron allowed in the rooms which would enhance comfort for guests. The private beach has a grass area with sunbeds and umbrellas but even as a resident 2 sunbeds and an umbrella will cost 14 Euros per day!!! The hotel also charges per night for car parking at around 5 Euro. These extra charges are disappointing as a guest. Also no English Breakfast Tea available on most mornings, bring your own teabags if you want a nice cup of tea. The hotel is spotlessly clean, most of the staff are pleasant and helpful. If you get a good rate for the room and don't mind paying for all the extras can recommend.
