|4.39km from city centerIt was not that pleasant during the stay as myself and my family experienced a bad odor from the bathroom for the whole stay. It really made my parents upset a bit. The first when opening the room door was the bad smell from the bathroom. We thought to call the room service and request a check into the issue but then we just remained silent as we were tired and lacked sleep the overall stay was great as we could get the Genting view in the night and morning.

|8.48km from city centerI was not placing too high a hope after reading the reviews online. But when I stayed there for 3 nights, I realized my fears was unfounded. Celcom reception was good even in the room. I can even have my zoom meeting and remote access my office comp with almost no lag. Wifi at the lobby is good as well for teams . All the staff are friendly and accommodative. Even the enquiry staff replies email fast after my barrage of questions as it is my first time to Malaysia after the pandemic. The rooms are very clean. Never stepped on a cleaner floor before even in 5 star hotel. The resort gives a very nature vibe good for a break from modern life. A lot of natural elements. The pool is great to spend the day. Food nothing to scream about given it is a 3 star hotel. But is good for a decent meal. Overall is a place I can go back and spend some time unwinding and bond with family.

|4.11km from city centerThe security is really bad. As soon as we entered, a security guard asked us for the room number, and he showed him the room number that the owner gave us. He told us to go straight to the third parking space. 082 My husband took the car. After parking, we went up to 12 o'clock in the evening and there were loud shouts and loud slams on the door. We dared to open the door in the middle of the night! Went to pick up the car the next morning when I was packing up to go back who knew the wheels were locked by security! I contacted Baoan and they said they needed 50 ringgits to unlock the door. I had no choice but to give it to them and asked why the door was not opened when we called last night! 🙄 It's 12:00 in the middle of the night and it's on the mountain again 🙄😢

Location is good and access to food is good. This stay wws rather unpleasant..based on my previous stays..i did not check the sheets and the next morning discovered that the dheets wete stained with traces of what looked likw blood. Maybe this was a rare incident..nevertheless keep up your good services

|4.62km from city centerThe resort looks neat and beautiful where is surrounded by vegetation. When the first time we drive to this resort, we were scared of where is quite an outskirt location. But not too bad is not that deep into drive-in is just about 5 min from that small little town. In fact, is a really convenient location which near to those shops from the little town They take the SOP seriously where they did maintain the social distancing, scan our My Sejahtera apps, and provide us the hand sanitizer. We were greeted by the guard who are very friendly and dedicated. The room in GRV was the great one, very huge like a suite room with wide space, beautiful view and the shower heater was working perfectly with high pressure. The receptionist by the name of Fazila (who work in this property for 3 years plus) who handle our check-in and check-out process was efficient with a courtesy maner and helpful. We will never forget of Fazila's hospitality that she demonstrated. Keep up the good work Fazila and her team.

Room is ok, breakfast was ok not so tasty, facilities very good, swimming pool is big and the view while swimming is so breathtaking.. They also have walking distance cafe and steamboat nearby the hotel.. You won't regret if you planning to stay here.. Only a few weakness hotel management need to improve
1. Cleanliness of the cup, the housekeeping did not wash the cup
2. Certain room lamp is broken and make the room darker at night
3. No dustbin in toilet while other room have
4. NO FRIDGE.. Its so sab because it's basic requirement.. I bring a lot of drinks but all i need to throw away because basi. All my picnic food also basi
5. Aircon in certain room not so cold
6. TV got a lot of issues base on the room, no channel, tv red colour, tv freeze every 2 min.
I book room NO 2993-2995 and room 2995 almost perfect without any weakness except the glass is dirty and oily the housekeeping is not washing it.. Other room got the above issue i stated
Overall for relaxing is highly recommended.. Of u want good room, this hotel is not for u
But the view from top only cherengin hills have it! You won't get it in any hotel

Overall check in was easy, except you have to make deposit into someone's personal account which was kinda odd if you prefer online transfer.
The place given was nice, I booked the one with a balcony. And to my surprise there was a washing machine and dryer so that was a bonus. Other facilities was just your basic apartment stuff. Swimming pool area had a nice view but if you go on a public holiday, expect it to be jam packed.
My only complaint is that the apartment that we got was without airconds (cheapskate owner) as it can be be hot during day time and we struggled like crazy to close the balcony sliding door. And if waiting for the lift to go up to the swimming pool or the carpark can really test your patience. Also, flimsy towels and limited too and also really China cheap toiletries. And becareful as the swimming pool had an expose electric wiring that they only cover with a rubber floor mat! (refer photo)
But other than that, it was an OK stay.

1. Room service closed very early at 9pm. 2. Requested for extra bottle of water and sewing kit and slippers on day 2 morning till the time I check out, nothing came at all (request made thru qr code).

|25.25km from city centerDecided to take a short break in the hills of tanahrimba and this place looked pretty decent.Quite far from the main highway but the road leading to this resort was decent Check-in took some time as the receptionist didnt have any records of our booking with booking.com.There are 2 buildings,one,where the reception was located,was older but looked great.the other,which was about 250meters away was newer but looked unfinished Staff were great.Surrounding gardens were nice The set breakfast was very simple but nice No lift to rooms,so,if you have difficulty walking up steep steps,maybe not the place for you.No restaurant also,so pack your dinners/lunches

Hotel is great for families. We booked the sixer room as the quad room has been reviewed by other guests that it is far away from lobby.
Our sixer room was just above the lobby at level 2. Space was enough for our family of 5 with toddler and we had a connecting room. Our room had a bunk bed. So in total there were 3 queen beds. 2 beds on the bottom and 1 on the bunk bed.
Location wise is very convenient as the theme parks, restaurants and supermarket is just right in front of the hotel.
There is also a small playground for kids at the lobby reception.
Cons
The bathroom has a separate cubicle for toilet and shower. But the bathroom has no door!
You would have to change your clothes in the shower cubicle. I have never stayed in a hotel where the bathroom has no door, so if you are staying with a big group just be prepared😊
Room has no fan but it is cold outside so not a problem for us during our stay.
Breakfast buffet location is not in the hotel. It is in the indoor themepark premise so you need to walk 10-15 minutes for breakfast.
Otherwise great stay for families and reasonable price too if you are sharing.

However, we have a few things that would like to be addressed and hopefully will be improved for better services in the future.
1. No clear instructions for check in - we had to walk carrying all our things across different building, end up the hotel lobby told us to call the number at our booking to get the keys. Plus we have to paid the parking fee which is too expensive for entry less than 30mins. I’ve come with families therefore it was very troublesome to walk the distance due to misunderstanding.
2. Deposit - Rm200 was charged for room deposit which was in my opinion, quite ridiculous. If it was only RM100 it would be great. Furthermore, we have to pay deposit on the spot upon receiving keys, however, the refund will be processed within 24hours which was very absurd. We hope that it would be processed within 2hours max so that it would be great for customer’s experience.

|2.99km from city centerExcellent location. Just a short distance exiting the Karak Highway at the East Bentong exit. The resort is 10 minutes away from town. It's so convenient to shop or go out for meals. Cosy Balinese style rooms, wood panels, walls and doors. The rooms are fully air-conditioned. There's ample parking lots inside. Receptionist is available 24 hours. Sadly missing, no swimming pool, and the restaurant is closed since the Covid pandemic. But since it's just 10 minutes away from town where there's plenty of good restaurants, it's no issue at all. Bottled water and coffee is free and there's a kettle, so there's always the option of cooking instant noodles or other fast cooked meals using boiled water, if you do not wish to go out in the middle of the night. Free WiFi is available but the signal is not strong if your room is further away from the reception area. If you have a Malaysian SIM card, reception is 4G anytime.

I revisit this property (as no much choice left for 4-5 star hotels in Resorts World Genting, at this point of time), and what does impressed me is the check-in process. I remembered previous check in usually took long and not well organized, front desk staffs not attentive, kind of messy but this time, they impressed me. When I reached the lobby, I was greeted by a front desk staff, escorted you to the sitting areas meanwhile prepare the check in procedures. The staffs are more attentive to guests arrival experience now and you can never felt being left out (like last time). While room is well maintained, clean, and welcome fruits and mask provided too (last time no welcome fruits though!) Overall, service quality is improved and keep it up, Highlands Hotel.
