Loved my stay here! This was at least my 6th time to New Orleans, but only my second stay outside of the Quarter (previously stayed in the Garden). The staff was awesome and very friendly. The hotel is newly renovated and I loved the decor in the hallways and rooms. I got the King with "study" since I worked one of my days remotely, and it was a perfect setup. The bed slept very well, and I appreciate the "efficiency" of the room - with decorative closets which artfully hid the hangers (which sat vertically versus a traditional closet setup). Also, this location had one of the best breakfasts I've seen at a Hampton! Everything was fresh. I did get lost getting here, and it took my a couple of goes to learn the confusing area around the Causeway. I first took the wrong exit (Causeway South, when I need to stay straight to the North exit from the airport off the I10), and then I literally drove right past the hotel and had to loop around Veterans (and finally saw it when I looked up!). Beyond this, the hotel is well approximated to multiple locations, including being in walking distance to the mall, Acme Oyster House, and less than a mile from Drago's. Additionally, because it was literally right on the highway, I was no more than 15min from the airport or downtown/Quarter. I will definitely stay here again on a future trip!

This place was perfect for us. We cruise a lot and like to find hotels with parking packages. We were a little concerned because the hotel doesn’t offer a shuttle to the cruise terminal. However, they arranged transportation for us and everything went perfectly. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. There is ample parking if you plan to leave your car while cruising. The breakfast was hot and several great choices. In the evening they had a complimentary Managers buffet with beer and wine...nice treat. As for returning to the hotel after the cruise, it was a breeze. Just a bit of advice...utilize the services of a porter because they by pass the long taxi line and get you all settled in your cab without any hassles. The cab fee was $ 16 from the pier. Plus a tip. Not many restaurants are walkable, but there are several that deliver. We ordered Chinese..delivered. Great stay..highly recommend The staff was friendly and accommodating

On 12/07/2019 me and my fiancé were in New Orleans and booked a room at this Fairfield in Metairie. This was absolutely without a doubt the WORST hotel experience we have ever had. It’s was my 28th birthday weekend and at the time I was about 6 weeks pregnant and had just found out the wonderful news. Me and my fiancé decided to take a last minute trip New Orleans because we had never been. After walking around the French quarter for nearly 7-8hours we went to check in about 9:45-10pm 12/7/19. Their was a couple in front of us that I over heard the receptionist named Vonnie let know that the room they booked was unavailable. The husband so I would presume got really upset stating “why the h*** not I just booked this room 10 minutes ago.” Vonnie went back and forth to the back came back and stated she made accommodations and he would be able to get his room. Now it our turn to check in, I went to the desk and after paying for my room Vonnie handed me my room card key and stated I had a double double room. My fiancé and I was about to head out to the car for the luggage when I suddenly remembered I book a room with a king bed. I went back to the desk and nicely asked the receptionist Vonnie “hey I booked a king room is their any reason I wasn’t able to get it.” Her response was “because it ain’t available.” So I responded “well I over heard you tell the couple infront of is their room was unavailable is there any reason we didn’t get the same courtesy? She rudely stated “because I ain’t gotta do it and you shouldn’t have been listening to the people’s conversation infront of you.” Shocked and in disbelief I asked if she had and attitude? She then said “no but you can get out of my hotel.” I had just paid $170 and been walking around New Orleans all day pregnant could you imagine? Next, Vonnie called what I presume to be the Assistant General Manager named Clifton Robinson and told him she had a customer on the premises that was threatening her? I never made any threats. She also racially profiled my fiancé and called the police. She called the police and while on the phone she screamed “get out of my face get out of my face oh my God there is and African American male with a black hoodie on and I’m scared.” Me not my fiancé was never within 10feet of this woman. Never made any threats. I only ever asked why was I not able to get the room or courtesy like the previous customers. While the police were on the way me and my fiancé patiently waited to show we had done nothing and never brought any harm to this woman Vonnie. We were told by Metairie police department that she was the protector of the premises so we had to go. I told the officers that is not a problem because at that point I did not want to stay somewhere with such poor belligerent nasty customer service and I asked for a receipt. Vonnie and the police stated several times it was a pending charge and my money worked be refunded within 7business days. That I WOULD N

This is definitely going to be our place to stay when we come back to New Orleans! We stayed four nights here and we loved it. When we first pulled up, I was a little concerned with the set-up, because I didn’t realize that the hotel was not like most Comfort Inns we have stayed at. The parking structure, the lobby, the whole thing worried me about parking our car etc. Well the super friendly check in lady, (I wish I had gotten her name) helped with all of our concerns. She was so helpful in getting us into our room and into the parking structure and made it so easy. Our room was in the tower and it was a huge suite. We were able to use our Choice points for this stay and it was well worth it. We had a huge living room, couch, table and chairs, bar, refrigerator, microwave, desk, and king bedroom suite with Jacuzzi tub. The bathroom was very large with a large shower stall and plenty of room to move around. Everything was clean and comfortable and there was even a nice laundry area for guests on our floor too. The Parking structure was easy to park in and parking was right at the door by the elevators. It was a nice experience that everything always smelled clean and fresh even when coming in from the parking garage. Such a relaxing room and comfortable stay. The Breakfast was decent. It consisted of bacon, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, grits, and waffles. The only down side was that there were not enough seats for the size of the hotel. We ended up taking our food back to our room, which for us was fine, because we had a table there, but for others it may not be that convenient. All of the staff that we encountered were super friendly and they asked how were enjoying our stay and if we needed anything. Even one of the maintenance workers coming in from outside who happened to be in the elevator with me asked about our stay. We really liked the location of this hotel. We weren’t too far out of New Orleans, convenient to the highway, food, shopping and restaurants if we needed them. We have friends that live in Metairie so this was convenient to there as well. I would definitely recommend this hotel to stay at when in the New Orleans area.

One of the better Extended Stay hotels I've stayed at. I've been traveling with work for the past 2 years and have stayed at several Ext stays and Suburban Lodge's around the Southeast. The Ext stay America hotels in Alabama are awful yet you go over two states to this one and it's totally different. They should have these people running the entire southeast. This Ext Stay in metarie was a welcome oasis for a while. Exterior looks good and rooms are pretty darn good. Staff has their hands full with alot of rooms and transient guests. They work really hard here- as in they hustle. Manager here runs a tight ship. She her staff have a "can do" attitude and will go out of way to accomodate you. They will also address noise complaints quickly and diplomatically for you. It's mostly working people on here at the hotel right now. Hotel is centrally located between the city and the airport. Its right around the corner from Whole Foods market.

I was moving from san Antonio Texas to Montgomery Alabama and had dogs with me, it's hard to find a place to stay with dogs. The breakfast was a nice snack to have when we left, we still had a little ways to go and that helped us from not having to stop to get something.

This is our first trip to NOLA and we wanted some place that was central to the airport and downtown. This hotel met our needs nicely, including a great price. The bed was comfortable. The room had a fridge and coffee maker. I’ll probably stay at this location again.

The staff were simply terrific...from the valet to M club hostess all were very friendly and helpful. The French Onion dip was obviously made on site and was outstanding as was the gumbo. Rooms were clean and well furnished however there is a lot of noise if the next door's room door is adjacent to yours. Need to buffer the doors as the door slammping shut woke us up early.

Hotel was average - clean, quiet, nothing fancy. I loved the location - near tons of food locations and the airport. I stayed here the night before I flew out. No parking fee was a huge consideration- and I felt that my car was secure . If you're looking for the "city" feel, you might want to pass this one by and head into downtown NOLA where you will pay $30-40 for parking and almost double in room rate. But if you are looking for a decent hotel with very helpful staff, I'd recommend this one.
