HORRIBLE AND TRAUMATIC EXPERIENCE IF YOU SUFFER AN ACCIDENT AT THIS HOTEL, THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE AND ARE NOT INTERESTED IN YOUR PHYSICAL INTEGRITY. A few months ago I stayed at this hotel. I am allergic and I had a STRONG ALLERGIC REACTION caused by some cleaning product that they use in the rooms. I am still awaiting the ANSWER to the document that I sent to Mr. Zarikian President of the Eurobuilding Hotel. I have traveled to several countries in the world, I have stayed in different hotels and I have never had such a NEGATIVE AND UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE. I FEEL INDIGNATED, my human rights were violated at this hotel In the room I felt bad, I called EMERGENCY AND AFTER ONE HOUR two security people showed up and the manager Ms. Katiuska who told me they will take me to a CLINIC BUT THAT NEVER HAPPENED. THEY LEFT ME WAITING FOR SIX HOURS IN A WHEELCHAIR, (I COULDN'T WALK AS BAD I FEELED) for the doctor who works in this hotel to arrive .. they could take me to the clinic but they never did. When the doctor that works at the hotel arrived, the only thing she did was visualize me, she did not take my blood pressure or any type of examination, she told me that I had an allergic reaction. The doctor also told me that I should go to an Allergologist specialist and that the hotel COVER the EXPENSES of the medical appointment with the Allergologist, but this never happened. Mr. Sergio Renault Manager of Security told me that I was invited to a play at the hotel and that they do everything possible for that I stay a few days at the hotel on another occasion so I could enjoy the hotel. I thought they wanted to compensate me for some way before everything that happened. After I left the hotel. UNTIL TODAY THEY NEVER COMMUNICATED WITH ME, THEY WERE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR COVERING NOTHING, THE MEDICINES PROMISED, NEITHER THE APPOINTMENT, THEY DID NOT GIVE ME MY MEDICAL REPORT AND LESS COMPLY WITH EVERYTHING THEY OFFERED ME. UNUSUAL FOR A HOTEL OF THIS CATEGORY TO HAVE A STAFF AND MANAGEMENT WITHOUT VALUES, THE LACK OF SERIOUSNESS AND COMMITMENT IN THEIR WORD, DEMONSTRATES THEY LACK OF INTEGRITY.

I was not happy, I was going to order a meal at the hotel. The price changed and the price changed. The food service was a big bully. I took the price and gave me a wrong price. Let him have an electronic bill to tell me where the system has problems. Wrong, but 10 times the price. crazy.

The hotel lies just off the Gran Sabana, in one of the areas which are safer of this part of Caracas. Staff are helpful (as much as they can), the room I got was large, clean and well kept; the bathroom was also quite large. While the hotel definitely shows the passing of time since its opening, it is well maintained and I found it appropriate for a mid-range hotel. Breakfast was rather basic, but it did the job. There is a Guardia Nacional checkpoint just between the hotel and the Gran Sabana, but they never stopped me, I had no problems walking around.

As a Marriott Gold member and soon Platinum Elite I consider my review to be objective and englobing of different Marriott brands and hotels worldwide. Furthermore, this is my fourth stay in Caracas at the Renaissance in the past year and it only gets better each time. I believe updating my reviews is important as things change so quickly in Venezuela that having accurate and up-to-date information on Caracas and Venezuela is important for both the business and leisure traveler. First of all, everything from the check-in process to the check-out process was flawless. Check-in was extremely quick and before I knew it, I was off to my room. Being a Marriott Gold member, I appreciated the nice view of the Avila that was offered to me. Special thank you to Yonande Gomez for the quick check-in process and his warm welcome. The front desk staff was especially attentive as I was leaving the hotel for a couple hours; I would let them know I would be away and I would appreciate a room refresh. They would always make sure my room was nice and clean by the time I came back. Special thanks to Luis Useche for his friendly and professional demeanor. Otherwise, the room and sleep quality was great, rivaling any other Marriott property I have frequented in Europe, North America or Asia. The room was modern with many AC and USB plugs. The TV was fully functioning with an HDMI plug-in and there was a fully functioning safe box in the room. Furthermore, there was excellent water pressure from the shower and nice warm water at all hours of the day. I'd like to praise the front desk staff one more time with them being able to deal with an incident late at night on a Wednesday. As I was arriving home from a night out on the town at around 4AM, to my surprise, upon arriving in my room, the fire alarm was on. The noise was absolutely unbearable. However, the issue was swiftly resolved. I called the front desk staff and immediately a gentleman was there trying to fix the fire alarm. As the fire alarm could not be fixed in a timely manner, a replacement room was offered to me, where I could rest in peace while my main room was fixed. Thank you once more to the front desk staff for the swift and courteous solution. Otherwise, reviewing the rest of the amenities: The gym rivals any hotel gym I've frequented in North America. Nice, clean, and modern. The pool is cute and picturesque. The common rooms are also clean and modern, even offering a steam room. Furthermore, to finalize the review, the hotel lobby was gay, joyful, and brilliantly illuminated and decorated. The service at the hotel lobby bar was stupendous and extremely professional. Even my business partners who tend to be gloomy and pessimistic had nothing but great things to say about the hotel lobby bar. Otherwise, another detail I greatly appreciate from the Renaissance hotel lobby staff is the smile they keep on their face. While the economic-social situation of the country may be difficul

I stayed at the grand Melia Caracas for one night recently to be in Caracas for our flight home. The hotel rate was reasonable considering the other five star hotels in the city and what they are charging. The hotel itself is old but still has an air of grandeur about it. Room was large and comfortable although we were hit by an initial musty smell on entering but did not bother us. We had the traditional breakfast and it was tasty however some items were not cooked fresh and reheated which was a shame. We felt safe at all times and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The hotel is attached to a shopping center with functioning movie theater and food court with the likes of McDonald’s and KFC. Metro station is five minutes walk away. We arranged an airport transfer and this was a much higher rate then a regular taxi which you can get easily at the shopping center but better to pay the extra and have piece of mind safety wise. We visited the spa and had massages. The massages were amazing and the spa and gym facilities are good but again dated, the spa needs a refurbishment but given the situation in Venezuela at the moment the faults we found were understandable and forgivable. All in all a safe, clean and central place to stay in Caracas.m at a reasonable rate when you compare with other hotels for international travelers.
