I am really glad I found this place and have stayed here several times now in preference to higher priced accommodation for less service and quality. The rooms are spacious, have all the facilities and there is off street car parking. There is a Pack 'n Save about 600 meters down the road so you can get food to prepare in the room if you want to with a fully serviced kitchenette. Sky TV and free wifi for guests. There are every range of takeaway food in the vicinity of the Pack 'n Save and in the other direction about 300m away is the Brew'd Bar which has a good menu and wine and beer, and suitable for families and a lovely outdoor area for summer. More selection of restaurants is in Petone about a 10 minute drive to the south. Boulcott Lodge is also only 300m from the main entrance to Hutt Hospital and about 3 minutes from State Highway 2 north and south (Wellington is about 15-20 minutes away with no traffic). The host is very friendly and welcoming and I have found it fuss free staying here.

We were lucky to choose Green Gables for our stay. Jodie was a fantastic host as we had to make plans are very short notice and she was able to move things around to fit us in. The motel units are spotless and well appointed with very comfortable beds. They are warm and quiet and close to takeaways, cafes, supermarkets and walking distance to the hospital. Thanks again, Jodie

I have stayed here for work a couple of times before. They were tolerable at best. Usually I book only a couple of weeks before travelling, so this is one of few available places with vacancy. After my latest stay however, I sent an email to my company to request they do not book me in this place again. During my latest trip, these were the issues: The first room I was allocated on the surface looked ok as i entered it, but it had no work desk or table to undertake computer work, which I usually spend 4 hours at night doing. The bathroom under the sink there was black mould on the wall. After removing the hygiene seal from the toilet, i was met with a big brown cr@p left by the previous.guest. Hygiene seal? Yeah nah. And it was a reflection of the rest of the place. I asked for another room which I was given. The second room was literally 10 meters or less from the train line, although that didn’t bother me. There was no desk, but a table and chair. However the table was disgustingly dirty, the varnish had worn off and there were stains all other it, and it was sticky. Absolutely yuk. For three nights of the week, there were very rowdy guests in the above room, who from like 10pm to about 1am, were banging a ball against the wall, playing some sort of ball game. Literally drove me nuts and could not sleep. When I advised the front desk after the second night and told them due to to He noise I got no sleep until after 1 am, they said “yeah i didn’t either cause i was working” This place advertises on google as a 4 star hotel. Its not, it would lucky to be a 2 star motel. There are many other instances that went on at this place that i can only make assumptions about, so wont mention them. However, i will never stay at this place again.

We got stranded in the Wellington area due to a personal accident and so ended up spending eleven days at Champers Motor Inn. It is located in a mostly quiet neighborhood and offers easy parking in case you have a car. It is also located just minutes away from the Western Hutt train station that offers trains every 30 minutes into Wellington (except for weekends when there are no trains). I am, saying mostly quiet, as on the back of the property is a contractor storage yard that tends to load/unload metal pipe scaffolding already in the early hours. So, try to get a room towards the front of the motel if you want to sleep in. The rooms are very large (we had a one bedroom suite) and are fairly well equipped. There was a small kitchenette equipped with basic dishes and cutterly, a small fridge, a large flat screen TV, an iron and an ironing board. There is also a hot water maker so you can actually make your own breakfast if you like (instant coffee and tea is provided). Parts of thr bathrom habe been updated (sink) but other parts still need to be done (bath tub). Management is very nice and helpful. I had to print out a fairly large number of documents while I was there and they willingly obliged for a small fee. The one downside of the place is the daily housekeeping. It appears the cleaning staff is really geared towards nightly rentals as they do a minimum of housekeeping if you stay for a longer period. They will empty the trash, pull the sheets in the bed tight and provide fresh towels. That is basically all. They are in and out in under 5 minutes. During the time we were there the crew of three would not clean the wash basin or the bath tub. There was no sweeping or vaccuming of the floors and if we had not specifically asked for it they would not have changed the sheets in the entire eleven days. So clearly management has to get on top of them as they are simply a bit too comfortable and, so far, appear to get away with it. The internet is free and of high quality. You can actually stream movies with it. Unfortunately the signal did not cover the entire suite. One could only get a good signal in the front of the room but not the bedroom. There is a small self service laundry on site where you can do a wash and dry for NZ$ 2 each. Overall, the place would be very good if the housekeping would be improved but as it is, it is only average.

I stayed here purely by chance after a meeting when I was scouting about for lodgings. What I found was a superb room. It was pristine; bathroom was very clean and the cooking facilities were as new. I cannot rate this hotel highly enough !! There were restaurant facilities aplenty just a couple of hundred yards down the road. 1st class stay.

We have stayed on a number of occasions at this motel and have found it to be clean, comfortable and warm. We chose this motel because we can take our small dog and that is appreciated. However since a change of ownership it is now necessary to walk along the street to another motel to collect the room key. There is no one on duty at this motel. This is a major inconvenience especially if it is cold windy or wet. When we arrive at a motel we expect to be able to get to our room without delay.

Stayed at Quest Petone for several nights. Discrete entry to the property, but once inside it's a clean and tidy boteque hotel. Warning: car park must be reserved in advance and is charged. We had booked via online booking site and there was no mention of this. For the first night we had to park on the street, but we were able to secure parking for subsequent nights. Staff at reception were very helpful and pleasant. The room was clean and tidy. Has a full kitchen and laundry (both washer and drier) in the room. Also a balcony with clothes horse, so laundry can also dry naturally. Would have appreciated a bit more hot water pressure in the shower, it was adequate but could have been better. The room is fully equipped for self catering. There are supermarkets nearby. Rail station is about 15 minutes walk. Buses pass by a few steps from the property on the main road and the beach is a five minute walk away. Happy to stay here again.

Stayed here 4 nights, tidy enough I suppose, shower was good. Muddled car parking where it’s a free for all. Uncomfortable beds but when u get exhausted u do eventually sleep. On the positive good location to Jackson street in Petone and with beach across road, I suppose that’s why they charge a premium. Most expensive hotel of our trip, we stayed in one in Picton that was a palace compared to this and was $80 less per night

There is a problem with the website's contact with the hotel. The website has a "windowed" room, but the order received by the hotel is a room. In order not to be a client problem, the customer must report to the hotel. Although the hotel tries its best to assist, Because of the large number of reservations in the past few days, it was finally resolved by "moving rooms" and "raising prices". In addition, the hotel's breakfast is NZ $ 19.5, but the website charges NZ $ 22. My doubt is that the breakfast was originally ordered for convenience, but it was higher than the actual cost on site. What is the reason? ? Although the difference is not big, but two people staying for 3 days, I can eat one more breakfast for one person. Such a website makes me feel insecure.

The hotel is super spacious with one big bed and one small bed. Enough for a family of three The big bed is also big enough for three people to sleep. Sanitation is also good, other facilities are the same as ordinary hotels. The stay is quite comfortable, and there is also a sofa and coffee table. If you don't want to go out to eat, it is a good choice to pack it back to the hotel. The hotel has a gym and sauna, but I don't have one. Could not comment.

The hotel is small and the entrance is small, but Christchurch is not big enough to walk. Our room has a large window with a nice view. Next to the hotel is the Shunfeng Restaurant, too oily. There is a small street diagonally opposite, a place to eat and a souvenir shop. Going to the botanical garden and boating for almost 15 minutes, it's not bad, you can help call a taxi.

I booked for my daughter who had an overnight stay as she had a flight the next day. Her first words to us after she was checked in was, 'This is a really nice place'. It was within walking distance of many stores, and very close to the airport (and they provided her with an airport transfer). They were extremely helpful and even helped her search for her passport when she thought she might have lost it. Rooms are clean, comfortable and well priced. I will definitely recommend them.

Our standard room has two 1.5-bed beds and 3 breakfasts. The room is large enough for the city center. It is convenient to visit the Museum Botanical Garden and the Avon River. The breakfast is rich and the bacon sausages are fried. It is the most in our trip. Ok, by the way, the city center is empty, no residents are very deserted at night, next time you will choose the Riccarton area, where the popularity is strong.

The location is superb, just behind the cathedral, using a historic building and opening the side door, it took a bit of effort to find it. The hotel room is loft form, downstairs is the living room (with kitchen, all facilities are available), upstairs is the bedroom, the facilities are a bit classic. Hotel parking is charged (20 days). Parking service is provided. The car is just driven to the door (the service is very good, but we are used to self-help instead of this aristocratic service), and then drive out the next day when needed. I also put two water bottles very intimately. Overall experience is good!

This free trip, with my daughter stayed at this hotel for 6 nights, the room is small (consistent with the picture provided by the hotel), there is a small kitchen, refrigerator, microwave, knife, fork, spoon, bowl and plate. Neat and clean, coin-operated washing machines and dryers on the first floor (persons have cleanliness, not used), around the countdown supermarket, walk to Bus Interchange less than 5 minutes, walk through High Street to the city center for about 10 minutes. After buying the ticket, book the shuttle bus on the airport online in advance, share ride minibus (about 10 people) one way NZD$15/person, airport and hotel round-trip, only 2-3 hotel passengers in the middle, both on time and convenient, around The bus extends in all directions. At the bus terminal Bus Interchange, I bought a Metro Card bus ticket. There is bus No. 17 at the entrance of the Central Library ***chester (library) next to the hotel. After Bus Interchange, you can reach the entrance of the museum (also at the entrance of the botanical garden). There are various round trips at the entrance of the museum. The long-distance scenery of the shuttle bus, the Visitor Centre (I-Site) in the Art Centre near the museum, provides travellers with a variety of activities, but it is also the cheapest online. The Lone Star Western Restaurant Bar on the nearby ***chester St street is very tasty and feels Thai-style and highly recommended. I want to live here next time in Christchurch.

We just stayed for a very short time (midnight to 6am) When we arrived, it was difficult to get into the hotel. Hopefully there was a random person who helped us. Then you have to call the guy in charge (there was nobody at the front desk). The person came quite fast and was very nice to us. He helped us to book a cab for the the morning after. Room was VERY small, though the bed was one of the most comfortable we slept in.

This is a Chinese-owned motel located in the heart of Riccarton, next to the Chinese supermarket, about 4-5 kilometers from the center of Christchurch. We live in a two-bedroom apartment. The facilities and equipment are a bit dated, but they are still in normal use. The upper and lower floors of the room, each with a bedroom and bathroom, can be used for cooking, which is suitable for a family. The price is relatively satisfactory.
