The Hotel Centrale, centrally located as its name indicates, has undergone capital restorations, just about finished. Everything is spanking new and the wi fi works nicely. Same goes for the elevator. Matresses are good. What else? No Food section yet but plenty of bars and eateries around. Este is a charming town of the Veneto, not spoiled and full of character, has a first rate national Museum of Antiquities splendidly appointed and excellent restaurants (see my reviews as well). The most remarcable feature of the hotel, though, are the owners who step in to help at every stage.I was here for a convention but might return just for the fun of it

I booked on Booking.com a single room in this hotel for my girlfriend, to make up for a "technical" problem she had (she missed a connection-flight, and had to wait for the next one). The hotel location is fantastic, in the centre of the town. Her windows opened onto the magnificent view of the city castle. The staff is very gentle and collaborative. The room was spacious and the bathroom was very clean. My girlfriend told me that from her room, which was overlooking the castle, at night you could hear some noise due to traffic, as it is on the same side of one of the main streets of the town. That could be a little detrimental to general confort of the room, but, to say the truth, that did not ruin her experience at the hotel.

This was an annual twinning visit when Este invites all its 7 twin towns to a long weekend of events and gatherings. This is my 3rd visit and the third time that I have stayed at the Beatrice Hotel. The Hotel is situated just out of the town centre on the other side of the Castle from the main square, it takes about 7-8 minutes to walk either way. The Hotel has been recently taken back into the management of the family who own it and in the last two years has undergone considerable renovation. They have even more plans going forward which sound very exciting. The Hotel is a very typical 1960’s design but is and has been tastefully renovated. It is always immaculately clean and inviting and all the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We were booked in on a B&B basis since most evenings there were events or meals organised by the Este Twinning committee. Breakfast is typical continental with a wide choice so you would never go hungry. We had a jovial conversation with the management about the toaster, it needs replacing with something a little quicker and better. We stayed in one evening for dinner which cost 23 euros for 2 courses including a glass of wine, the food was to an exceptional standard, highly recommended. We stayed in a renovated double room with en-suite, air-con and TV. Stylish décor but (in our opinion) lacking suitable storage space for anyone staying 7 nights, as we did. No drawers, no wardrobe, just shelves and a hanging rail built into an alcove with just 4 hangers. A shelf with TV but little space for anything else, bedside tables and I upright chair. The en-suite was modern and clean but rather small. Bedding and towels were immaculate as was the servicing of the room. The room would have benefitted from tea and coffee making facilities. It appears that rooms are more geared to a one or two day stays rather than tourists spending a week in Este. It felt as though we were living out of a suitcase. Having said all that, it is meant as constructive criticism, we will return to the Beatrice, hopefully next spring for the town’s Flower Festival. The Double Room, including breakfast for two people ranged from 68 euros to 73 euros per night which we felt was acceptable.
