Located just right in the center of old Potenza. The stuff is friendly and always available to help you. The Rooms are warm, cleaned and have basic necessary things such as soap, shampoo , hair drier (no conditioner , no body lotion, no shower gel, no vanity kit , no slippers and no dress gown ) Free Wi Fi. The walls are thin so you hear all possible noises . Breakfast is simply , juices, croissants, cereals, jams, yoghurt, tea , coffee and water. Is not my first stay in this hotel. There are renovated rooms and old rooms. First time I stayed in a renovated room and of course it was better, this time I stay in old room and is a totally dfferent Feeling. No complains though as it is warm and clean and I come here only to sleep. I recommend this hotel for those who travel on budget and who wants a fare value for money. If I will be back here again? Yes I will :-)

Loved this place when first here a few years ago and returning was always my intention. About 10 minutes outside of the city and right near the highway, it provides easy access to many destinations. Have your GPS at hand as it is somewhat hidden way and the area itself is rather plain. Once you enter the grounds its like finding an oasis. The grounds are beautifully decorated and landscaped. There are gardens areas and a quite sizable pool to enjoy in warmer months. They are highly rated in the area and are host to many special occasions as their service and food are exceptional. The rooms range from regular to large sized, all being provided with very comfortable beds as well as the full range of comforts such as flat screen tv, wifi, and step in showers. A very fine breakfast is included and while not included their dinner is worth trying as the food quality and service is outstanding. What makes this place truly worth visiting however is the staff. It's a family run business and they exemplify the meaning of Italian hospitality. They are warm and generous people who take genuine pleasure in making your experience a good one. You will have good memories of your stay and of the family and like myself, you will want to return when next in Potenza.

We selected this hotel for its location and facilities; on the plus side it is opposite a flight of steps that lead to the old city and as we discovered for ourselves if you cross the road and take upward sloping road to the left you can get into the old city with NO steps. The hotel has a parking garage 50 meters away that costs 12 Euros (this needs to be booked separately with the hotel as there is limited space) and street parking nearby is very limited as is Potenza in general. Views from the back of the hotel are spectacular this includes the rooms and the breakfast room. The rooms were clean and comfortable and of reasonable size for a city centre hotel. On the minus side the rooms were a little tired and in need of some renovation with marked furniture and the bathroom could have done with a refresh, also some of the advertised facilities were not available. We had planned to eat in the hotel as the reports were good, when we asked for the menu at around 17:00 hrs we were informed that the restaurant was closed. There was nothing up in reception or the room to indicate that although it was a Friday the restaurant was closed. No apology was offered for this. When we asked about eating a dinner a restaurant we where given the name of a restaurant in the city that we never found - we eventually found a pizzeria, then a small restaurant called Goblins. When we eventually returned we asked why the restaurant was closed and were informed that ‘the chef was on holiday’? We were going to have a drink in the bar but it in darkness. Not quite the last night of our trip as planned.

This place is a real hidden gem. I happened to find myself alone in this B&B for almost two weeks at the beginning of November and I couldn't wish for a better solo break. The owner of the place, Rocchina, is the definition of southern Italian generosity and hospitality. From regular check-ins about my wellbeing and comfort to a plate of homemade cakes, she was as lovely as the place itself. I couldn't have wished for a better welcome. The room was arranged with taste, perfectly clean and comfortable. The antique furniture transports you to a different epoch and grants all the peace and quiet you need. Aside from clean bedsheets and towels, toiletries and extra blankets in the wardrobe, there were books and magazines about the region and a cute letter from the owner. The true treasure of this place is the garden and the terraces. Perfectly located (when the sun is out, the terrace is lit up from morning until sunset) and arranged with multiple armchairs, benches, hammocks and chairs, it's a perfect place to relax, have a coffee and just sunbathe. It also has one of the best views of Brienza. I'm sure in the summer this place is unforgettable. But in autumn, too, it's remarkably beautiful. The hours I spent in the garden, wrapped in a blanket with a book in my hand, will stay in my memory.

Stayed here during a surprise Basilicata snowstorm... they provided all our meals, breakfast lunch and dinner. Ravioli was great as were all the meats. Simple and fresh food. We enjoyed the common room with ping pong and billiards. They gave us wood and matches to start a fire which was the best on this cold night, and the heat in rooms was fantastic. The shepherds let us visit the barn and see the free-range pigs and sheep and goats. They let my kids hold the baby goat kids that had just been born, which they loved. They only spoke Italian but they were very patient with us.
