Easy to get from Piazzale Roma (only 5 minutes), good value (when thinking of Venice) and nice room including local glass chandelier. Breakfast was good and compared to some other places in Venice really versatile. Coffee was excellent. The hotel is very quiet. Air conditioning in the room was really a bliss after hot day in the city. The wifi was working well. The safe in the room was not bolted in the wall, so it would be easy to steel.

We spent two nights at Ca' San Rocco in the blue room. We were very happy with the BB! The bedroom and bathroom were both larger than expected. We loved the natural light from both windows. It was a nice view from the room. The AC worked wonderful and it was a spacious room for two adults. The walk from the train station was only about 10-15 minutes. It was pretty easy to find the location. The BB is on a quiet street nearby several cafes. It is a great location for coffee or a light breakfast or lunch. The BB is close to the train but it is a 45-55 minute walk to Piazza San Marco and Doge Palace. It is a nice walk and you can see a lot of the city. There is a vaparetto stop nearby the BB. Check-in was very smooth and quick. Even before we arrived we received an email with self-check in instructions for the gate and key pick up. We did not need the self-check instructions. The staff was very kind and profession. She was helpful when we had some questions about restaurant suggestions and luggage hold. Our room was on the 3rd floor (US). We were very happy with our room. The bed was comfortable, shower was spacious. The best part of the BB is the beautiful, quaint balcony for the breakfast. One can really imagine living as a Venetian while sipping a cappuccino and petting the resident cat (who is so beautiful and sweet)! Breakfast was a nice variety of meats, cheeses, fruit, croissant and cakes and of course coffee. We had a great stay at Ca' San Rocco. We had no problems or complaints. The BB held our luggage the day of our departure which was nice. For the price and quality, it is hard to beat. The location is nice for wanting to explore the non-touristy areas of Venice and it was nice to escape the crowds of Piazza San Marco! Overall, I would recommend. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. I emailed several questions before our stay and they always answered promptly. They were very kind to work with. It is a short 5 minute walk to the bus station too. We took the bus to the airport so it was very convenient location for arriving and departing in the city.

I loved this little hotel. It was very close (walkable) to both where the bus from the airport drops you off and the main train station. It was easy to get back and forth as the streets were not super-narrow and super-crowded with tourists as in the other parts of town. The room was fairly spacious with a place to put your clothes, a small desk, two chairs, and a night stand. Air conditioning worked well. My husband and i enjoyed a 3 day trip away from the kids. We booked the junior suite as i was tempted by the terrace overlooking the canal. That was lovely but in November not of any real use. I would describe the room as very fawlty towers but in an amusing way. Once you eventually found it, which we couldn't one night and wandered round in circles for about half an hour. The room was very venetian in style. The spa bath would be great if you were 3 foot tall otherwise completely useless. Most of the furniture was broken, the tv was useless and the curtains were all hanging off. However, the good points, it was close to all the places you wanted to be. The shower was good and the cleaner was very very good. Bed made and clean towels as soon as we went out. We had breakfast once at bella venencia and to be honest it was pretty grim so give that a miss ans find one of the many fantastic cafes. The bed was comfy and the safe was free. We paid 255 for 3 nights for a massive room. I spent alot of time looking out of the window watching the gondolas go by. A truly unforgettable experience. Book the junior suite, accept the flaws and have a fantastic time. Another tip is the streets flood every morning so pack your wellies in winter 😀 Feel free to ask me any questions.

I stayed at this hotel for 25 nights during December 2019 and January 2020, in a nice single room with a nice bathroom. The room also had a fridge and water boiler, and tea bags and instant coffee were refilled daily. Too bad it wasn't a longer stay! Breakfast on the ground floor, in the restaurant, with plenty of choices, compared to similar three star hotels elsewhere in Italy. For a couple of days the restaurant was flooded due to high tide ('acqua alta'), but then, breakfast was served in the room. No problem for me, as they brought plenty of everything, even more than I asked for. Lovely personnel, the breakfast ladies/man are also cleaning the rooms, both places they do a very good job. This is not like a modern hotel, where they have only a few minutes to run from room to room, they change bed sheets every other day, I think, and towels are changed every day. The receptionists are always kind, always smiling, always ready to help with anything or just chat a little, but also leave you kindly in peace, not trying to e.g. force you to certain restaurants or visit certain museums. But if you ask, they're more than eager to help. Conveniently placed between the waterbus ('vaporetto') stops Accademia (line 1 and 2) and Zattere (line 5.1). The latter is fastest when you arrive by train or bus, the first two are more tourist-friendly sailing through the marvellous Canal Grande on its way to the hotel. (Note that you buy your ticket on land, before entering the water bus, but at late night, when the ticket kiosks are closed, you can buy tickets on the bus. Only negative, the tickets are very expensive, even compared to Norwegian prices.) I like to take a taxi to/from the airport, but be aware, that is extremely expensive, compared to other cities of Italy. Water buses are available also from/to the airport, although that takes a while. The hotel is not at a canal itself (the street outside the hotel is a former canal), but in a nice, quiet street, despite being so central. Will return some day!

Our stay at Hotel alla Fava was lovely. We received excellent service by Mr. Peppe at the reception. The best part about this place it’s the amazing location right by the Rialto bridge on a very quiet street. It was really easy to get there taking the ferry from the St. Lucia train station to Rialto. The hotel is small, well maintained, clean and very quiet. Our room was in classic Venetian style and had central AC. You can walk anywhere from there. St Marks square is only a 10 min walk in Venice’s characteristic little streets. There’s a nice cafe’ nearby called Farini and many restaurants nearby.

We stayed here for 3nights on the 2nd November. We were greeted by Veronica the owner who met us for early check in, she gave us excellent directions beforehand so we easily found the apartment. She is lovely and was very informative about Venice and what there is to do in the area and showed us around the apartment. She gave me her number and said we could WhatsApp her if we needed to ask anything or for recommendations, we did and she was very helpful! We visited Burano which is a lovely little fisherman’s island with coloured houses it was lovely! The apartment was very clean, spacious and in a good location to access different areas of Venice! We had a great time in Venice and will definately be returning! We definately recommend ca Matilde! X

First time travelers to Italy, so not sure how to compare it, BUT it was an ok value for what we got. Pros: The canal view was a nice surprise. Great view of the grant canal out the window! We saw gondoliers boating by singing. The room was pretty clean. Cons: We didn’t realize the bathroom was shared, which wasn’t a huge problem, but could’ve been. Also they need more hooks and clothes hangers. Hardly anywhere to hang your towels, coats etc. Also MOST annoyingly, upon arrival we found the door associated with the address and it was locked. There was no indication that you had to call to be let in, so we wandered around for 30 mins thinking there was an actual reception desk, as described on their website. The gelato shop next door finally told us we had to call, so we did and then someone showed up and let us in right away. She was friendly, but they need more signage/instructions. Also, we had some bug bites in the morning as other travelers described, but we also slept with the windows cracked. I’d recommend this place to chill budget travelers.

We had an amazing stay at the Santa Croce Bouitique hotel! The hotel is right in the middle of Venice, but slightly off the beaten track, so you are steps away from all the highlights yet not in the middle of the tourist crowds, and also has a wonderful private courtyard where you can relax after a busy day of sightseeing. It is a 6 minute walk from the airport water taxi and only 3 minutes from a vaporetto water bus stop (Canal Grande route). These are, of course, exceptional times, and the staff was excellent in working with us as our travel dates changed due to changing corona rules in Europe (thank you Luca!). The hotel also has taken thorough Covid safety and hygiene measures. throughout the property. The breakfast buffet had been replaced with an a-la-care -service that was at least as plentiful. Guests were asked to indicate their preferred breakfast time the evening before, to ensure that social distancing rules in the restaurant were adhered to. Our room was fantastic (the website pictures are accurate), the bathroom appeared to be brand new and also featured a steam bath. The staff did everything to make our stay perfect, including special sight seeing tips from the Manager Elisabetta. To the whole Santa Croce team, thank you for making this a perfect stay. We look forward to being back!

My work gives me the opportunity to visit hotels all over the world, and I am often staying in 4 or 5 stars business, executive or anyhow luxury hotel. I have seen spots in all Europe that you would not even guess, but this one, this one takes the cake. There is only one word to describe this hotel, and that is: perfect. Location, tranquillity, freedom, cleanness, hospitality, friendliness, relax, good music, top notch breakfast. Name it, they have it. Classy, but not pretentious. Elegant, but not intimidating, close to the station, but not in the middle of the most chaotic street. It’s a pain to leave. Would suggest this hotel a millions of times, and I repeat, I have stayed in the best of London, Cannes, Hamburg... it does not matter. This is where I would stay if I had to go back to Venice. Honestly, this is where I will stay every time I have to go back to Venice, and that’s it. The service is great, the people have an outstanding sense of professionalism and hospitality, the sestiere is beautifully suspended in time. Breakfast is rich and the quality is high. There’s for sure a lot of awesomeness in Venice, and all was worth, but this was like being a guest at a noble house in the Serenissima time. So priceless. 5 stars for everything

We loved the hotel Mezzo Pozzo. Don't be put off by it's 2 stars; we thought it deserved three! The hotel is in an old Venetian Palace so very oldy worldy, but oh so charming. Matteo on the front desk was lovely and gave us all the info we needed during out stay. The triple room we booked was spacious with ensuite bathroom, great A/C and wifi. Old fashioned deco but perfect at the same time. An amazing breakfast was served in our room each morning. Excellent contintental breakfast with tea or coffee or hot chocolate, orange juice, yoghurts, croissants, breads, biscottes, jam and spreads, a really generous selection. The hotel is perfectly located near th Ca d'Oro vaporetto stop, 5 mins on foot to Rialto Bridge and 10/15 mins on foot to St Mark's square. It's in a tiny narrow street so very quiet but just off the bustling Strada Nova. It couldn't have been in a better spot!

Valentina couldn't have been more accommodating when rearranging our trip at short notice. The hotel is in a fantastic location, only 5 mins from Rialto Bridge and St Marks Square! Breakfast was included and was a great way to start to the day. It consisted of fresh croissants, bread and jam for toast, kiwi, eggs, yoghurt, fruit juice, water and a hot drink of your choice. We had a wonderful stay at the family owned and run American Denisen. Alberto and his staff were very attentive and always happy to help with anything we needed. Our room was a 'Deluxe Room' in the next door building called 'the Dependance'. It was a superb lofted room with bedroom upstairs and we stepped straight out onto the beautiful canal outside, immersing ourselves immediately in everything amazing about this incredible city. The hotel location is fabulous, close enough to be a walk from the action but nicely tucked away as well so it was easy to avoid the maddening crowds. Our apartment was very centrally located, although it took us a while to find it because the GPS signal kept dropping out of our phones and trying to get up and down steps with our suitcases wasn't funny. We were dismayed to see that we had to carry them up a steep flight of stairs to the apartment but at least we were on the first floor and not the top one. Although it was a bit dark and gloomy, it was well-appointed and would be ideal for a family as there was a twin room which would have suited 2 children, as well as a cot in the double room. There was also a washing machine which was very useful after being on the road for a bit. However, I was staggered that there was no iron so although we could wash our clothes, we couldn't iron them. They'd provided a little ironing board but presumably that was for use with a travel iron which we didn't have. There were cooking facilities but I can't comment on them as we didn't use them. The toilet cistern leaked a bit which meant there was a constant trickling noise coming from the bathroom but the shower was very good. There was a TV in the double bedroom and the living room. I did feel a little spooked-out though by the absence of any staff. They left information on the table for you which said if you needed anything to ring but when I rang I could hear a phone ringing somewhere in the building but no one answered. We finally saw a woman on the day we left, who had come to service one of the other apartments. She was friendly and spoke good English.

Just back from a 4-night stay at Hotel Kette. The superior room was perfect; a King bed and best of all two beautiful windows looking out onto a canal and the wonderful rooftops of Venice. Lovely bathroom with every facility. Breakfast included and what a breakfast! Muesli, Granola, prepared fresh fruit on your table, yoghurt, croissants and other bread items to choose from plus individual preserves. Cooked breakfast as well - but we had no room left for that. The staff are lovely and always happy to help. Room service every day was excellent. The interior of the hotel is very beautiful with marble floors everywhere in the traditional Venetian style. Apart from the excellent reception area there are well appointed ground floor rooms for meetings including computer facilities, and others for simply resting. The hotel is tucked just off Calle Larga a short walk from St. Mark's Square and with gorgeous shops, at least for looking at!! For our departure to Marco Polo we treated ourselves to a superb Water Taxi which was great. We love Venice and we always choose this hotel - what more can we say! From Mr. & Mrs. J.A. Merrett

We stayed here with a family of five with teenage children. It was beautiful, spacious, warm, well maintained and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything including the essential coffee pot! The apartment was well located for everything, except the train station is a bit of a walk. Took us 30 mins early morning. There is a little shop just behind with the essentials and plenty of other shopping options nearby. St marks square is 6 mins walk. Our hostess was friendly and helpful and we were able to use the washer and dryer downstairs, which was much needed. Would definitely recommend staying here with your family. Tip; if you are coming here , be patient with the floods, find a coffee shop or stay somewhere dry until the water subsides. Thanks for the great stay.

I was a bit skeptical at first while booking the property after reading the previous reviews. But I wanted a budget accommodation so I decided to go with this one only. I was pleasently surprised when I saw the accommodation. Let me clear a few points here. 1. It's quiet easy to find on Google maps plus you can look for it by it's number after reaching the area. The key collection and check in takes place at a separate location which they have mentioned in their policy (again the location is easy to find) around 7 minutes away from the property. 2. There are lot of reviews regarding charge of changing linens and towels. There policy is to change the linen every fourth day. The charge is applicable only if you ask them to do it BEFORE THE 4th day. 3. The rooms are clean and spacious. AC works well(it's central). 4. Had no issue with the wifi. 5. They charge a security deposit of approx 70 euros at the time of check in which they immediately refund.(don't forget to carry your credit card) We had a comfortable stay at the property and had no complaints whatsoever. Problems will arise if you expect hotel like services at a guesthouse.

We fell in love with this charming little place from the moment we walked through the giant doors. We were greeted by a lovely gentleman who thankfully spoke English and seamlessly checked us in, carried my large bag up the three flights of stairs and got us straight into our room. The traditional Venetian decor was very tastefully done and the bathroom fixtures and amenities were of a high quality. The room itself was generous in size and the bed was very comfortable. It was certainly a pleasure to wake up here each morning. To my delight, we were greeted with little cookies and tea and coffee when we arrived back to be rooms following turn down service. (The cookies were divine). The staff were very helpful with recommendations and after just a couple of days, we felt right at home. The location was perfect for us as we were after something that wasn’t right in the heart of the Venice chaos, but a very short and pleasant stroll to the main areas. We couldn’t fault this beautiful guesthouse and would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a more boutique, luxurious yet affordable option in the heart of Venice.

I give this special little hotel full marks as it clearly ticks all the boxes! For starters, the location is unbeatable - oh the joys of getting up at the crack of dawn to step outside to St Marks square not even three minutes away to watch the sunrise....with not another tourist in sight!! The ten days we spent at this well priced hotel were the best - both Alvise and Luca were the nicest hosts possible and we know that we will definitely return because they made our stay so enjoyable. The rooms have incredibly comfortable beds and our spacious bathroom daily cleaned with fresh towels and soaps. The best was waking up to what was quite simply the best cup of coffee as each room is equipped with its own coffee machine with the most excellent italian coffee specially supplied to the hotel. There were cafes very close by but we never felt the need to go out for breakfast as we could keep all the ham and cheese we wanted in the room's fridge. Of course this was such a central location - but even though our big room faced one of the most famous and busy shopping streets in Venice we were never disturbed by the noise - that one was close to just about everything. We were able to get to all the museums early before the crowds and best was when Venice emptied in the evening and we had the place pretty much all to ourselves and its inhabitants which was quite special. Getting from marco polo airport was so smooth as we just hopped into the Alilaguna airport water shuttle taxi and was at St Marks in an hour - perfect! no time wasted at all. These italians think of everything! Dear Alvise and Luca, you looked after us so well, we shall be back very soon indeed!

Overall this place is a really great find in Venice. It’s modern and updated when most places, especially for the price range, are old-looking and outdated. Positives: - Decor in the room and bathroom - Clean - Bed was relatively comfortable - About an 8 min. walk to the bus/train terminal - Water bus station within 2 mins walk. - Toiletries, soft towels and hair dryer provided. Needs Improvement: - Communication and Check-in. This is basically an Airbnb which wasn’t clear in the listing. We thought it would be a hotel. There’s no front desk or reception, only phone numbers to call to arrange entry. Most people don’t have the capability to call Italian numbers while on vacation so some sort of online communication is needed. Thankfully, we were checking out of another hotel before checking into this place so we had the hotel call and arrange our check in. - No blankets for the beds, only thin sheets. - No iron. - It would be helpful if they put a shelf in the shower.

What a quaint little family hotel in such a convenient spot. We took the water bus straight from the airport over to Venice, landing at S. Zaccaria and taking a very short walk thru a lane to the Hotel. The manager/ part owner so helpful and friendly, though only a few days earlier his grandmother/ the founder of the hotel had passed away. We felt much apart of the family when watching soccer with the brothers in the comfy bar area. breakfast was included and quite delicious. The building was once a Nunnery and has a small garden at the back and roof top terrace.Very clean and tidy room though small. Extremely close to everything, restaurants and San Marco Square. Venice is a very easy place to get around as long as you cope with the cobblestone paths. Bathroom clean and sufficient with personal supplies. No tea or coffee facilities but the small bar area is open 24/7. Also has a lift. Would definitely return, and hopefully very soon!

We visited the city of Venice for three nights deciding to stay at this property due to a Hotels.com deal. One day before arrival I was informed that due to a problem with the booked room , we would be upgraded to a corner suite with canal view. Check in was efficient and easy the directions were clear and good and the gentlemen who met me at the agreed meeting point was so polite and helpful. The room was big well presented and very clean. The bed was very big and very comfortable. The heating and hot water efficient and worked well. The rate includes a small breakfast in a lovely lounge area just outside the bedrooms. Also there is a coffee machine and water in the lounge for guests use 24hrs. The location is excellent about a 10/15 walk from the bus and train station that is well signed and very easy . You can use the water bus too if you have more luggage. The Grand Canal and Rialto Bridge are a few minutes walk away too. So the location is excellent with good shops supermarket and restaurants all nearby. My wife and I stayed at the B and B for 2 nights in early June. We arrived by train from Milan and none of the water taxis were operating due to the Vogalonga Venice Regatta. So, we had to wait to travel until the boats were all running again. We eventually made our way to the neighborhood near the B and B, and Marco, the owner, was kind enough to meet us and guide us the final few blocks. As it turns out, once we got a feel for Venice, locating the B and B was easy. It’s actually within an easy walking distance of the train station. The B and B is very nice. We had a very spacious suite on the ground floor. It had a separate bedroom, living room and kitchen area, as well as a good size bathroom. There was an air conditioning unit that came in handy while we were there, as the weather was unseasonably hot. There was also a refrigerator. The location is very quiet and the rooms are well appointed. There are also rooms on an upper floor that are part of the B and B and seemed very nice from what we could tell. Marco was very pleasant, efficient and complete. He provided a very thorough briefing of the house, breakfast times, the local area, restaurants, attractions, maps, etc. Obviously, everything is within walking distance. We met Marco’s wife, Alessandra, at breakfast the next morning, and she couldn’t have been any more accommodating either. Both Marco and Alessandra speak very good English, so communication was not an issue. Breakfast is on the second level and since the weather was nice, we were able to sit out on the terrace of the house. There is a beautiful view of the adjoining gardens, and the terrace itself has plenty of plants and flowers. It was very peaceful and pleasant. The continental style breakfast had a very large selection of items, juices, etc. and was nicely presented. Since we were leaving early on our second day to catch a train to Rome, Marco had breakfast delivered to our room. The selection was similar to the meal on the terrace and got our day started on a full stomach. Although the B and B is in a quiet part of the city, everything in Venice is just a short walk away. It was very easy to get around and we walked to the train station to continue our journey. I would gladly stay again at Casa Baseggio.

AMAZING 5 weeks travelling Europe and this was without doubt our best find! Gorgeous room with 2 rooms so our kids had their own area... Postcard perfect view from the beautiful terrace... literally this is the view you get! Although it looks like a distance to travel it was super easy with the online directions ... took about 40 mins on the water bus from the train station. It worked perfectly to do the distance first then we were so close to everything we could pop back when we needed. The lovely lady (so sorry can’t remember your name) let us in early with our bags before suggesting an itinerary for the day which was PERFECT to see all the sights. Breakfast was beautifully presented with plenty of good coffee. Would pay double to stay here again and without doubt sending everyone we know coming to Venice .... worried we won’t get a room next time we visit as this little gem should be booked out years in advance! Thanks so literally the best stop on our travels thanks to making hospitality .... see you soon!

A very positive experience. I only confirmed the room one day in advance, in the middle of August and I got a single room at a price of a hostel accommodation in a mixed dorm room. A very pleasant surprise. The hotel is, indeed, placed on island however, it is still a perfect choice for travellers with luggage (its much easier to carry the suitcases on board of vaporetto and then to the island than accross tens od bridges in the city). In addition, if you intend to stay in Venice for at least one day, you will buy a daily (or longer) ticket for vaporetto so, going to the hotel on San Servolo will not be an additional cost. The island is amazing, with views of Venice and San giorgio Maggiore on one side, and Lido on the other side. The rooms are comfortable, extremely clean with comfy toilette and all that you might need (even complimentary packages containing nail boards and cotton swabs and a nail file which is lovely gesture which you can usually see only in 4+ hotels). I didn't stay for breakfast so, I don't have and impressions about food and the restaurant but, all and all, the receptionists and bar workers were extremely pleasant and helpful. I would surely recommend it.

Very nice hotel, friendly staff, clean and good location. Vaporetto station Zattere very close by (50 metres), but St. Marcus Square (10-15 minutes), Rialto Bridge (15-20 minutes) and everything else is also in walking distance. We loved Dorsoduro because it is not as touristy and crowded. The view of the Giudecca canal is simply great. Nice bars (Al Squero!!) and restaurants close by. The rooms are small but beautifully designed and totally clean. Beds are super comfortable! Air con works well. Bathroom is equipped with toileteries, slippers and bathrobes. It has a bathtub, not a shower, and a shower curtain which I personally don't like very much. But it was ok. Water pressure was pretty poor, but again, who cares, we're not in Venice for showering ;-). And it was totally ok and worked well. Warm water gets super hot, need to be careful there. We had room no. 4 with a private terrace, overlooking the Guidecca Canal. It's loacated on the first floor, I could imagine that the views from the upper floors are even nicer, but our view already was breathtaking. I really liked having so many windows, 2 out front and one door to the side with access to the terrace. The terrace also overlooks the Guidecca canal (no protection from sun or rain). We didn't use the terrace much (obviously, there is just too much to see in Venice), but it was still great to have it. Whether it's really worth the extra money is a very individual decision. It is possible (extra charge) to get breakfast on that private terrace. Which may make sense, because there are only a few tables in front of the hotel where one can have breakfast. If they are taken, one has to go inside (or wait). The breakfast room inside is also very beautiful, but in Corona times we didn't want to have breakfast inside. Don't quite understand why they don't use the restaurant terrace for breakfast, there would be enough space. Breakfast was good, very nice coffee, nice brioche, eggs (scrambled, fried etc.), yoghurt, water, cheese, ham, nutella, jam, honey. No fruit, unfortunately, but there is a supermarket close by where one can buy fruit. It is also possible to have breakfast on the roof terrace (extra charge). The roof terrace is pretty cool with a nice view - but it's not generally open, one has to book it and get the keys from reception. But it was also possible to go upstairs for a quick look without prior booking. The staff was very friendly with some of them being super-friendly. All speak English very well, some speak even German. It really is a great place for exploring Venice, we very much liked being close to everything but still far enough away from the crowds. Very easy to get there from Tronchetto or Piazzale Roma (by vaporetto). We loved Venice during Corona times. I haven't been to Venice in 20 years and was always a little hesitant to go again due to the tourist crowds. That's why I thought now is the time. And it was. It is already pretty crowded again, especially on the week-ends (S

Wow! What a great experience! This was our first stop on our family vacation (with a large group), and this place AND the people were absolutely amazing. Upon arrival, our rooms were available for us to get checked in (and this was a blessing given the long flight we had just had!). Check in process was effortless, and details on how to navigate the hotel was very clear. When we were shown to our rooms we were blown away with the beautiful layout and decor. Each room had a very clean and luxurious feel to it…and on top of it all super comfortable! The rooms are very spacious, 2 bathrooms, two bedrooms and even a dining area + kitchenette. Also, the views from each room are wonderful...opening the window you are overlooking the canals. It was the perfect home away from home! Every need you had was met perfectly. Each morning we decided to have breakfast in the garden area (or you could choose to have breakfast delivered to your room)…but with the beautiful weather…dining outside was a no brainer! Breakfast was a beautiful experience as well…served in courses, it was an incredible start to the day and presentation was simply impeccable. Oh yea! And there was even a happy hour in the garden in the evenings with snacks/wine! I can’t say enough about how helpful the staff was here at the hotel (anything from arranging transportation, setting up tours, giving us ‘must see’s’ in Venice, etc.). Literally, this was a Home away from Home! I’ve never felt more comfortable in a hotel as I did here at Madama Garden Retreat. Don’t miss out on this experience on your next trip to Venice!!! I know for sure where i’m staying on my return to Venice, Italy!

This is an excellent, quaint hotel located on a quiet campo just a 3 minute walk to Piazza San Marco and right next door to the Murano glass factory showroom. Many wonderful cafes and restaurants nearby. Very close to all the action ( 2 - 3 minute walk to gondola rides) yet very quiet campo. The rooms were lovely, clean, and the staff very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast. A great location and value, I will stay here again when I am in Venice!

We stayed for a long weekend to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday. Venice has many luxury hotels, we picked the Ca Maria Adele based on the reviews we'd read, for a luxury experience and also because we didn't want to be in a huge, sprawling, ostentatious environment. We can honestly say this hotel, and the whole experience, was absolutely incredible. The concept room we booked was beautiful, the only room with a balcony that overlooks the canal, and the service was even better. The staff couldn't be more attentive and helpful. They bent over backwards to give us recommendations on local things to do and places to eat, to keep us safe (in these covid times) and to book venues and water taxis. On my wife's birthday they arranged for complimentary drinks and a cake to be sent to our room and even gave us a small gift as a memento of our stay when we departed. Perfect service, there when you need them and in the background when you just want to go about your business. We're fortunate to have stayed in many beautiful hotels over our years, this is without a shadow of doubt one of the very best. If you're visiting Venice and want a truly outstanding experience then pick the Ca' Maria Adele - you won't be disappointed. We highly doubt there's a better overall experience on offer, also at this price point.

The accommodation is perfectly situated if like us, you want to visit Venice but don’t want to be right in the middle of all the noise etc...An unexpected bonus of staying here was we discovered Mestre which in itself is a very cool place with excellent bars, cafes, and shops. The accommodation itself has everything you need and is comfortable, very very clean, spacious but probably the biggest asset is the people who run it, no request was too much trouble, they helped with all our questions about transport and the local area, info on bars restaurants etc...

It was a friends reunion and have had lots of fun. Hotel is very well located and with a great service. Rooms are very nice and the staff is outstanding. Never much trouble in doing something. We could have asked for everything and it was not a problem. Very clean and I believe it is one of the best boutique hotels I ever visited. Very closed ti the major point of interest and at the same time out of tourists paths Will stay there again on my next trip to Venice
