Such an unfriendly welcome when we arrived. Tried our best Italian, woman barely spoke a word to us in any language, just demanded the tax payment and took us to our room without any word about anything. Had to call her back to ask about the air conditioning (which incidentally is in the main living area, not the bedrooms). Apartments are for those happy to slum-it a bit, which we are prepared to do for a great location - which it was. Kitchen equipment very basic. Bathroom a bit mouldy but otherwise clean enough. Shutters broken, curtains kept falling off the wall. Generally shabby, chipped, rusty etc. Worst things: absolutely banging loud Euro-trash music by the pool. Asked them to turn it down/off but the DJ was enjoying it too much. Even though some of the time we were the only guests there. Also the water in the pool was so over chlorinated that our children got chlorine burns around the edges of their swimsuits and their nipples. They were absolutely raw. Best thing: location good with lovely view and hearing distance of Castelsardo's bells, although a good 20 minutes walk into town. If you stay here, don't make the mistake we did - you need a car to get to the beautiful beaches. Apparently the hotel has a shuttle service to the beach but they were so unhelpful and unwilling to try speaking a mix of Italian and English, we never got to use it. Oh and the WiFi didn't work - we weren't within range of it. Apparently it's only available at the top of the hill in the hotel rooms, not the apartments or by the pool.

Really nice hotel, across the road from the beach. I'd highly recommend asking for a sea view as the sun sets over the sea and it is beautiful. We had a triple room which was very spacious (rare for Italy) and quiet considering it is on a main road. Comfy beds and a nice shower. Breakfast is the only let down really, it is very limited to bread rolls, cheese, ham etc. usual continental breakfast. views of the castle and the sea from the breakfast balcony as lovely. Be warned if you are hiring a car and parking it in the carpark. It is very small with a very tight bend to get in (we hired a Clio so not a big car) obviously with a hire car you are more careful and it took us about 15 minutes each morning to get the car out the carpark it what felt like a 27 point turn! There is on-street parking (white bays are free, blue bays are charged during certain hours) but it's in a busy area so on-street parking is not always possible. Pool and spa are in the sister hotel a few doors down the street. nice pool with massage jets on an in-pool sunbed and a little waterfall. One particular receptionist was amazing and deserves a special mention.. Big Thanks to Natalia for help us so much with calls to book day trips, arranging late check in and outs and calling the tourist doctor when I had a bad reaction to an insect bite. It's people like her that make traveling easier, much appreciated. Hotel is very responsive to emails if you have any requirements or questions before you go.

We stayed in this hotel for a week and was very satisfied with the room, the service, clean facilities and the location. Short way to the local beach and the bus stop. Nice bar and the breakfast was good even if the selection of «not sweet» choices could have been more. Did not use the pool but the area seemed quiet and nice. Excellent service in the reception. Top score due to this and good value.

Recently stayed here for 3 nights whilst in Sardinia for a week and had an excellent stay wishing when we left it could have been for longer. Perfectly located on the sea front with excellent views of the Castle. Although the hotel is right next to the road this didn't bother us at all and having booked a sea view room at the front of the property didn't notice any traffic noise through the night. Large comfortable rooms, excellent WiFi and air conditioning and also quiet. There only thing missing for us was a kettle to have a cup of tea! Within walking distance of the centre of the town or the other way to the small harbour. Very friendly and helpful staff and having travelled quite a bit for the price we paid this is one of the best hotels I've stayed in. My opinion was only enhanced after we moved on to Cagliari and paid twice as much for a hotel that was equivalent so in my view this is outstanding value for money. Must also mention there is a cafe/bar and restaurant attached. The food in the restaurant was so good we ate there each night and tried something different. Top tip in the mornings the coffee is much better in the cafe than what you get out of the machine at breakfast. The only problem you may have is parking at busy times but each time we came back always managed to find a space so its not much of a problem. Overall a very enjoyable stay and this hotel is highly recommended.

We booked this hotel on a special deal for a 1 week break at the beginning of July. Our room was a standard room, it was spacious and clean, although the furnishing is propably a little bit on the basic side for a 4* rating. Although we didn’t have the full sea view, we had use of a large terrace, providing actually welcome shade from the heat in the afternoon / evening. On the downside the terrace was shared with the room next door to ours, so you will have to keep the large french doors either shut or draw the curtains if you don’t want to be seen. We were lucky in that the next door room was only occupied for 3 days during our week, so it didn’t affect us too greatly. The hotel staff are super friendly and helpful. Breakfast on the roof terrace offered a good choice and a great panoramic view. The hotel is conveniently located for all local restaurants, beach and historical sites. It’s well worth exploring some lovely beaches a little further away if you have a car, but be aware that parking close to the hiotel can be a bit of an issue. All In all we enjoyed our stay and would recommend. The friendlyness of the local people we met more than made up for the minor issues mentioned

We enjoyed this hotel because of the friendly and hospitable staff, particularly the reception team, bartender and the restaurant’s serving staff. Sure, the view is beautiful and the setting is stunning but you can only enjoy these if there is a peaceful and restful environment. Do not expect either on the weekends when the hotel favours big weddings and group functions. There’s nothing worse then listening to a wedding party shout and cheer (akin to a soccer match) all afternoon next to the pool - while we’re trying to rest/read/relax - and then into the evening - while we’re trying to have a romantic sunset dinner. Yes, you can hear them even from your room patio. Our friends couldn’t bear the noise which they could hear at their room so they dined out to escape. That was Saturday. Then on Sunday, there was a large family party with screaming kids running amuck in the restaurant/lounge/reception. Unless you plan only to sit in your room or leave the resort all day or have a short stay, choose to overnight during the weekdays in their high season or ask if there are parties before you book. Noise aside, we enjoyed our Superior, corner room for its spaciousness and large patio that featured a panoramic view of Castelsardo and the sea. BUT, the shower was wimpy with fluctuating pressure from drizzle to semi-good and alternating unpredictably between hot/cold. There are no robes. The bed was too hard for our liking. Otherwise, amenities like the mini-bar, coffee machine, safe (laptop size) and satellite TV all worked well. Cocktails and wine selection were excellent at the hotel. Food was good, not great, and overpriced probably because of the view. Breakfast was extensive but hot options were very bland, overcooked, and didn’t look appetizing. Lots of baked goods and cake. The freshly made-to-order eggs were much better. The view makes up for the dull décor of the dining room. On a positive note, one of the nicer aspects of this property is the various areas for outdoor lounging – most by the pool but there are loungers (and even a tiny plunge pool) hidden in various pockets of bushes, many with sweeping views of the hilly countryside behind the hotel. It would be an excellent hotel choice as long as there are no weddings or parties! On a scale of 1 to 5 (highest): Service 5 Location 4 Value 3 View 5 Comfort 3 Quiet 1 Cleanliness 4 Food 4 Wifi 4

We ordered a room which was supposed to be "sea facing", but when we got there we were presented with a room that faced the mountains. Mountains are nice, no question about it, but as we had spent weeks doing research on hotels that offer rooms with a sea view, this was seriously disappointing. We immediately asked to change rooms, but the young man behind the desk insisted that our room had "sea view", and he furthermore claimed that the hotel was fully booked and that there were no other options. Here is the deal: there is a narrow balcony that wraps around the room we stayed in. If you move all the way around the corner, to where the air condition outlet is, you do see the ocean. To call this a "sea facing room" should, however, definitely be considered false advertising. Therefore, if you expect to get a room which looks like the one they advertise on their website (or hotels.com's website), you are likely to be disappointed. I read reviews of guests who have had similar experiences at this hotel, but I chose to disregard them and book it nevertheless. I quite frankly regret that we chose to stay there. Some positives: There are some genuinely sweet people working at this hotel, especially at breakfast. Very good coffee, decent breakfast options. If you do luck out and get a sea facing hotel room, you might be able to watch the sunset. (We did not get to see it from our room.) The bathroom was clean and nice and what one would expect from a hotel of this standard. It takes about 5-6 minutes to drive to Castelsardo, which is a really lovely town. Those in the room next to us had late night parties pretty much every night we stayed there, so we slept with earplugs. The beds are fairly firm. We travel quite a bit and we do our due diligence before booking. What disappointed us here was that the advertising is so far from reality, and we therefore felt a bit tricked. I see that other guests have had good experiences here, but this hotel was unfortunately not what we expected.

Simply perfect. Very nice and friendly hotel. 2 minutes walk to beach. The room is very comfortable. Large bathroom, nice little balcony. Refrigerator, super aircon. I really liked the room with colorful, painted furniture. The staff is extremely friendly. They smile, they are all willing and smiling. The restaurant is in a separate building. Very delicious food, very large portions. Here, too, is nice staff, it was very good to be.There is a grocery store 50 meters away. cheap fruit, mineral water, chocolate, is open until 21.00 o'clock in the evening. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone. Impeccable.

Pros: -Location and view is amazing. -Semi-private beach. Cons: -Room was below average, very hard mattress, low quality sheets, standard bathroom accessories missing (like toilet paper roll holder) -Cleaning ladies didn't speak a word of English and were sloppy. Strong smell of chlorine after every clean. -None of our complaints were solved, they told us they will send someone and in 12 days nothing happened (bathroom leak, ants invasion, etc) All inclusive is just an illusion: WiFi is paid per day Drinks are very limited and they have the worst juices, fake fanta, fake cola, all very sugary (everything is from dispensers) They make you buy bottled water for the room To get drinks after 22:00 you have to buy a special bracelet which can only be bought for your whole stay (5 euros/day x stay length) and it only offers 2 extra hours of the same limited drinks Pool towels are paid per day The sunbeds and bar seats are barely enough for half of their full capacity There's barely any activities to be done there and you're isolated, the only way in and out of the resort being a 5 euros/trip shuttle that needs to be booked in advance because it only has 7 seats. The Restaurant & their Bar feel more like school cafeterias, very loud due to the echo and the terrace only has very limited seats. The staff that's cleaning the dishes is overwhelmed so you often end up cleaning after other guests just to get the table. Half of the food is delicious and fresh and the other half is made with leftovers and canned ingredients. I've witnessed the same leftover dish being served for more than 2 days and I tasted it out of curiosity: it went bad already, of course :)). They don't refill the empty dish bowls in time and some of the food was not even enough for all guests (happened a lot with desserts) The worst one will be the last day of your stay: most of flights are in the evening, but you need to check out from the room at 11:00 in the morning, no changing room & no shower available. The hotel reception was full of luggage and people changing their clothes right there, in full sight. All in all, we loved the location and the view (and the Ukrainian fitness girls) but hated the overall customer experience. Would always go back to Sardinia, but never back to this resort.
