My partner and l stayed at the Miramonte Feb 12 2018. We arrived late at night after a flight delay and checkin had closed. The receptionist had left us our key on the door which was a great huge relief. The room was huge and had everything you could need with a beautifully appointed bathroom and large comfortable bed. The wellness centre a welcome addition after a day skiing. The living room where guests could relax and make meals was a great idea. We also met some of the other guests which was good. The receptionist was extremely helpful and professional. The ski area is massive and had great snow cover. Only small minus for staying in Valtournenche is the very long tow over to Cervinia. It was freezing and tiring. Beginners would struggle with it. Valtournenche has plenty of good skiing . Overall excellent place. We loved it.

After some extensive on-line searching, I selected Hotel Millefiori for a Christmas ski trip for my family of five. It turned out to be a great decision! We arranged for the hotel to take us to and from MXP, as well as to most places we needed to go, as we did not rent a car. The staff is very friendly, speaks several languages, including good English, and works very hard to assure the guests have a great experience. The hotel is very clean, comfortable, and well appointed. There is a large common area with a well stocked honor bar and snacks. The guests all mingle and we met people from many countries here, and at the meals. Their breakfast buffet is extensive and includes several egg preparations, meats, breads, pancakes, bakery items, fresh orange juice and many other items! The hotel provided, free of charge, a guide on three days we skied. First was Jovani (apologies for likely misspelling) who knows the mountain well and was able to get us around efficiently and provided good pointers as well as described the area and pointed out many things we would have missed. My three lids (17, 21 and 24) are good skiers and really enjoyed skiing with him! He is a coach for Swedish youth national team, so obviously highly qualified. We met all the guides at some point and they are a great group of people that have a hearty sense of humor, and know the area well! On the third day, Micke, the owner, provided a guide, Kim, to take my two boys off-piste. They had the time of their lives....deep powder, steep and challenging terrain. They provided all the necessary ABS equipment needed for this. We had our own ski equipment, except for the ABS, but they have a large shop and can accommodate any needs for rentals right on-site and from what I saw their equipment is very nice. We had Christmas dinner here, as well as dinner another night. Both were delicious and everyone in my family enjoyed both. Micke and the staff prepares each meal and everyone eats the same thing, with a seating at 7:30 pm. One night was a huge burger dish, and on Christmas he served a delicious beef schnitzel. I’m sure they would accommodate any dietary concerns if you speak with them in advance. In short, we had a memorable stay and I definitely recommend the hotel! If you are considering a ski holiday, or summer hiking holiday, reach out to Micke.
