Hotels Near Ristorante Tilia In Dobbiaco Review
We stayed here for a few nights. The view from our room was beautiful, as expected. The room itself was nicely decorated, the bathroom was small, robes are not included. The reception staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help. The spa can be accessed after paying a fee, which is a bit odd, based on my experience is similar hotels in the area. The brochures provided in the room do not clearly explain what to expect in the spa (flip flops provide or not, mandatory use of swimming cap, etc.). However, the major disappointment came from the dining experience. The food was average at best, our waiter was nice and wanted to do well, but the atmosphere was chaotic and disorganized. One evening we waited for a very long time for the second course, the second evening the second course was brought to us while we were still eating the appetizers. The Maitre wasn't very attentive and seemed distant and at times oblivious of how the guests were served, waiters were running (literally running!) and frazzled. While I understand that catering is hard work and can be chaotic, it is imperative to deliver to the customers a seamless and smooth experience. If I were to go back, I would not include dinner in the package.
We booked AND PAID weeks before a deluxe room with balcony. Especially balcony 'cause we have small kids and we wanted a place to hang out after they fall asleep. Result: No deluxe room. No balcony. Well to be honest im not sure what room they finally gave us but If that was a deluxe room...they dont really know what they are doing. Result of mentioning about the grievance we got nothing else but eye rolling and a pissing of. "Why dont u tell us before?! NOW i can't do anything". We told them what we wanted before. And we paid for it before. And we get a bored face and turned back with that money. And wrong room. And not the specialty we needed, they agreed to offer, and we paid for. I guess If everything goes as planned and u keep your expectations really really low compared to facts they give about them selves on internet this place is nice but other than that i can't offer any other advice with my present experience than AVOID.
We stayed in Feldmessner fort he first time and received great service from the booking till the leaving! Hotel is located 15 mins walking distance to the ski lifts at Kronpltaz, but you can also take a ski bus running 2-3 times an hour. Both did both and felt its a sensible distance to be happy with. Rooms were super clean and very well made with comfort and great interior design. Lounge and overall hotel look and feel were great too. There is a very nice bar downstairs, but its well isolated from the hotel and did not interrupt our sleep. The ski room was large and well equipped with some tools to do basic snowboard/ski service. The sauna area was quite large with dry and steam saunas (hosting 4-6 people each) and the relaxation room with some beds and sunbeds. All clean and great quality. Breakfasts were extremely tasty with fresh local products, squeezed orange juice and a juice squeezer with a set of raw vegetables and fruits letting you prepare something new yourself every day! This was one of the best breakfast experiences I had so far! There is a great swimming pool Cron4 located like 10-15min walking distance from the hotel, which I can highly recommend. We got a discount and paid only 2.5 EUR/p for the whole evening entrance! I can definitely recommend this place and hope to visit next year!
We've all been to hotels that provide great service but how do you really define a fantastic hotel that just gets it right, easy really, when things go wrong. My partner and I booked a four-day break at Hotel Rudolf and as soon as we arrived and were greeted by the receptionist we knew it was a good hotel. This was further confirmed with the quality of the room, the Spa facilities and the superb quality and selection of food. But as I previously said, we all take this for granted. The first indication that Hotel Rudolf was different was when Frau Rubner greeted every guest at dinner with genuine interest and an amazing command of many languages. The real piece de la resistance was when on my last day skiing I managed to fracture my hip. My partner was understandably a little upset and not completely sure how to deal with all the administration of returning ski equipment, the hire car, getting to the hospital to visit me, to mention just a few. This is where Kurt Gamper the hotel manager and his staff stepped up to the plate. They arranged for our hire car to be returned, chaffured and supported my partner when returning the ski equipment and then visited me in hospital every day bring papers and just making sure I was OK and providing translation services as required. I cannot praise Kurt and his staff enough as it was all done with genuine care and interest about their guests. In my opinion this is very rare and it's not about the easy stuff that we've all experienced and take for granted, it's about what happens if and being treated as if we were family. Amazing and thank you Frau Rubner and all of your truly amazing staff.
Great service from all the staff in this family run hotel. They all have an easy going and obliging manner. Oliver guided us over the Dolomites area for 4 days of riding. All the rides were excellent with regular rest stops at local cafe's and restaurants. Returned to the hotel each evening for a well earned beer served by the friendly and efficient barman, Frederico. Our (substantial) evening meals were varied and catered for all tastes. I particularly liked the buffet first course of salads and vegetables. My room was immaculately clean and comfortable with a balcony view over the valley. The Dolomite area is arguably one of the best for biking and I would be more than happy to return to this hotel again. Difficult to beat this!
I stayed in this 4-storeyed hotel for one night as part of a photography tour group but it was a pity that we checked in at night and out right after breakfast and a quick walk to the street corner's roundabout. The hotel building appears to have quite a history but is well preserved with good internal decor all over. We had a full Italian dinner in the basement which was a well served dinner with authentic salad, starter, main course and delicious dessert. I do not have special liking for Italian pasta but I must admit that the dinner was more than satisfying for most of us and we could feel the local hospitality from the concierge desk lady who walked down to ensure the group was well served and finally thank every of us when the dinner was over. The breakfast of the following morning is the best breakfast I have ever had all over the world in terms of the variety of food from jam, bread, cakes, biscuits, cold cuts, fruits, juices, tea and coffee to cheese. It was served on the ground level in a very cozy eatery with wooden furniture and decor. The lady who served us with fresh boiled eggs was cheerful and reminded some of us the location of certain items lest we would miss out any of the food choices available. This hotel is conveniently located in the local high street with boutiques across the road and shops all over the street. There is a small church located at the far corner of the street where there is a roundabout with a large colourful bird made with plants. The room I had has a double bed, a good-sized desk, 2 chairs and a wooden furniture for easy packaging and unpacking of baggage items. It was very clean, well maintained and not small. The washroom does not contain a bath but it is of the right size with well and safely positioned fixtures for all quests. One minor issue was that the windows were not sound-proofed enough for noises from the street, though overall I am very happy with the one-night experience with this local hotel.
