|0.37km from city centerThe landlord, steven, is so kind and very enthusiastic. He gave us free pick-up and drop-off. He also drove us to the sea mosque for free. He introduced us food check-in points and play guides along the way. The food introduced was really delicious, but it was a pity that we stayed. The time is too short to eat it all. Originally we ordered two superior rooms, but one of the air conditioners broke down. Steven helped us upgrade to a deluxe room for free, which is equivalent to living in the whole house! This is the best landlord we met on this trip. Next time I come, I will choose and introduce friends.

|0.23km from city centerStayed here for two nights. It has a great location close to Jonker Walk, but a little away from it so it's pretty quiet. The room itself is fine, on the functional side and comfortable enough. It was, on reflection, quite pricey for what it was, but did the job. On the plus side was a genuine King Bed, an effective AC unit and a mini fridge (sadly not as common in other Malaysian hotels as I'd hoped). The shower and bathroom were decent. Very steep stairs climbing up to the room, not easy to manhandle a heavy suitcase. Location is a 5 min walk from Casa Del Rio - if you're coming to/from Singapore, many coaches drop/collect from Casa Del Rio negating a need to go to Melaka Sentral. One thing to note about Melaka - finding places open for breakfast is quite difficult. This hotel didn't appear to have a breakfast option, and most cafes don't open till 10am. There are a couple open earlier, but they're not obvious.

Just walk around the road and can reach back to hotel when we tired. The only drawbacks is the parking is a lil bit far around 800m from hotel. The breakfast is basic, but we don't care as there are other food that we can enjoy. Overall experience we would love to visit the place again

|0.67km from city centerWe stayed at the TF Riverside for a night in May. This happened to be during Ramadan. The entrance from the street has steps up to reception (there is a steepish ramp, too steep for a wheelchair unless assisted by a strong person). We were able to check in without any issues. There's a car park under the hotel but there is no direct access from the car park into the hotel. We were allocated rooms on the 3rd floor overlooking the main road rather than the riverside. The lifts were functional but a little bumpy. The hotel was refurbished about a year ago, and whilst what is there is clean and OK, it's more towards a budget set up, and the furniture looked fairly tired. However a really basic annoyance in the room was the lack of and location of power outlets. There was a power outlet just above the floor level behind the fridge, and another about 1m above the floor halfway between the bed and the window in the middle of nowhere. The kettle (provided in the room) couldn't be plugged in unless you held it in mid-air whilst boiling or moved furniture to the outlet between the bed and window, or you moved the fridge. Whilst I can understand that the cost of moving power outlets isn't a minor thing, surely this should have been sorted out when the hotel was refurbed about a year ago? And could easily be mitigated for limited expense by providing a couple of multi-outlet power bars to provide desktop power by the fridge and bedside. The bathroom was again clean but fairly basic. Oh, and the hot water was barely warmer than ambient temperature both evening - which we reported the receptionist - but the issue still persisted the next morning. We had booked two rooms, and the power and hot water issues were the same in both rooms. After checking in we left the hotel for a wander aroound the city - which is gorgeous, and easily walkable from the hotel. As we left the hotel and walked initally along the riverside we could see an Iftar buffet being set up by the hotel on their riverside dining area, and the selection of food looked to be impressive and comprehensive. We got back to the hotel having had dinner elsewhere with friends and saw the tail end of the Iftar buffet, and looked forward to our breakfast the next morning. However, we were to be disappointed. When we got down for breakfast the next monring, we were presented a menu card of five items, of which two - the nasi lemak and rice porridge congee were unavailable. We've been at hotels when low occupancy means it's uneconomic to run a full buffet, and I completely understand this - but usually in these situations you get presented a decent list of whats available and a commitment provided they have the ingredients within reason they will try their best to make something for you. Considering what we had seen the previous evening we knew the hotel could do seriously good food, and the previous reviews of the good food back this up. There an offlice a starbuck and a panjabi resturant 1 min away, and a shopping centre and mc donalds about 5 minutes away and rickshaws to the centre are everywhere. The property is clean and offer a magnificent view to the Melacca Palace Museum. Staffs are friendly and accommodating with some reasonable favor requested. However, the downside to this property is the limited parking bays available and poor water pressure at the top floor's room. Privacy may be a concern to certain travelers as it is right next to a public park.

Very good location only 500m walking to Jonker street Saturday night market. Room is new decoration. There are water dispenser, coffee and tea are foc.Towel and bedsheet seem dull but still acceptable. TV not working, no hair dryer is not a big problem to me since the price is worth everything. Next time sure I will stay again if I am able to book the room with this kind of price. Thank you so much.

|0.87km from city centerI booked a 3 bedroom apartment on 21/June/2019 for 2 nights. I'm quite disappointed with the unit (1052) that had assigned to me. This unit was so much rundown compared to my last visit (Dec 2017). Management should look into the maintenance issue, the wall paper was tear off at the living hall and some of the bedroom, window in the toilet also damage. Wifi will disconnect most of the time. Cleanliness not so good too. Beside the apartment, the most disappointed me was the payment mode. Before my trip, i wrote an email to Jetty suite to confirm my payment, their staff replied me saying that they had received my payment and payment confirm completed (reason for me to double check with them is because I had experience with Jetty suite that system sent notice saying payment done but their staff still collect money from me during my check-in), so base on their email that my payment had done i did not prepare any extra cash but sad to say that things happened again this time.. the worst thing was upon check-in the staff informed me saying payment done so i no need to do any payment, but during my last day of stay early morning 9am i received a call from their office saying they check through their system and found out that they have not received my payment and request me to make payment upon my check-out. How can such thing happen??? And now i have to check with my bank to make sure there won't be any double charge for my booking. Will give a double thoughts in future for my booking on this apartments.

|0.98km from city centerWe arrived at this hotel at about 2.30p.m. and we tried our luck to check in earlier than 3p.m.. Guess what~ we were allowed to check in at 2.35p.m. since the room was ready! This hotel is just about 15 minute walk from the jonker street, which means it is neither secluded nor crowded. Some famous restaurants and attractions are just within walking distance e.g. the Ban Lee Siang restauran (satay celup) is just 3 min walking distance from the hotel itself. If you dislike walking or you are travelling with family members, then maybe this hotel isn't good enough for you, otherwise it is just great for you to exercise a bit. And we were enjoying the street view and the building while walking from one destination to the next. The hotel environment was clean and it always smell good. The lighting was great and basic amenities were in good condition. Room was clean and in good condition (just the bathroom door lock was a bit loosen). Overall, it is good.

As for amenities, its average, could use a better quality of disposable toothbrush & provide slippers for going to the pool. Dining hall has good ambience, breakfast was good & service was personal. Dinner was above average. The pool was clean and dont feel too much clorine. The gym was a bit packed but ok to use when not many guests. There was an unpleasant smell at the dumb bells section, think its from the floor mat at that section. The little local biscuits & sweets at the lobby was a nice touch to let guest try the olden days snacks. The couple spa was fantastic👍🏻. The masseurs were pro.

|2.19km from city centerI’ve booked 3 rooms. When i arrived i had to contact the host myself. Normally the host will contact us before checking in to ensure we could check into our rooms smoothly. The hotel should remark that we have to contact the host before checking in if they wont contact us first. Because we have to fill a form for each room so it takes so much time. I even have to wait for the host to set our room. We were supposed to check in by 3pm but there’s 1 room that we had to check in at 6pm. The host asked us to park at the mall’s parking which we have to pay ourselves if we did. After negotiating the host agreed to give us the parking card first but we had to wait in my sister’s room first. It has 5 lifts for both blocks but only 2 lifts can be used. Had to wait almost an hour to get ourselves inside the lift. Other than that, the water supply in block b was yellow. Would definitely not repeat to stay here again. But on the bright side, the rooms are spacious and clean. Suitable for families

|0.39km from city centerThis hotel was in a fantastic location in the heart of Melaka - so it was very convenient to come in and out of the hotel constantly in between shops and restaurants. The decor in the hotel is very nice and has lots of character with nice paintings etc. We stayed in the Kapital room on ground floor which was very large and bathroom was also large and bed was very comfortable. The free snacks and drinks was also a nice touch. Wifi worked well. Breakfast was OK, just need to get there earlier so that when they make the food it is warm. The staff were super friendly and helpful - and also organised transport to next destination at a very reasonable price - the staff were perfect. The cleanliness was excellent. The hotel rooms itself were very quiet - the only annoyance was people in the carpark at the back which was just outside our room late at night constantly letting off fireworks - ideally security should be able to get them to go away considering it is illegal to let off fireworks. The other issue in the room was the power kept disconnecting and connecting making a loud noise each time and meaning one needed to manually put the air conditioning back on each time which is OK during the day but not at night - this may have been a one off issue. We would definitely stay at this hotel again when in Melaka - we would probably stay in a different room though as there are many other options available. It is good value for money, fantastic location, fantastic staff, very comfortable and convenient.

However, the first thing we feel upon arriving at 3pm is that the lobby is very warm, there is not even a think cold air blowing from the ceiling air-con. Anyway, we booked 2 rooms a week ago and we were told that the rooms are not ready, yet. The check-in time for this hotel is 3pm, but we have waited 30 minutes only to get our first room and another 30 minutes to get second room. The first room was super dark as there were only 1 light working, so we ended up calling the maintenance to fix all other lights in the room. The second room was not clean, hair were everywhere and there's even a pair of leggings hanging in the wardrobe. Both rooms showers were not properly clean, hence the water is not able to run, as it's clogged due to massive hair balls stucked in the hole. That's not all. As our rooms doesn't comes with breakfast, we bought 2 breakfast for the first room for next day. There was no meal vouchers given to us except the receipt as the receptionist told us to show just the room key to the cafe staff. But, the cafe staff refused to let us in even after we showed the room key to him. He told us that we need to present meal voucher to him, which was not told to us by the receptionist. We told him to checked in the system as we have paid for it and he refused to do so. He shoved us away immediately without checking further. After all the hassle, we went to the receptionist at lobby and seek for refund. And we were told that it takes 15 working days for the refund (which is MYR30 only). We paid by cash for the breakfast when we check in, but we cannot get our cash back instantly for refusing us go enter the cafe. We don't think that we deserved such treatment by the hotel staff, just because the room rate are affordable, doesn't means the hospitality standards can be regards as third world class. What else can we ask for? If it's not due to TripAdvisor system, I don't even want to give even 1 rating.

|0.81km from city centerThis was our second stay at Treasures and it did not disappoint! The hotel is gorgeous with Balinese style fittings and decor. The infinity style pool on the roof top is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Rooms are clean, well appointed and very comfortable. Beds, pillows and sheets are so soft and comfortable and feels like it is high-end. Breakfast is fantastic, we experienced both buffet and al a carte and both had a great variety of tasty, fresh foods. The service is what makes this hotel stand out from the rest. Every single staff member was lovely and approachable, nothing was ever too much trouble. We could not find any faults in our stay at Treasures and will definitely return when in Melaka.

|1.26km from city centerStayed at this hotel for two nights. The hotel has only been repaired for about2-3 months but some cracks have appeared in the room here. The bedroom is a lot of dust and the bed is uncomfortable. The TV has only 6 channels. You have to spend about 15-20 minutes to go to the shopping area of Haqi and Makhota. The parking lot is opposite the hotel and is open-air. Breakfast type is preferred, if this is not included in your room rate, I think you can not go. It takes about half an hour to walk to Jonker Street. The only comfort is that there are many restaurants nearby. Nearby casserole is open at night, offering delicious food and at a reasonable price.

Booked twin room without window, stay last floor with staircase, but blessing no dampness smell, room well cleaned (is very clean!) and sanitised by housekeeping. Toilet very clean, bed also comfy and clean, TV aircon and free WiFi all work well, also provided 2 bottle drinking water in room with kettle and mug/cup. Hotel no provide breakfast but bring along hotel room key to breakfast bar (Eggxtra) next door entitle 10% discount, with reasonable price. Along Hotel have some local eatery so no worry to fill tummy during night time. Take note all traveller, hotel reception is collect (accept cash only) MYR100 refundable deposit. |0.36km from city centerI am staying in Johor Bahru and my dad's home town is in Malacca.I stayed at Wayfarer with my parents for 2 days 1 night in conjunction with All Souls Day.I really loved the room very much!It is so oriental,clean,cosy,nice&with a beautiful balcony room.Free wifi is provided as well.Most importanty,the location of the guest house is in the heart of town.What a great location!We could walk around so easily without having to drive our car around the town area.What I like most about Wayfarer is that,it is so close to Jonker Walk,Jonker Street and the Christ church area.Opposite of my balcony room,I can see the St.Xavier's church and the Malacca river with the river cruise boats passing by all the time.I really can't forget my stay at Wayfarer.I truly recommend people to come and stay at Wayfarer!They won't regret it and the price of the rooms are so cheap and reasonable.The toilets are absolutely clean and the management provides hand wash and shower foams for the guests to use.The room that I stayed in also has a bath tub.Last but not least,Wayfarer has given me and my family a very good and friendly service.I will never ever forget my stay at Wayfarer.I will definately come back to Wayfarer to stay again when there is another chance and another good opportunity.So,I would like to wish the management of Wayfarer and their immediate families all the best and good luck in their tourism business and also all the best in their future undertakings!Thank you very much Wayfarer for letting me and my family have a really sweet,fun and lovely stay.We managed to make good memories at Wayfarer and in Malacca.I LOVE WAYFARER SO SO MUCH!
