I stayed here 3 nights in January 2020 for work. I was working for a company which possesses a large office about 10 minutes drive away. As such, it suited me down to the ground. But I spoke to some of the tourists there, and it is certainly a long way from the Rome you would see on a postcard. There is nothing wrong with that, but the transport options are limited if you are not on a coach or in a taxi. The roads in the area are absolutely terrible, so even if you are in a taxi or coach you will notice that the roads mean you drive very very slowly and bounce up and down a lot. But you are not here to read a review of the roads. The hotel is a standard Novotel probably decorated for the last time in the late 90s - so you know what to expect - one piece bathroom unit with round shower curtain, wooden veneer seats and furniture, and those funny light switches by the bed. I slept well. As you can see from the photos, it is pretty spartan outside - but don't be surprised if you wake up with the window open - the highway is just about a kilometre away and that will start making noise about 05:00. The bed was comfortable and the bedding clean and in good condition. The carpet was quite well looked after. The desk was the usual slide out wooden veneer - more than big enough for dinner or working. Plenty of power sockets by the desk but not so many near the bed. The hotel bar was pleasant and the staff friendly. I had room service several times and the food was fine. The breakfast was also a nice surprise, with a friendly team and excellent scrambled eggs. They could cook the bacon a bit more though! Reception was friendly and efficient and found me taxis and gave me information whenever needed. If you need to be in the neighborhood, a good choice.

The hotel looked ok at first glance and our first night there was great. But after that first night the problems began shortly after. First of all the breakfast was the same for the 5 days we stayed there and let’s not mention that most of it was packaged. The only fresh thing was the eggs and bacon which were freshly made everyday. Second of all although the cleaners came everyday, they only cleaned the bathroom and made the beds. The floor was left dirty for 5 days and during our stay they didn’t change our sheets even ONCE. The carpets on the halls had stains and were dirty. Third of all, I was locked out of my room one night because my roommate fell asleep and I didn’t want to wake her up so I went to the receptionist and asked for a second keycard. They refused to give me one because apparently “they had already given a lot of extra keycards”. They only gave ONE keycard for each room even if the room had 4 guests. Fourth of all the walls were paper thin and we could hear EVERYTHING that went down in the rooms next to us and in the room above us. And last of all, the day we left they tried to charge us 100€! because some coke had spilled to the floor and it was sticky. And it would be a crime if I didn’t mention that the staff didn’t speak English at all which made our stay very difficult especially because we had a vegan friend and the staff didn’t even know what that was. Only the receptionists knew English. The hotel doesn’t deserve its 4 star rating. It’s terrible and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Stay away

Celeste and her family were warm and welcoming. The rooms were big and clean. When we arrived we were told one of the showers was broken and was being worked on and that it would be fixed in the next 20 mins. In the meantime Celeste's dad offered us an amazing Italian coffee with cake slices. Very easy to check in. The hotel has some parking spaces available. Casa Celeste is located conveniently close to a metro station (rebibbia) which was 20 mins away from Colosseum and about 45 mins to Vatican city. If you are driving to Rome then it's easy to travel from Casa Celeste, where you can leave your vehicle and avoid entering any ZTL zones in Rome City. The metro station is a short walk from the hotel. Breakfast was cheap (3 euros) and Celeste was willing to accommodate for vegetarians and any other requests. She also provided us with information about what to see in the short time we were there. Hopefully we'll get to go again for a few more days to explore Rome.

This hotel is above average although it has it's problems. For starters, it's location is convenient (its 5 min from a metro station) but quiet, as it is located near a small river and away from the road. However, it certainly is a run-down neighborhood - you don't feel entirely safe at night. It's staff, while generally professional and friendly, had outbursts of anger (a particular lady serving breakfast had serious anger management issues). Additionally, they helped us with our transportation to the airport by booking a cab for us. One also really important thing to notice about the hotel is that it is really clean. The working ladies do a very good job every day. The rooms are new and beautiful although they are a bit small. As for breakfast it was a bit lacking. Everything necessary was there, but there was an emphasis on sweets and very few options for something else. The food wasn't replaced fast but the beverage machine was really special. Overall, I can say that our experience was good and certainly "value for money" but don't expect something perfect.

I had booked an economy single room for 3 nights as I just needed a place to sleep and a bath. My room was very small and basic but still cosy with little but modern furniture. The bed was good, windows opened for fresh air. It was quiet at night. Breakfast was typical Italian with mostly sweet cakes and biscuits- very fresh & tasty, also fruit, joghurt, toast, eggs, salami. Coffee was good. I greatly enjoyed everything, especially the tasteful decorations and atmosphere, most of all however the extremely friendly and helpful personnel/family owner. Busses stop nearby, approx 50-60 minutes to Piazza Venezia. Will definitely stay again if in that area of Rome.

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights in September. It’s basically an apartment with four rooms for guests and the owner lives in the 5-th room. Pros: + the owner is nice + facility is close to metro station + 20 mins to Termini station by metro + for those who like hiking it’s a 30 mins walk to Vatican + situated in the residential area with a lot of supermarkets, pharmacies, local cafes (cheap and tasty) and so on + the room (with green smily face on the door) is comfortable and the bed is ok + AC is there and works normally (although it’s written in the rules, that using AC costs additional 3€ for the night, the owner never told us that we have to pay for that) Cons: - all the doors are very squeaky, overall sound insulation is very poor, so every time you open a door at night you risk waking up everybody in the building - breakfast is really poor: packed supermarket plain croissant, some jam and cookies, cereals, juice, tea/coffee and that’s all. Access to tea and coffee is limited by the hours of breakfast 7:30am - 10:30am - no kitchen, you can’t cook your own food - access to the dining area is also limited by the hours of breakfast, so you can’t even bring your food and eat it there (eating in the room is prohibited) - the fridge is very small, you can’t put anything there - it’s not permitted to drink alcohol in the facility (it’s not that I’m a drinker, but in Italy pizza and wine is a must) - although it’s prohibited to smoke in the facility, we could smell cigarette smoke in the corridor and our room several times - there are very few sockets in the room and modern European plugs (for example for laptop chargers) don’t fit in them. - during our entire stay the internet was down, so we had to pay 45,50€/night incl taxes in cash (no internet - no pos terminal - no credit cards accepted), we had to look for WiFi in cafes and public areas, which was extremely inconvenient. The owner said it was the internet provider’s fault, that the line was interrupted during a storm, and that the internet would be fixed only in a week, but to me it seems bizarre that a provider can’t fix a line interruption sooner then in a week. - our room and bathroom was never cleaned during our stay, the room cleaning is on request for additional 5€ If you are ready to face those inconveniences, the place is fine, but overpriced. There are better options with similar commodities in Rome for less money or with better conditions for the same money.

We stayed at the Hotel Oxford for 4 nights in February 2020. We found the hotel to be very clean, staff polite and a wonderful base for all of our travels in Rome. Very budget friendly too and we felt safe at the hotel. The location of the hotel was what made the holiday for us, a short walk into the main tourist streets of Rome, and we often used the Uber bikes to get from the hotel to the main tourist area and this only took a few minutes, but only around a 10 minute walk anyways. The shop next door was brilliant also. We only found two issues with this hotel - breakfast and the stairwells. We stayed for breakfast one morning, and never again. The food was bland and not much choice at all, especially for the price, i would recommend skipping this and purchasing food from the supermarket next door or a bakery or somewhere if you don't want to pay restaurant prices. The stairwells were fine for us as a young relatively fit and healthy couple, and there was also a lift too, but both the lift and stairwells were extremely narrow, which may be as to be expected in a small hotel in Rome, however if you had a large suitcase, low mobility or a slightly larger size, this may be a problem for you and we didn't find the hotel to be very disabled friendly AT ALL, as the lifts very narrow, and in the corner of very narrow corridors.

Trastevere
We stayed at the In Trastevere House for 4 nights from 19th January and were not disappointed with our choice. The staff were friendly, offering useful advice for the neighbourhood and key places to visit. Our room was spacious and had a large balcony from the bedroom to the bathroom. The beds were made and room cleared on a daily basis. Breakfast is provided at the cafe on the main road where you can exchange your tokens for a coffee and a choice of pastries. They also provide snacks and coffee making facilities in the room. It’s about a 10 minute walk to the city centre, there are plenty of buses and trams but we found ourselves mainly walking as the weather was pleasant. My only one complaint is that it can be difficult to find. There is no sign and the B&B is located within a complex where you need staff to come and allow you entry to get your keys.

This is the worst experience I've ever had traveling over 30+ years. This is NOT a hotel or "guest house". This is a low rent apartment converted to rooms. Dark and dingy. There's no sound proofing between walls, so any little noise is amplified. Was yelled at and mistreated at check in for questioning additional city tax and asking for further information which was NOT stated in my confirmation emails. I even pulled up all my emails to show the receptionist that it stated paid in full. He wasn't able to explain anything, so he put Anna on the phone, who started to aggressively yell at me. It wasn't until nearly 20 minutes later that I finally found general information online about the additional city tax. On the booking site, and in their own notes, it states information on additional charges such as late check-in fees, etc, but NO INFO on the (hidden) city tax per person, per night fee. Also would like to clarify that a "guest house" connotes a warm, family-like atmosphere. Being yelled at on the phone is not welcoming. The white leather couch at the entrance was disgustingly dirty. Once we were "checked in" there was no one there providing any service or oversight. Oh wait, there's cameras, so it's a "guest house". Let's be clear too, this is an OLD APARTMENT (not in the charming sense) in the center of Rome, chopped up into 4 rooms. They are renovated but have very poor ventilation, and as a consequence our bathroom floor and shower was MOLDY. What concerned me the most, however, was that the young man at makeshift "front desk" entered our room and I had to ask him to leave immediately. Very uncomfortable and unprofessional. When I told him his behavior was unacceptable, at first he arrogantly blowed it off, until I threatened to call the police. Suddenly he quieted down. It was like talking to a misbehaved child. Something felt very weird about the whole exchange, and when I went back to the room immediately called my husband to find us a new hotel. I checked the reviews, which we should have looked at initially, and noticed a similar pattern. At first the apartment owner (father of the 30 year old young man who checked us in) refused to cancel our booking, and said his son was "only trying to show us how to use the coffee maker". Total lie, since he never mentioned it at all and my daughter is witness to his entering our room. Creepy experience. Thank God we were only there one night, and were able to move to a new hotel around the corner. I left a review at hotels.com, and you can read Anna's response. It's telling how she bulletpoints each concern with a rebuttal, like it's my fault for not knowing about the city tax, when it's NOT in the confirmation email, and somehow the guy entering our room turns into "showing us how to use the air conditioning". No, that's not what happened at all. I told the receptionist I was going to leave a negative review AFTER he entered our room. I would never advise two women to stay at this hotel

On our second visit to Rome, my wife and I decided to stay in a b&b rather than a hotel. Turned out that our decision to do so was the right thing to do. What can I say…we loved it! Barberini Suites is a lovely place to stay. It is located in an older building and from the street you need to enter through a portico and then enter the building proper. Barberini Suites location is great. Literally a 5 minute walk to the Spanish Steps, 10 minutes to the Trevi Fountain and another 10 minutes from Trevi to the Pantheon. It’s called location, location, location. Also there are many, many restaurants close by. You won’t go hungry. After you go through the portico, the entrance and rooms to Barberini Suites is actually one floor up from ground level. There is a small elevator to use in order to get your luggage up. Once you enter you will, more than likely, meet Allessandro, who will make you feel welcome immediately. Rather than numbers, the rooms have names, and our room was named Giotto. The room, while not huge, was clean, the bed comfortable and the bathroom very modern and up-to-date. Breakfast was good. For breakfast, you fill out a form the day before and your choices are delivered to the room at a time of your choosing. Definitely order the croissants. They are delicious! Juice, yogurt, coffee and sweets are offered. Enough to get you on your way in the morning. Our first experience in a b&b was wonderful, and we will definitely stay at Barberini Suites if we return to Rome.

If you want the real Wow factor, this has got it all. Starting with a tour through the museum of art and sculpture, the amazing frescos, wall hangings and mosaics are just the preparation for the Sistine Chapel. The completion of your visit will be the breathtaking inside of St Peters Basilica. If you like St Paul’s Cathedral in London, this is bigger, better and full of light. You will need a minimum of 3 hours to do it justice and if you do not want to wait in massive queues then get an advance ticket. Be prepared for airport style security on entrance and you may use camera and video without flash except for in the Sistine Chapel where this is not permitted. Clothing must be respectful, shoulders and knees covered.

Location is good, the hotel is near the termini station, about 5 minutes from termini. But it is a little bit difficult to find it, because that building has other hotels, each floor has each hotel. In front of the hotel there are many board which displaying hotel name. So you should be careful to see that. Marcantonio’s reception is at fifth floor. The staff is very nice and friendly. I enjoyed talking with the staffs! But cleaning staff sometimes smoke tabacco at the stars and l don’t like that. Room is small but I feel comfortable. Breakfast served at room and it’s enough for me. Overall, low price and nice location and nice staff, I like this hotel! My family and I recently stayed here for 1 night in preparation for our flight back home the next morning. The gentleman who checked us in, Michael, may have been the most friendliest person we met in our entire time in Rome. He was extremely accommodating as we needed to check in after the office had closed. He helped us with our late check-in, helped bring our bags to our room, explained everything thoroughly, and even gave us breakfast vouchers for the next morning as our early flight preceded the breakfast offered onsite. We had a great nights rest and our stay couldn't have gone more smoothly. I highly recommend Heart of Rome to anyone who is considering.

My husband and I stayed 3 times at this lovely boutique hotel (Oct. & Nov.2018). We keep coming back, because we love the strategic location. In the heart of the city yet away from the crowds & noise, many attractions within walking distance.Spacious rooms, clean modern bathroom with bidet, towel warmer & invigorating shower. Beds very comfortable and clean (I could smell the fresh soap), sheets are soft, crisp and fresh clean with a soft duvet in between rather than the itchy not so clean beige blanket many hotels sadly use. large LCD tv. You get a lovely picnic basket full of breakfast goodies to enjoy at your own comfort in your room on a bed table. Fresh pastries, honey, jam, Nutella, cereals, milk, fresh fruit, yogurt, cream cheese. They gave me gluten free bread, crackers, cake, and biscuits that were delicious (generous quantity). The staff is very friendly, attentive and helpful. Housekeeping staff do a great job everyday cleaning and tidying the room & bath, changing bedsheets. I never found a missed spot, or a rushed cleaning. My hair falls all over the place and I never found a single hair in bed or bathroom unlike other hotels. I’m definitely going to stay again and highly recommend it. As for some reviews complaining about the noise, closing the window will minimize or even eliminate the noise and you can close the automatic shutter for more quietness or choose an inside room rather than one overlooking the street but then you’ll miss the beautiful scene and bustling life. It’s a matter of preference and comfort level. Others complaining about the reception being on a different level, I found that as giving us privacy and more intimacy as if you’re entering your own room or living space in the lovely historic building. Also you’re away from constant travelers checking in and out with luggage dragging. My only suggestion would be having a separate kettle in each room or keeping the shared one on the table by the vending machine ( not to be taken into the room) as we had a trouble several times waiting for other guests to return it, in our last stay we had to go to a nearby cafe for our daily caffeine fix. The room does have a great espresso machine though but my husband and I are addicted tea drinkers and cappuccino lovers. That was my only suggestion, other than that everything is great about this place. I’d like to thank Patrizia, Daniela,Silvia,Francesca, Gigi, and all the others whom I’m sorry didn’t get their names, special thanks to the lovely and kind lady who fed me the gluten- free goodies and kept asking if I had enough or needed more, I’m so grateful to her she saved me from pain and daily sufferings.

Perfect accommodations in every way. The location is right in the heart of Rome within walking distance of the Vatican and other sights of interest, yet it is on a quiet, shady side street that doesn’t “feel” like it is in a big city. The hospitality started with a welcome email from the manager upon booking, with an offer to send a car to the airport (at an extra charge.). The carfare was about the same as a taxi, but we were personally greeted at the airport by the driver which was quite welcome after a long flight. The manager is warm, friendly, and helpful and very accommodating to American guests (he and the other staff speak English.). The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, far exceeding our expectations, with a sparkling clean, luxurious bathroom and all the amenities. A simple breakfast, including cappuccino, was brought to our room each morning and we enjoyed it on our private balcony overlooking a secluded, shady courtyard (no street noises.). The location was charming and relaxing which made our visit to Rome even better than we expected.

I think this hotel is fairly solid considering it is new. There are some things that could be worked out and I'll detail some in a moment but I want to state that I am not negative toward Glance in Rome. First, please improve your entrance signs so that guests aren't wondering where to go when arriving; I found that Google maps was accurate and we were in the right location, but we couldn't find a sign and we eventually buzzed in and figured out where to go. Second, if a guest is going to be charged a city tax for their stay and it has to be paid in cash, please notify the guest and collect this at check-in, rather than waiting until check-out. Third, please improve your WiFi signal for the guest rooms. We stayed in 206A and the WiFi signal was quite poor and the Internet was spotty. In today's age, having a good WiFi connection should be standard among hotels. We enjoyed the location as it is fairly central to most major attractions and it was ideal for us as we were leaving from Termini Station early in the morning. The breakfast was really good and it was great to have a hot and cold option along with having a cappuccino at breakfast! I might try another hotel option on a future visit but Glance in Rome was perfect for our last night in Europe! Thanks!

Pantheon
Great location right in middle of city, within walking distance of all the attractions. Very close to Pantheon, about 15 minutes to Colosseum, and about 25 minutes walk to Vatican City! If you are walking to Vatican City, go down to Piazza Navona, and across the square is a side street , well 2 parallel, beautiful cobbled streets full of cafes and shops that lead right to Vatican City? Saves walking along the thunderous dual carriageway that also leads there!! Rooms are faultless, stunning décor, stunning state of the art bathroom? We was in the Jade room, which overlooked the ruins where Julius Caesar was murdered?! And also the temple opposite,. There is a table and chairs in front of the window, which looks out on these. 3 large shuttered windows, so the room was so light. Wardrobes , bedside tables, beautiful state of art lighting with dimmers!! Full length mirror, everything you need in bathroom! Everything looked brand new. Brilliant shower that has 3 different water outlets, one that does your bottom half, one for middle and one for top!! Never seen this before but in genius , saves us ladies getting our hair wet!! Rooms perfectly cleaned daily, and linen changed. Plenty of tea, coffee, bread, fruits, yogurts, ham, cheese, water available all day. And a toaster coffee maker, kettle, fridge/freezer all in Kitchen. Jitu the receptionist is always on hand to help between 8 and 4. The only negative to this place are the hallways . As the hotel is actual on the 4th floor of a partly residential building? The hallways are dark and dingy and in real need of a coat of paint? There is a lift , but is very antiquated, so most times used the stairs!! But did actually use a couple of times and it did work fine, just a bit freaky !! All in all, would highly recommend!!

I am almost hesitant to write this review because I want to keep Hotel De Ricci as my little secret and not have too many people come and ruin this gem, but I MUST give this hotel the credit it's due. Hotel De Ricci was a great find! My husband and I were actually booked someplace else and in my search for a cigar lounge, I was directed to this hotels lounge. But when I started looking through their website I was like, this place looks better, and ended up cancelling my existing reservation and booking a suite here. Best decision!! The unique style of the rooms was a great touch, the size was perfect for me and my husband. The service was top notch. The cleanliness of the hotel was on par. It's nice that they only have 8 suites that make up this hotel and it's modern style makes you feel comfortable immediately. The location is perfect for people that like to get to the action but don't want to stay in the midst of it. There are plenty of local restaurants and cafes in walking distance so I don't see the need to get the breakfast package due to the high price the hotel charges (i.e. one tea bag was 10 euros) which is like most hotels. And if you are accustome to exchanging US dollars for euros at your hotel, you will not get that service here so plan to do your exchange elsewhere. I'll admit, when we researched this hotel, I was concerned that we couldn't find one bad review on all the different review platforms. I thought, are these reviews real. But now I can attest that they ARE real and I can add to their high review score. Keep up the great work guys and stick to your model...it works!! And to Tony, we weren't able to do our fruity cocktail challenge but we appreciate your conversation and engaging personality. Blessing to you and your family.

Termini Central Station
My girlfriend and I arrived here late after a long drive down from the Amalfi coast. On arrival, Giorgio made us feel welcomed and relaxed. He was excellent and advising how best to spend our two days in Rome and also gave us great advice on public transport as well as great inexpensive restaurants to try that wouldn't just be tourist traps or needlessly expensive (especially as we are two travellers on a strict budget). He also tried to fix our AC as it wasn't working properly meaning our room was more akin to a sauna - not ideal when it is still nearly 25 degrees at 10pm. He offered to move us and dragged our heavy cases up and down flights of stairs and through narrow doorways to make sure we were comfortable here. Genuinely a lovely guy and I would certainly stay here again when we return to Rome in future. The rooms are basic but ideal for a cheaper alternative and those who want to make their money go a little further. The restaurant he recommended was delicious and only set us back €35 for two arge pasta dishes, a side of bruschetta, two large beers and a table water. Pretty good for a European capital in the height of August. Thank you for your outstanding service, Giorgio - from two very satisfied customers!

Our first time in Italy, rome was excellent and wonderful thanks to the staff members of the hotel. They made us feel like at our home, they were really helpful and the hotel and the rooms were very clean and neath. Breakfast was very tasty and lots of varieties of foods, whenever you need a help the staffs members will always be happy to help you. the place of the hotel is in a quite street and a few minutes away from the metro station and from Piazza Del Popolo. It was our first but not the last time in there, we will come back in the near future! Thanks a lot for making our vacation comfortable and memorable! Thanks from alina and jake.

Termini Central Station
Stayed here for a night because we were planning to take the train from Roma Termini the next day. It was so convenient - we got off the Leonardo Express at Termini and reached the hotel on foot within 5 minutes. Front desk staff was very warm and friendly, and gave us lots of tips on where to go during the short time we had in Rome. It was walkable to lots of things to eat and do - for example, we got to the Spanish Steps in 15 minutes on foot at a relaxed pace. Room was very comfortable and clean. We had a lovely complimentary breakfast delivered straight to our room on a tray - I loved the way they let us order, by ticking boxes on a sign and hanging it outside the door (if you are really hungry you can order as much as you want!) The staff were kind enough to let us get breakfast at 645am so that we could catch our early train, even though usually breakfast starts at 7am. The only things that could be improved are that the pillows are quite flat, and in our room the water temperature ran hot and cold rather unpredictably. Otherwise, a pleasant stay.

11/10 stay. Fabio and Francesca from Magnolia St.Peter's Suites were absolutely amazing hosts. I haven't experienced such hospitable and outstanding service in a very long time. Honestly, they went above and beyond to make our one-night stay truly memorable. From the friendly and welcoming checkin process to the great breakfast (Francesca, that cappuccino was amazing!), and a truly heartwarming sendoff, it felt like we were staying with family. As if the service wasn't enough, the facilities were in perfect condition. The room was spotless, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was hot and had great water pressure. It was quiet and very relaxing. I just wish we could have stayed for more than one night! Highly recommended. Thank you again Fabio and Francesca for an amazing stay!

We stayed at the Via Cavour 150 location and it was great. Walking distance to most of the city and a quick Uber if you got tired. Only a 150 meters from the metro and great night life just a block away. Lost of local eateries. Simple breakfast nook, just enough to get the day started. Staff was friendly and at your call on the phone. Warning, if you are a needy traveler who requires constant front desk service, this is not for you. If you are an independent traveler who can make your own plans and make your own way. Fantastic place. Don't get me wrong, if you need help, the staff is only a phone call or email away and they were very helpful with check in and checkout, they are just not sitting at a vacant front desk. We would absolutely stay here again.

Via Veneto
We were here from Friday until Tuesday and have had a fantastic stay. The host sent us a description on how to arrive to the appartment before we came which was very helpful. When we arrived he gave us many tipps and showed us the map with the important sighseeing we have to do. Also we were given vouchers for breakfast for the cafe below. Great! We could contact him and ask questions all the time he was always willing to help. We would definately recommend coming here when visiting Rome! Excellent!

Pantheon
Third time of staying here. Booked only a few months ago, so were happy to get the booking. Unfortunately at 14 square metres space, hardly room to move about. The view is still wonderful. On the downside, the lower paintwork was also looking a bit tired. All that said, Piazza Navona is the place to be, people watching, all the action in the Piazza even when raining is a sight to behold. Some have mentioned the breakfast, it is a pain regarding the 09.15hrs start time, but croissants, toast, tea, orange juice and jam, there is plenty to enjoy. We would definitely book again.

Trastevere
We ended up here quite by accident as our booked hotel had double booked us. I am so glad they did as this was a lovely place to be in the glorious back streets of Trastevere, the view from our room across the rooftops was glorious as was the interior decor and make sure you visit the gorgeous chapel on the second floor. It's minutes walk from the river and from there to all the major sites in Rome and is close to dozens of fabulous restaurants in the heart of Trastevere. Friendly staff and a lovely buffet breakfast capped a lovely stay.

Spagna
We stayed here for 3 nights and 4 days while in Rome. It's about a 12 euro cab from the main train station in Rome. We found it to be a pretty decent and central location for all the attractions in Rome. The colosseum was the furthest for walking (if I remember correctly about 45 minutes..) but we enjoyed walking everywhere so we did not mind. There is public transit close by the hotel if you don't want to walk. Everything else seemed pretty close. The hotel itself is quite large (both room and bathroom) and everything was very clean. The staff is very helpful. It is almost like an apartment as you have your own keys to enter in and out of the building. They provide breakfast in the morning on which you fill out the the night before and can decide when you'd like it as well. Water pressure in the hotel was good and lots of warm water if you need it. Seemed safe to walk around at night time. Also had lots of restaurants near by! Would stay again and would recommend.

Termini Central Station
We have just returned from a 5 night stay at the Hotel Galileo and would highly recommend for an excellent base for sightseeing at a very reasonable price. We booked a Superior Triple room which was surprisingly spacious , we were expecting it to be a little cramped for 3 adults. The room was clean ,the beds comfortable and the bathroom very large compared to some we have had in Italy! We had a balcony which looked over the rooftops and the hotel's outside seating area. There was no noise from traffic which was great. We did find the room a little warm,as the weather was not cold, even with the radiator turned off and the air conditioning was a little noisy to leave on at night but no big deal. We did come back one afternoon to find a puddle of water on the floor inside the balcony doors, it had been raining very hard and somehow had run inside but not a problem, just soaked it up with a towel . The hotel's location is excellent , a short walk to both Termini and Castro Pretorio metro stations , or if you prefer a walk not terribly far from the major sights. Staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast not very varied but the usual selection and plenty of it. Would definitely stay here again if visiting this beautiful city
