Raaga Home is located within the city conveniently but still away from the hustle and bustle. Very silent place, close to Rana Pratap station. It is a well equipped fully furnished place with 3 Bedrooms, hall, kitchen, dining area. We were 4 friends visiting Udaipur and had taken entire place. Our stay was extremely comfortable. Place is sparkling clean, linen in bedroom and bathroom were clean and fresh. Hot water geyser is provided in each bathroom for 24 hours hot water. House is cleaned everyday by maids. Kitchen is self contained with stove. Oven, kettle, Refrigerator, cutlery, utensils, tea coffee satchets etc, virtually everything required for self cooking. We cooked two days for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed. Breakfast is complimentary and served steaming hot parathas everyday before 9 am. There is a nice dining area. The host of Raaga Home , Sultan Singh Ji, is a thorough gentle ***, soft spoken, polished and prompt in his communication and flexible in approach. He is quite knowledgeable of all tourist places and guided us with his valuable advice. We stayed in Raaga home for 3 nights and 4 days and our stay was extremely comfortable and enjoyed every moment. We recommend Raaga Home strongly and would love to come back to stay here in future.

Cannot speak highly enough of the staff here. Nothing but positive feedback. We got a complimentary room upgrade right off the bat. Partho and Shivam were absolutely lovely and looked after us beautifully at the rooftop bar. Shivam even helped me out at breakfast the next day by customising a drink for me to help with a slightly upset tummy. Finally the duty ***ager, Mr. Laal organised an excellent dinner for us at the luxurious and beautiful Jag ***dir Island Palace restaurant. Highly highly recommend this place and it's fantastic staff. Thank you team for a most pleasant experience.

Excellent and luxurious place. We had our 2 year old kid, hence, we were very particular while choosing the hotel in Udaipur. Ambay Villa was more than what was expected. Excellent hospitality, luxurious room at a reasonable rate. We were also allowed to use their kitchen for preparing food for our kid. Special thanks to Rajendra Singh Chudawat for the hospitality and also planning the Udaipur sight seeing. Though you may need to travel ~4 kms for the famous places like Pichola and City palace, but it doesn't take more than 10 mins and the place is definitely worth the travel. Hope they will continue the same hospitality.

We stayed in this resort for a family wedding. The ambience is great and so is the location. It is almost in the heart of the city.As it is a bit away from the main road, its situation makes it safe for the children as well as free from all sorts of pollution. The place is very spacious. Ample parking space is there. The rooms too are big. But the place needs maintenance. Rooms are not in very good condition. The switches are broken, water taps are leaking and so on. It is a pity that they don't have even proper cable connection. When I asked they told that only a few news channels (free to air) are available. The staff is indifferent. No body attends the calls.

I had to visit Udaipur on an urgent task with my business partner and chose to travel by road from Delhi due to COVID-19. Since our client team was also staying at Raghu Mahal, we chose this hotel with a twin-bed room. Although the room size was quite small with only one table for working, a pretty discount made a nice deal for us. The housekeeping and other room service was a little slow, than we are used to, probably because lesser staffing due to COVID-19. Unlike other hotels across India, this Hotel arranged the buffet breakfast in Dining Hall itself as usual which was comfortable for us as compared to In-Room Dining. With acceptable hygiene, the early 7 AM breakfast was nice and filled us well in time for a long working day. Udaipur is a very small city still this Hotel was conveniently located towards our place of business so we did not have to cross the entire city morning traffic. Overall, I also liked the boutique feel of the Hotel unlike one of those chain-franchisee hotels.

Rangniwas is a relatively small, stylish hotel in a old residence, few steps away from the City Palace entrance. It’s very central, therefore don’t expect a quiet area around it, even if at night you can rest well. The rooms have been recently restored with a contemporary taste and good materials. They have the best bathrooms we have found in a 3 weeks trip in India! Breakfast is well prepared, all is cooked upon request, all fresh. It is served in the garden and they arranged some heaters to overcome the cold Winter. Heaters are available also in the rooms. It’s the only hotel that gave us a map of the city explaining the best places to explore without asking. The owner is a very kind person. We would definitely recommend it!

I stayed for two days and one night in Udaipur and was searching for a nice place where I could also unwind in the process. I heard from a friend about this quaint hotel called Mewar Haveli, overlooking Lake Pichola. Further research left me with a good impression and so I decided to go ahead with it. It was one of the best decisions I made. Unlike those huge, swanky hotels which you would usually find, this turned out to be cosy and surprisingly felt like home. I booked a lake view room. The room was spacious and interiors tastefully done. Everything was in perfect order, set for welcoming me into the room when I checked in. The housekeeping service was very prompt and did not give me any room for complaint. Needless to say, the view from the room was beautiful. Sitting in the evening, with the sun setting, sipping a delicious cup of tea and taking in the view of the lake was just what I needed. The entire premises has a rustic feel to it, which adds to the overall charm of the place. The best part about this hotel is the staff and the people who work there. Extremely courteous, on their toes and welcoming - they really make your day. Mewar Haveli has a lovely open air restaurant ***** with a closed dining area. Both offer a panaromic view of the lake, with a completely different feel. The service was excellent and so was the food. I opted for North Indian Veg food in the meal I had there, since that is my usual preference. Paneer Do Pyaza had soft, melt in the mouth pieces of paneer, with just the right amount of spice in the gravy. I coupled this with Mix Vegetable and cheese naan, topping it with a perfect lassi. The food was fresh and steaming hot, with delicious flavour. They are looking to expand their menu with a number of more cuisines which include Italian,Israeli,a few continental dishes, mocktails and smoothies ***** with new items in the Indian section. I had a very relaxed time at this hotel and would definitely like to come back to it for a longer trip next time. It is a perfect example of how careful attention to nuances and ensuring comfort of the customer goes a long way. Thumbs up to the entire team of Mewar Haveli, keep it up!

My husband and I booked the vacation from California. Right from the booking to our 4 night stay there, everything was A++. We had requested hotel car to pick us up from the airport. When our flight arrived in the evening, a 7-series BMW with very friendly and warm driver was waiting for us. He explained the history and pointed out points of interest in the surrounding areas. He took us to their own dock where were were greeted by two employees of Leela's and ushered to the small boat that took us to the hotel. Everything breeze with the lights shimmering on the calm lake, disturbed only by our boat. Beautiful! When we got down from the boat, we were greeted with folk music played by local musicians. When we stepped inside the hotel, we were showed with real flower petals. Yes, flower petals falling on us from above. So we look up and find a person gently throwing petals on us. When we arrived in our lake front room, accompanied by the front desk ***ager, we were greeted by a Butler waiting with 2 cups of best tasting Swiss hot chocolate. Every meal we had in the hotel, from breakfast, to lunch to dinner was absolutely unbelievable. (I am an avid cook and have very high standards for Indian food. So believe me when I say the food was great.) The chefs were ready to cook special food for us. They made us feel very special. Their outdoor restaurant is an experience. They have a local lady cooking all special Indian breads in front of you. All you need to do is sit back, relax, and enjoy the view of the gentle waives of the lake, beautifully it palace, while listening to the soft notes of the local musical instrument being played a few feet away. You cannot believe that life can be so beautiful and peaceful, until you have experienced this yourself. Each morning, we were woken by the gentle sounds of a flute being played by a local musician in the courtyard that is located in the center of the hotel. The same courtyard got transformed into a stage for the local dancers to show off their art, colors, and music. The property is beautiful. You feel you are living inside your dream. The furniture, paintings, fresh flowers, window coverings, carpets... Everything is so beautifully put together. The people are warm, welcoming and just waiting for the opportunity to please you. I am a huge critic. I find faults with everything. But I could not find a single fault in this place. If you are planning a trip to India, be sure to visit this Leela Palace. I highly recommend it.

This is a lovely little boutique hotel run by artists. (There's a studio/shop downstairs well worth a perusal) The rooms are comfortable with a homely asthetic touch. It's well within the price range of budget travellers (Under 1500 rupes for a double when we checked in) and situated just below the City Palace so the views from the roof are spectacular day and night and an ideal place for a cold beer. The staff are all eager to engage and have a laugh. They really make an effort to make your stay pleasant and stress free. Anything they can get you, they will. You can keep your soulless 5 star mega palaces this is the place for me. Thanks Sanjou, Rajou and all the boys. (Just one warning. Not good if you can't handle stairs. Chillax Cafe is on the 4th floor. No lift)

Room was clean and comfortable for a short stay. I requested a room with a cute window seat and recommend you do this as not all rooms are equal and these ones are much more inviting. The location is good and most tuktuks can easily find it. My check in was terrible - waiting around for a while with noone acknowledging me. An older guy just walked passed me a few times me until I actually asked if I could check in. He didn't say a word and looked tired and grumpy, was not a friendly welcome at all. So this meant I knew nothing about the wifi, about the restaurant hours ect ect I asked later, and it turns out he was the electrician & had no idea. Room was nice and clean, if I had any complaints at all it would be the shower has no enclosed space so it floods the bathroom. Other than this everything has modern fixtures and the rooms appear nicely renovated for the price you pay, it is good value. Comfy, clean bed for a good night's sleep too. Restaurant was efficient, much better service and food was decent. Absolutely fantastic rooftop terrace, a vibrant vibe with a nice view of Lake Pichola. I also loved the resident pet dog that came to say hello a few times. All in all, a decent place and I would return for the good value, would just be nice to be made to feel welcome.

Stayed here at golden tulip Udaipur for 3 days in Dec 2019. We were a group of 16 people (10 adults and 6 children) and we stayed in 5 different rooms at Golden Tulip The positives: 1) Check-in process was a breeze. Though some of us arrived a couple of hours prior to the check-in time, the staff (I would like to call out Mr A*** from the front desk team) helped us secure the rooms so that we could all settle down before stepping out for sightseeing. 2) The service personnel were very friendly and helped us with suggestions for dinner at the hotel's restaurant 3) The food here at the restaurant was good. We had ala carte menu on one day and buffet dinner on the other day. One of the evenings they had the Ghazals program/live perfor***ce at the restaurant and it very enjoyable. Also, we found the breakfast to be good 4) The reception area and other public areas in the ground floor of the hotel were spacious and well maintained Now, coming to the "not-so-positives": 1) Rooms and toilets/bathrooms need renovation/refurbishment. Certainly, "look old" 2) The central air conditioning/heating does not seem to work consistently in all rooms. For example - of he five rooms we reserved, in two of the rooms the temperature was very cold where as we had very warm temperature in the other rooms. We had to talk to the people at reception multiple times to get the temperature fixed every day. 3) Location of the hotel - a little away from the key attractions of Udaipur All in all - an "OKAY" experience.
