|6.29km from city centerA customer review is an evaluation of a product or service made by someone who has purchased and used, or had experience with, a product or service. The Sonesta Simply Suites / Atlanta Gwinnett Place has been for me and my family, simply a home away from home. What a remarkable experience while staying at this hotel. From its leadership staff to housekeeping, from rooms to the exercise facility - all are very clean, very comfortable, and are very accommodating. They continue to go over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone who is looking for a short vacation, business travel or plan to utilize the extended-stay accommodations. This is the perfect hotel for a weekend getaway. The convenience and the local amenities in the area are the best kept secret and the Sonesta Simply Suites / Atlanta Gwinnett Place offers everything you need if you don’t feel like venturing too far out into the City of Atlanta. As a business consultant, I know that engaging workplaces are the ones that enjoy more ideas and creativity. In the world of digital transformation and constant change, having employees with exceptional leadership, new ideas, and service excellence are extremely beneficial to employers and even more to their customers. Our extended-stay time has taken us through several experiences and holiday seasons. And to see how the staff accommodates not only our family, but the entire tenant guest-list on these special holidays have been extremely personal, engaging and refreshing. Undoubtedly, the management team are the core of Sonesta Simply Suites / Atlanta Gwinnett Place success. In particular, one MVP, the Operations Manager named (Gee). Gee’s leadership and oversight is felt throughout the hotel and property; as she goes over and beyond to ensure that Sonesta Simply Suites / Atlanta Gwinnett Place customers and tenants have exceptional experiences. All service-centric businesses (hotels) have different touch-points (operations, check-in, front-desk, housekeeping, memberships, parking, etc.) throughout their organization. At each touch-point customers can recognize her DNA which is very apparent. Moreover, my family and I love both the character and the charm of this hotel - Sonesta Simply Suites / Atlanta Gwinnett Place which does not give you the routine chain hotel vibe at all. Sonesta Simply Suites / Atlanta Gwinnett Place has hit an “HOME RUN” within the Gwinnett County Community and with our family. It is our most generous pleasure to write this review giving Sonesta Simply Suites / Atlanta Gwinnett Place, Gēe (Operations Manager) and her staff the highest review and would rate them 11 out of the 5 STARS model.

|6.4km from city centerThe hotel has convenient transportation and no noisy. It can be said that it is quiet. The sanitary conditions are very good and the big bed is soft and comfortable. The variety of breakfast is also very rich, especially the egg cake is more suitable for Chinese taste. In short, if you live in Atlanta, this hotel is a good choice, cost-effective.

|5.33km from city centerWe stayed at this property last night for a quick overnight stay while visiting Atlanta to watch the Braves play. We almost always stay at Hilton properties and have been to a lot of Embassies. This was one of the more modern and nicer ones. The room was clean and comfortable and very quiet. The breakfast was very good with lots of options. Perhaps my favorite thing about this hotel was the “Happy Hour” snacks and drinks. With a full buffet, we were able to eat a light dinner (chicken tenders, fried okra, salad, pasta, pimento cheese and other spreads and even banana pudding!) and save money at the ballpark. Overall, this was a great stay and we would definitely stay again if in the area!

|6.63km from city centerHad a personal reason to come to this area with the family, specifically chose this hotel as it was located where I wanted to be and Hilton-branded properties are the only ones with a guarantee on connecting rooms. It also helped that the property had ”glowing” reviews on TA. The rooms and breakfast are what you would expect from any Hampton Inn. The location is a bit ”rough” as the neighboring Clarion Suites seems to attract a bad crowd. However, the hotel does employ a security guard during the overnight hours to patrol the parking lot and property. However, the reasons for my 1/5 review is due to the service I received. To be clear, I realize this is a Hampton Inn, not a Waldorf Astoria. However, there still is a basic level of hospitality and customer service that should be provided, especially as brand standards aren't being followed here. It's obvious that the hotel has staffing and training issues, but this isn't a guest's responsibility and management shouldn't hide behind the curtain. Unless you absolutely need to be in this area, I cannot recommend this hotel to others as they aren't providing a basic level of customer service and management is nowhere to be found whenever an issue arises. You can stay at other properties in the area that will provide a similar experience, but at a fraction of the cost that this Hampton Inn is charging.

|5.76km from city centerThis place sucks don’t waste your time, there are 4 other hotels around this dog, please try your luck there this place needs to be shut down and renovated. The beds are very soft and sinking the room carpet filthy, bathroom fixtures broken, 4 of the 5 room lights were broken/needed bulbs, air conditioner wouldn’t cool past 80 degrees I did complain loudly about this considering summer in GA they did have that unit ripped out of the wall and replaced with one from the 5 th floor? Finally did cool the room something that should have been figured out before renting it out in my opinion again summer in GA!! All this done while we were in the room. Shower head was just propped against hand rail, holder was non existent that would be reported to maintenance?? The furniture dirty/ripped I can’t believe this is a Wyndham property was quite shocking. The hot tub is shut down and currently holding construction materials When questioned front desk said they’re doing away with that anyway and should probably address that on the website! Ya think?? The kicker for me anyway was the door to the pool area.. the pool is full and in working order, but after you exit the hotel into the pool area your room key will not work in the broken key card reader! I pounded on the door till someone came they said oh I’ll tell maintenance and kicked the rug under the door to keep it open!! I can see the hallways filled with flys and other bugs now. What a mess this place is…honestly pay more avoid this headache

|6.42km from city centerWhile the hotel is clean and nice the check in process was horrible the person working 3-11-4-12 had a very nasty attitude. My husband and I went out to eat and go to a spa with friends and got back to the hotel around 3 am when we came out to go to breakfast we found that several cars in the lot has been vandalized but having their windows busted including ours. The hotel staff was outside trying to clean the glass away before people go out to see what happened luckily we got out there before they could get to the glass near our window so we didn’t have any proof or photos to take. I didn’t feel safe staying there another night if I was able to get my window fixed for fear thatthh ge try would bust it again. Unfortunately with the Memorial Day holiday no one could come out so we ended up having to tape the window up and schedule an appt back home 4 hours away. I do not recommend staying here if you value your vehicle because they will remind you they have a sign posted it’s at your own risk as if you can fold your car up and take it with you!

|5.76km from city centerI gave 3 stars because of the lead employees. But if it was just for the GM. I would give 0. She has a bipolar/ schizophrenic demeanor. One minute she’s ok… happy, excited you’re here…….. then she’s turns into someone not fit to manage. Especially if she cannot work in a fast paced environment. When I first got here, I’ve seen the rude side.. but I didn’t think anything of it, I also decided to stay to myself because it wasn’t my business….. then it was my turn for her to flip out, for whatever reason. But the funny part is she does it in a “professional” way so that she can get away with it. I’m sorry but I’ve spent over 3k living in the hotel for about a month. I woke up one morning to her banging telling me to get out. I don’t know why, I also was not about to argue with her. So I decided to get my things and leave. I’m in Atlanta because my sister went missing, so I’ve been handing out fliers stressed out. Her excuse for the way she acted was that of “to much traffic.” I’m confused because I stay in my room, if I’m not out passing out fliers. I just really wish it was a better approach on how she went about things, But it wasnt. Crazy she begged me to do this for her, and I said yes with excitement. But unfortunately I have to give a bad review. Only for her though. The other employees were great my full stay. 🤍

|5.72km from city centerUnfortunately, Due to a delayed flight we decided to stay one night in ATL instead of driving home today. I booked using priceline. I normally book directly but priceline’s price was way more cheaper. Like before, I was traveling with my children, and I understand not having two beds since I only booked a room with a King bed and a sofa bed, but unfortunately the sofa bed didn't come with a pillow. So I called the front desk to request for pillow and I was told that there’s no pillows available anywhere. Apparently there is no housekeeping available at 8:00PM and they have no way to access the housekeeping inventory. I have never heard of this! I was so tired of dealing with it so I guess we just had to sleep with no pillow. I loved this hotel, and stayed here several times, but I think if this is what I get booking with priceline, I don’t think this is Marriott standard with this type of service. I don’t know If this worth driving and staying at this hotel when there are others closer. Along with this issue, we found a crayon in the sofa, and a tissue in the trash can. In this time of covid craziness, I sure hope my room was cleaned! I honestly don’t know what to think at this point. This was terrible service. They couldn’t even get a pillow from an unused room?? Ridiculous. To top it off, I emailed the hotel manager about my stay and she didn’t even respond! If a manager doesn’t even care about their customers, I can’t even imagine how the staff cares for their hotel. I would not stay here…and I won’t in the future. Poor staff and management.

|6.58km from city centerCheck in was 6pm and I wasn't informed anything that I had to know such as I had to ask for the sofa bed beddings at check in and they store all dishware inside dishwasher. As I mentioned before, the room didn't even have one piece of towel, no pots and pans, no kitchen cloth or sponges, no soap dish.... and I found all these at midnight when I returned to my room after a long day. The worst thing out of everything was MOLD! Bathtub was full of mold. I went to the front office the 2nd day morning and asked to bring all lacked items and cleaning the molded area. Even after showed pictures of the filthy tub, the guys in front kept saying they were just residue. No one cleaned the bathroom afrer my request. So I cleaned them myself since I didn't want to shower in moldy tub. And yes they were mold not residue! I took couple videos since they didn't buy my photos. But the 3rd day morning, the front office was empty for 5mns and I didn't feel like waiting any longer for bad service. I still have all photos and videos. I left detailed review at Marriott official website and their response was quick but not helpful. The hotel manager sent me a very ordinary email days later, saying she'll share this info with housekeeping team, so I sent her all pics and video I took from the room. Manager didn't even open those files for weeks after. As other reviewers said, this place never take guests' troubles seriously at all. Out of many Residence Inn I stayed for years, this one was my worst experience for sure.

|5.8km from city centerOriginally we were in a room that was kinda stale smelling. The building is old. We couldn't get the TV to work. So I went to my vehicle and got the laptop but couldn't get a good signal for Wi-Fi. So we asked for another room and it was given. What got me is that I was asked to give a deposit of $50.00. And was told I would get it back in 24 to 48 hours. That time has passed as I've been waiting now for the third day. They expect you to pay right then and they should give you your deposit when you check out. The place is not a 4 or 5 star hotel. 2.5 is it's rating. I've driven back down there and talked to a clerk. He was nice enough about it but couldn't do anything for me. We incurred no damage to the facility. So where the heck is my money?? They would ask the same thing if I stayed another night which wasn't about to happen. And you know that was the first time I've ever been asked for a deposit. Next time if asked for one I will turn around and walk out. Not right to hold a person's money like that.
