Rented the big purple room. The quick stay overnight bed torrent was great. Quiet and plenty of room. Great background music with the birds in the a.m. its situated near the freeway but you hardly notice it. Great place to stay overnight on your journey. Maybe I will see you there!

This hotel was very close to Hollywood and Western Metro, that was great. There is a McDonalds, there is a Food for Less, there is a El Pollo Loco nearby and then the Metro into DTLA and Hollywood and NoHo closeby, so all greats. Also there is a fridge in the room! This is the first time I've stayed in a motel in Hollywood that has had a fridge. They give you free water too The wifi is good and free and the staff are nice and friendly. The downsides are that the beds are rock solid. I didn't sleep the whole first night and probably only slept from exhaustion the second night (I had been travelling for 24 hours, and then up all day so maybe 36+ hours of no sleep). There are no coffee facilities.

There is no breakfast, hot water is served at the front desk, and coffee is served in the morning. The environment is average, but it's quite safe. The location is very good, very close to the subway red line and there are buses such as 207 nearby. It's also very safe around 9pm. The sound insulation effect is not good, but the industry does not affect it. It is night to return to the hotel, and everyone is preparing to rest regardless of the impact. Parking is available, but I didn't drive. I think the public transport industry is good.

I stayed here for 3 days last week during the 4'th of July celebration. It was a 15 minute walk from the Hollywood/Western Metro Station and a 20 minute walk to Hollywood/Vermont Metro Station. Check in was fast and easy. I appreciated the brochure/map rack and pizza restaurant menus! Room was spotless. No bugs. Water pressure in shower was fantastic. I appreciated the fridge in the room. Bed was average for a motel. It was clean also. Location was good. McDonalds, Grocery Store, Liquor Store, and tons of local fast food restaurants within walking distance. If you want to visit Griffith Park Hollywood sign take the metro or walk to the Hollywood/Vermont station and catch the Dash shuttle to Griffith Park. It's only 50 cents. DTLA is only a 13 minute subway ride also. Hollywood/Highland is only a 5 minute ride away that's where the main sights in Hollywood are or you could take a Uber or Lyft. Wifi was super fast also. I enjoyed my stay very much and would definitely stay here if I visit LA again in the future.

I visited the Hollywood historic hotel for 3 nights last week with my wife for a short surprise break and must say we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. On arrival we were greeted by Michael one of the managers who proved to be a friendly approachable guy only too willing to help, as was the lady (sorry I didn't get your name) on reception the following day. The hotel is full of character and a real reminder of days gone by. The rooms were spotlessly clean and more than ample. Their bar, the Edmon, is, as some others have described, well looked after and serves excellent food. Michael recommended the burgers and he was right! Delicious! Location wise? I suppose it depends on what you want to do. For us it was perfect because the hop on tour bus picks up a few minutes away from the hotel just past Paramount studios. The starline red bus picks up on North Gower Street and the big red bus picks up a little nearer on Vine St. They tour in a loop to all the usual tourist places. I.e. Sunset strip, Beverley Hills, Rodeo drive, right out to Venice beach and Santa Monica pier. Be aware though because the traffic in LA is horrendous. The 14 mile journey to Santa Monica took 3 hours each way! So plan on that if you're only on a short break. Much nearer are Sunset strip and Rodeo drive at about 5/6 miles. We booked Uber to take us to the Rainbow bar and grill, which cost about $35 in total . Any motorhead fans or fans of hard rock in general will know the attraction of this place! Of course Paramount studios are literally 60 seconds away from the hotel as is the entrance for the studio tour. In the opposite direction, and if you're a Laurel and Hardy fan, you can visit the iconic Music Box Steps in Silverlake. This can, if you don't mind, be walked to. At about 2.5 miles each way its doable if you're fit. Directions are easily found on Google maps and are easy to follow too! Just a few pointers about breakfast. Turn left out of the hotel and walk up Melrose past Paramount for about 7 minutes and the astro burger bar serves all the usual breakfast stuff. Very nice too! In terms of restaurants, again turn left and there are plenty to choose from if you want a change. If you want a chemist and as you turn up North Gower St you'll find a big supermarket with all the usual amenities that you find in the UK. If you haven't booked the shuttle for airport (LAX) journeys, be aware that if you need a taxi you'll need to factor in that LA traffic! Its 17 miles to the airport from the hotel so you'll need to be setting off a good hour at least before your earliest check in time. All in all a good hotel with nice staff who are only too willing to help. Well done!

Ok the area this hotel is in isnt the most beautiful but the price was awesome. We stayed 4 nights and found the location great. There is a laundromat literally 100 metres away, also next door was a 99cent store to get snacks, cereal, milk, you name it they had it. So I could feed my family cheaply and healthy. The shower worked well and so did the AC. Wifi was quick and didnt drop out. We were able to store our luggage early and the manager supplied us with a kettle for our tea that we drink. We are walkers so had no problems walking to the walk of fame, to the bus stops to go to Santa Monica and was able to get to the local train stops easily. The pizza shop next was also great value. THere is parking on site also.

I stayed at this Super 8 for 3 nights, arriving late last Wednesday night. The night clerk was pleasant, but the time to check in seemed like it took an unusual amount of time. My room was on the 3rd floor, overlooking the Mexican restaurant on Western. For 1 person, the room was large enough. It was clean, and it smelled good. The bed was large enough, and with a couple more days, my back would have been totally adjusted to the beds firmness. The bathroom was clean. The shower worked very well. The tv seemed very new, and the display was about as nice as I have ever seen. I did not take part in the breakfast in the front lobby area, other than to pour myself a cup of coffee. I visited 2 nearby places for breakfast. Including a Dennys, and the Dreams Café and Bar. UCB Sunset is right around the corner from the hotel. The Hollywood/Western Metro rail station is about a block and a half away. There is a Walgreens basically right next door. The price for my 3 night stay was not too bad. I liked the location for what I wanted to do in town, and having the metro rail line so close. If I came to the area again, and the price was right, I would stay there again. Otherwise I might check out one of the several other nearby hotels.

Great location, clean but has problems. We rented two rooms. In the first room the air conditioner did not work at all. Fortunately it was not hot out, but The room was still stuffy and overly warm. In the second room the air conditioner worked fine but would not shut off, and there was no way to adjust the temperature. Eventually we had to turn it off but the fan ran full blast all night. The bathrooms were very small and kind of beat up, but clean enough. My main complaint is that the showerhead was so restricted that water only ran about a cup a minute. It took a long time after I lathered up to stand there and wash the shampoo and soap off. The facility is old and could use some maintenance, but at least it was clean. The neighborhood was pretty quiet though in the middle of the night some loud people were yelling outside and loud cars would go by periodically. The location is great for downtown Hollywood, about a mile from the Pantages theater. We walked to the theater and back at night, and although there were some unsavory characters along the way it did not seem dangerous at all. I would stay here again but would insist on having a room whose air-conditioning worked. The beds were very comfortable. The linens, floor and bathroom all appeared to be clean. The swimming pool outside was very clean, though it was too cool for us to swim in February. The courtyard area and hallways were all clean. The fellow at the front desk was surly but not unkind. He just did not smile or have much to say, certainly not friendly.

Worst hotel i have ever checked into- so bad we couldn't actually sleep there. Bad smell, outdated decor, dirty, noisy and bad service. The bathroom was absolutely filthy and the bath and sink were completely unusable. Avoid, avoid, avoid!

This was the best decision I made. I also booked this via Agoda. If you are traveling on a budget and want to be in a safe area, stay here. Its across the street from the Netflix headquarters, The Hollywood Sign was in great view from my room, Denny's is in walking distance so I went there for breakfast, and I only paid $3 for a Lyft to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The rooms were very clean and huge! I stayed in LA for 5 days and paid $640, which isn't bad considering the weekend. For most of the really nice hotels, you'll be paying between $1200-$1700 for 5 days, so this was a deal. I plan on staying here again.

The location of this hotel is very good, just across the road is a big supermarket! Procurement supplies are particularly powerful! Free parking! The deposit is 100 yuan. There is a microwave refrigerator in the house. Free parking. Easy access to attractions around Hollywood! Pictures and rooms are the same! Although there is no breakfast, you can purchase it! Although there are homeless people around, it does not affect the mood of going out. Tramps pose no threat to us, no one cares

Amy Bloch, the Concierge, contacted us about 2 weeks before our arrival asking if there was anything she could do for us either setting up any tours, restaurant suggestions and reservations or anything we might need. After asking for suggestions on restaurants she did send me quite a selection of different types of restaurants along with things to do around Hollywood and Los Angeles. When my friend and I arrived Amy greeted us at the front desk, welcoming us to the Roosevelt Hotel. The entire staff from the front desk, the guys at the valet parking, housekeeping and room service were outstanding. They couldn't do enough for us. Everyone at the hotel, especially Amy made our stay simply fantastic. The Roosevelt Hotel is the only place we would stay in Hollywood.

Downtown Los Angeles
It's a big place like Los Angeles, and the room is so small, I feel drunk too. It is too small to open the luggage, which is inconvenient to open. I specifically explained that I want a quiet room. The garbage truck on the street started to pull garbage less than 5:00 in the morning. The staff talked. I thought the window was not closed. As a result, there was no window for you to open. It was just a piece of glass with light. Just come in. A small refrigerator, placed on a shelf, but not in a cabinet. There is nothing in the refrigerator, but it is plugged in, and the operation noise is noisy all night. It will collapse when you live one day. No one will help you. Carry luggage. No one asks if you need help. Is this still Los Angeles I know? The beds are ok, moderately hard and soft. The location is good. It is convenient to walk everywhere, and around breakfast. Walking on HIlls street towards 3rd street, everything is there. May not stay here next time, unless there is no choice.

Los Angeles International Airport Area
Because of the proximity to the airport, the sound of the plane taking off and landing has never stopped, quiet is not enough, and I can sleep. The hotel room did not actively provide slippers, toothbrushes and toothpaste. It was okay to call to ask the housekeeping to arrive. The bathtub has no glass door, just a plastic shower curtain. The shower faucet is fixed to the wall. There is a free shuttle to the airport 24 hours. The driver also helped to carry luggage up and down. The service was good.

My family has been using the Anza hotel for all of our trips to the Calabasas/LA area for the past 4 years or so, and we love it here. I hope we can continue to rely on the Anza for years to come. Beautiful rooms, superb location, and best of all they allow pets! The prices for rooms are very reasonable and they all have a nice "boutique feel" to them which adds something special. I want to add an extra note about my last stay here, which took place during the first days of the Covid-19 outbreak. I traveled alone without my husband and child to Calabasas/California because I needed to be with a gravely ill parent who soon passed away. Being able to stay in a comfortable hotel during this awful period was such a comfort to me, and I want to add that Ryan, who works at the Bistro restaurant and bar, was especially great to me during this time. Ryan prepared delicious meals for me, got to know me and my love for an evening glass of wine right away, and was a warm, friendly presence when I came home from the hospital at night (and in later days, came home to the hotel after days spent making final arrangements). Ryan and the team at the Anza who continued to work during the stressful days of Covid-19 "stay at home restrictions" were truly a blessing to me and I value, and am so grateful for, their work on the behalf of me and other guests who really needed a hotel stay for emergency reasons.

Everything was on point! All the staff were very accommodating! I arrived early Saturday and I was lucky to get a room early. Which helped a lot since we were on the go per our Soccer Tournament. When we needed a space to have our potluck in the evening they helped with our set up. Everyone was very friendly and customer service was amazing!
