The location is very good. Parking at the entrance costs 2 Euros per hour, and parking underground costs 18 Euros a day. There are underground parking spaces in the supermarket across the road. The restaurant downstairs is not a good place for eating. The Chinatown Restaurant on the Leipzig Street within 15 minutes walk is excellent. It's highly recommended.

Compared to other Novotels, this one in Berlin Mitte has seen a bit of wear and tear. We - a family of four - had a family room on the second floor facing Kleine Gertraudenstraße, which, despite the name, is a major thoroughfare. There was a lot of street noise - beware, light sleepers - but this might not be such a problem on a higher floor. The room itself was on the small side for four but spotlessly clean with a huge tv. No amenities in the room (corona cited as the reason). The bathroom would have been the height of chic a few years back, with a spacious walk-in shower. It all looks a bit worn now though. A small bar of soap was provided and this not only left a rubbery feel on the hands but left a lot of scum on the dark-brown sink. A liquid soap dispenser, like that in the shower, would be a better idea. A small bottle of body lotion and something masquerading as shampoo were also provided. The "shampoo" was exactly the same as the soap in the shower dispenser and was worst I've ever put on my head. My hair was almost crunchy afterwards. Very much advise bringing own. There's also a lack of hooks/knobs in the bathroom for towels, etc. This probably isn't a problem if the room is used for two guests. There simply isn't anywhere to hang four towels and any clothes/toiletries bags. I'll take one of those over-the-door hooks next time. Aside from these few niggles, the hotel is a great base for a short stay in Berlin. It's just a few mins walk from the underground and about 15 mins walk from Alexanderplatz. There's a supermarket right next door. Parking is very expensive but secure. The hotel has implemented several measures to keep guests safe during the corona crisis. They've done what they could with the breakfast buffet, for example. Some may be disappointed but we were satisfied, especially given the circumstances. The hotel was obviously operating at very low occupancy levels, however, with only 3 or 4 tables occupied at breakfast. Despite this, items ran out very quickly and were not/only very slowly replaced. On three of four days there was no jam; the one type of hard, sliced cheese regularly ran out; croissants disappeared entirely on more than one occasion; bacon was the holy grail... And when it did appear, it was rationed out one rasher to a jar (warm items are served portioned in sealed jars). Staff were friendly. Check-in/check-out uncomplicated and fast.

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights in December and we had a great stay at Cosmo Hotel. The hotel was easily accessible from Schönefeld airport using public transport; we took the RB14 train and then the Metro Line U2 for €3.40 each. We took a taxi back to Tegel airport and that cost just under €30.00. The room was a good size, and the bed was comfortable! The only thing we did miss was having a kettle with tea & coffee making facilities in the room. Breakfast at the hotel was good and there was plenty to choose from. The location was really good and we walked everywhere, even to East Side Gallery which was a pleasant 40 minute stroll. The hotel was in a great location for visiting the Christmas markets too! A special thanks to the guy on reception, Beck, who managed to check us into our room earlier than their usual 4pm check-in time, and for excellent food & sightseeing recommendations!

At around £50 per night, the Titanic Comfort Mitte is a great option for those on a budget. I stayed for 3 nights and found the hotel to be of a great standard. All the staff were very friendly and spoke great English. I had a problem with the hotel overcharging me on payment at check in, but this was quickly fixed when I notified the staff at the reception and the money was back in my account within 3 days. My room was clean and well stocked. Although the room was a bit small, as it was just me and I was only in the hotel to sleep at night, it didn’t bother me. Due to covid-19 measures, my room wasn’t cleaned while I was staying there, but this wasn’t an issue for me. There was a nice selection of channels in lots of different languages on the TV. The shower had a great pressure and was always with hot water. The only problem with the room was that the walls aren’t very soundproof and on my last night there was some drunk people coming back that were quite noisy and they woke me up. But for the price you pay, I think this was acceptable. The wifi was a bit hit or miss, but it’s free and easy to use. As I was on the ground floor I didn’t have a view but all the more reason to go out and explore Berlin! I pre-paid for the breakfast buffet and found the food to be delicious, hot and filling. There was a great selection for all types of people, especially nice were the pancakes. You have to wear a mask while serving yourself at the counter, which I thought was good since the hotel was looking out for the health and safety of the customers. There were lots of tables available to sit at and I didn’t have trouble finding one on either of the days I dined there. The staff were very attentive at restocking the buffet and cleaning. The location is excellent, the U-bahn station of Spittelmarkt is a 2 minute walk from the hotel, and it’s just a 5 minute journey to Alexanderplatz. Also close by is Brandenburg gate, the Holocaust memorial, the East Side Gallery, Museum Island and Checkpoint Charlie. There’s also lots of nice restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel, my favourite was the tapas restaurant on the same road. There is also a nice coffee shop near Spittelmarkt station, and a Lidl supermarket nearby if you want to buy any snacks. Overall, I had a really enjoyable stay and a great experience of Berlin. Thank you to all the staff, they are a credit to the hotel. Definitely recommend!

We stayed at the Park Plaza Berlin Mitte for 3 nights. The staff and safety precautions taken because of COVID-19 were great and I have nothing bad to say about that. All of the staff were very helpful. However, the decor and interior of the hotel was rundown. I found it to be quite scruffy and in a good need of renovation. The carpets were past their best as well as the furniture in the hotel. The hotel was also not the cleanest it could be eg. Dust in the wardrobe where clothes were meant to be placed. In addition, the shower head kept falling off every time it was turned on and the tap at the sink was leaking. I did sleep generally well and the hotel is quiet. I personally feel as though this hotel is not particularly central. There is an underground station very close but otherwise not much is in walking distance. Eg checkpoint Charlie is around a 20 minute walk and Alexanderplatz is around 20 minutes away as well. This isn’t too far but also perhaps not as central as we were expecting. Although, Berlin is a huge city so it’s not possible to be close to it all. There were a few cafes/restaurants near by which did appear popular. Overall, I was disappointed in the hotel. I feel the decor/interior really let it down.

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights when we visited Berlin. It’s a nice cozy hotel in a great location as Uban Underground is only just across the road from the hotel and only 2 stops to the city center Alexanderplatz where you can get trains and underground to all over Berlin including Airports including Schonefeld Airport. The hotel is only 20min walk to Alexanderplatz or 20mins walk to Checkpoint Charlie both areas which are very popular with tourists and you can hop on or off the open top tourists buses. Rooms a a bit small but a nice a quiet. We didn’t have breakfast here as it was finished very early at 10am sharp. Free water, tea, coffee and beer in the fridge in the room. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Berlin but even though a bit expensive for what you get.

Situated in a quiet area, equidistant to all the sights of both east and west Berlin and within 10/15 minutes' walk of at least 3 Christmas markets. Without exception, staff were friendly, efficient and helpful and there was a good standard of cleanliness throughout the hotel. Breakfast was extremely varied, freshly prepared and served in a delightful area, overlooking the atrium. The beds were comfortable, the in-room kettle and free bottles of water were very much appreciated and the heating system worked perfectly through four very cold nights. It was a pity that the bar was not open until the last night of our stay, but there is an excellent Lebanese restaurant, on-site and the staff there covered well for it. We booked an allergen-free room and although all measures taken were appreciated, we missed a proper window with an outside view. Our window overlooked the central atrium and foyer/bar; consequently, we had to have the blind drawn down for the whole of our stay, so that we weren't on view to other guests....and at night, we were sometimes disturbed by the automatic lights reacting to other guests returning to their rooms, along the corridors opposite. Although the bathroom was spacious and provided plenty of shelving for toiletries etc, it does need some refurbishment and more regular attention to the smell from the drains. Nevertheless, we felt we had chosen well; had enjoyed the decorations and atmosphere of Christmas and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to other travellers. Its location, alongside the river, must be even more attractive during the warmer months of the year.

This hotel is an excellent choice if you want to get around to see the sights Berlin has to offer. There is choice of u bahn and many buses within a few minutes walk from the hotel. There aren't many restaurants around but as transport links so good this wasn't a problem. The staff at the hotel are so friendly and helpful especially with the challenges they are facing with Covid 19. We felt very safe, the hotel was very clean and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here during a long weekend in Berlin, bright modern hotel with a lovely bar. The bar when we visited was on restricted hours due to covid, however when it was open it was nice to sit back and chill in the open courtyard. The rooms are of a good size for a standard room, with a very nice waterfall shower. Staff were helpful at all times when needed, they even put balloons etc in the room for my partners birthday on request. Overall good location, over the road from the metro station so made everything more accessible..... Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Grimm hotel near Spittelmarkt for exploring the city for a few days prior to the marathon. X9 from Tegal airport to Zooological gardens bus stop and the u barn to Spittelmarkt fairly simple. Cross the road passed the Titanic hotel and at the hotel easy enough to find. Staff really pleasant and helpful when needed. Apartment clean and practically laidout. Only slight drawback was the apartment sleeps 6 but sofabed isn't the biggest or the most comfy but someone has to take one for the team. As constructive criticism if the hotel was to read this was might be to provide a semi skimmed or skimmed milk option on the breakfast buffet. Pizza shop across the street was nice enough. Grand burgers are definately grand, not for the small eaters.

We chose a 1 bedroom deluxe balcony apartment for two stays separated by a few days in Dresden. Booked well in advance to take advantage of an email 35% discount offer, which made the price comparable or even better than a lot of the centrally located Airbnb’s we had been looking at. And Adina offers hotel advantages such as 24 hr reception for late arrival (which applied to both of our stays) and easy luggage storage while we were in Dresden. There is also a restaurant in house for dinner or breakfast if you like, but we did not try this out. The apartment was very spacious, modern, clean and fully appointed similar to what you might expect from a 4 – 4½star hotel. Location is also convenient with proximity to metro and bus stops, city centre and convenience store nearby.

Breakfast is okay, but it is still more monotonous than the domestic hotel. The location is very good, the entrance is the Potsdamer Platz, there is also a subway station, the Brandenburg Gate, the Parliament Building, the Berlin Shopping Center are very close, and there is a Mobai at the door, very convenient. There are also other companies sharing bicycles with children's seats, but the QR code can't be scanned. I don't know how to use them, but the hotel has a bicycle with a child seat for rent, 30 euros a day, 15 euros a day. To the northwest of the hotel is a large Tiergarten park, which is in a good environment with trees, grass and water.

Stayed here back in December last year, for a long weekend for the christmas markets before all the covid stuff had kicked off. We had hoped to return this year but due to the ongoing pandemic, its probably going to be 2022 now. The hotel is located in the East of the city. We flew in Tegel and found it a long , inconvenient journey but our return flight wasout of SXF which was much more convenient so the hotel will be pretty convenient for the new Berlin airport which opens soon. The lobby was spacious, trendy and contemporary as were the guest rooms. Our room was quiet though 2 of the lads we were travelling with had rooms overlooking a trainline, so request rooms away from trains. Beds were exceptionally comfortable and we slept well . Everything felt very clean. We booked a hotel with spa facilities so had been expecting an indoor pool! disappointed that there was not one in the hotel however they did have a really relaxing spa area that had a hot whirlpool aswell as the usual saunas , so that was a nice way to chill out in the evenings after a long, cold day in Berlin! Please note however, its strictly trunks off. You have to use the area completely naked , which they say is for hygiene reasons. Although this was a little out of my comfort zone it did not detract us from enjoying the facility, I felt more embarrassed about my friends who i was travelling with having to see me naked though since we were sharing rooms we all owned up to sleeping naked anyway which no longer made it a big deal but for some guests particularly ladies it might be out of your comfort zone, so just making you aware, as its a mixed sex facility though was mainly men the two occasions that we used it which made it a little less awkward!. Breakfast was an extensive buffet which is free and had a great selection of hot and cold food that we thought was above average for a hotel buffet. Its very accesible for getting into alexanderplatz on the tram. Berlin is one of our favorate European cities, its cool, quirky and there is so much to see and do at anytime of the year. This is a great hotel and we look forward to another long weekend once all this horrible covid stuff is over. Staying safe and positive for now because we know that one day we will travel again!!!

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights on a city break. The hotel itself was ok, it was clean it was functional without being anything special. It was a little dull is how I would describe it without anything being really wrong. The staff were fine without being friendly. The lobby is poorly planned and the staff are locked away being big columns which are terribly placed. Two criticisms, one was that the lift was out of order and hence left one lift to cater for 4 floors and during Covid times the lift was always busy and long waits were standard. The second was that the bathroom had a glass panel from the room which let light in but overlooked the toilet and I thought it a little inappropriate that someone in the room could easily watch you doing a number 2 the other side of the glass. Not ideal. For these two reasons I gave it a 3 out of 5. Poorly designed. But the location was 10/10. 100m from Checkpoint Charlie and the Topography of Terrors. Lovely pub opposite side of the road.

Our room on the 13th floor was standard category. Spartan in decor, purely functional in layout, the room was clean, the tv worked and it had a minibar plus good view . No tea or coffee making facilities but that might just be a Radisson feature. However, when I needed help in checking in on line for a flight home, the wonderful lady at the Customer Relations desk was just amazing. I never established her name, but think her surname was 'Williti'. She is absolutely a gem and patiently managed to get us check-in with EasyJet, and printed out our boarding cards. Thank you so much. My wife and I were then treated to a trip to the 37th floor to enjoy the magnificent views. It was a very kind gesture and one we won't forget. I hope Radisson Alexanderplatz management appreciate they have a star on their team.

We had a lovely stay. The rooms were stylish and very clean and quiet. The only thing missing was a tea/coffee making facility. We were impressed with the environmentally sensitive touches. We were happy to pass on the room service each day and were rewarded with a drink voucher each day. We used these for a delicious hot chocolate at bedtime on our last night. The breakfast selection was varied and of good quality. So much choice you couldn't fail to find things you wanted and there were plenty of healthy options. Our favourite was the automatic pancake maker. Gluten free options are available. There were plenty of tables and the restauraunt staff are helpful, friendly and efficient. The reception staff were welcoming and helpful. We purchased our travel day ticket each day from the reception (validate it as you get on the tram each day). The hotel is well located to access the transport system and we used the trams, underground, rural train system and buses using our ticket. We would definitely stay again. The only reason we are not awarding 5 stars is the lack of tea/ coffee making facilities. Thank you for making our time so enjoyable.

The Riu Plaza is a 4-star place owned by the Spanish Riu chain, obviously aimed primarily at business and conference people. But it's a good place to stay for holidaymakers too. - Very well located in Schöneberg, 150 metres from Wittenbergplatz (and a little further to Nollendorfplatz in the other direction), so pretty easy access on the U-bahn to almost everywhere, and only 1 stop from Zoo Garden terminal for airport buses. - large, airy rooms, with good views (we were on 16th floor), comfortable bed, excellent and spacious shower and good bathroom in general, fast lifts - a good bar, with friendly bar and wait staff, and not overpriced, just off the reception desk area - generally friendly and efficient front desk staff (but see further on) - not expensive, at least in winter; we paid only just over 100 euros a night, which is good value Its flaws are minimal, but...: - Breakfast is too expensive. Sure, it has all the usual breakfast buffet stuff, but it significantly adds to the cost of the holiday to cough up 19 euros pp each day (we stayed 4 nights). Having just come from an excellent central hotel in Lisbon, where we had an excellent breakfast for 12 euros pp each morning, it seemed excessive, so we settled for a nearby cafe each day. - Make sure you put the 'do not disturb' sign on your door each day if you don't want to get up early. The first day we were there, Monday, having arrived in Berlin at half past midnight, we were woken up at 8.45 am by a cleaner banging on the door. Happened again at the same time a couple of days later when we forgot to put the sign out. Sorry, when you're staying for 4 days, there's no reason to clean the room that early - and I blame the management, not the cleaners, who just do what they're told. - Some of the staff are a little slapdash. E.g., the kettle in our room had been ruined by an idiot previous occupant trying to use it as a coffee perculator, so there was a baked-on layer of coffee on the bottom of it. On our way out the next morning, we took it down to the front desk - the guy there actually asked us to take it back up to our room on the 16th floor, and assured us it would be replaced by the cleaners. When we returned from sightseeing 6 hours later, guess what - the ruined kettle was still there in our room. Fail! I know this is a 1st-world problem, but the original front desk guy should have just taken the kettle and organised to get it replaced. When we took it down again, this time the woman on the front desk took it from us, and a short time later a new kettle was in our room. I don't want to criticise the place too much, as it was pretty good overall and we'd stay there again. But it felt a little impersonal, and while most of the staff were excellent, some were not well-trained or motivated enough to deal properly with issues, relatively minor though our's were. Thus, it gets 4 stars, not 5.
