0.21km from downtownMany Indians on the 7th floor, 7th floor and above are better. I was arranged on the first floor of the 6th floor. The hygiene was very poor. I was awakened in the middle of the night. I asked the next day to clean the aunt. The aunt said it should be the bathroom. The smell from the sewer, I have to live for many days, I can't stand it. I applied for a house change and switched to the 7th floor. It is the room on the other side. The magic is that this floor has a lot of fresh taste and the room has no smell. The health is also very good. The only thing that made me collapse is that every night at 11 o'clock, the KTV will bring the best music to the downstairs. It lasted until 4 o'clock in the morning. I stayed for 6 nights, I didn't sleep well, then I went straight to it. I canceled the order that I had to come back for two nights the next day. This Ctrip did a good job. I had a cancellation period, but after listening to my description, I agreed with the hotel.

Breakfast is baked every day, no shampoo, shower gel, you have to buy it yourself. Equivalent to China's guest house 10 years ago, the price is OK. Outdated facilities, there are cockroaches and ants. Not very recommended

But when checked on several website avaibility was still up for booking. 🙄 not really happy fridge didnt work as in cooling the minerals bottles, aircon on 5° but feel warm, tv channel fox and movie no stable reception. When called to ask if the bar was open to order mocktail the operator cut convo short to no and cut call before we finish talking. As an exhotelier, understand shortage of staffs n etc but service need to improve. Tip to other visitor pls req change of room if u get this room number. Pros my 8yr old girl enjoy the bathtub when we cant get slot for the pool before c/o. Location is good for me to travel to geylang serai to n for to buy breakie since im aware cny mall closure. Location wise was good.
0.4km from downtownHorrible unexpected experience from a "5"star hotel.
1) TV was working fine. After went out and back to the room, the TV suddenly unable to switch on. But this issue was solve after the technician came over and fix it.
2) Bathroom : Brown water flowing out from the tap. We called the counter and they said they will ask someone up and check. After awhile, they called again and said they will change our room to lower floor as this issue was affected on high floor only. So they told us to wait for 10min as they need to check the available room for us to change. There is no updates from them and only after 1 hour of delay, we got to change room. What's worst? Same issues for the second room. And finally fine after the 3rd room which is located at the other tower. All this happens at 12AM MIDNIGHT.
3) The very next morning after all the frustrations, room card shows error. And again, make a trip down to the lobby to finally get it fixed.
Breakfast have to wait almost an hour for the food to be served.
Who will expect such issues from a "5" star hotel?
0.49km from downtownThe standard room is booked, actually a semi-basement. The entrance is tatami and the cleaning is fairly clean. Opposite the tatami is a desk. This should be a disabled room, and the facilities are for disabled people. I don't care. The shower room and the bathroom are not separated. It will be very moist and inconvenient. The bathroom is airtight and there seems to be no ventilation equipment. After a shower in the evening, you can imagine it, just like Shanghai Huangmeitian. When the faucet is opened, the water is easily sprayed on the opposite wall. The wall seems to be a common paint brush, and it is not known whether it is waterproofed. I am all distressed for the wall. The upper part of a wall is glass, not blackout curtains, and there are seams in the two curtains. I want to see it myself. The room didn't take a photo, it really couldn't be shot. I took a corner of the outside courtyard. The villa was changed, and the nice villa was decorated like this. It didn't feel special. The overall attitude of the service staff is not bad. The front desk aunt waiter will greet him. But there is a funny thing. I asked me to live for a few days on the first day, I said one day. The front desk said that if you live for a long time, you can give a better room. Then I didn't speak. Is this training or not training? I don’t know if I don’t know. Real feelings, no filters. I am pulling a grass, thank you.
0.68km from downtownOnly 2 bottled water allowed per room. Request for more bottled water was refused. Water kettle was not working well, kept leaking and unsafe for usage. Had to go to plaza singapura to buy 5L of bottled water from cold storage. Upon request for shavers, they could only provide 1 shaver per room even though 2 pax check in. Extremely unhygienic, luckily we brought alcohol wipes.
Doors are not soundproof and can hear other neighbor’s doors slamming very loudly in the middle of the night. Request for late checkout also turned down even though hotel not fully booked (upon checking, there were many rooms available for booking on trip.com)
TV keeps disconnecting too
At this price point, suggest staying at D’hotel @ tiong bahru instead. Better service and not stingy.

0.78km from downtownI must talk to everyone about this hotel. First of all, this is a hotel, the YWCA Fort Canning Hotel, not the Fort Canning Hotel. I stayed at this hotel for four nights.
First of all, the location and traffic: the hotel is close to Fukang Ning Park (net red tree cave is directly opposite the hotel) and Tomeco subway station (5 minutes walk) This station has two lines, it is convenient to travel, to many attractions Can be direct, or a small transfer, there are bus stations in the northwest direction of the hotel (three to five minutes' walk), you can go directly to the Air Force Mountain Father durian (cheaper and cheaper Cat Mountain King, one was eaten by Chow Yun Fat).
The second said dining. This is a soft underbelly. There is no food around the hotel. I need to go to Dhoby Ghaut subway station recently. After entering the station, there is a lot of food. There are breakfast and lunch. The price is moderate. There is a Korean restaurant. Per capita consumption is about 60 yuan. Free Unlimited drinks and ice cream.
Three said shopping. There are no convenience stores around the hotel. The nearest one should be in the subway station. There is a 711. Inside the restaurant, go hard. The North Street of Meige Station is the Lion City Building. It is a Da Mao. Both, very comprehensive.
Four said hotel conditions. Good health, spacious rooms, service is OK, nothing bad. There is a swimming pool on the third floor. Please note that durian and mangosteen are not allowed in the room. The hotel staff is very good. I have been in Singapore for seven days. Everyone I met was not bad. I did n’t feel any discrimination when I went to Japan and South Korea. I feel that every foreigner is very kind. Maybe it ’s I am lucky.
Finally, to sum up, this hotel is very suitable for travel and living, after all, transportation is the first element.
0.79km from downtownCheck in was a breeze. All the staffs are friendly n professional. Room was very clean n huge. Beds n pillows are comfortable n clean. Bathroom is well maintained thou dated. Couldn’t give full stars for amenities as most have to book for use during this pandemic period n I didn’t use them at all as I have no need to. Location wise, it’s a good 10-15 mins walk to main Orchard shopping area. Ideal place if u r seeking for a quiet place to relax n away from crowds in the more popular hotels along Orchard belts. Not ideal if u have younger kids n old folks especially if it rain n not convenient to walk. Breakfast was ok. It’s no longer open buffet style instead the wait staffs will serve what u choose on a menu sheet as with all hotels now. Overall a great place to stay.

Special mention for Ms Shanna at Front Office & Mr Jonathan Ong at the Salon as well as the Housekeeping Staff. It was a fantastic staycation. My family is so glad that we chose tis hotel for our staycation.

However, observed that masking tapes pasted all over the windows (not sure for what purpose) was not removed, looks unsightly and wonder about how thorough the cleaning of the room was carried out. Went early to check-in and while the room was not ready, we were told by the reception that someone will call us once ready. However, no one called! While we reached back hotel in late afternoon, we ended up joining the long queue to collect room keys. The next day, we had breakfast at the cafe. Since we were early, there were not many people and thought service would be good. However, it was difficult to find staff to take our orders (due to covid-19 situation, only ala carte order). One of the senior staff was busy chit chatting with probably someone she knows and even though she is just beside our table, just ignore us. The experience overall wasn't unpleasant, but it seems the service staff overall wasn't attentive and would seems cold towards the guests. For a 5-star hotel, it is quite disappointing. View out from the hotel looks great though.

Due to travelling restrictions, my husband and I are confined to looking for staycation as our honeymoon after we got married this year. We had a really enjoyable stay in Shangri-la. We requested for earlier check-in at 12PM and was told that it will be subject to availability. When we arrive at the hotel at around 12PM, we were pleasantly surprised to be told that we are given a free upgrade to Valley Wing Deluxe Room and given access to the exclusive lounge with drinks, high tea and canapés available for us.
We had our dinner later on at Waterfall Restaurant which was part of the package that we bought on Trip.com. The 3-course meal that we had was really delicious with great atmosphere as we were seated outdoors at the pool side.
The service provided to us was impeccable. Perhaps the only small downside is the accessibility of the hotel if you don't drive. We pretty much stayed in the hotel during our entire trip so it wasnt really a big factor.
Would love to visit Shangri-la again in future :)
I booked for my fiancé's birthday and in lieu to celebrate New Years. Firstly, early check in was given as to prevent the crowd during the New Years Eve. Very smart move made by the hotel which I am very thankful for! It helps to control the crowd.
Trip.com has emailed me to WhatsApp the hotel as were told by the hotel to request for early check in. Replies by the hotel staffs were fast too!
After checking in, I called to reserve the pool but it was sad I could not go as it was raining! The room was rather small but that's fine by me! The shampoo and body wash given smells nice! I usually do not use hotel's shampoo/bodywash but this hotel's toiletries was quite nice! The view from the toiler was not bad too! You need to of course close the blind to have a private shower. Was given free macaroons delivered by the robots to my room as it was my fiancé's birthday! Super kind gesture made by the hotel staffs! We were super touched!
The next day, when I went down to pick up my breakfast as I choose to take away(can select to dine in or take away), the staff could not find my breakfast order as my breakfast order was misplaced by one of the staffs (the one I gave my order sheet to) But that's okay because I did not mind waiting for them to pack my food again.
I was also granted late check out!
Overall, pleasant stay! The team was all very friendly and approachable. Thank you!
Actually requested for highest floor with amazing view but they didn’t fulfil my request. It’s okay, they also mention to make advance booking for swimming pool and so we did, but pool is fully booked, felt so disappointed. During check in we try our luck again for the pool, lucky there is last 3 slot of us. Around 7pm went swimming, but no one was there. (Wonder why they say it’s fully book) 😕 In the afternoon try to make booking for pool again, again they say fully book. We didn’t bother to go down to check.
Aside from that, we do appreciate the gifts that comes in the package that include late check out at 6pm, inclusive of breakfast and semi lunch buffet for 2 adults. Room was very spacious and clean. Overall we are happy with our stay there. Definitely we come again.
Great service by all staff upon check-in, at the gym & swimming pool, at breakfast, housekeeping & also upon check-out. Very happy we received free upgrade for our room and it had a beautiful view in the bedroom & also in the huge bathroom with bathtub! We even received a brownie for our anniversary celebration.
F&B staff at breakfast were friendly and accommodating but the food quality and variety can be improved for the breakfast set menu since there is no buffet now. Gym & swimming pool was clean and easy to book. Wonderful location of hotel and complimentary parking was a bonus. Thank you for the wonderful stay :)
There was a 3-hour delay in checking-in but we were reasonably compensated in the form of complimentary parking and dining credits. Kudos to the front desk and concierge staff who were efficient and patient, especially with some unreasonable guests (no need to make things difficult for those who are trying to make your stay better). Food quality of in room dining was good and the safety measure was well managed at the pool. Thank you to all that have served us during our stay, you are Awesome!
Just one thing not so pleasant thou, the service attitude of a particular male staff at Ash and Elm was rather bad that’s why we decided not to dine there. Seemed like somethings don’t change (bad experience with Ash and Elm years back), so except for the restaurant, we would love to come back again 😁
Beds were clean and comfortable. Front desk staff service was friendly and professional. After the 1st night, was woken up by drilling and hammering noises at 9 plus in the morning. Breakfast in room dining was ordered at 930am, arrived at 1150am as in doom dining department could not cope w the huge amount of orders. Was informed that our breakfast would arrive at 1130am. So first day, wasn't impressed w renovation noises that disrupted our sleep and a breakfast that was more of brunch. Did request for room change and was given another room. Air conditioning in the new room was not working well n had to request for a fan. Overall, the old building and maintenance of the hotel would place it as a 4 star hotel rather than a 5-star rating.
