|2.46km from city centerThe location is good with close proximity to the highway, food, & a ”Starbucks”. The hotel is clean with the typical amenities. The staff is friendly and the price was reasonable. The room was a good size with a small but well-stocked kitchen. The bed was fairly comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was much better than in most hotels. There is a FREE breakfast. We were assigned room 214 which was next to the elevators. We asked to be moved due to the very loud noise from the elevators when in operation but the hotel was full. If you are a light sleeper, stay away from rooms 212, 213, 214, & 215 and their equivalent rooms on other floors. Overall, nice hotel.

|3.11km from city centerWe stayed here for three days this week. The location is really hard to get to as you have to drive thru a fancy hotel's parking lot to get down to it. It is very dirty looking from the outside. When I entered I asked to see the room prior to checking in and I was told they had taken out the bushes and the shutters to start painting outside. When I inspected the room, it was one of the newer remodeled rooms but you could still tell it was old as there were still holes in the walls where paint had chipped and they just pained over the top of it. The lighting in the parking lot was very minimal so not a place I wanted to be after dark. They were big rooms. The TVs were smaller and the beds were just OK, since it was a newer room the mattresses were quite firm. The shower worked great and we didn't see any bugs while we were there. The breakfast was the worst and we ended up skipping the breakfast as there was no waffle maker and the coffee I had tasted like dirt. There is a Dunkin Donout two blocks down!!! Once when going down to the lobby, the elevator stopped on third floor and the workers doing the remodeling had beer in their hands and a case of beer. The ice machine was broken. They did clean the room pretty well each day but due to the condition of the rest of the hotel and the breakfast I would not recommend it and I won't stay there again.

|8.85km from city centerWe used our AARP membership to get a discount. Very pleased with our stay. Pet friendly is always a big PLUS. Room was clean and comfortable. Bed was fine. Breakfast was grab n go, but a nice selection including breakfast sandwiches that could be microwaved plus Honeybuns, packages of small donuts and muffins, individually wrapped bread for toast, packaged oatmeal, yogurt, juice, coffee. Lots of fast food restaurants within walking distance... however. Be forewarned, that with the pandemic, many of the lobbies are closed and you must do drive through. Will definitely stay again

|4.42km from city centerHusband and I road our motorcycle to this location today to stay for a night on our way to another destination. We were given a room that looked NOTHING like the photos seen on google, trip advisor, etc. The hallways reeked of cigarette smoke and ****- which happens at hotels. But once we entered the room, the smell was worse. Bedding had cigarette burns on it, bathrooms were dirty, looked behind the bed and saw at least an inch of dust and it looked sticky- I’m assuming from the nicotine having been used in the room from many smoking visitors. Everything just looked so dirty. The room we were given had a door leading to the parking lot, which was bent and looked like it had been broken into. We looked inside the air conditioning unit and it was black, again, probably from the cigarette usage. All that being said, the staff was polite and understood our grievance and gave us our refund- no questions asked, no hoops to jump through. She did offer another room but we politely declined. She’s the only reason we are giving a 1 “star”.

|2.2km from city centerThe service is really great here as well as the cleanliness. The room is really spacious, it does not feel cramp like other motels/ hotels I have been to. Another thing I liked about this place is that on the third floor there is a guest laundry room where you go use the machines for a certain amount of quarters and you have to bring your own detergent. Because of COVID-19 they serve breakfast in paper bags which are available in between 6 - 9AM, said breakfast is a banana, bottle of water, and a NutriGrain bar. Overall, the stay here in Springhill Suties was really great everyone was frinedly and efficient, next time I comeback to Lexington I will for definitely book at this place again.

|2.8km from city centerThis is a very nice hotel. We use it a lot when traveling to Ohio. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfy. The bathrooms are a bit tired with tubs instead of the newer step-in showers and the toilets are very low to the ground. The front desk staff are always polite and very helpful. We ask for specifics when staying, and they are always so accommodating.

|8.25km from city centerDon't let their website fool you! Extended Stay America promotes itself as a home away from home, but that was not my experience. My family and I stayed here for seven days during a move while we were waiting for our new home to be ready, and our expectations were that we would reasonably be able to go about business as usual. The accomodations advertised were spacious rooms, a fully-equipped kitchenette with a stove, microwave, coffee maker, and refrigerator, and all the other necessities like plates and silverware. While the rooms (a suite and a studio) were somewhat comfortable, we had to buy our own coffee maker because there was a waiting list to get one. After buying groceries for the week, we found out that our fridge was broken. They replaced it as soon as we told them, but we'd already lost most of our refrigerated groceries. And it wasn't long before we found out that the fridge in the other room was broken too. In addition, we had to ask for the utensils and plates that were advertised as amenities, most of which they did not have, so we had to buy paper plates, utensils, and cups. Everything was scarce. By the Wednesday of our stay, we ran out of toilet paper in our room and found that the hotel was also out of toilet paper. They wouldn't get a truck until the next day. I'm not sure how this jibes with the Americans with Disabilities Act, but there is no elevator except for an unsheltered wheel chair elevator just outside the front door. There's a spiral staircase leading to the third floor that I'm sure the elderly would struggle with. While every staff member I spoke to was nice, they seemed exasperated ever time we asked for something that should have already been available to us in our room. Not one of them wore their masks consistently or correctly, so I can't imagine they're doing much to discourage the spread of Covid-19. I can definitely say that should I ever be in this position again, Extended Stay America will not be on my list of options. $1,180 is far too high a price to pay for such a poor experience when I can book an Airbnb with more amenities for far less.

|14.98km from city centerAbsolutely loved this hotel!!! Not sure why it has such a low star. Very clean. Very professional environment. I had the deluxe king suite and it was very nice. Comfortable bed. Only 2 things was I expected it to have a jacuzzi being the king suite and the shower (no tub) was a joke. It had no water pressure like barley even a dribble. Worst shower I have ever used.

|7.34km from city centerI have stayed he a few times. The rooms are a good size, as well as decent sized bathrooms. They were very clean. They had clean towels and linens. It is an older building, however, you can tell they have put a ton of work into it. The appliances looked new and worked great. There is no smoking in the building. The staff were super sweet and helpful. The owner answered all of my questions and could not have been nicer! I am a Wyndham member, and they also showed me how to book reservations online, and how to use my points. The staff really made me feel safe and welcome. I would definitely stay here every time I come to visit my family.

|1.31km from city centerI needed to go to a court appearance in Lexington, and the Residence Inn at Lexington City Center was an amazing place to stay. I'm always glad to find kitchen facilities in a hotel so I don't need to depend on restaurants, and I was happy to find a Target supermarket in easy walking distance. The room was quiet, so I got a good night's sleep, even when I needed to get up at 3 am to catch my return flight. And the hotel was just a block from the courthouse.

|7.16km from city centerNothing special here. Just about as expected. Staff seemed a bit overworked/short but that's everywhere now. Hallway felt a little damp and dimly lit. Continental breakfast was top notch for a $100 hotel room. We chose this hotel primarily as we knew we would get in pretty late but wanted a hotel that had a pool open past 9PM. This hotel has an 11PM pool. It was nothing special but again, it was decent and the kids enjoyed it. A/C worked very well and beds were sufficient. We were rather pleased with our room. The bathroom tub was about 1/2 newly caulked and half that wasn't which made it looks super cheap and super trendy. TV was ok although its very old school without an electronic guide so you had to actually flip channels to find what you wanted (the horror, right?). Overall, a pleasant stay although nothing it's immediately say stopped us in our tracks.

|5.23km from city centerHumiliating , horrible and disgusting experience I requested a 4pm check out for being Marriott bonvoy titanium and it was approved, I requested to sleep until 4pm. And nobody could disturb knocking my door. At 11.30 the first knocking ” housekeeping”, the second one around 1pm ” housekeeping” again and I said to this girl that I requested a 4pm check out. I was sleeping until 4.30pm receptionist called me asking if I want to extend, I said yes because I didn't sleep well due to constant disturbing when I requested do not disturb... she said that unfortunately they are sold out. I requested 10 minutes to jump Out of the bed and get my luggage ready. At 4.45pm somebody knocked my door really hard like trying to break the door. I opened and he said that he is the manager and they will charge me half a day extra, I said ” please let me explain, I'm a titanium member so I have 4pm check out compulsory” he said ” check out is at 12, we can do an exception at 2pm” no, titanium is COMPULSORY 4pm check out and he shout saying ” I manage this hotel, not you and u are not gonna tell me how to do it”... I asked him at least 5 times to let me explain why I was in the room at 4.45pm. He was Interrumpting me so I couldn't even speak... he said ”we don't need people like you here” I said ” I will complaint with Marriott” he said ” I don't care at all, complaint all u want but u are not coming back here”. Then one housekeeper told me he is the manager because the real manager is on vacations and his name is Suresh ( to recognize him, he sounds like indian) I said ” let me explain”. And gain interrupting me he did ” u shut up or I will charge u the whole day”. He was threading me, not even my mother treated me like this in my entire life. I called Marriott bonvoy customer service and the representative was speechless, she said that this is unacceptable and this denigrating behavior will be taken seriously. They refunded the night and they gave me 30.000 points. Shame on Schulte company ( it s not Marriott company, it s franchised) and I hope u guys reading this review don't stay in this disgusting place.

|8.02km from city centerRooms are very well designed studios with well-equipped kitchens, work/desk areas, and very comfortable sofa/chaises, We greatly appreciated easy access to hdmi ports at the rear of the tv so we could easily stream from our phones. Fabrics and colors are restful, up to date selections selections. Everything about the room was well-designed. We stayed twice while en route on a trip. Staff is fantastic - welcoming, helpful, great restaurant takeout recommendation. Cleaning staff is meticulous-our room was impeccable on both stays. Breakfast room was large enough for comfortable distancing and selections were good. Small gestures matter: the hotel manager even opened doors for us to roll a luggage cart in. Sidney and Alexis definitely understand hospitality. Last and certainly not least, this hotel takes Covid precautions seriously. With two stressed out medical professionals in our family, the attention to mask wearing and safety was greatly appreciated. This hotel was an exceptional home away from home. We’ll definitely stay here again!

|2.61km from city centerI stayed here with my family as we brought my grandmother down for her surgery to remove her breast cancer. Check-in was awesome! The front desk staff was super friendly and checked us in quickly. The rooms were ready and clean when we arrived. There's tons of storage in these rooms and they feel pretty large. The bathroom is huge is well. A little more attention to dusting would be nice, but it definitely wasn't a big deal. Another issue was the phone did not work. I could call my uncle in the next room and could hear him (barely) but he could not hear me. Again, not a huge deal because we had room right next to each other. The biggest issue is this hotel was LOUD. The walls and floors are paper thin which meant I could hear every conversation and movement next to, above, or below me. Not to mention people in the hallway. I know it's not something the staff could fix, but it's just something to be aware of. Overall our stay was comfortable, but the noise was a real downer. If you're looking for something near UK hospital or the university itself though, this is your place.

|9.29km from city centerFour nights in a newly renovated room left us deciding to look elsewhere the next time we are in Lexington. We have stayed at this hotel many times in the past; this time we got a remodeled room, and it was pretty grim. Hits: + It is nice to not have carpeting in the ”kitchen/sitting area” of our suite. + Very friendly staff + Good lighting in the bathroom. + Nice to have a walk-in shower Misses: - The upper cabinets in the kitchenette are so low and deep that it is hard to use the sink. (We didn't try cooking, but the stove would have the same issue.) - No drawer storage in the kitchenette. - The light under the microwave didn't work (apparently, no bulb was installed). - Except for the light over the table, the sitting area has NO lighting leaving the space very dark. - No towel bar for a hand towel at the sink (we ended up hanging the towel over a hanger in the closet). - No towel bars or hooks in the bathroom (again, we had to hang our towels in the closet). - Many items are poorly installed (TVs and pictures off center, faucet set back from the sink so far that it is awkward to wash your hands (both kitchen and bath). - If you don't like a lot of gray, you might find it gloomy overall. - The breakfast is not good. No fault of the staff, who seem to be doing the best they can with the products they have to work with, but Homewood seems to be racing to the bottom on food quality.

|6.87km from city centerI booked through Priceline and I won't do that again! When the dust settled we received the rate advertised. That was good. I did not like having a $50.00 a day hold placed on my bank account. No. My bank account was played with several times. And that hold assumes that the customer is going to cheat the establishment. That is not a good attitude. What kind of customers are you seeking? The room was very clean. And it was most comfortable. That was important to us since we were in Lexington for health care. Our request for a first floor room was filled. All amenities were provided. The room phone did not work. Maintenance came twice to no avail .The bathroom was very nice. The tub/shower had lots of grab bars. There was a very nice fold-down tub seat. The shower/ massage head did not move from the wall as it should have. Breakfast was minimal. Cereal, Danish, coffee. Chairs were up on the tables the second morning. A man took chairs down for us. The manager said ”Covid 19 restrictions”. There were two waffle irons but there were no waffles. We probably would not stay here again mainly because of the $50.00 a day hold on our bank account. The staff was courteous and polite. There was no road noise.

|14.89km from city centerForgot to add to my previous review: bathroom plumbing needs a bit of repair; toilet tank kept refilling and this is a simple repair that many homeowners like me do at home. When hotels/motels do NOT do this simple repair, not only do they waste money and water but it tarnishes the much trumpeted commitement to the environment by placards that suggest guests hang their towels (rather than place on floor) to signal they do not need towel replacement. Some of us as guests suspect these placards are simply a way for hotels/motels to save money, rather than a true commitment. Not fixing a toilet tank/water waster gives further support to our suspicions.

|4.3km from city centerA lovely hotel. Very clean, very spacious, and very “new” feeling. HOWEVER, the real reason to come here, is to meet ANTONIO who was cooking the made-to-order omelettes for breakfast the day I stayed. Rarely have I met a young man more professional, kind, spirited, uplifting, friendly, and helpful. And his omelette was amazing. But the omelette isn’t what’s really amazing about him, it’s the person he is. If everyone who worked in hospitality was as wonderful as Antonio, traveling would be a joy! He should train everyone in the hospitality industry!
