I really liked this hotel. It's really spacious, clean, and quiet. The room was really clean and comfortable. It was nice having a bedroom separated from the living room, and our little girl slept on the pull out bed. The only thing for now is that they're doing some renovations on the front so you have to go around back, but it's really not a problem, just a heads up for the readers. They have a fire pit that's lit at night, it was nice to sit around, and we could get there through the courtyard, out the sliding door of our room. That was way nice. The lady at the front desk the night of our stay was having a rough night, but still offered to get us ice from the kitchen if we needed. She also switched us to a room with a bath tub for our little girl. She is awesome, wish I could have gotten her name, she had brown hair and glasses. Another perk is walking distance to Cracker Barrel for breakfast, they serve breakfast at the hotel but it is not free. Great Hotel all around, wonderful staff, we will definitely stay here again.

My family of 4 had the pleasure of staying at the TownPlace Suites Salt Lake City Layton from June 19th to 24th. I would like say that we had a disappointing stay, but I would be completely dishonest. For being Bonvoy Gold Elite members, we have stayed in many hotel properties and the Townplace Suites Salt Lake City stand out. Check-in was extremely convenient. Caleb (front desk) had recognized that we are Gold Elite Members complimented us for our loyalty. Caleb very super friendly provided us with a map of the area and answered all my questions. The rooms are clean, very quiet, and spacious. We loved that the property comes with a full kitchen and we appreciated the extra space. The pool was a major attraction for both of our young kids. We needed to make a reservation to use the pool due to Covid19 and we spent an hour each day during our say. The staff Caleb, Patricia and Kathy sanitized the pool areas before each use. Kathy the guest service supervisor made sure that our stay would be a memorable experience and she delivered. She definitely went well above and beyond during on our stay. I would recommend TownPlace Suites Salt Lake City Layton and we plan to return in a heartbeat. 5/5 stars!

We stayed 4 nights at the Layton HIX and it was real nice. This site is not new but well taken care of. The room was clean and well maintained. The indoor pool is nice and inviting. The lobby area was well decorated for the 4th and was very patriotic. We loved that. We really appreciate the help from Tia at the front desk. She was very nice and extremely helpful. She is one of the reasons we will be back. Overall we were very pleased with our stay and rested well. The breakfast is grab and go. They offered breakfast burritos, sausage biscuit, cereal, milk, bagels and breakfast condiments. We took ours back to the room and heated in the room microwave. I recommend this site if you are in the area and it is very close Antelope Island State Park where you can visit the Great Salt Lake. It’s approximately 20 miles from Salt Lake City Airport.

The rooms are large, the prices are very cheap, and the price is very high. It is highly recommended when traveling around Salt Lake City. It is only 30 minutes from the airport. If you go late, there will be no big bed room, so it is recommended to go early. Parking is very convenient, and there are many drinks around. We stayed in Yellowstone after one night and it was great as the first supply station.

We checked in late and the security was great as we had to be buzzed in. It was during the virus so we were given a discount because we could not have breakfast. The staff were friendly. I found my stay to be very comfortable. The beds were soft and the towels fluffy- I was expecting scratchy. I would stay here again. If things were outdated, I didn't notice!.I have never stayed at a La Quinta, I would come back to this location and will not hesitate to stay at a different location.

Have used this facility previous years and found it very good. Staff always attentive. However, this year, my wife and I stayed for a week before moving to the Steamboat Grand, because of arrangements with incoming friends. Chalk and cheese; with the Sheraton far more responsive. Whilst we could have stayed at the Grand before eventually being able to fly out, we elected to move back to the Sheraton. Smart move! Yes, rooms smaller at the Sheraton but the staff are the big difference. Every one of them. Special mention to Mar, Gabby, Jason and their colleagues (sorry; forgot some names) on front desk, David and Kenton, Mark at Bell, and Sophie, Franklin, Peter, Daphne and Scott in the bar. Superb effort in tough times.

This property is not really up to the usual Hampton Inn standards. The rooms are really small and housekeeping has some issues. Upon entering the bathroom, we found 10-12 long black human hairs on the floor and on the sidewall of the bathtub, and on the toilet. The room furnishings are very dated and worn. It is in a ski resort and some skiers can be hard on properties. Check-in was pleasant and quick. Breakfast was a bit disappointing (even in COVID19 times) compared to other Hampton Inns in the western states. The construction between floors allows a lot of noise from the rooms above (thumping of footsteps of upper residents until late in the evening). I should have taken the prior travellers' negative reviews more seriously on this place. I will NOT stay here again.

Our family of five stayed at the Grand for a week in February in a one bedroom, two bath unit. The unit was actually two units with adjoining doors. If we go back we will opt for the one bedroom with one bathroom as it comes with a better kitchen and built in dining area. Our unit could have accommodated more than our family as it had two day beds, two queen beds and a pull out sofa. The gas fireplace was really nice to have in the unit. The kitchen was on the small side but serviceable and decently stocked. Not much space to story groceries. Day beds were comfortable as was the queen beds. We got a unit on the end closer to gondola square which made for easy access to the mountain. There is a liquor store and ski shops in the building which was nice but we used Wild Plum down the street for select groceries. The grand has a shuttle service which was tremendous. It runs every 30 mins on the quarter hour and will drop you anywhere in town with a return pickup. This was key since we did not rent a vehicle as we flew into Hayden. The ski valet over by gondola square made life easy getting on and off the slopes. The mountain is huge with tons of terrain. We were easily challenged by everything. Every local we met said "Thanks for visiting Steamboat." I can't honestly remember a time when I experienced such gratitude by the locals. It was really nice and made you feel like you found a special place to spend your days ripping it up. The on mountain services were great. Thunderhead is big and doesn't feel cramped with great food selections. Rendevous is smaller but with good food choices as well. Four Points gets busy and feels about the same size as Rendevous. The pool and hot tub were great after a day of skiing. When booking, go through central reservations for all your needs. They can bundle it together and make the package worth your while. All in all - we had a great time at this property and will return.

We stayed here on our ski tour through the Western US in February. Have never been to Steamboat before and I chose this hotel on its rating in Tripadvisor, the price, and the fact that the free bus to the gondola transit center was supposed to stop outside. The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly, and the rooms are very comfortable (including the bed). Also of importance in the winter - the hotel is warm. The first night we were there the temps dropped to -18F (about -27C). We did use the ski storage room (free) which is a convenient option for indoor ski storage at night. Also of note is that the hotel has a bar and restaurant attached. The night we attended the bar it was quite the happening place and tables were in short supply. There's also the convenience of not having to walk out into -18F on your way to breakfast! The hotel offers a shuttle service in the morning and late afternoon, up to the gondola transit center (basically the bottom of the ski slopes) which is quite convenient. It runs every 15 minutes and is on a first come first served basis (the shuttle never filled up during our stay). The free city bus is another matter altogether. The official stop is on the main road (state route 40) half way between the Holiday Inn and La Quinta. The stop is purely a pole in the ground (barely visible above the mounds of snow left by the plows) - there is no shelter at the stop. While we were there there was no clearing for the bus stop - you basically had to stand on the side of US 40 with cars whizzing by. Further, they must have been salting the roads as the snow was slush during the day, so there was also the slush being sprayed by passing cars. Not what I would call a user friendly situation. The hotel should petition the local bus company to improve this. We have already been talking about another visit next year (now that we know there are direct flights from San Diego). We liked the Holiday Inn and will stay there again on out next visit (assuming they keep offering their own shuttle service).

I booked this hotel for a 2 double bed suite, 2 weeks in advance. 3 guest total, for my husband, my 17 year old daughter and myself. The day of check-in, I knew I would arrive late, so I called the hotel direct number at 3 o’clock, confirmed I was coming, indicated the time I was arriving - around 10-10:30pm and was told everything was fine and my room was confirmed. I was traveling from Branson, Mo. It was about 16 hours driving. We were tired and ready to get in the hotel and get straight in bed. When I arrived, I was informed initially that they had a “computer” problem and the only room available was a king size bed, but there was a couch with a pull-out bed that my child could sleep in. I said that was not acceptable. They said there was no other room. I asked about the mattress in this couch bed and was told it was a full size mattress and it should be just like a regular bed. A couple checking in at same time that had 2 double bed reservation said they would exchange rooms, but they also were given a kong bed. I get to the room, get the bed out of the couch and it is the cheapest 6 inches mattress one can possible imagine. We could feel all the steel support crossing under the mattress. My daughter has back problems from rolling down a ski mountain last year and sleeping with protruding tubes under the mattress is not an option. I go back to front desk and tell them it is not acceptable. I told them my reservation was for 2 double beds and they messed up and they had to fix it by putting my child in a different room with a regular mattress. Then they inform me the problem is not that they had a computer problem, but the fact they overbooked and gave my room to a different person on a first come first serve basis. I CALLED AT 3:00PM!!!!!! I was the first come person first serve person. But here is the deal - I am from Brazil. I speak with a heavy accent. When I called at 3, they realized I am latino or a foreigner, which I was, but not anymore, and decided to downgrade me for talking with an accent and give me a room with a 6” cheap mattress that we can feel all steel support. This is pure latino discrimination. When choosing who will get the bad room - give to the latino person. Second class people. WRONG!!!! Then, to make it up for the issue, I was offered a closet roll on bed that would have a normal mattress. I agreed to go see the mattress first before agreeing to take it. We go to the storage room on the end of the second floor. There is a bed there that someone uses, dirty as it could be, but just to see the mattress, it was OK. It was a thicker mattress and at least better than the cheap couch offered. So we go on a hunt for the mattress in a closet somewhere in the second floor. Not there. Maybe on the third floor. Nope. Forth floor, not there. Back to second floor, ok. We found the roll up bed. It looks clean and usable. I accept the bed for day one. Hopefully for my second day I move to the regular room I reserve

We stayed here one night and thought it was nice, clean, and modern. Our only issue was the uncomfortable bed. It was one of the worst we slept in on our entire 2 week trip - we stayed in about 10 hotels over the 2 weeks. It was a king size bed with nice bedding, but it had absolutely no support. Otherwise, we liked everything else about the place.

Lodging in this resort town is pricey year-round. We were trying to save a few bucks, so we chose this property. $175 bought us a thoroughly average, but clean room well beyond walking distance to downtown, with absurdly soft beds. The pros: The room was clean and the bedding was of good quality. The available cable channels were a pretty comprehensive collection. There was hot water when we wanted it. The fridge was quieter than most. The AC was very effective. The cons: There was a somewhat funky smell to the (non-smoking) room. Did I mention the beds were terrible? And the included breakfast offered no eggs or meats. It might prove difficult to do better in this town, at this price point. For our next visit, if finances permit, we will try to find out.

Our family stayed here Dec 26-31, 2019 to ski. The room itself was ok, although still the old fashioned fold out couch instead of the nicer trundle beds some have. It included the expected crappy Fairfield Inn breakfast which is certainly better than no breakfast (although my wife won't touch it).The problems were: 1) the elevator only worked a little of the time, which is annoying when you are carrying family ski equipment in and out daily. 2) The under window fans were the loudest I have ever encountered. The only way we could sleep was to warm up the room then shut the heat off for the night. Does get a bit chilly at 0F outside but was ok. 3) Dogs everywhere at check in. The first night it didn't seem too bad, but the second night we were awoken twice at 1:30 AM and then again just as I was about to get back to sleep at 2:15 by barking. And in the morning there was a lovely poop coated towel thrown in the hallway next to our room. When I complained in the morning I was told those people were moving out and the motel would do something about our inconvenience. When we checked out we were told we would be given that night at one half the rate so I said OK and took the bill. But when I sat down and checked the numbers they had only taken 25% off one night. At first they denied it but finally was able to get the full 50% off that night. The dog problem I admit some fault for, any place that advertises itself as pet friendly should be avoided at all costs. I should have read the description. Why they can't at least put the pet owners on one end and non-pet people on the other is beyond me. I love my dog but he stays home when we travel to avoid annoying others. The bus service was also slower than I expected for access to the skiing. The motel is less than a mile away but things just seem to take forever. Or course its far cheaper than places with better access. Note I pretty much only find the energy to post reviews when the experience is really bad.

So, we checked in on sat. After 4. We asked for a king room and when we got there , we were informed that we had queen beds, not an issue, but it was two queen Rooms, seperate bathrooms, and not together. We were on our anniversary, let the guy know who answered the phone after booking online. He said no problem. Obviously it was a problem because we did not get a king room. I work at a hotel, I know the rules and complaints . I would never recommend this hotel based on the fact, we did not get what we asked for, the hallway was incredibly loud from 11:00 pm until well after 4 am. I went to the front desk and asked them to quiet the ppl in the hallways if possible. Nothing was done until my last straw broke and I screamed at the hallway lurkers yo go to bed. Why did the night auditor not do this? It’s there job. Then we stripped the bedroom for the house keepers and left a 20 dollar tip. Checked out at ten am. Then we get a phone call saying we smoked In the room? Excuse me, I’m not stupid. We never smoked in that room, in fact we were in room 5, & 7. With door #7 not locking. That’s awesome When we walked by room 1-3 nothing but the smell of marijuana which I’m allergic to, and they blamed us... well we had to have the window open when we checked in because of the smell of smoke and disgusting smells of not washing the comforter often. I went and bought my own blanket. Gross. However being a hotel employee I didn’t complain. That’s life. But the smoke smells coming in the windows was most likely do to the fact that there are a few dumpster divers in the parking lot. And they bang the lids all night. You can hear everything with the windows open, but considering the smell we slept at the temp of 64. Then after checking out we get a call that they are charging us for smoking in the room? I’m pretty pissed because I would never dream of smoking in a hotel room. It’s rude to other guests and just wrong. So my opinion of this hotel would be a negative -5. No coffee ready in the morning, had to ask for cream, which the man at the desk did refill with plenty of slamming cabinet doors and giving me hell for asking , like I was being an ass. I was so nice. Only stay here if you want charged extra, no sleep, dirty comforters, and noise all night long, dumpster divers and rude night auditors. Absolutely hands down the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in considering the price. It’s a negative 5. Good luck staying here and resting! Julie Mcklem. Room 5-7 on Saturday the 16th of June. I hate this hotel.

I can’t speak for the other rooms, but ours was apparently recently refurbished, clean and quiet. The room with double queens was a bit pricey for what I would normally pay for this quality of a room (about $130/nite for two) but to be expected in Steamboat. Amenities included a small coffee maker, refrigerator, television, and telephone. On the nightstand was a clock with built-in USB plug-ins for smartphones, etc. Their included continental breakfast (open at 5:30 am) was average in a comfortable room off the office. It’s located in the downtown Steamboat area with restaurants and shops within walking distance. Office staff were courteous and helpful.

We have stayed at the Inn for a few years. The staff are friendly and helpful. They even tried to find alternatives when weather forced a change in our plans. They run a shuttle all day long back forth to the Ski Resort. They will also drive you around town. This is extremely helpful since we felt safe letting the kids take the shuttle back on their own. (Older kids) The breakfast is excellent for a free breakfast. They have all the basics such as some type of egg burrito, waffle maker, toast, and oatmeal station. The coffee starts early. The kids love the cookies set out in the afternoon/evening. The outdoor hot tub and swimming pool stay warm enough. The space across the street can be used for sledding. The rooms are simple, but we aren’t in the rooms for long. The photo is from a previous year sledding/fort building across the street.

My twin 15 year old daughters just stayed at this location for 4 days and 3 nights and I would rate our stay 9 out of 10. Some of the positives were the pool, hot tub, sauna, the ski/snowboard lockers on the 1st floor, free shuttle, impressive game room, impressive fitness room and the giant fireplace surrounded by couches in the main lobby. we had the loft room and the loft being 2 separate bedrooms and having a 2nd full bath up there worked out great for us and our room had a great view of the mountain. The room was very clean upon arrival. Yes, as some others have said, some areas of the place are a bit dated but for the location and value. We would stay here 100 times over. Other others mentioned issues with the shuttle but we had ZERO issues. Now the negatives. We had no clue about the game room, ski/snowboard lockers or the fitness center. I didn’t see it on their website and we certainly weren’t told about it from the front desk staff. We found them via exploration and word of mouth. The hallway on the 5th floor did stink a bit. The room had a funny smell when we first walked in but that went away as soon as we got some air moving. The kitchen utensils were VERY basic but we had no issues making it work. Others mentioned no coffee filters but our room was supplied with the pre packaged coffee already in the filter bag (brew 10 cups not 12 for better taste lol) other issues were a loose towel hook on the back of the bathroom door. The loose chair legs on one of the chairs (which I fixed). The 5th floor lobby was SUPER cold and I realized it was because the windows weren’t shut all the way so I did that. I walked by the 5th floor ice maker and it was leaking all over the floor. I notified the front desk and someone was working on it in no time. All minor stuff if you ask me. So as mentioned in the title. Much more good than bad. I hope this review is helpful. We’ll be back!

The nordic lodge was clean, comfortable, and affordable. Most importantly, the location was perfect. It's located right on the main street in old town, toward the end, within easy walking distance of so many bars, restaurants, and stores. In fact, our favorite restaurant we visited was about 20 feet away! It's also right across the street is a bus stop for the Steamboat resort shuttle, which comes every 10 mins. It was our first time in Steamboat and we wanted a reasonably priced ski-in, ski-out hotel with good service. Mission accomplished! The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly-Adam was a superstar and went above and beyond to meet our needs and requests-and it was a fantastic overall stay for us! Rooms were clean and had a fridge, which was great! Would've been nice to have a coffee maker or a way to warm up water for tea/hot chocolate, but we managed just fine. The location is awesome, has all the basic amenities we needed and there is a free ski check near the front desk, which is nice too! The hot tub was wonderful and clean, as was the pool. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for making our Valentine's ski getaway so enjoyable! Cheers!

We arrived in steamboat springs to this hotel only to find out they have NO elevator at all. My grandmother who is traveling with us recently had a broke hip and cannot climb stairs . First I asked the staff member if he could move us to the first floor because there was no way she could climb. He did look but had no rooms that would fit our family. I then asked if he could just issue a refund and we would have to find somewhere else because of her. He told me I would have to call Expedia to get my refund since booking through them. I called and Expedia was extremely helpful but they had to call the hotel and speak with him also to see if he would waive the penalty fee since it was the day of. Let me explain first...I am NOT in the habit of cancelling hotels. I tried to work any way possible with this hotel and he was NOT being accommodating at all...and even less concerned about my grandmother not being able to climb stairs. She then got back on the phone with me and explained how rude the worker was with her also. She tried to reason with him as well and he just wouldn’t help at all. The hotel still charged me the entire fee for our stay...I had to find another hotel so after being out almost $200 for this room that we couldn’t even use I had to pay almost the same amount for another hotel. I even went back to the hotel after speaking with Expedia tried to reason with the worker and he absolutely had no heart it seemed. Number one how in the world does a hotel not have an elevator. Elderly and small children that cannot climb stairs it just doesn’t even seem right. I’ve never in my life seen someone act like this. I am in customer service as well (I’m a realtor) and you just do not treat people like this.

I read some bad reviews from people who were there recently. I booked this week a few month before so I was a little worried that something had happened to the property in the meantime. But I was pleasantly surprised. Everything was just like RCI had described it. The pictures were very accurate. The staff was very friendly. The property is located about half way between Old Steamboat Springs and the ski slopes. They had a shuttle that ran every morning and afternoon to the slopes. It was super convenient not have to drive there and deal with parking. We never had to wait more than 15 minutes. At night if you wanted to go into town the shuttle was available. All you had to do was call and they came and picked you up or dropped you off. We had a 2 bedroom unit on the 1st floor. It was very spacious, The beds were comfortable. They provided toiletries. The only thing I would complain about was the kitchen supplies. There were very little utensils, no big bowls or plates. It only had the absolute necessary, so if you are planning on doing a lot of cooking you might miss a few things. We were able to make due of what we had, but we had to improvise a little. Overall I am very happy with our stay and would definitely come back.

I have never stayed in a cleaner room! We booked a king suite which included a full kitchen, double head shower and living area. The pool and workout rooms looked great although we did not use them. They were very COVID safe. The help was quite accommodating as well. The area is beautiful and we loved the historic downtown area for walking and shopping. The mountains surrounded the city are gorgeous.

The breakfast was great. Those who went skiing were very close to the ski area, and then the breakfast was great, and the ski school nearby was great. Hahahahahahahahahaha

We have been travelling to this property for 5 years now both in summer and winter. Its hard to say which we prefer. Deer Valley / Park City is an outdoor lovers dream. The skiing, well, it doesn't get better than Deer Valley and in particular the St. Regis. Its all seamless, from the on-site equipment rental, to the ski valet service (which includes helping you in and out of your boots!) We continue to come back to this property for the simple reason that the level of personal attention to our needs is unmatched and the hotel is close to perfection. Everything is geared to meeting your every need. The Butler service, the Concierge (who for those of you in the know is a 'Clef D'Or Concierge). We are planning on returning again next year and will continue to do so after that. This is one of our favorite trips each year.

A hotel I like very much, I can cook by myself. I like this minor key very much, especially the girl with a Chinese girl named alena at the front desk. She is very enthusiastic and has a good attitude. Caring lady
