Rusutsu
|2.68km from city centerGood but not deluxe ski/out resort geared to families rather than couples. All rooms are duplexes I believe. They are not soundproof; on certain days, we had disruptive noise from the children from the higher floor till very late at night. We then decided to sleep in the less comfortable beds on the lower floor. Great views over mountains and volcanoes. Great daily seafood buffet, exceptionally well priced given the quality and quantity of offerings. Breakfast is very good as well, but tends to be very crowded, as most people wish to have breakfast at around 830/9am . The buffet closes at 10am in the main restaurant and 930am in the smaller restaurant. The on-site ski rental shop is messy and unsuitable for advanced skiers, as only basic skis are on offer, and they seem to lack longer skis required by tall skiers. If you are in this category, I recommend renting directly from the Salomon expert ski rental shop on the other side of the resort. The shop also erroneously billed me for 2 items, which were corrected upon check out after review by the staff, and the hotel apologized. The spa/onsen is dated and could be made a lot better, given the overall price range of this hotel. There is no pool. Marriott Platinum benefits are recognized and were very much appreciated.

Rusutsu
|4.01km from city centerWe stayed for a week at villa Rusutsu over the Christmas period. The cabins are located about 1.5km from the two main ski fields in Rusutsu, with free transfers provided in the morning, late afternoon and night. The villas themselves are charming cedar cabins, quite spacious, and with plenty of heating. Beds are comfortable, water temperature and pressure is great, and there is plenty of light. The only thing to be aware of is that the cabins are ”duplex-style”, ie, there is a common wall separating you from your neighbours. Sound travels *very* easily through the walls, so be aware of your noise at night, pack some ear plugs, and hopefully you are paired with similar travelers (e.g. families next to families, young people next to young people etc). In addition to the cabins, there is a main lodge and a sento (public bath). The bath is large, hot and lovely. Everything was always spotless, which is no mean feat with a small staff and snow everywhere! Breakfast is included in accommodation costs and is a small but delicious continental buffet and a hot choice of western or Japanese style food. You can also pre order dinners from the restaurants, which are Japanese style hot pots. These are large, and very delicious. Food on the whole was fantastic, and the bar is also reasonably priced. The highlight of Villa Rusutsu is the staff. Monique, Alex, Sherry, Ryoji-san and others are so friendly and helpful. Nothing was ever a problem for the staff, they were responsive and friendly, happy to provide tips and make restaurant bookings. It's really nice to feel you can rely staff to help you, and they really helped make the trip.

Rusutsu
|2.95km from city centerNice stylish condo-styled hotel with full in room facilities (cooking, washing machines, dryer etc) which is really gd for long stay.
Suites are big & spacious, awesomely clean & superd decor.
Onsen is decent & gd for a quick dip but a little small if compared to noborebetsu ones.
Ski area is outstanding with ample storage for ski gear. Truly ski in/ski out resort if u can ski wel as you can hit the slopes once you're all geared up. For beginner, u hv to carry your ski gear & walk down the slopes or walk indoor cutting thru the connected walkway to the main rusutsu hotel.
Conclusion, will love to stay here again & for longer duration...😀

Rusutsu
|2.78km from city centerThis time, I signed to South Wing on the tour I asked for at JAL. However, it was very inconvenient that the front desk on the South Wing side was not vacant and all procedures had to be done at the front desk of the North Wing. The bus departs and arrives on the north side, so it's better than the other side ... Some girls start meetings in the corridor at night because they are involved in a floor where high school students travel together. It's such a time when I have something to do at the front desk, but I told you on the phone because I can't help it. The large communal bath on the south side is an old facility without an open-air bath, so every time you go to the bath, you will have to walk a decent number of steps. It will be an exercise. Similarly, most of the restaurants are on the north side (hereinafter omitted, this time I used the massage in the hall as a couple, but my arms were quite well healed.

|3.3km from city centerThe accommodation was borrowed by one building, the appearance and the room were all great. The view from the room was the best, and there were many rooms, and it was too luxurious with unit bus in each room!
It was also appreciated to be able to stay with pets. (It costs separately. 1 2,000 yen at this time)
I didn't enter the ground digital, but I enjoyed it without any problems because Netflix and YouTube were seen on TV!
I was able to stay with peace of mind because I heard it immediately on line if I had any trouble.
It is an inn that I want to go again!
