A one-day hot spring facility and a hotel were attached. There is a motorcycle parking lot with a roof on the back side of the front, so even a motorcycle can rain to some extent. However, it is not a facility that can completely avoid rain. The hot spring is a sodium-chloride spring. I think it is circulating and chlorine disinfection. I was a little surprised that the indoor bath was covered with tatami mats. For dinner, the first night is full of matsutake mushrooms. The second night is mainly cherry shabu-shabu. Overall, it was good, but the restaurant doubles as a restaurant for day trip users, so it's a little 々 uncomfortable. There should have been other guests, but I was the only one eating at the inn. Quantitatively, I thought it was just a good amount to be full. Breakfast was a simple Japanese set meal.

The hotel is near Hashimoto Station, a five-minute walk, which is very convenient. The owner and his wife are very welcoming. The rooms and public areas are very clean. There are public facilities for supplying hot water, coffee and tea. If you go to Koyasan, living in Hashimoto is the most economical and convenient. This hotel is Hashimoto’s closest to JR station and the only one next to JR station. There are train and bus tickets for Hashimoto to Koyasan, which is several hundred yen cheaper than the one-day ticket for taking the train alone and buying Koyasan.

We have 2 guest houses of Kura and Hanare, available for private use. Nestled in Shinmachidori quarter, this accommodation offers some space you are about to forget. Come and enjoy the superb private space in the townscape reminiscent of Edo period to your heart's content. Facing Yoshino river, Hanare house features 2nd floor where you can command a sweeping view of mountain range that leads to Kumano and mysterious spectacle of foggy mountains in the morning right before your eyes. Complete with over 3m high ceiling in the living room in spite of its cozy building size, which produces open space, Kura house offers modern comfort beyond the typical image of a warehouse which means Kura in Japanese language. You would love to kick back and relax on the roomy couch. Once you have the house key we hand to at the time of check-in, you can spend leisurely carefree time just as a temporary resident without worrying about gate closing-time. We offer stay only without meals, while we refer to Japanese restaurant Genbei which is situated in front of us.

Route Inn Hashimoto offers reliable business hotel amenities, including laundromat, onsen and a good restaurant directly adjacent. Coffee and business centre in lobby; ECO plan offers a free beer! Much less expensive and far less tourist-mobbed than the options on the famed Koyosan, which can be quickly reached on the scenic Nankai Railway. 3km to historic Kudoyama old town, also on the Nankai Railway. Typically friendly and efficient, but about 2km from Hashimoto station. Bus service from station to depot 200m east of hotel, but infrequent service off-peak hours.

We made our way to Koyasan with our small group of 5 plus our guide, via a maze of trains, busy stations and platforms, a furnicular up the mountain and finally a bus to our temple stay. It was cold weather, even though it’s April. There were still a number of cherry trees blossoming- so pretty. The temple was attractive and comfortable ( if you count sleeping on the floor, sitting on the floor for meals comfortable!). Our room was heated but the rest of the temple was not so it was cool walking to the onsen and the meal room. Our room had the futon, pillows ( very uncomfortable), a low table, small TV, wifi, hanging space. Our evening meal and breakfast were traditional Japanese vegetarian and interesting food. We purchased sake for a very reasonable price with the evening meal. Beer was also available. The onsen was a good cultural experience ( and even better because I was there alone!) Our accommodation was very close to the Okunoin cemetery which is an absolute must see.
