1.42km from Sakon Nakhon City HallWe stayed initially for 7 nights but we ended up staying 9. If you're considering to visit this beautiful town, this hotel is one of the few good options. Staff don't talk in english nor understand what we sometimes tell them, but we can communicate with them as they are willing to see us happy at all times :-) The hotel has 5 floors and it is located in a very nice and quite area of Sakon Nakhon. At least, for us this area is super central to go to any other place in and/or outside the city. Nearby there are a few shops. The main road is only at a mere 200mt. Rooms are quite large and they have a kind of a sofa with a table in between. Preferably ask to stay in a room facing the main entrance of the hotel because the other rooms facing the back side (mostly the rooms next to the lift in all floors) can have a strong odor that comes from the kitchen. We stayed some days in a room next to the lift on the 4th floor but after 6 days I asked to change to another room because there was a very strong odor...no problem! We moved very quickly! The bathroom is small but enough for 2 persons. This hotel does not provide toiletries, only soap. Room housekeeping is very good and clean. Breakfast: it is served at the restaurant and it has both Asian and European options. Staff were always making us feel at home and we could ask them other options and they responded immediately. Breakfast is varied, fresh fruits, breads, Thai foods, noodles, rice, chicken, pork. When we arrived, no info about the city available at the reception nor any type of map of Sakon Nakhon, but as we talked to them and explained them that having maps would make tourist's lives easier, they promptly manage to order some brochures and maps. A very funny situation happened to us due the non existence of maps. The front desk staff called to a friend (that is a Teacher of Tourism in the university) to asked her to come to hotel to help 2 "farangs" and 20 minutes later 2 teacher appeared ! They gave us a very big help to understand the location of some temples and other monuments we wanted to visit. I thanked a lot! Dining: the restaurant has a vast menu filled with very delicious foods from Isan. Prices are reasonable (cheap) for a hotel. All areas and also the restaurant are always very clean. We very often see someone from the housekeeping cleaning the areas. The Hotel provides BICYCLES for free which turned to be very convenient as it helped us to shrink the distances between temples/monuments/restaurants. It is very likely that you will see only local people but actually Chinese, Viets,Malays Visit Sakon Nakhon on the week-ends and they fill up the hotel! Staff is very polite and attentive.
