The Carrefour hypermarket near the opposite, easy to purchase, not too far to drive to the attractions, the room type is relatively new, and the breakfast with the reservation is also very good .

|0.67km from city centerI have to start by saying that this hotel was in an ideal location to walk around what is an absolutely beautiful city. The issue that I have with it is that we booked here as it advertised parking. The warning I would give is that the small print then states that this is situated elsewhere and is chargeable. We booked whilst still on the road and when we arrived we struggled to find the hotel as it’s not really accessible by vehicle. We ended driving up an ‘authorised vehicles only’ road just to get to it. We were then told that they had no parking and were given a map with the two nearest locations of public car parks. (The receptionist was very patient as I was none too happy at this point due to being on the road for the better part of an entire day). The issue was that there was an Easter celebration event and we spent nearly an hour then driving around trying to find somewhere to park. The room was nice but was overly hot. Due to it being their winter the AC was only kicking out hot air albeit it had been 27c during the day. The window wouldn’t close properly which normally would be good due to the heat but the noise was unbearable. People were out drinking and celebrating till nearly 5am and then the refuse collection started around 7.30am even though it was Easter Sunday. Maybe some of these issues are not directly the fault of the hotel but thought it best to mention them. Great location but beware the noise and poor access for vehicles. The staff were kind and patient and went out of their way to help us.

|0.81km from city centerIf you like the historical aspect, this is an old monastery or convent that has been repurposed as a hotel in the university city of Salamanca. It has a huge courtyard on a steep, but walkable, hill and is attached to other historical buildings. The room itself is large and comfortable with excellent beds and pillows. We had a French balcony that overlooked the cathedral and has a fridge and safe. The bathroom is very modern, and we loved the plush bath sheets. Though we didn't go down to it, the hotel is very near the river, also within walking distance to the Plaza Major that has lots of cafes but less retail. The whole area is filled with 15th century buildings that are cathedrals, universities or used for student housing. It is a maze of narrow streets and alleys - so besides our guided tour, we did not venture very far from the hotel during our one night stay, though we understand it to be very safe. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel. The breakfast was outstanding, as you willl note from the pictures. The hotel has a large reception and lobby area that swings around to the breakfast room. The hallways are rather dark, and it is a bit of a maze to find your room. perfect for one night, amid centuries of history.

Rooms are pokey and very basic, doublebed tiny, No soundproofing so we were treated to the fun of a happy pair next door. They charge 10Es a night for pets, and there is no free parking. Inclusive of those charges it is over 50€s for one night. One of the worst places I have stayed.

|1.1km from city centerBooked here last minute on travel through Spain. It has several options which appealed to us: family rooms with kitchenette, pets welcomes, 24 hour check-in, secure parking, walking distance to city centre. There are other options for families with small children but none/few with the above conveniences. The positives: The area is easily reachable with a drop-off in front. Underground, secure parking is right around the corner with direct elevator access to the lobby/rooms. The facilities and rooms are clean and spacious. Bathroom was modern with good quality towels. Beds were comfortable. Some other reviewers complained about the distance to the old centre but frankly its 1 km! Come on! If you are using bus transport its right across the street from the bus terminal but its not a big city terminal which usually attracts ”colourful” characters. There's several eating options at the terminal. The underground parking was great in that the spaces were very large and it was secure. The negatives: As we arrived late the garage door was closed and wouldn't open automatically with the parking ticket so my wife had to get out and walk around to the lobby to ask they remotely open it. The air-con was a little noisy. The blind on our window was stuck closed so we couldn't let any daylight in, but we were just there for sleeping and bathing. The furniture is nothing special but functional.

The negative point is that you can hear everything. From 8:30 in the morning, you can hear the sounds of hotel staff cleaning and moving furniture.

|1.02km from city centerIt is 2 km from the railway station and only 5 euros by taxi. There is no need for a bus for 3 people, and there is no bus in front of the bus. The hotel is very quiet, there is a net red restaurant 50 meters walk, you need to book in advance. The room facilities are relatively new, the room is large, the bathroom function is partitioned, but the bathtub and shower are integrated. The toilets in the public areas are also clean and can be seen with care. The front desk was very welcoming and the breakfast was great, especially with the savory fritters and a variety of hams for a fee of EUR 9. It is the operation of the hot drinks machine is not very convenient, causing queues.

|1.8km from city centerWe were reaching Salamanca at 10.30pm and emailed the hotel to let them know and they replied reassuring me that there is a 24 hour reception which was very nice of them. Location was great as we wanted to walk around the old town, only the Roman bridge to cross. The price (room only) wad very good for the 4 star hotel it is. We paid 10 euro each for a buffet breakfast, where there was quite a lot of choice - I loved the pan con tomate (bread with olive oil and tomato which is a typical spanish thing!). The room as super clean and big, bathroom well equiped. Staff was friendly, professional and helpful. We will not hesitate to come back on our next visit!

Tienen en recepción, sobre un carrito, una bandeja con mini napolitanas de chocolate y una jarra de limonada gratuita a disposición de la gente. Dispone de parking pero es de pago, 15€ cada día. Sugiero buscar aparcamiento fuera ya que no es de pago. Si desayunas en el propio hotel, es tipo buffet, pero no esperes gran variedad, es más sencillo. Tienes café, leche, cereales, zumo naranja natural y otros en formato bote, varios tipos de bollería, varios tipos de panes para tostar, fruta cortada como melón y piña, etc. De noche, la habitación no está bien insonorizada, se oye a un bebé jugando y de madrugada llorando.

One of the rooms was fine, the other unfortunately stank of cigarette smoke despite the large amounts of air freshener that had been used, and leaving the windows open all the time didn't make it any better. Beds were ok, the breakfast selection was ok (though the room filled up quickly), the location is great. I guess you get what you pay for!

|0.63km from city centerI recently spent two nights at this hotel. It's well located, literally a one minute walk from the grand central square. And close to everything else you may want to see in the old city centre. I was greeted by the owner who was super friendly and welcoming. I spoke Spanish but he told me that he could speak English. I had a single room on the 4th floor, back side of the building. I would have maybe gone for a double front facing but it was the weekend and this was all that was available. The room was small but ok for me. There was a balcony facing a big interior area behind neighbouring buildings. I would have sat out there if it wasn't so cold at the time of my visit. The room was well heated. 4th floor wifi didn't work (I informed the owner of this) but I could pick up a weak signal from the floor below. There's no breakfast included but there are plenty of options nearby. Cafes, bakeries and restaurants. There are also a couple of sets of tables and chairs in reception where you can sit and could bring your take away food. To sum up, it's not particularly fancy but you're not visiting this impressive city in order to sit in your room. For me, the approach of the friendly owner/manager really made a difference to my stay.

No coffee machine, no hot water kettle, not even a box of tissues. There was a bottle of water but only one glass to drink it from. 2. The booking was for a double bed on our honeymoon but we got twin beds. When I inquired, we were told there’s no availability. But we booked a double room? So I didn’t really understand the purpose. 3. Noise travels in the hotel and you can hear footsteps and even plumbing at odd hours.

All personnel are very welcoming and do everything they can to help you enjoy your stay. Their offer full breakfast with great hot and cold options; and you can enjoy it while contemplating one of the most beautiful views over Plaza Mayor (main square). Furthermore, location is unbeatable. Overall, I love staying here year after year; I already consider them part of my extended family!

Two tables were vacated, cleaned up and Spanish guests who came after us, were assigned the tables and we were told to keep waiting. ”Espera!” we wanted to complain to the reception, and the gentleman only gave us the tip to come earlier, as breakfast already started at 8 o'clock. I tried to speak to the manager, but he said there wouldn't be one. And suddenly, he was on holiday and we didn't have the right to speak to him anyway. The women from the breakfast service were making signs among themselves as if we were crazy. Mrs Monica deliberately bumps into the chair of my fellow travellers as they walk past and then looks belligerent instead of apologising. I have been travelling to Spain for years and I have never encountered such unfriendliness
