The location of the hotel is okay, mainly because the Monterrey reservation is not available, so I chose this hotel in Monterrey to San Francisco. Front desk service is OK, breakfast is the kind of motel, about 800 yuan during the National Day, cost-effective is generally not recommended

This hotel feels a bit old and is apparently going through some renovations. The hotel room was clean and of a decent size. The bed is alright. I like that they provide soft and firm pillows. The bathroom was the problem - they have multi-use shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel, however, the shampoo and conditioner in my room was empty. I would think the staff would check this when they clean up after a previous customer. They provide a simple self-serve breakfast, which is convenient.

The room is not very big, no extra bed, the environment is not bad, the service is very good. Brushed twice, the front desk said that the amount of the second brush can be returned in 2-3 days. Today is the third day after check-out, and no refund has been received.

All the good reviews are right; this is a very nice hotel. We were in the area to visit the National Steinbeck Center in Salinas. The hotel is conveniently located off the highway, has ample parking, the rooms are newly remodeled and everything is new and clean. We booked a King room but got upgraded to a wonderful large suite with a balcony which had views of the mountain in the distance. There was a gas fireplace, good TV and big comfy bed. It is also next to a bustling McDonalds and In-N-Out burger and actually kind of fun for us to watch all the cars lining up for the drive through windows for hours (we’re easy to entertain). The next morning, we had the best breakfast of the entire week long vacation. There were scrambled eggs and sausage, waffles with like 9 toppings (!) plus syrup and whip topping, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, toast, muffins, 3 kinds of cereal, 3 kinds of juice, coffee and 3 kinds of fresh fruit. The dining room was perpetually kept clean. All the staff at the hotel were friendly, helpful and efficient. We really enjoyed our stay and would return again.

i like to spoil myself once a month by getting a room to enjoy being alone in a luxurious hotel, great service. I called to make a reservation, and i could almost see the smile on pinky”s face as she greeted me. Check in was quick and the front desk agent was Dave; who was very accommodating. As i entered the room, i could smell a clean crisp scent of what seemed to be flowers in spring. Everything was in its place and very clean. Im an owner of a maid service, so i look at everything. I had a question regu as reguarding a chanel on the tv, so ag a in.....Dave was very helpful. I slept like a baby on the king size bed, and awoke to a nutritious breakfast down in the breakfast room. Thank you to quality inn and pinky and Dave. My vacation was a success and i will return. Make sure you stop at this hotel to fill all your needs. Deborah Soper

The scale is quite large and the price is not expensive, which is an advantage. The disadvantage is that the bathroom is not clean and there are hairs from the customers in front. I have already paid for it at Ctrip, but the front desk charged me at the beginning. Although it was unintentional, there were still problems with the management. I said I wanted a quiet room, because my mother had a heart attack when she was old, but she arranged for me to be on the road and changed it after repeated requests. This experience was not good. There is no breakfast, but that's fine, continental breakfast is only $5.

Breakfast is very simple. The hotel has a small open-air swimming pool, where children can bubble their feet after breakfast, and unknown water birds will fall by the swimming pool. It is not scary at all. Health is ok, much better than Days Hotel. I chose this because the hotels in Monterey during the summer are too expensive, the prices here are much more affordable and the service is good. When we checked out, we left a backpack in our room, and when we came back, the service staff found it directly.

As a Marriott Titanium Guest, my best friend and I spent three (3) nights at The Residence Inn Salinas Monterey using three (3) Marriott category 5 certificates to enjoy the beauty that is Carmel-by-the-Sea, Monterey and Santa Cruz during Thanksgiving Weekend. Hannah was the Front Desk Clerk on duty throughout the duration of our stay and she was absolutely fantastic, both before our arrival (when we called ahead with our Special Requests) as well as the entire duration of our stay. Her customer service skills and hospitality were simply exemplary and were very much appreciated and welcomed. Similarly, the staff members on duty each morning for the complimentary morning breakfast spread where also outstanding as well. Using my Marriott Suite Awards, we were automatically upgraded in advance of our arrival to a two (2) bedroom, two (2) bathroom Suite with a gas fireplace on the Third Floor of the hotel for the duration of our stay, which was well-equipped with a full kitchen (which we used every night for dinner) in the common area, along with a large flat screen TV, a gas fireplace, a dining table as well as a spacious couch and two (2) bedrooms (each with a full bathroom, desk, closet and a flat screen TV). There were numerous parking spaces available throughout the hotel property so parking was never an issue. The complimentary morning breakfast spread was fantastic when we arrived each morning when it opened to avoid any large crowds, to have the best selection and to allow us to get out and about as soon as possible each day. The breakfast spread included all you can eat ”make-your-own” waffles, scrambled eggs, some type of breakfast meat (bacon, ham or sausage), a wide variety of cereals (including oatmeal), bagels, toast, fresh fruit (bananas / apples / oranges), Chobani Greek Yogurt, coffee, tea, apple juice, cranberry juice, orange juice and water, It was a great way to start the day! We really enjoyed using the BBQ grill* in the outdoor courtyard patio area, which had a fire pit, an indoor in-ground heated pool (which was closed due to Covid-19 restrictions) and numerous seating areas plus we took full advantage of the fully-equipped kitchen every day for dinner. * We grilled steak and sausage using the BBQ grill ... they were exquisite and we definitely attracted a lot of attention from other hotel guests whom were jealous that they failed to plan ahead to take advantage of this incredible amenity. There was also a half-court basketball area for guest use. The Residence Inn Salinas Monterey is very convenient to the three (3) cities that we wanted to explore / hike throughout our long weekend, including Carmel-by-the-Sea, Monterey and Santa Cruz. We were easily able to get to each of these cities for a full day of exploration from the centrally-located and easily accessible hotel. All in all it was an incredible stay at The Residence Inn Salinas Monterey and we thank Hannah and the rest of her fellow co-workers for such a

Had to ring a bell to try to get someone to appear at the front desk to check us in. Had to ring at check out as well. Guy behind the front desk said he couldn’t split our bill for the two rooms and wasn’t able to give us a receipt for the charges. The king bed in my room had a strip of a sheet across the bed that didn’t cover my feet or my shoulders. Bed was lumpy and the pillow was a rock hard square. Didn’t use the duvet as it was covered in blood stains. The breakfast was a warm Sunny D, Bimbo muffins from 7-11 and a Costco granola bar all in a brown paper bag handed to me by the guy at the front desk after I rang the bell to summon him. This is a motel with the door facing an outside walkway and parking lot. After lying down for the night, I thought I’d check the large window facing the outside walkway. It was unlocked. All night long I got to listen to the sound of clacking high heels going back and forth in front of my room. At checkout I saw the woman, heels, jacket and g-string and that’s all. In addition, a man in the parking lot screaming obscenities at 5:30 in the morning. Nope. Just nope.

Had car trouble on New Years Eve. Checked in and was delighted by front desk personal Michelle and Nadia. All smiles. John the night auditor too plenty of smiles. This is rare for a night auditor as they usually choose their job not having to deal with people. The upgrade in a/c and heating controls seem to have a few bugs still in them. TV screen was too small for the spacious room. Bathroom is nice and large too. Rug, really nice and thick carpeting makes it a dream to walk on. Though entranceway was not and naturally the bathroom too there was no coldness to ones barefoot touch. Kids rule. Perfect for the family as the breakfast included had everything one could wish for. Granola, when was the last time you enjoyed this at a hotel breakfast. Naturally the fruit loop container emptied fast. Orange juice was not, it dispensed cold water. Apples and oranges were supermarket size. Line at waffle maker. Hotel was sold out the previous three nights. There are none to match the quality here. One thing the bathroom could use would be rainforest shower heads. Hot water in about 2 minutes, as it is winter time. Lighting in the lobby and breakfast area supurb. Rooms were quiet, no outside street noise. Noise absent from adjoining rooms too. 3 not 2 large bath towels and accompanying smaller ones are nice. Clean hallways and rooms. Quick telephone response. One can see their smiles. .Pantry is well stocked and the dining area pleasantly decorated. Accompanying photos may be sideways as Trip Advisor has not corrected their bugs in the system. Elevator is quick, quicker than most of a three story abode. Entrance has two double doors and driveway is quite convenient Starbucks is at the corner. Quick trip to the Steinbeck Center. Secret, Cannery Row use to be called Ocean View until the publication of John Steinbeck's ”Cannery Row”. John was born in Salinas. Only until the early 1960's did the population of the Salinas Valley outnumber that of the Monterey Peninsula. John would not recognize it now. My grandfather S.F.B. Morse (Google) knew him well. John wrote his novels in Pacific Grove, a town grandad owned. Before he became famous for ”The Grapes of Wrath,” he wrote a column for a San Francisco newspaper entitled, ”Migrant Gypsies.”. Salinas would not be Salinas if it were not for agriculture. All the lettuce America eats comes from Salinas. Easy freeway 101 access, connecting to the Monterey exit. Salinas is the county capital too. Hotel is safe no car break ins at night. Microwave and large personal refrigerator are handy especially if you have kids. Train stops here. For those who enjoy the Coast Starliner from Los Angeles to San Francisco the hotel is 5 Uber minutes away. Not much to do in Salinas at night, so relax here. Gordon the general manager and Larissa the guest service manager will do everything to assure that your stay is a pleasant one. Once you stay, except for car trouble you wil

If you're looking for a place that's reasonably priced and clean and convienient, this is it. Don't expect bells and whistles. The rooms are small compared to other similar hotel/motels, but it's right off the highway and there is a Denny's and Jack in the Box right next door. The staff at the front desk are awesome! Lisa and Angela were very friendly and helpful (five stars for them!). Again, pretty basic place but our room was clean every day with fresh towels and we had no issues.
